SU AU Stobotnik

I love making Steven Universe and Homestuck AUs of random characters, so here’s my Dr. Robotnik and Agent Stone as gems idea.

Robotnik is a one of a kind red emerald owned by White Diamond. He would have been shattered for being “off color” if not for the fact that his uniqueness makes him significantly smarter than all the other emeralds and White feels she can use this to her advantage. He’s White’s resident scientist/weapons engineer, and her sort of “pet/secret weapon” thing. He starts going by Bixbite to further separate himself from the other “rocks for brains” emeralds (yes, I know there’s a cannon Bixbite, but I found that out after I made this AU, so too bad, Robotnik’s the only Bixbite in existence in this AU). However, he’s incredibly difficult to interact with, so White usually has another gem relay messages for her. He often ends up poofing said messengers, though, out of irritation. This becomes a problem, so out of passive aggressiveness and trying to fix the problem, White makes him a Pearl specially suited to match his personality (so as not to be afraid to talk to him) and act as a barrier between Robotnik and every other gem. This Pearl is Agent Stone. At first, Robotnik is the happy with another plebeian gem in his lab, calling Pearl “nothing more than a common stone to him.” Eventually, he starts to grow on him, and the nickname “Stone” sticks. Stone, of course, in typical pearl fashion, starts to fall in love with his Bixbite.

I have more to their story, but it’s not all fleshed out, yet. Some random tidbits I have…

-Pearl’s weapons are handguns

-Bixbite hates working under White and wants to be his own boss

-They’re not for the revolution, but they’re not against it either. They couldn’t care less about some planet called “Earth” with other creatures on it. But at some point, Bixbite gets cracked and needs to be healed. Pearl hears about a rebel Rose Quarts with healing powers and escapes with his broken boss to Earth to heal him. They end up getting stuck on Earth as Homeworld fugitives.

-Bixbite enjoys making ships, but is envious of the fact that the other emeralds get to actually fly them, while he’s stuck on the ground. He secretly wishes to see the stars and often daydreams about space.

-They accidentally fuse very briefly while Bixbite is cracked, so he has no memory of this happening, but Pearl remembers. He never said anything to anyone (not even his boss) about it, but has been trying to recreate that moment ever since. When he finally does, their fusion isn’t very stable, breaking apart only moments later. Bixbite ends up having a distaste for fusion, feeling like he’s losing himself when he fuses.

-Bixbite does eventually return Pearl's romantic feelings, but they find other ways to show their love outside of fusion.

Being in romance lover groups and writer groups on Facebook, and doing research (ie: reading romance novels,) I find it interesting that Tumblr seems unique in having a preference for 2nd person.

I'm not sure if Wattpad prefers 2nd POV, but I know I see a lot on there, too. So I'd wager they do.

I vaguely wonder if it has to do with the boom in popularity that D&D has encountered, since the 2nd POV method is ingrained with that. Maybe even the growing popularity of otome games, too. Since many are in 2nd POV, as well.

Regardless, in many of the traditionally published romance books I've encountered, it's either 1st POV or 3rd POV.

What are your thoughts on this?

Chapter 5 is finally up! In this chapter, Teri teaches Saaltar about butterflies and apples while he breaks in his human form some more. They're on their way to the campus cafeteria during this chapter and after they get there, Saaltar meets the sweet lunch lady, Sylvie and gets bombarded by Galatea and Penelope. 

It's a pretty quirky, cute, fun, and fluffy chapter. 

Stay tuned for Chapter 6 when Teri sees where Saaltar's been staying, The Stargazer Inn and meets the eccentric innkeeper, Minos Alistair. She also takes him shopping at a local boutique before moving him into her house.

I've been thinking, doing this a lot lately cause omg I can't sleep and I have work in a few hours, about this thirst I have for non-humans and somehow, I thought about also exploring avenues of just cohabiting / cohabitating with them. Electrical bills got you stressed out? Well, say hello to some zap zappity electric abilities from your favorite circuit starlight babycakes. Mine's Plo and his electric judgment — or Vox from Hazbin, no one's judging.

Your partner's god acid fluids like spit? Perfect garbage disintegrator!

Most non-humans smell pheromones a mile away, so if you're horny or it's that time of the month, you know they know and they know to like, idk.. leave you the fuck alone or spoil you — the better >:[

They're probably super strong or skilled to kill. You will never have any reason to be afraid or insecure. Someone tells you you don't look good in that croptop, bet your ass they go bye-bye in like 10 seconds — maybe 5 unless you stop them idk.

They have, without a doubt, a ship one way or another. Traffic who? Boss ass car dropping you off at your stupid 9-5 job, no thanks, drop me off in that sexy interceptor, baby ♥. May include accidentally parking atop your asshole of a boss and killing them — now a new spot is open for you.

Most non-human species I believe will have mating season. Plot your work leave accordingly for the best vacation of your life, bestie.

You get cool new gadgets cause their tech would probably be more advance than ours.

imagine a monster x human story where the monster race can transfuse their blood with anyone of their species, only for the monster to suddenly realize the fact they can't give their blood to their beloved human... how the monster must feel that only a select group of humans can transfer blood between each other -- them trying process the different social/emotional meanings & symbolisms this hold for each of their species, and trying to figure out how to feel about it, all while ultimately being distraught that they can't do this for their human

i know i can't argue with reality here but it's devastatingly unromantic that blood transfusions only work if you have compatible blood types

Marigold is not really a people person, but she's been trying to mingle around the dating scene with no success (a massive failure to say the least). A random stop at the local gym and sparks are flying with this new girl in town named Ariana. She's cute, she's friendly, and not taken aback by Marigold's awkwardness.
