So it’s so random, but it turns out that my name, something I’ve quite liked, wasn’t ever really chosen for me. It was chosen by my grandmother for my cousin, who was born a month before I was, and then they didn’t like it, so my dad used the name for me, because he’s like a mommas boy (to an insane degree) and he was sad that the name she’d suggested wasn’t being used so he simply forced it upon me. The worst part of this all is that I really felt close to my name and now, all I can think of is that they named me something …but it had nothing to do with me. Not whether it suited me or if it was nice, it was meant for someone else and I was simply given it instead. They put no thought into what their daughter should be called and I can’t see a silver lining to this information I have been given so late in my life
