If I had a nickel for every time I've became quickly attached to a character dubbed as Jane Doe I'd have three nickels. It isn't a lot but it's funny how it happened thrice

Concept art of MegaMan X as an alien cyborg.
He travelled to Earth to retrieve Zero, who was shot down in the middle of a space battle.
Duo is the good Commander in this AU, who approved of him doing this.
He’s taken in by Alia and her two daughters, who help him in his mission.

7, 17, and 37 for the fic writer ask game!!!
(also HI FELIS!!!!!)
Hi En!!! So uh, gonna be honest. I have one fic that's not even finished! Was gonna save that to like. pick my own brain about my personal writing ideas so uh hope you don't mind if I just talk about those instead thumbs up emoji 👍
Tumblr media
This is a little snippet from a drabble I titled 'Stargazing Skies' and essentially it's just my two OCS Aster and Clementine being saps, I think it's one of my favorites mostly due to the writing style rather than the story itself, I feel like it's just one of my better pieces despite the length!
Normally I write my pieces start to finish, if I write them out of order though I'll usually start with the end scene or whichever scene actually made me want to start the project and work my way there! :)
OO BOY OKAY MY WIPS.
Currently my only actual fanfiction. Unnamed lintroller arcade fic featuring Troy being amazing at pinball and terrible at DDR (Lint pretends to be worse), and Jax shows up too 👍
There's also Almond Branch, which is essentially just like. toxic yuri featuring a little bit of murder mystery:3 (ACTUAL EXPLANATION AS TO WHAT IT IS. Opal starts college in a new town, and makes friends with a barista, Nova. Nova becomes a little bit obsessed with Opal and the people hitting on her end up missing or dead teehee. This is a little bit out of my zone as I haven't really written anything with death like that before, but it's been a fun project so far!!)
Space Boy! A bit of an impulse project that I started while listening to Space Girl by Frances Forever, essentially an alien (Jasper) from another world crashes into Earth, and slowburns with a guy (Orion) he meets there. Very original, I know! /sar/sill

who rings their own doorbell? from 11 to rose
there are parts of day to day life that she has yet to figure out,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎parts as simple as keeping tasks organized‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(rent,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎taxes,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎even putting petrol in a car).‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she knew them once,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎selves ago where rose was nothing more than a day to day occurrence of repeated interactions that were destined to make her go mad some day.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she catches herself feeling that now‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎again,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎in a moment like this searching through her purse for her flat keys:‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎but she takes a deep breath,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a steadying one every time.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎|‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎it could be worse,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she could be her old self‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎nothing more,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎to the shop‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎back,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎to the chippy‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎back,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎turn on a show‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎rot away into her couch until sleep came for the night,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎to do it all once more.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎at least there's the new in between,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎keeping up with the space like happenings around town that never seem to stop.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎once her eyes were opened,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎they could never be shut again.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎it would be impossible for her to just go on.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she couldn't in her old home‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(dad's world as she had grown to call out in her diary sprawling),‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she couldn't do it here:‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎back again,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎new name,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎same memories.‎
it's days like these,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎where nothing exciting's happened,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎there's nothing for her to look forward to,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎that she struggles–‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎evidently so by the way she rummages through her fairly empty bag looking in circles for keys that she knows aren't there‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(the tardis key was always on her,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎it felt like a birth mark,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a part of herself that she could sense with every passing second‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎/‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎keys that had much more importance to her than those to a boring‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎undecorated flat).‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"shit."‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎when she finally looks up to her door,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎flat number 9,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she can't help her pitiful attempt at getting in.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎pressing the doorbell is a joke,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a personal one that makes her focus,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎take a deep breath,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎don't get too frustrated,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎keys don't just up‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎disappear.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎so she closes her eyes,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎traces her steps from the bus back to the library,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎back to the coffeeshop,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎back to the–‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎who rings their own doorbell?
Tumblr media
"oh my god!"‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she stumbles nearly a few feet back,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎grasping at her chest to instinctually feel for her heart.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she's used to being startled,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎grown almost comfortable with the familiarity of a racing chest‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎lungs that seemingly have forgotten how to function...‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎but not in her home,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎not when there's a strange man,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎@denouemente,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎standing in her now open doorway,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a doorway that for all intents‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎purposes,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎should be closed.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"um..."‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎fear doesn't become rose t.yler,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎it's a rare thing‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(even now she knows there's a blaster,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎one of torchwood's creations back in her dad's world,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎resting nicely‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ready to be drawn in her bag).‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"someone who doesn't know where her keys are–‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎how the 'ell are you in there?"‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a finger raises,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎pointing into the slightly inhospitable living space behind him‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(not the neatest,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎not decorated).‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"how the 'ell did you get in my flat ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎why the 'ell would'ya open the door if someone rang the doorbell?"‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎she should be concerned,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎any normal person would be:‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎but color her curious as her hand moves to position itself for quick grab‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎&‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎fire,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎of course only if need be.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎"it's a bit fucking creepy don'tcha think?"

I think you might have talked about this before, but #3 for Pallas, for the pride month themed oc asks?
3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?
oooo ok so i think i’ve posted an excerpt from the actual book about Pallas Gender Stuff (tldr is they got the experience of being blissfully ignorant to the concept of gender as a kid until they became Aware it was a capital-C Concept and then everything felt wrong) so i wanna ramble a bit about their aro-aceness since i haven’t really gotten the opportunity to do that yet lol.
i don’t think it was something they always knew necessarily, but especially their lack of romantic attraction was always something they were vaguely aware of. when they were really little they were definitely a kid that went ‘ewwww’ and made a face whenever anyone talked about kissing. in general they just never found romance interesting in the way they found basically everything else interesting. like. why do these characters keep staring at each other can we get back to politics please this has literally nothing to do with the plot why is it important this is so boring. i think they were in the boat of fully thinking that romance and being horny were things made up in stories to add drama until people around them started experiencing it, which is when the Realization hit and they actual started to question that aspect of their identity.

August Movie Review Catch-Up: The Heat Dissipates
August Movie Review Catch-Up: The Heat Dissipates
CREDIT: Warner Bros. Pictures (CREDIT: Screenshot) I saw a bunch of movies in August 2024 that I haven’t released my full thoughts about yet, as it’s been too hot to say too much about any one movie. So I waited until September in the hopes that it would cool down at least a little bit and that I wouldn’t overheat from all this film analysis. Continue reading August Movie Review Catch-Up: The…

I’m reminded of something TV veteran Stephanie Savage told me while I was reporting Welcome to The O.C. We were discussing Oliver, a troublemaking character from the teen drama’s first season. Viewers loathed the Oliver arc, and not necessarily for the reasons that Savage and the other writers assumed they would. The problem, she explained, wasn’t that Oliver was a bad guy. It was that Oliver was obviously a bad guy, yet every character but Ryan couldn’t recognize that he was a bad guy, and refused to believe it even when Ryan offered evidence — and that this phase of the story went on for a while, rather than Ryan convincing his friends within an episode of developing his own suspicions. The audience, Savage realized, doesn’t like to get too far ahead of the characters, and they begin to resent it when bad things happen entirely because the people on screen can’t see what we see.
I’ve Got a Secret: It’s Better When Everyone on the Show Knows About a Hidden Identity
