C’est l’heure de l’ouverture des cadeaux. Gérard se demande si quelqu’un va remarqué qu’il a volé les cadeaux. Ses parents ne sont pas au courant, mais il travaille dans le milieu du crime. C’est la seule solution qu’il a trouvé pour payer les charges de cette énorme maison que ses parents avaient construit et que sa femme a décidé de rénover de manière écologique.

André est un peu vieille école et préfèrerait que ce soit Alexandre, son petit-fils, qui hérite la maison et la fortune familiale. Malheureusement pour lui, Betty est une simette moderne et n’a pas l’intention de se faire dicter ses choix par son beau-père. HSH Princess Grace of Monaco by Ricardo Macarrón.

The first painting appears to be a marvelously executed artist’s study. Laurel Pantin of the website Coveteur reported, “In 1977, Ricardo Macarrón painted Princess Grace at his studio in Madrid. In 2016, [this study] was purchased to be part of the Princely Palace Collection, and was loaned to Cartier by Prince Albert II to be part of the [mansion’s reopening celebrations in September 2016.]” The photo of the painting shown above was taken by Coveteur’s Alec Kugler.

Familiar to most Grace fans is Macarrón’s final product, a glorious illustration of the princess, now seated, draped in a red velvet Madame Grès gown. A lace-entwined, braided bandeau hairpiece, most likely fashioned by “artisan of French luxury” Alexandre de Paris, crowns her upswept blonde tresses. Grace’s elegantly sumptuous jewels - the legendary 10.48 carat diamond and platinum Cartier engagement ring, a pair of diamond and pearl-drop earrings (more Cartier?) and her Van Cleef & Arpels diamond and sapphire brooch, artfully placed at the bosom - also feature prominently.
