Thanks to Pam for sending me this. She got her daughter an ‘80s trivia game for Christmas and this was one of the questions. Pretty cool, even though the answer isn’t completely correct. They left off the Dexter-Rowan part. 😆

Wow what a work of art, looks beautiful. Great image of the amazing Dame Joan Collins appearance in Star Trek TOS as Edith Keeler.
I tried my best with this coloring book to make it look like the real scene. To the point where I was basically erasing (whiting-out) the original lines. 😅🥰

This distinctive pearl necklace was designed by Joseff of Hollywood, who created jewelry for many films during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Because Joseff was not contracted to a particular studio, he was able to rent out his pieces to all of the film studios.
The above necklace first appeared on Kay Francis as Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez in the 1941 adaptation of Charley’s Aunt. In 1945 it appeared on Marsha Hunt as Constance Scott in The Valley of Decision. The following year saw it worn on the neck of Nella Walker as Mrs. Lawrence Tyburt Patterson Sr. in Two Sisters from Boston. 1947’s Northwest Outpost used it on Lenore Ulric as Baroness Kruposny. Ilona Massey was next to wear the piece as Madame Egelichi in the 1949 Love Happy.
In the 1952 adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s novel My Cousin Rachel, Olivia de Havilland wore the necklace as Countess Rachel Sangalletti Ashley, and it features somewhat in the plot of the production. Richard Burton’s character gives the necklace to Rachel as a symbolic gesture that he wishes to marry her, which sets the remainder of the story into motion. The passage in the novel describing the necklace says:
There were four strands. They fastened around the neck like a band, with a single diamond clasp.
The description in the novel obviously does not match its representation on screen, but it is a beautiful necklace nonetheless.
Finally, in 1987, the necklace was seen on Joan Collins’ character Alexis Carrington Colby in the episode of Dynasty entitled The Fair.
The necklace eventually went up for auction at Julien’s Auctions in the 2017 Joseff of Hollywood: Treasures from the Vault. The action describes the piece as:
A triple-strand, tiered necklace of alternating simulated diamonds and pearls with pearl drops. The necklace has four simulated mabe pearl medallions and is stamped on the back “Joseff Hollywood.”

One Dress a Day Challenge
July: Green Redux (+ Blue Redux)
Dynasty / Joan Collins as Alexis Carrington Colby
A friend sent me this picture. I think of it as "the Christmas dress" because of the red sash, but I've never watched the show, so I don't know anything about the context. (Maybe one of you can give me more details?) Judging by the hairstyle and the general lines of the dress, I'm going to guess it's early-ish in the show's run. I like the effect of the pearl necklace and bracelet.

The Wales Wailers were convinced that Charles wanted to screw over William so badly that he was going to force Harry to sit in the front row next to W&C&kids and that Harry was definitely going to be on that balcony, in a carriage and in official pics. Now, the day's not over yet but that scenario looks exceedingly unlikely. They also say that Camilla is obsessed with trying to outshine Catherine. Well Camilla didn't even attend the reception this evening. How is the woman looking to make this event the wedding she never had when she wasn't even at one of the events? I swear, they see all kinds of things that aren't there and completely miss what's clearly obvious to the rest of us.
It amazes me, but the Wales Wailers have basically invented a Krystal Carrington vs Alexis Colby scenario between Camilla & Kate. Never mind that it's completely imaginary.
They truly believe that this is what is happening behind the scenes:

In 2018, you commented your dream was to create the floorplan for Alexis Carrington Colby's penthouse. Did you ever make it? I cannot seem to find it? Thank you!
From 2018 until now, a lot has happened.
The death of my father, a pandemic, a whole year to prepare the book that will come out this October... so I have had to postpone many things.
But since the beginning of this year I have closed my Etsy shop to focus on creating new projects.
Right now I'm doing the bus of "The adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The desert", then I'll do the apt. from "Laura" (one of my favorite movies), then the "Barbie" house for the premiere of her movie, maybe some hotel room... and then Alexis's apartment.
Or at least I will try, because there are three floors and I have to put together many pieces that I don't know if they will fit and there are several blank spaces to fill.
I also think that my OCD will force me to complete it with the plan of his office.
After Alexis's apt. I will do other long postponed designs like Bag End from the saga of "The Lord of the Rings" and "The hobbit" and the swamp cabin from "Shrek".
If I only had time or a mecenas...
Check my IG for updates.

Joseff of Hollywood, a master jeweler 💎 who provided pieces for countless films during the studio era, is credited with creating this pearl necklace. Joseff’s exquisite jewelry was in high demand, and he rented his creations to multiple studios since he was not contracted to a specific one. 💕 The piece made its first appearance in the 1941 adaptation of 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒆𝒚’𝒔 𝑨𝒖𝒏𝒕, gracing Kay Francis as Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez before being used again in 1952 by Olivia de Havilland as Rachel Sangalletti Ashley, in Daphne du Maurier’s 𝑴𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏 𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍, 📚 where the necklace became an integral part of the plot, which Richard Burton’s character gifting the necklace to Rachel as a symbolic gesture, setting the stage for a captivating tale of love and intrigue. 💍 The last known usage of this necklace 📿 before it was auctioned off was in the 1987 episode of 𝑫𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒚, entitled 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒓, where it was worn by none other than Joan Collins as Alexis Carrington Colby. 🔗 This necklace has been used many more times over the years.
