I cannot speak of the modern electronica without mentioning one of the most successful outfits there. Yes, we have to deal with the Chainsmokers. I mean, they became the Nickelback of EDM, though I do think I get why they ended up like this. Check their debut single on the link and notice the latter promised a more adventurous band in a way. Look, I get that the tune might be an intentional attempt to be viral, yet there's a certain cheeky energy present there they forgot to include later on. Mind you, them trying to achieve the similar mischievousness could have backfired immensely, yet something was lost, when they transformed into the emo electronica for those who like the style, though they want to experience the brand without the pesky guitars.

file that under reasons I wish quick chat was not a thing in cc, I guess. there's definitely a risk that people would be jerks with party chat enabled, but giving dudebros with anger issues access to a button they can press to easily spam the chat rather than meticulously typing out their grievances in the middle of a high-stakes match just makes flaming your party so much easier

I've played thousands upon thousands of matches of Frontlines and the amount of times I've seen flaming absolutely pales in comparison to the flaming I witness even in casual CC matches. quick chat is so nice in theory but in practice it allows people to harass their party members with a literal press of a button

not to mention it makes the whole experience feel so impersonal and just less fun!! if I can't enjoy some goofing and gaffing in party chat when there's a calm moment then what's the point :(
