#39🎬 Crazy, Not Insane (2020) Documentário bacana sobre uma psiquiatra americana que foi uma das precursoras no estudo da mente dos assassinos. Quem já viu a série Mindhunter vai achar interessante mas não vai empolgar pois a série já destrinchou bastante o assunto. Aqui a melhor parte acaba sendo quando a Dra. Dorothy Lewis vai entrevistar o responsável pelas execuções dos condenados à pena de morte na Louisiana, alguém que literalmente ter permissão para matar outras pessoas. Tenso, somente essa parte. In the era of #metoo and Trump, former President Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky is ripe for examination again in the new documentary “The Clinton Affair.” Timed with the twentieth anniversary of the scandal, the three-night documentary series from Academy Award and Emmy-winning producer Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions and Emmy-winning director Blair Foster premiered on Sunday night at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on the A&E channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz7GIbRYxsw Indeed, early reviews have commented on the documentary’s themes that still resonate today: investigating presidents, the use of special prosecutors and the need for independent curbs on executive power. Although the Clintons are not interviewed in the documentary, several key players are—including friends, lawyers and confidants of the famed political family, as well as Lewinsky herself. Lewinsky is said to discuss the clandestine beginnings of her relationship with the president, her betrayal by Linda Tripp, and her experience with the ensuing media storm. Lewinsky has since stated in the days leading up to the documentary’s premiere that she chose to participate in the new series to ensure that her experience "never happens to another young person in our country again." The film also explores the lawsuit brought by Paula Jones against Clinton, and how the president's refusal to settle the case ultimately let the Lewinsky relationship, and Clinton's lies about it, become a threat to his presidency. The documentary examines the Clintons’ public persona and actions, hinting at the repercussions that would affect their legacy and subsequent professional ambitions. Featuring never-before-seen archival footage, the documentary also touches on broader subjects including media, feminism, politics and power. It ponders if Clinton’s subsequent impeachment trial set the nation on the path towards a more staunchly partisan political system, as well. Producer Alex Gibney is a documentary film director and producer. In 2010, Esquire magazine said Gibney "is becoming the most important documentarian of our time." His previous documentaries include the Oscar-nominated Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, and the Oscar-winning Taxi to the Dark Side. “The Clinton Affair” premiered on Sunday night at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on the A&E channel, and will air through the 20th.   Read the full article

Ken Kesey & his wife Norma Faye Haxby, ”Faye Kesey”, New York City, November 1985. Junior high school sweethearts, the two married in 1956. Though Faye didn’t join the Merry Pranksters on the famous 1964 cross country Psychedelic Bus Ride with Neal Cassady at the helm, popularized by the “Electric Acid Kool-Aid Test,” the two remained married till Ken passed away in 2001. Kesey was writing “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” that year, which drew heavily on his experiences at the hospital.
