casey x alex x reader headcanons
alex is “in charge” in the sense that she’s the most responsible & reasonable
casey is more easygoing and down to break the rules every once in awhile
it makes for a perfect match for the three of you because you balance out the both of them
they both love doting on you and taking care of you. alex might be the one who’s mainly the “leader” but she and casey both smother you with love affection and care
CASEY GOES ALL OUT ON VALENTINE’S DAY!!!! obviously everyone gets gifts for each other and plans things but casey just takes it to an extreme
alex likes to dress you up for fancy events!!! she grew up going to all these galas and benefits so she knows what’s expected and she also likes to see you getting dressed
contrarily though, she trusts casey to get herself ready because she’s been used to these events since the start of her law career
casey gets jealous suuuuper easily
she also shows it heavily because she has no problem showing everyone how she feels
alex definitely gets jealous as well but she’s better at keeping her emotions in check and will wait to express it until a more productive time
alex is definitely the type to give the silent treatment if she’s mad, but if you or casey gave her the silent treatment she’d think you’re being immature
nsfw
casey is more goofy during sex
alex is more serious
alex likes to be in control
sometimes she takes control by telling casey what to do to you and just watches
it turns her on to see both of her girlfriends getting off, even if she’s not the one doing it
even better if she gets to join in later
alex looooves to get multiple orgasms out of you. she’s the type to keep you up all night until you can barely feel your legs
casey is usually the one to bring up new things to try out or experiment with
you have a collection of toys to use together but you don’t use them that often
casey uses the toys on you more than alex
they like to blindfold you
you have a safe word, but it’s rarely used— if ever. alex and casey love having power over you, but i don’t think they’re as dominance obsessed as people usually say they are. like yes u get kinky but sometimes u all just like to have intimate vanilla sex

After General Anesthesia
Alex Cabot x Casey Novak x fem!reader Warnings: hospital times, fluffity fluff, mentions of sex, poly representation so if you're not on board with that byeeeeee, some explicit language Word Count: 1.3k
Summary: You wake up in the hospital, groggy from the anesthesia, to two of the most beautiful women you've ever seen doting on you. Imagine your surprise when it turns out you're dating. Both of them.
Your ears and nose woke up before the rest of you. The beeping of various monitors, that sickly-clean alcohol smell. You knew before you’d opened your eyes that you were in a hospital. You’d spent too much time in hospitals with your brother not to know. You blinked against the fluorescent lights, wincing at a sudden, sharp pain in your leg.
Your head still felt fuzzy, and you didn’t remember why you were here. But your confused thoughts were interrupted as one of the most stunning women you’d ever seen in your life rushed at you, kissing your face, cupping your cheeks, and grasping your fingers in hers.
“Honey, she’s awake!” Alex called to Casey, her glasses slipping down her nose as she smiled softly at you, worried hands fluttering over your face, your arms, your body.
Casey quickly occupied the space next to Alex, leaning down and holding the palm of your hand to her flushed face. “I swear to god, Y/N, if you ever scare us like that again…”
You were dreaming. You had to be dreaming. Because a hot woman fawning over you in a hospital bed was unbelievable enough. Two hot women? That was the stuff of dreams, not reality. You had no idea who they were.
The doctors had told Casey and Alex to expect some temporary memory loss and confusion after the general anesthesia. They’d told you, too, but of course you didn’t remember.
Your words felt heavy as they fell out of your mouth, jumbled like marbles. “What’s going on?”
“You broke your ankle, sweetheart, remember?” Alex responded, scooting her chair closer to the bed so she could sit next to you and hold your hand. “But it went septic. You were very sick.”
“Yes, and you scared the hell out of me,” Casey finished, grasping your face and planting a firm kiss on your forehead before sitting down, too. She leaned over the bed railing to rest her head on your thigh, looking up at you.
You’d never felt so flustered and confused in your life. Two women. Two women holding your hand!? Touching you!? But as confused as you were, all the questions in your brain were drowned out by one, single, all-consuming thought: so, so beautiful. You felt like you’d been hit head-on by a dump truck of hormones and emotions.
“You two…” you started, words slurring like you were drunk, “...are so pretty. Like, wow.”
They shared a confused glance as you continued to ramble.
“Please tell me you’re single?” you asked, trying to wink and blinking instead. “At least one of you?”
A smile tugged at the corner of Alex’s mouth, and Casey was barely holding in her laughter.
“Wait, wait, wait,” you said, holding up a hand and gesticulating wildly. “Let me try something. I’ve been working on this.”
Casey’s shoulders had started to shake with laughter, and Alex’s eyes sparkled with mirth.
You hit them with your very best finger guns. “Hey, girl. Are you a savings account? Because I’m accruing interest in you.”
At this, Alex and Casey burst out laughing, falling into one another, equal parts delighted by your post-surgery high and relieved that you were really and truly going to be okay.
“Wait! I’ve got more!” You waggled your eyebrows at Alex, and the way she looked at you, you knew–even in your doped-up, memory-loss state–that there was no need for pick-up lines here. She was already yours. Hook, line, and sinker. But since you had it prepped: “Hey, girl. It’s just you and me in the sheets tonight. The spreadsheets! Let’s budget, baby!”
Casey was laughing so hard she was snorting, and Alex was gingerly wiping tears from under eyes, trying to smudge her mascara. You felt like you were on cloud nine. If you could do nothing else in your life except make these two women laugh, you’d die happy.
“Come on,” you needled, smiling ear to ear. “Look at me, I’m adorable. I’m charming. You know you want to give me a chance.”
Alex coughed, trying to pull herself together, and Casey leaned down again, placing her chin on your leg and staring up at you lovingly.
“Y/N, you know we’re dating, right?”
Your eyebrows shot up and you stared at her. Her auburn hair that looked soft as the surface of water. Her eyes. Her body. “Me and you!? Are dating!?”
“No, we’re all dating,” Casey explained, gesturing between the three of you. “Me and you and Alex.”
You glanced at Alex to confirm and she nodded, smiling cheekily.
Your jaw dropped as you took in this new information. You put a hand on your head as if this was all just too much for you. And, in your current state, it kind of was.
“Me!?” you asked, glancing between them. “You’re… both of you!?”
They nodded, grinning and trying not to laugh.
“Holy shit,” you said, spurring another fit of laughter from the chairs next to your bed. “This is crazy!”
You sat and thought for a few minutes, mouth gaping.
“You alright, love?” Alex asked, running her thumb back and forth across your wrist.
You leaned toward them, as if to share a secret, then gasped sharply at the pain.
“Ow!”
“Jesus, Y/N! Lay back!” Casey complained, trying to sound stern but really just sounding worried. She stood and gently shoved your body back down into the pillows. “I think we broke her brain, Alex.”
“Psst!” you hissed at them, your impaired brain feeling inexplicably salty about being left out of their conversation.
“What, you dork!?” Casey exclaimed.
You squinted conspiratorially at them. “Do we… you know?...”
Casey and Alex swiveled their heads to look at each other, then collectively burst out laughing again.
“Oh, yeah,” Casey assured you.
“We sure do,” Alex added.
“All three!?”
They nodded at you, still chuckling.
“Wow. Jesus fucking Christ. Am I dreaming right now!?”
“Believe it or not, no,” Casey said, watching as your eyes fluttered between open and shut. You needed to sleep. She could tell.
She ran her thumb across your eyebrows and down the bridge of your nose, back and forth, back and forth. A surefire way to put you to sleep. Alex and Casey knew all your tricks.
You exhaled deeply, trying so hard to keep your eyes open.
“Go to sleep, baby,” Casey whispered lovingly. “When you wake up you’ll remember.”
You mumbled as you drifted between sleeping and waking. “I’m not tired. I can’t be tired, I have two girlfriends to take care of.”
Alex and Casey smiled at one another. Alex stood and wrapped her arms around Casey’s waist, planting a kiss on her cheek as they watched you fall asleep.
“Two girlfriends,” you continued, your words losing volume and speed. “The nicest, smartest, prettiest girlfriends. So pretty. So many boobs.”
“God, I wish we’d recorded this,” Casey whispered, placing a soft kiss on your cheek before leaning back in her chair.
Alex dropped her phone onto Casey’s lap, the screen showing an active voice recording.
Casey fist-pumped silently, pulling Alex down by the collar for a quick kiss.
“I love you,” Casey said, unlocking Alex’s phone to send herself the recording.
“I love you, too,” Alex chuckled. She foraged in her bag by the door before pulling her chair close to you, propping up a book with one hand and holding yours with the other. “I love our girl, Case.”
“She’s something else, isn’t she?” Casey observed, smiling softly and shaking her head at your drugged, sleeping form. “How’d we get so lucky?”
“Pure, dumb luck,” Alex decided, flipping a page and absentmindedly rubbing the back of your hand.
Casey stood and stretched, then slumped onto the sorry excuse for a couch in the corner of the room, kicking off her shoes.
“I’m exhausted,” she groaned, pulling off one sock and then the other. “It’s a good thing we weren’t both out of town this weekend. I was up all night with her before she finally agreed to go to the hospital. Stubborn asshole.”
“Reminds me of someone else I know.”
“Shut up, Alex,” Casey protested, grinning, before throwing a sock at her.
“Why don’t you sleep?” Alex suggested, ignoring the sock on the floor next to her. “Get some rest, honey. I’ll wake you when she’s up again.”
Casey nodded and folded her arms over her chest, letting herself drift off, snoring softly as she always did and always swore she didn’t.
Alex set down her book and looked at her two sleepy girls, knowing there wasn’t a thing in the world she wouldn’t do for you and Casey.
“So fucking lucky,” she whispered, drawing your hand to her lips to kiss your knuckles.

You Go Too Fast For Me ~Dom!Rough!Alex Cabot xFem Sub!Lover!Reader
Summary— Alex comes back to Reader after a hard and long day in court. She immediately pounces on Reader to destress, but Reader can’t handle that intensity right now…
Mommy… Master List
Requests & Prompt-List
Warnings: NSFW, 18+!!!, smut, angst, little fluff at the end, kissing, strap fucking, rough sex, overstimulation, degradation, dom/sub relations, crying, comforting, eventual aftercare, eventual happy ending, etc.
Enjoy (;
The sound of skin slapping and of panting breaths filled the room. Alex was holding you on your knees by your hair and hip, as she pile drived into you from behind with her double ended strap.
She was going fast. She had wasted no time when you had come over, having stripped you and put you on all fours within minutes, saying something about work being long. She was fucking you hard. Alex pulled your hair tighter as she came closer to her climax. You squeezed your eyes shut tight. She was fucking you rough from behind, whispering the most degrading dirty talk in your ear.
You were gonna cum. So was she.
You both came Alex first, then you, before she pulled out of you and you both collapsed on the bed next to each other. Alex muttered a thank you before swiftly getting up and getting dressed again.
But you stayed in bed. You were sore. And the second she had pulled out of you, a wave of heavy sadness had hit you like a brick. Alex left the room to her closet to put her dirty clothes away and grab new ones.
A tear accidentally escaped down your cheeks. Your lips began to trembled. You couldn’t hold it in anymore. You sat up on the side of the bed and quickly wiped away the tears, trying to stifle the tsunami of emotions crashing into you. You then got up, with wobbly and sore legs, and went to pick up all your clothes. Alex came back into the bedroom as you were quickly and desperately getting dressed.
“Hey. Where are you going?” She asked, finishing putting her shirt on.
You looked away immediately, trying to rid your face of any evidence of sadness, while continuing to rush to dress.
“Gotta go…” you mumbled in no particular direction.
Alex’s stomache dropped. Something was wrong and she could feel it. The blonde came up to you, placing a hand on your back shoulder. You jumped at the contact, and that told Alex that her instincts were right.
“Hey. Hey, sweetheart… Talk to me, please…” Alex spoke gently.
You finally looked at the woman. Your lip started to tremble and your eyes were glossy. And then your legs gave out on you, being too sore and wobbly from your previous activities to handle such weight. Alex swiftly caught you with concern washed all over her face. She picked you up and placed you on the edge of the bed, sitting next to you. Your tears started to flow freely and you choked on your own air.
“What is it…?” Alex pled softly.
You sniffled, wiping your tears away once more.
“I… dunno— too much…” you chocked out in gasps.
“Oh Sweetheart… I’m sorry…” Alex sighed in concern, “Can I… Would it be alright if I touch you…?” She gently asked.
You nodded slowly, before feeling the woman’s hand on your back, comforting you with circular motions. Seeing you like this made Alex clench in anxiety and her head swim with guilt.
“Was I too rough…? Was the strap too big…?” Alex concerningly urged you to speak up.
You gulped, your breathing was still shallow and gasping.
“Mm hurts a little…” you whispered in confession, looking down in embarrassment.
Alex then grabbed your chin and directed your gaze to hers. Her own eyes were glossy now.
“Hey. Listen to me. This is not your fault. It’s mine. I am truly sorry, Y/N. I should have asked before I was so rough and degrading… before I used a new, bigger toy…” Alex apologized, as a tear rolled down her cheek.
You shook your head as the tears continued to fall.
“No no…it’s okay—” you stammered, before Alex interrupted you.
“No, sweetheart, it’s not. Not only did I come in and just use you for sex, but afterwards I just got up to get dressed… I didn’t… I didn’t check in or take care of you… Fuck Y/N I am so sorry, and I understand if you want to leave…” Alex breathed out.
You shook your head again.
“Don’t wanna leave…” you breathed out.
At this, Alex smiled lightly. And she nodded in response.
“Alright sweetheart, well how about a bath…?” Alex gently said, “Then maybe we can talk about some food…?”
You were starting to feel a little better now, although you were still sore. You pulled Alex’s hand into your lap and squeezed them in reassurance.
“Yes please…” you said, and Alex nodded, promptly picking you up and carrying you into the bathroom.
Once the tub was filled and you were in it, you reached for Alex’s hand.
“Join me…?” You whispered.
Alex’s face lit up even more and she nodded happily, taking her clothes off and getting into the warm water. You instinctually cuddled up into her frame and let out a deep sigh, finally feeling some relief.
“Thank you, Lex…” you whispered.
“Of course. I’m so sorry…” Alex said, sounding like a broken record.
“Is okay, Lex really…” you hummed.
“No it’s not…” she choked out.
You looked around to find Alex now in tears. Your face washed over in concern in guilt.
“No no no, Lexie it’s okay” you scrambled to calm the blonde.
“But… I took advantage of you…” Alex stammered.
“It was a mistake, you didn’t mean it—” you said in gentle comfort.
“But H-how could you ever forgive m-me…?” She choked out.
You brought your free hand up to caress Alex’s cheek. Your galley eyes meeting her teary ones.
“Alex, baby, listen to me. It is okay. If anything, it’s my fault for not saying anything. And it’s not like I didn’t enjoy it, it just… it was a little too much to handle, that’s all…” you reassured her.
Another tear escaped Alex’s eye, which you caught and wiped away lovingly. The blonde smiled lightly and nodded.
“Thank you, sweetheart…” Alex sighed, “I love you”
“Love you too.” You whispered, pressing your lips against Alex’s lightly and for a moment, before you both pulled away with sighs of content.

"Longer Than A Fortnight"
| SVU & Headcanons
Synopsis — Their love languages towards you, and the kind they want to receive.
Note — Olivia Benson, Elliot Stabler, Alexandra Cabot, Casey Novak
(Female centered, but no pronouns used.)
———————————————————————
!!
Olivia Benson
• — Olivia Benson is 100% acts of service.
• — She is the kind of lover that will tie your shoelaces, even if she’s running late.
• — WILL AND I MEAN WILL, do the simplest tasks for you just because she can!
• — "What you do mean you went out to get groceries? Without me?"
• — Her way of saying "I love you." is to comb your hair after you finished showering, and she asks you to sit on her lap as she does. (biting my fists rn)
• — Though, she craves for words of affirmation.
• — She didn’t grow up in a home where she felt appreciated, nor did she ever felt the comfort of her parents.
• — But she knew she loved you when you told her the sweetest sentence ever.
• — "I love you so much that you make me get out of bed to get groceries."
• — Seconds later, you felt arms behind you. Not long enough before your shoulder dampens.
Elliot Stabler
• — This man is so quality time.
• — He knows he has a dangerous job that occupies his time, hours and hours in the precinct.
• — But any chance he gets, he will come home to you.
• — "Pack your bags, we’re going to Italy!"
• — He’s afraid of losing you, or letting you go to the plane’s bathroom because you’re comfortable in his arms.
• — Amidst the turbulence, he enjoys your physical touch.
• — From all the abuse and torment he witnessed, it’s rare for him to feel safe nowadays.
• — That’s why he isn’t afraid to admit that he loves the way you kiss his forehead, trace patterns on his gentle calloused hands, or spooning him when he gets nightmares.
• — "Italy won’t run away, let’s just stay 5 more minutes in bed."
• — More so, your vanilla scented hair was his view of a vacation.
Alexandra Cabot
• — Shoot me when I say this blonde’s love language isn’t giving gifts.
• — Being a lawyer with an amazing conviction rate also means having money, money, money!
• — She enjoys spoiling you, giving you everything you need and want just because she can. She refuses to let you reach for your wallet, at all.
• — "I bought the necklace you stared at earlier!"
• — Besides your lips, Ms. Cabot also tracks your eyes. (i would like to have you for christmas)
• — Staring at you, she never noticed how much she longed for acts of service.
• — Her parents were always away, and she was left alone. Her parents’ money were their way of saying they’re sorry they couldn’t come to her graduation.
• — She was surprised when you called in sick, even though she was the one coughing like there’s no tomorrow.
• — "What do you mean I could’ve bought myself medicine instead of your necklace?"
• — You can’t help but smile as you sat beside her laying body, wiping her warm face with a wet cloth as she explains how much your necklace reminds her of your eyes.
Casey Novak
• — This redheaded loser in a hot body cannot go on a day without physical touch.
• — She was raised as an affectionate child, expressing her love greatly as her parents did.
• — Her auburn hair is as warm as her as you lay between her arms, her face on the crook of your neck as she sleeps soundly.
• — "If only court saw how soft and adorable you are when you sleep, you wouldn’t seem so intimidating." You say, playing with her hair.
• — Smiling lovingly, she unconsciously pulls you closer.
• — Aside from her comfort, she adores your words of affirmation.
• — She was the kid who would wait in her teachers’ approval, hoping that she did good enough for their expectations.
• — Luckily for her, she didn’t have to wait anymore.
• — "You think I look soft and adorable when I sleep? I think I want to kiss you right now."
• — And she did, like the soft and adorable loser she is.

Enter The Night
Olivia Benson x Fem!Reader (tho r isn't described with any pronouns)
warnings: implied assault/rape (up to interpretation), typical SVU themes, poorly written fluff, not proofread
word count: ~1314 (longest one on my page so far yippie!!)
a/n: i love writing for my svu girls! there's definitely not enough fics of any of them, and my requests are open for them all :)
Olivia is jolted away by the sound of her phone ringing. she rubs her eyes as she groans, looking at the alarm clock on her nightstand.
2:43 am.
she sighs as she grabs her phone, her eyes straining at the brightness as she turns it on. the call had already ended, but she decided to check to see if it was important or not.
she frowns when she notices you’ve called more than once. she quickly clicks the ‘call back’ button, pulling the phone up to her ear as she adjusts her position in her bed.
she has an unsettling feeling forming in her chest as the phone continues to ring. finally you pick up the phone.
“y/n?” Olivia’s voice crackles through the phone.
the glass from your shattered phone stabs through your hand as you grip it tightly, pressing it against your face. you breathe heavily, unable to form any words as you can feel yourself slipping out of consciousness.
“hello? y/n?” Olivia repeats your name, worry filling her at the sound of your labored breathing. “can you tell me where you are, honey?”
suddenly the line goes dead, a sharp ‘beep’ can be heard on both sides.
“y/n?” Olivia says panicked as she tears the phone from her ear, she quickly tries to call you again, pulling her phone away to stare at it when it goes straight to voicemail.
the brunette swiftly pulls herself from her bed, hurriedly putting shoes on and grabbing her keys as she attempts to call you again. she rushes out the door of her apartment, not even bothering to change from her sleepwear.
the entire car ride is full of dread and worry, she had a quick phone call with Fin while in the car. she needed to make sure that someone knew where she was going, in case something goes down or she needs back up.
she sloppily parks in front of your apartment building, quickly rushing out of the car and into the building. she practically runs up to your apartment.
Olivia can feel her heart drop into her stomach as she nears your door, noticing it’s open.
“y/n?” she calls, pushing the door open. “oh my god.” she stands in the doorway in a state of sudden shock, everything was destroyed. there were spilled flowers on the ground by the entrance, couch cushions thrown off the couch, picture frames and trinkets spread over the floor by the kitchen island.
she continues into your apartment, taking notice of the shattered glass and blood on the kitchen floor. she freezes again when she hears the sound of heavy breathing. the brunette walks slowly towards the sound.
“oh my god, y/n!” Olivia breathes as your barely conscious body comes into view.
you were laying on your kitchen floor, slouched over against the cabinets, your body cut and bruised, your shirt is missing and your pajama shorts are ripped.
Olivia rushes over to you, dropping onto her knees to cup your cheeks, “hey- hey open your eyes for me.” she says, her voice uncharacteristically shaky.
you open your eyes ever so slightly, attempting to focus on the brunette woman in front of you.
“’livia..” you mumble, your voice raspy and you're quickly thrown into a coughing fit, blood flying from your mouth.
Olivia takes a sharp intake of breath, “i’m going to get help, okay? you’ll be okay.” she mumbles, whipping her phone from her coat pocket, calling Fin to tell him she needs paramedics at your apartment. as she’s speaking on the phone she peels her coat off of herself, wrapping it around your body in an attempt to cover up your near bare body.
she sets her phone down as the call ends. “help is on the way.. can you tell me what happened, sweetheart?” Olivia whispers as she strokes your hair gently, glancing towards the window to see if she could see the lights of the ambulance approaching.
you look up at her with tear filled eyes, “she got me, ‘livia.. she got me.” you whisper, your voice cracking as the tears begin streaming down your cheeks.
Olivia didn’t need to ask to know who you were talking about, she knows it’s Max, your ex girlfriend. since the time she began getting close to you, she had always promised to protect you from your abusive ex girlfriend.
the brunette’s eyes search over your face, “we’ll get her.. okay? what did she do to you?” you drop your head back onto the cabinet, your eyes closing slowly, “hey- hey no, keep your eyes open, honey.”
you force your eyes open, trying, and failing, to focus on Olivia, “’m sleepy..” i mumble, my eyes drooping again.
“come on, y/n, stay awake for me..” her voice is panicked as she pats your cheek, you drift into unconsciousness.
Olivia stands up as she hears footsteps approaching, hearing the sound of the ambulance sirens outside of the building. the brunette rushes towards the ajar front door, stepping out to wave the paramedics into the apartment and showing them where you lay on the floor.
the next few hours are excruciating for Olivia, you had to get surgery in order to remove the shattered vase pieces from your back, and you’re now laying unconscious in your hospital bed.
Olivia is seated next to the head of the bed, no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t fall back asleep, she needed you to be okay.
“liv?” you mumble, your voice hoarse for a number of reasons. your head is pressed against the bed as you squint your eyes over at the older woman sitting beside you.
your sudden voice causes her to jump slightly, her eyes shooting from the book she was reading to you. “y/n.” she breathes as she stands up, leaving the book on the chair as she leans over you.
you grin up at her, “hey, ‘livia.”
“hi,” she whispers, running her fingers through your bangs as she stares down at you. “how're you feeling?”
you hum, shrugging your shoulders but the movement makes you wince, “i dunno.. did you get her?” as soon as the brunette frowns you know, she's still out there.
the room goes silent all except for the buzz of the lights and the slow beeping of the heart monitor.
“thank you.” it comes out as a whisper, but it confuses her nonetheless.
she scrunches her eyebrows in confusion as her eyes meet yours once more. “for what?”
it's silent for a moment before you respond, “for answering my call.. i suppose.” you gaze up at her.
a smile tugs at the brunette's lips, “i'll always answer when you call me.” she says gently “no matter the time, or the day, or how i feel..”
you giggle, “even if you hate me?”
her smile falls, but only slightly, “oh, y/n.. i could never hate you.” she whispers, her hand cupping your cheek.
you can feel your cheeks heat up slightly, “oh.” you meet her eyes again before your gaze drops to her lips. slowly you lean in before eventually you're pressing your lips to hers in a tender kiss.
once you realize what you’ve done you pull away, eyes wide.
it’s silent.
your eyes begin filling with tears, “liv-” before you can say anything, Olivia leans in, kissing you. you quickly reciprocate the kiss. when you both pull away she is smiling at you, her eyes soft and her feelings towards you are evident in them.
“i’ve wanted to do that for a while..” she whispers, her thumb gently rubbing your cheek bone.
“yeah?” you chuckle, the tears that were in your eyes had now run down your cheeks, being quickly rubbed away by the brunette.
“mhmm,” Olivia hums, a loving smile on her face as she holds the gentle eye contact with you.

It's the typical sunday evening, you're busy typing in your laptop to go over your lessons over and over again, making sure you didn't miss anything. As a professor, you were quite used to staying up late to finish everything. It was a great excuse, really. You can always finish your work during the day, but still chose to do it during night time as an excuse to stay up, especially when you're over at your girlfriend's apartment. It took some time for you to adjust, as you weren't really a night owl. It all started when you caught alex outside your shared bedroom, sitting on the couch watching your favorite show. She was just staring blankly, which worried you. She didn't even realize your lingering gaze behind her, it was only when you wrapped your arms around her waist did she snap out of her trance and slightly jumped from the sudden contact. Immediately deflating in your arms once she realized it was only you, her exhaustion evident in her eyes. She closed her eyes when your lips touched her forehead, then to her cheek, down to her neck. Smothering her with kisses, which made her let out a soft sigh, cherishing this moment.
“Would you mind telling me why you're still up?” you spoke in a gentle tone, one that alex has grown used to. Ones that she craved during her vulnerable moments, your gentleness. A contrast to the harsh events happening in her life, constantly haunting her for as long as she can remember.
Of course you knew something was wrong, alex was more quiet than usual. You also noticed her being tense earlier this morning before leaving for work, her hands behind her neck. A habit of hers whenever she's troubled, poor baby.
“I can't sleep” she quietly replied, her eyes looked glassy. It was the first time you saw her in her vulnerable state, and your first instinct was to wrap her in a warm embrace.
“Something bothering you, hmm?” you took off her glasses, then tied her hair up in a messy bun. Taking advantage of her current relaxed demeanor, you pressed another kiss to her cheeks. Glancing at the table, you noticed some pills scattered from an open bottle. Melatonin.
Alex glanced at where you were looking, and letting out a long exhausted sigh, curling into a small ball inside your arms. How couldn't you have noticed? You blamed yourself for being so blind, it doesn't take a genius to know that those pills are her medication for insomnia. Alex was suffering from insomnia, despite having learned medicine from your mother, you didn't notice Alex's situation and how bad it has gotten. That even until now, you still felt guilty that there's only so much you could do in your power to make her feel better. Long story short, everytime you visited alex, you always made sure to stay up with her.
At first, even when you forced yourself to stay up, you always end up falling asleep in her arms. It was the other way round, alex couldn't help but find your efforts adorable that even when she disliked the idea of you going to an extent of staying up, even though you loved to sleep, it was nice to know that you cared enough to make efforts for her. No matter how many times she refused, you were persistent.
Your visits happened more often, especially when you knew Alex just got back from the court. You always brought groceries, and she always cooks for you. It's been months of continuing this routine, nothing changed much except for the fact that alex doesn't feel alone anymore. Sure, she was still insomniac but having you by her side eased her up. You had always expressed how grateful you were that alex is your girlfriend, unbeknownst to you, you were the best thing that happened to her. She didn't know what she did to deserve you, nor did she know what you see in her.
Back to present, as you were typing in your laptop, you felt the bed sink a little. You turned your head to face your girlfriend, smiling softly, noticing her drowsy state. She was wearing the silly fuzzy matching pajama that you bought for you and her, at first she called it silly, but now it's one of her favorite things to wear to sleep.
“Are you done with your tea?” you asked, absentmindedly pulling her in your arms. You closed your laptop, putting it on top of the bedside table.
“Yes” she paused, then continued. “Are you done with your work?”
“Mhmm.” you chuckled, what alex didn't realize was that her words were starting to become incoherent the more she spoke. Her drowsiness making it hard for her to realize her current state.
“Can we sleep now?” alex hummed, pulling away from your grasp as she watched as you frowned from the sudden change of heart. Alex shook her head, smiling at your antics as she pulled you back in for a hug, this time, she was the big spoon.
“Please.” that was the last thing you said as you both drifted off to sleep, the warm blanket wrapped around your warm bodies, glued together. A perfect way to end the day.

Late Nights
Calex x Daughter!Reader
Summary: You and Alex have trouble getting to sleep so the two of you play games while you let Casey rest.
———
The apartment was quiet except for the occasional hum of the refrigerator and the distant sounds of New York City nightlife filtering through the closed windows. The soft glow of a lamp on the side table cast shadows around the living room, creating a cozy, dimly lit, environment.
Alex sat on the couch, her eyes heavy with fatigue but her mind refusing to let her rest. Insomnia had become an unwelcome but not unfamiliar companion, making the nights feel endless. She glanced at the clock on the wall—it was nearing 2 AM. Beside her, you were sitting restlessly. You were going through a sleep regression, waking up multiple times each night and demanding attention. It was exhausting for both Alex and Casey, but Alex insisted on letting her wife sleep.
Casey had been through a particularly gruelling week at work with back-to-back cases, uncooperative witnesses, endless paperwork and very many court sessions demanding every ounce of her energy and focus and Alex knew she needed her rest. She had promised herself that she would let Casey sleep through the night, even if it meant staying up and keeping you entertained. It’s not like she could sleep anyway.
You squirmed on the couch, your tiny fingers clutching your favourite stuffed duck. "Mummy, want Mama," you whispered, your voice plaintive.
Alex smoothed back your soft hair and kissed your forehead. "Mama needs to sleep, sweetheart. She's had a tough week. How about we play a quiet game instead?"
You pouted but nodded, your tired eyes shimmering with curiosity. Alex reached for a stack of picture cards she kept nearby for such moments. They were simple, colourful illustrations of animals, objects, and scenes designed to capture a toddler's attention.
"Okay, Y/N, let's play 'Find the Animal.' I'll describe an animal, and you have to find the right card. Ready?" Alex explained.
Your eyes lit up, and you sat up straighter. "Ready!"
"Alright," Alex said, suppressing a yawn. "This animal has a long neck and eats leaves from tall trees. Can you find it?"
Your face scrunched in concentration as you sifted through the cards. "Giraffe!" you exclaimed, holding up the correct card.
"That's right! Good job!" Alex praised in a whisper, feeling a small burst of pride despite her exhaustion.
The both of you continued the game, your giggles and excited answers filling the quiet room. As the minutes ticked by, Alex found herself smiling more and worrying less about the late hour. This moment, despite the fatigue and the challenges, felt precious.
Eventually, your energy began to wane, your movements slower and your eyelids drooping. Alex gently guided you to lie down on the couch, covering you with a soft baby blanket. She sang a lullaby in a hushed tone, hoping to lull you into sleep.
But you were not ready to give up just yet. "Mummy, want Mama," you murmured again, reaching out with your tiny hand.
Alex took your hand in hers, holding it gently. "I know, my love. Mama will be here in the morning. How about we count the stars on the ceiling? That can be our game until you fall asleep."
You nodded, your eyes already half-closed. Alex gently lifted you to rest on her chest and began to count in a soothing voice, pointing to the glow-in-the-dark stars they had stuck on the ceiling months ago. Slowly but surely, your breathing evened out, and you drifted off to sleep.
Alex sighed in relief, her own eyelids feeling unbearably heavy. She leaned back on the couch, intending to stay awake a little longer to make sure you were truly asleep. But the warmth of your little body on her chest and the soft hum of the TV lulled her into a deep, much-needed sleep.
———
When Casey emerged from the bedroom the next morning, she was greeted by the sight of you and Alex curled up together on the couch, both sound asleep. She smiled tenderly, her heart swelling with love and gratitude.
Quietly, Casey walked over and draped a blanket over Alex, who stirred slightly but didn’t wake. She kissed the both of you on the forehead before walking into the kitchen to start breakfast, feeling more refreshed and awake than she had in days.
As the smell of coffee filled the air, Alex's eyes fluttered open. She looked around, momentarily disoriented, before her gaze settled on Casey bustling in the kitchen. You were still asleep on her chest, clutching your stuffed duck.
"Morning," Alex whispered, careful not to wake you.
"Morning," Casey replied, leaning down to kiss Alex's forehead again. "You should go back to sleep. I've got Y/N."
Alex shook her head, stifling a yawn. "It's okay. I'm already up." She carefully disentangled herself from you, which earned her a quiet, sleepy whimper.
Casey nodded, giving her a soft smile. "How did it go last night?"
Alex stretched, feeling the remnants of fatigue in her muscles but also a sense of accomplishment. "We managed. Y/N/N had a hard time settling, but we played some games, and she eventually fell asleep."
Casey walked over with a cup of coffee, handing it to Alex. "Thank you for letting me sleep. I know it hasn't been easy."
Alex took a grateful sip of the coffee, savouring the warmth. "You're welcome. You needed the rest. Besides, it wasn’t like I could fall asleep anyway."
You suddenly stirred, your eyes fluttering open. You looked up at Alex, then over at Casey, a sleepy smile spreading across your face. "Mama!"
Casey scooped you into her arms, showering you with kisses. "Good morning, baby. Did you have fun with Mummy last night?"
You nodded, still half-asleep. "We play 'Find the Animal' and counted stars."
Casey looked over at Alex, her eyes filled with love before she looked back down at you. "Wow! That sounds like so much fun."
As the three of you sat together, enjoying the quiet morning and each other's company, the tiredness of the night before disappeared.

Weekend in the Hamptons - Alex Cabot/Female Reader
Alex Cabot/Female Reader
Summary: A family weekend brings good surprises for Y/N, for Alex too. Or, Y/N finally meets Alexander Cabot.
Classification: Fluff
Warnings: Reference to past depression
Word count: +3700
Meeting the parents of your loved one is an important event, especially when you are in a queer relationship, which is exactly why Y/N feels nervous as her long-time girlfriend drives down the beautiful tree-lined road on a late Friday afternoon. The sun among the leaves hitting her pale face, reflecting off the dark glasses and leaving cheeks flushed. Growing up in New York, specifically in Manhattan, Alex never required or felt the need to get a driver's license, but recently the idea of taking the other woman to places or just strolling together beyond the city encouraged her. So she obtained one and is now driving for the first time beyond the block from their apartment.
"You seem nervous." she comments as she turns the steering wheel right "My dad isn't a seven-headed monster, I swear, he changed a little after mom died. Just a little… stiff… eccentric? He'll love you."
"I'm not so sure about that." Y/N whispers and tries not to stare at her, admiring the scenery around "Will Mr. Cabot like the mint liqueur?"
"It's his favorite, don't worry." they stare at each other and the blonde smiles "We're coming soon, take a deep breath and everything will be fine."
"Alex…"
"Sweetheart, the fact that I love you will already make him love you too."
In a few minutes the car parks in front of a two-story house, tall and cozy looking, there are large windows, white details framing the structure and a beautiful well kept garden, trees surrounding it. It's a pleasant, but intimidating sight. The Cabot family is wealthy by heritage and work, they are judges, lawyers, businessmen, deans and even art curators coming from a cradle with renown, raised for greatness. It was no surprise to Y/N when her girlfriend told her that they had a house at the address synonymous of money, but that Alexander Harrison Cabot himself invited and insisted on having Y/N, a simple paralegal, to spend a family weekend in Hamptons. This was a great surprise.
"You are amazing and kind…" Alex turns off the car and begins talking to her girlfriend, joining their hands together as they look at each other tenderly.
"Ah!" both shout in fright as a bang on the passenger side window disrupts the moment, Y/N turns around to find a gray haired, unshaven and blue eyed gentleman staring at her through the glass, hands above his forehead shielding him from the sun, wearing a blue striped polo shirt (similar to those bowling ones) and white shorts, full of pockets. Not the sight she expected, none of them to be honest. The younger nods and tries to smile "Honey, he doesn't look anything like you described." she manages to say between an awkward smile.
"Believe me, I am equally surprised as you are."
When they get out of the car they soon find themselves being hugged by him a triple hug, it's warm and friendly, he even messes up his daughter-in-law's hair nonchalantly. The ADA stares at the scene not understanding anything, her dad, even in the heat, would dress more formally like a light social t-shirt and not so flashy shorts, suddenly he has turned into her grandfather who spent afternoons fishing. And Alexander had never been so receptive with someone, even she had never been hugged like that before.
"I am Alexander, it's a pleasure to meet you, beautiful lady. And you, I bet, must be Y/N?!" he grabs her hand and brings to his lips in an unexpected courteous gesture "My daughter told me a lot about you. Welcome!"
"Thank you, Mr. Cabot! Very kind of you…"
"No no no no, just call me Alexander." he winks and turns to Alex "My girl, even at that age you still are the little girl I taught to sail. Y/N, did you know that? She couldn't drive, but she learned to sail at 9 years old. Which brings me the surprise of seeing her behind the wheel of a car."
The man bombarded them with questions and little facts, animatedly pouring out word for word right there in the parking lot. Excited to meet the woman who conquered and entered his daughter's closed heart, he had waited so long for this moment, knowing about her existence gave him a glimmer of hope after all that had happened in the past few years. The death of his beloved Madeleine months after their only child was supposedly murdered, then her return was the breath of fresh air that brought him back to life and brought him out of the depression he had been sinking into for over a year. When Alex, who usually doesn't make first contact, called and said there was something important to say he didn't care that the person she loved was a woman, that she wasn't of the same social status and even less that she was younger. It's his daughter's person and that's what matters to him, that this person makes her happy, feel loved and appreciated.
"Come, come in." Alexander signs with hands for them to come in through the front door "I've prepared a dinner, I hope you like chicken." he says to the girl as she walks through the door, followed by her girlfriend "Your grandmother's recipe." and cheerfully completes for her "I'll get the suitcases."
"No need, daddy. I got it." the two begin to argue at the front door about who will get the suitcases in the trunk of the car, so Y/N realizes that stubbornness runs in the family, after three long minutes of debating they come to the conclusion that they each bring a suitcase "I'll get the one belonging to my woman." she says grabbing the bigger suitcase.
"Of course!" he closes the compartment and smiles surprised to hear his daughter call her partner like that, she, who always was closed off, would never refer to someone in that way unless she really loved her "She's lovely and kind, you two are great together."
"Yes, she is."
The three are gathered around the round dining table, the glass door behind them open bringing a draft of cold air and the beautiful view of the garden with a large pool. The sun is setting a little later than usual, taking a while to get dark. The glass bowls are in the center, it's a vast menu of salads, meat and some desserts, the man has made everything to be sure it pleases the girl.
"I have a lasagna in the oven if you prefer." he says cutting a piece of chicken breast and placing it on her empty plate "But first try this one, it's my mom's recipe, Mary Cabot. Alex's middle name came from her, so we named her Alexandra Marie."
"It's a classic name."
"Of course, that's why my wife loved it, I wanted to named her Leigh or Claire, but my favorite choice was Margot. You know, women boss, when we thought we would have a boy wanted to call him Alexander II, but then a nice surprise came and Madeleine wished to keep it for her." he puts his hand on the daughter's shoulder fondly remembering her birth and the little battle to choose a name for her, eventually honoring him and her grandmother at the same time "She was the longest baby in the maternity room that day, the chubbiest too."
"Daddy, don't embarrass me like that." she puts a hand to face and blushes, trying not to face her girlfriend laughing at the conversation "And when did you learn to cook? Where is Helen?" the absence of the family housekeeper who always accompanies them is strange.
"She retired, end of last year. Just like me, that's why I learned to cook, I wanted to do new things. I learned to cook, I learned to skate, bought new clothes, even read the Harry Potter books. And I'm learning carpentry, look near the pool."
Alex narrows her eyes and Y/N lifts the neck curiously, trying to find whatever it was where he points with a finger, there is a small pile of cut dark wood, tools and what looks like add-ons for the thing.
"What is that?" the blonde asks confused and sips the wine, having no idea what it could be.
"A playground!" he announces happily and as if it was obvious to guess.
"WHAT?" she almost screams spitting the wine on the white tablecloth unintentionally "Why? There have been no children in our family for years."
"My future grandchildren." now it's Y/N's turn to spit out the wine "Apparently you aren't planning that yet…. Or are you?" they stare at him in disbelief "I mean, you already have 40, my daughter. I'm not pressuring you, it's just… the last few days I've caught myself imagining some kids running around the garden. Spending weekends as a family, maybe me teaching them to sail too, I just…"
"It's okay, Mr- Alexander!" the younger smiles trying to reassure him "Well, Alex and I haven't planned anything concrete about, but don't worry. It looks like a great creation."
"I'm improving my skills, but Edward and Patrick from the club will come and help me finish."
"My children are not going to play on a playground set up by those two, they always have their shoes switched every time I see them." Alex argues.
"It's their cataracts, but they are great at carpentry, even made a bird box."
"What if they nail their own hands? Or leave a nail loose and my children end up getting hurt?"
The third person in the room just stared at them while they started another debate, so she understood from whom Alex inherited many characteristics and qualities she possesses, which make her an outstanding lawyer. Both are good with words, stubborn and know how to contest like no one else, even a completely hypothetical situation that would be her children and his grandchildren. Y/N was amused as she finished eating the meal, trying a little of each thing until she realized she had eaten too much.
"Okay, I'll hire a professional carpenter to help me…" the man begins to dictate what was agreed between them.
"And you have to set it up away from the pool, maybe near that tree."
"Perfect! Which gives me the idea of a swing and maybe a tree house, with a slide." he adds.
"Too high for a slide, actually too high for a tree house."
"I can build lower." then the two reach a middle ground and smile, shaking hands to close agreement "Always good to deal with you Cabot."
"I say the same, Cabot." the blonde turns to continue eating only to realize how entertained she has become in this hypothetical debate that her girlfriend is already eating the dessert "It happened again. Oops."
"You mean this is common?" the younger asks confused.
"Yes!" they answer in unison "Since I was a kid, dad was my first worthy opponent."
"That's cute." she comments without thinking, eyes full of sweetness staring at both father and daughter, admiring the relationship.
"You didn't think we are… weird?" Alex asks incredulously.
"Or eccentric?" he looks even more incredulous.
"Or nerdy?"
"Nothing like that, just cute." she shrugs and takes another spoonful of ice cream.
The evening was quiet, no more debates beyond the playground for hypothetical children. After dinner Alexander led them to a guest room on the second floor, Alex's old room from her childhood travels and now completely renovated, looking larger than she remembered. It had been decorated in white, birch and shades of light blue. It's decorated with marine items like ships in glass bottles, seashells, sculptures of sea animals and paintings of beach landscapes. Hanging above the bed had been placed a framed picture of a hand painting of the Cabot family sailboat, named Arabella. The ADA pretended not to be surprised or delighted by what he had done, but once her father closed the door wishing them a good night she ran to the bookcase to get the seashells, recognizing them as those she had collected during the course of her life, which she had picked up on trips with her parents. It was one of the few moments when she could be just Alex or Lexie, as her mom affectionately called her, walking down the sandy lane hand in hand with both of them, looking for little colorful things together, this is how she became a collector of seashells, at least until age 15 when the memories of a more tender childhood gave way to thick books and piles of certificates. Alexander kept them all, even when she said he could throw them away. When she realized she was being watched coughed falsely and left the decorations in place, turning to girlfriend, kissing her affectionately.
"I told you he would love you."
Saturday is sunny, the heat hits the clear room and reaches Alex's naked back, the burning bothering the sensitive skin making her fully awake. The woman grumbles and extends her arm across the other side of the bed, only to find the sheets bare and smooth. She uses her elbows to sit up in bed and searches Y/N around the room, but there is no sign of her presence, the house is also silent. When she looks at the alarm clock on the bedside she is startled by the time, never on a normal day would she allow herself to wake up 1pm, she hasn't slept this late or this much in years. The night before she went to bed right after dinner, exhausted from working all day at the courthouse advancing paperwork and still driven, a short trip that knocked her out. The ADA gets up quickly, rushing to shower and get dressed for the day, opting for an unprinted white t-shirt, jeans and a comfortable slipper.
"Hey, where were you two?" Alex asks as she sees her dad and girlfriend walking through the garden door, she seems to laugh at something the man said.
"Your dad took me to lunch, we didn't want to wake you up. You looked so tired." Y/N approaches and deposits a kiss on the blonde's temple "Good morning, honey!"
"Good morning, sweetheart!" she murmurs and is about to kiss her on the lips as they do every morning when she remembers being in her dad's presence, then pulls away and blushes.
"You can kiss your woman, Alex." Alexander laughs and leaves some bags on the table "We brought you something to eat, we also got you your favorite ice cream."
"What time did you wake up?"
"Early, had coffee and went shopping, ended up at that restaurant you love." he reports cheerfully "Your girlfriend is great company."
"You are two traitors." she laughs and pulls Y/N to herself, making her sit on the lap "What are the plans for today?"
"We can go to the beach, maybe have dinner somewhere or go to Ed's house, the guys called you for a poker night."
"No way."
"Alex, please…" Y/N pouted and made puppy dog eyes, knowing the woman couldn't resist that.
"Okay." she rolls her eyes reluctantly accepting.
"How about that one?" the younger asks running along the shore of the beach, picking up something colorful partially covered by the sand "It's orange."
"It's beautiful." the blonde smiles and takes the shell in her hand, admiring the coloring "You officially got your first seashell."
They exchange a quick kiss and continue walking around with their hands together, Alex holding a small children's bucket where what they find are being placed. There are a few shells, but the bottom is filled with different colorful stones they found along the way, the ADA carefully places the new addition on top. Alexander walks in front of them, admiring the scenery.
"I confess I never imagined you were someone who likes the sea." Y/N comments opening a silly smile, managing to materialize the image "Always surprising me."
"I think I got so caught up in my role in the troubled and stressful city life for so long that I almost forgot that part about myself. I'm sorry."
"For what?
"I don't know, maybe for not telling you." they stop walking and stare at each other for a millisecond, she embarrassed, Y/N confused.
"Alex, there's no reason for you to apologize, plus I love finding out new things about you." the younger smiles and takes her girlfriend's hand to lips, kissing the palm of the hand while looking at her lovingly "And each thing I find out makes me fall in love with you even more."
Before Alex could answer the man calls them over, pointing to a pair of shells brought in by the water, a white with blue larger and a slightly smaller yellow one. He picks them up off the ground and lifts the shells to show them.
"It's you two!" Alexander says running up to them "The big one is Alex, the color is reminiscent of your eyes. And you, Y/N, are the yellow one. Your aura has that color." he puts the shells in the bucket and runs back to where he was, looking for more shells.
"I used to think so, but now I'm pretty sure, my dad hit the head and changed his personality." Alex whispers and faces him, she had never seen him this way before "Like in those movies you make me watch."
"And that you like. Let's go, before we lose him on the beach."
They found some more shells and went home to take a bath after enjoying their day at the beach. The Cabots were the first to get ready, while Y/N finishes getting ready in their room. Then Alex sees her father neat and tidy again, he is wearing a social blouse and decent shoes, his hair is perfectly styled, beard trimmed, just like she always saw him before.
"I wanted to give you something, I never thought I would pass it on, but here it is…" Alexander pulls out of his pants pocket a small dark green velvet box "This is the ring my father used to propose to my mother, your grandparents. And when I saw how you and Y/N look at each other I knew instantly that it must belong to you."
"Daddy… I…"
"And I may have seen your research history on the laptop unintentionally when I borrowed it." he confesses and steps closer, handing the box into his hands "I would love to have her in the family."
"Thank you, daddy."
"Ah, here she is!" he announces turning his daughter around so that the younger can't see what's in her hands "Look, dear, your girlfriend looks beautiful…"
"Yes…" Alex is awestruck when Y/N comes out of the room dressed in party clothes, it's delicate, the outfit fits her body perfectly, each cut, measurement and the color, her favorite, highlights her as if she were glowing "Sweetheart, you look amazing!" she says approaching.
"I know, your dad bought it for me, in fact he insisted on paying for it."
"I couldn't leave the store without buying, her eyes sparkled seeing the window display." he says excitedly "I already made reservations at that seaside restaurant."
"I forgot to use perfume…" Y/N remembers and rushes back to the room, also to do some touch ups, that place is extravagantly chic, like the places her girlfriend takes her on special dates. She doesn't want to look out of place.
"It's for in half an hour, two places."
"I thought you were going with us." Alex frowns and faces him "You arranged the whole thing, didn't you?"
"Maybe so, I hope you two enjoy the evening. If you want we'll still have poker night afterwards, otherwise the house is all yours, the pool too. I have my plans too." Alexander winks and nods to the girl leaving the room, adjusting her outfit "You look perfect, beautiful lady."
"Thank you, Alexander." her cheeks turn rosy.
"Excuse me, girls. Edward broke the poker table, so I'm going over to help him fix it until the game, enjoy the restaurant for me." he grabs his jacket from the armchair and quickly puts it on without giving time for a reaction "See you later, dear. Take good care of Y/N. And Y/N, take good care of my girl. Oh, I'm bringing the mint liquor for the night, I love the treat."
"Right!" they reply in unison and look at each other as the man hurries out the door.
"I have to say…" Alex begins to speak, letting out the breath she barely realized she was holding, and places a hand on her girlfriend's waist "You look incredibly stunning today, you are beautiful every day, but today you shine. I am so lucky to have you as my woman." then kisses her gently, hands running up to reach her face and caresses with fingertips "And I can't wait to get these clothes off of you."
"And I your clothes, you look fucking sexy."
"Dirty mouth!"
"You love my mouth."
"You're right…"
They smile and walk to the door holding hands, fingers intertwined, Alex's thumb caressing the soft skin. The blonde stares at her girlfriend, the hair, clothes, the body she loves every part and small details, the gentle face with a smile that makes her melt, but nothing makes her weaker than the Y/E/C eyes that always make her body quiver passionately. Every single thing about Y/N delights her, her personality, dedication, how sweet and understanding she can be but also a beast to protect her, how they can be very different in some ways to the point of complementing each other, just as they share many characteristics and passions. She sighs after closing the passenger door, watching the younger settle into her seat through the glass and puts her hand in the coat pocket, feeling the soft little box against the fingertips. She moves the object and smiles. When she got in the car the day before the idea was still being seeded, but one day spent together away from everything was enough for ADA to know that she is the right woman and maybe her dad's, suddenly invasive, little push gave her the courage she needed. A simple family weekend in the Hamptons suddenly turns into plans to make Y/N a Cabot putting the family ring on her finger. Y/N Cabot. Alexandra Cabot's future wife.

I read a post where it says about someone scoffing whenever somebody told him that he liked the girl and yet he looks at her first just to see if she was also laughing when someone cracks a joke, and an idea just came to my mind. Enjoy! xx
The first time Casey met Alex, she felt inferior next to her. Casey doesn’t fold, she never cowers— but with Alex, she, well, kind of did.
But, who doesn’t, right? It is THE great Alexandra Cabot. Plus, she was her predecessor.
“ You know, We’ve gone over all my questions. I think you’re ready, ” Casey uttered.
As if on instincts, Alex asked “ Are you? ” and if Casey was offended, she did great hiding it, because she just gave Alex an empathetic look, instead.
It was too late when Alex realized that she was below the belt but she couldn’t do anything about that so she just did what she knew was best to do. Apologize.
“ Casey, I’m sorry, that was out of line, ”
And Casey, being the most ever empathetic person that anyone she’ll encounter would ever meet, she showed Alex a reassuring smile, as if telling her that it’s okay, she understands.
“ It’s gotta be hard to be on that side of the desk, ” Casey uttered in which Alex agrees.
The first time Alex met Casey, she was taken aback just a little bit… Okay, fine, a LOT. She knew Casey, she heard about how great she was in homicide, and if there’s something Alex Cabot respects and looks up to so much— it is being great at what you do.
But, of course, she wouldn’t admit it. She’s THE Alexandra Cabot, after all.
But Casey is THE Casey Novak. Although different from the one that she used to know and the one that people who were working with her knew, it did not changed the fact that whichever unit you place Casey into, she will rise.
“ So, Casey Novak, ” Alex uttered, breaking the silence.
“ What about her? ” Olivia asked.
“ She was the one who replaced me. Is she even worth the position? ” Alex asked.
Olivia’s brows furrowed at that and her jaw tensed.
“ Casey’s good at what she does, in fact, she’s just as great as you were, if not better, ” she defended.
Alex’s shoulders relaxes a bit at that but the slight shock in her face didn’t passed Olivia’s eyes.
“ Wow. You’ve bonded with her, ” Alex stated.
Liv smirked as she nods her head. “ What are you now— jealous? ” she asks, teasing.
Alex’s jaw clenched as she fixes her eyeglasses. “ Oh, please. ”
The first time Olivia met Alex after the incident, Alex looked so lost. Before, she always shows up prepared, but that day, she wasn’t.
There really was a difference between being a victim and being the one defending the former; and that day, Alex was the victim.
So if she has the upper hand, she doesn’t have any idea.
“ When I was a prosecutor, I never went to court without a plan, ” Alex uttered, sighing.
Elliot give Alex an empathetic smile before replying “ you've never been the victim. ”
Alex just sighed at that. “ I should be trying the bastard who shot that little boy. ”
Elliot chuckles lightly as he shakes his head.
“ Casey would be. She knows what she’s doing, and she’s really, really great at it. You should trust her, ”
Alex blows out some air out of her mouth.
“ I do. It’s just that… ”
“ She took your job, I understand. If ever someone took after my position, I wouldn’t trust them to be as great as I am, too. ” Elliot reassured.
Alex was the one who gives respect to someone who does a very good job at what they do, but she wasn’t the person who trusts someone, especially if it’s her job that they would be doing.
Or she wasn’t the one who easily trusts, at least.
The first time Olivia met Casey, she finds her… pretty annoying.
But if Casey were anything, she wasn’t that. In contrast, she was very passionate, and compassionate— which each and everyone from the squad loved about her.
Especially the ice queen herself.
“ It looks like pharmaceuticals to me. It’s in the warrant, bag it. ”
“ Who the hell are you? ” Liv asked, sounding annoyed.
“ That’s our new ADA, ” Elliot answered instead. “ Casey Novak, Olivia Benson. Olivia, this is Casey Novak, ” he introduced the two with each other, gesturing them.
And Casey can be a bit cocky, too.
“ Do I know you? ” Casey asked.
“ Yeah, shortstop, cop's team, ” Elliot replied, gesturing Casey to come with him. “ Come here. ”
Casey smirked and squint her eyes. But nevertheless, she followed Elliot. “ Oh, right. Didn't recognize you when you weren't covered in my dust, ” she fires with a smug grin plastered on her face.
Elliot could only answer “ that's very good. ”
The second time Olivia met Alex, she seems disappointed. It’s as if she’s looking for something, expecting to find it, yet, she didn’t.
Well, she is.. looking… for someone.
“ Did you find it yet? ” Olivia asked Alex who’s obviously roaming her eyes around.
Alex stopped and looks at Liv. “ I don’t know what you’re talking about, ”
Liv chuckles. “ Okay. But you will never find her. Nor see her, not right now, at least, ” she uttered.
“ What happened? ” Alex asked, concern is evident in her voice.
“ Censure, ”
Alex felt her knees weakens. “ Oh, my, ”
The second time Liv met Casey, was the second time Alex has literally met her, too. It was after her censure. And for the first time in forever, Liv saw a glimpse of light in Alex’s eyes.
“ So, you’re back, ” Alex says, breaking the ice.
Casey give Alex a small smile as she nods her head.
“ It seems so, ” she then shrugged. “ I still have to prove myself, tho, ”
Alex wasn’t the one to smile wide. That’s why she had perfected this signature look of her: the half-smile-half-smirk that everyone knew.
But that day, Liv saw what her genuine smile is.
All because of Casey.
“ I wish you the best on that, then, ” Alex responds. “ Kick their ass, ” she added.
“ Thanks, Alex, ” Casey smiled sweetly. “ Have a safe trip on your flight to Congo, ” she added, tapping Alexandra’s shoulder.
“ Thank you. I’ll be going now, ”
Casey nods. “ Yeah, don’t let us take a hold of you for long, ” she replied, chuckling lightly.
The third time Casey and Alex met each other, they shared a case.
They always say that you couldn’t put fire and ice together because it wouldn’t just work. And, oh, boy, was it true.
Or so we thought.
Alex is an ice queen, and just like an ice, her moves were calm, careful, and calculated. Contrary to Casey, the fiery redhead, who was like a fire— hot, unpredictable, fierce. Two different attributes, but both were just as dangerous.
And so they clashed. Why wouldn’t they, fire is the opposite of ice. You can’t place a fire together with ice in a same room, because one of them will just always end up burning.
But, we were, gladly, proven wrong. As the popular saying goes by: opposite attracts.
“ What the hell is your problem? ” Casey asked, a little bit annoyed.
“ Your techniques, ” Alex answered nonchalantly.
Casey’s brows furrowed at that. “ What about them? ” she asked.
“ They’re.. kind of reckless, ” Alex uttered.
Casey squint her eyes then shakes her head. “ So I’ve been told, ”
“ Maybe tone it down a little bit and calculate your moves, instead? ” Alex suggested with a soft voice.
Casey just shakes her head eagerly, saying “ no way. I like it the way that I do, thank you very much, ”
Alex could only sigh at that.
Casey nibbled her bottom lip then heaves a sigh before opening her mouth to speak.
“ Alex, you have to trust me. You need to try to, at least, ”
Alex creases her forehead. “ I do trust you, ” she defended.
“ No, you don’t, ” Casey replied, shaking her head. “ I’m trying, really, to win this case the way you want it and yet you can’t see it. What you can only see is me, being reckless. I know I was, well, I still am. I got censured, for damn sake. But haven’t I proven myself enough again already? ” she then asks.
Alex winced when she saw pain in Casey’s eyes, then fixed her eyeglasses to help her compose herself.
“ I’m sorry, Case.. It’s not that I don’t trust you. It’s just that.. ”
“ What? ” Casey asks but Alex just kept mum.
For the very first time, Alex was speechless.
“ We’re both tired, we’ve been going through this case since the morning at it’s close to midnight now. Good night, Alex. I’ll just talk to you tomorrow, ” Casey then give Alex an understanding smile before she turned her back and make her way out of their shared office when she felt fingers wrapped around her arm.
“ Casey, wait, ”
Casey turns to face Alex again.
“ I’m sorry. I trust you. Okay, we’ll talk tomorrow. But, please, let me accompany you home? ” Alex pleaded with a hopeful smile.
Casey contemplated for a second but when she saw the way Alex was looking and smiling at her, how can she not say yes?
“ Okay, ” Casey said softly, nodding her head.
Alex’s smile grew bigger. “ Okay? ” she repeated. “ Okay, ” she then nods her haid. “ Just give me a second to fix my things, I’d be just quick— ”
“ Alex.. ” Casey held Alex’s hand to forearm to stop her. “ Hey, sweetie, stop. You don’t have to panic. Take your time, I’m not going anywhere, ” she then smiled sweetly which made Alex, too.
“ Okay… ”
“ Okay. ”
Everyone can see the chemistry that radiates off Casey and Alex, and Alex will always huff whenever someone will tease her about it, or she’d just hear someone mentioning it.
But every time the squad gets out together, and someone will crack a joke, her eyes will always find Casey in the room of people just to see if she was laughing, too. Every time Casey would be out of Alex’s sight even just for a second, she would worry and would look for her. When Casey’s talking about something that really interests her, Alex was the one to pay the most attention, as if taking a mental note of it, afraid that she might forget it and she might hurt and/or disappoint Casey if ever that happens.
And, Casey.. well, Casey would just dismiss the idea of it and laugh it off. To quote her exact words: “ Stop it, you guys. There’s no way. It’s just.. there’s no way. Way too impossible, ”
Yet, every time she will look at Alex, you can see the admiration in her eyes. Every time hers and Alex’s eyes will meet, she will have this flustered face. And every time she will see Alex being “ touchy ” with someone else, you could see the fire in her eyes, saying that she was hurt, and feeling envy of that someone, whoever they were, and jealous.
And they could go on forever about denying their feelings for each other, but they wouldn’t last seeing one another being held by someone, and that someone wasn’t them.
Olivia can go on and on and on in telling us how many times Casey and Alex have met, and what were they like,
And Elliot might not shut about how many times I have met Alex and Casey and the things that I kept on noticing about them every time we meet, and I know that all of you would never get tired hearing them all…
But that’s enough for now. Today, we’re meeting, and it doesn’t matter if it’s our first time meeting each other, or if it’s eternity, but one thing’s for sure, we were all meeting for the first time to witness a great love story unfold before our eyes.
“ Casey, Alex, things hasn’t been so easy for the two of you, but you’ve got through with it, stronger. I’ve seen lots of kinds of love and yours is one that I really look up to— unbreakable. Stay whipped, Case! ” Elliot, Casey’s best man, ended his speech, raising his champagne glass, gesturing it as a salute to the newlyweds.
“ If there’s someone who deserves to be that happy, “ Alex’s best man, Liv, gestured at them before continuing “ it’s the two of you, Counsellors, ” she then smiled and raises her glass of champagne. “ It’s such an honour to be one of those who have witnessed how the love story of you two develops and grows from being Alex’s simple crush towards Casey, to colleagues, friends, and now, as each other’s confidant and lover. May your love continues to grow as you grow old together while growing as an individual beside each other. And, oh, Alex; my dear Alex, my ever-smitten-to-Casey friend, Alex, may you always stay that way. Cheers! ” Olivia then take a sip of her champagne causing the crowd to went wild. Elliot then clank a utensil lightly on his glass, which everyone mimicked while shouting “ kiss! ” in which Casey and Alex are both happy to obliged.

Alex Cabot x Casey Novak x Reader SFW Fluff Alphabet
Big thanks to to @scealaiscoite for their SFW Poly Fluff Alphabet for the inspiration here!
a = affection Is anyone more overtly affectionate than the others? You are definitely the most outwardly affectionate. Not in a PDA sense, you just tend to be the most sentimental. You don't initiate physical touch a whole lot, but Alex and Casey both know you are down to cuddle at any time, and they take advantage of it often. Alex is the snugglier of the two, but Casey gets FOMO when you snuggle without her, so she'll jump in, too. b = bed What's the sleeping situation like? California King (no twin bed! no roommates!). Casey on the right, Alex on the left. You are forever the middle spoon because (a) you love it, (b) you're by far the smallest, and (c) both Casey and Alex can feel a bit smothered after a whole night of middle spoon-ing. c = comfort When someone's feeling down, how do the others look after them? When you're down, your self-esteem takes a hard hit, so Alex and Casey do their best to be extra reassuring. When Alex is down, you and Casey do your best to make her feel important and to distract her. Nice clothes, expensive dinner, all your attention all night. When Casey's down, she needs to take a fucking break. The problem is that she never wants to. You and Alex usually have to take her phone and laptop away and force her to relax. Bubble bath, takeout, snuggles, the works.
d = dates What do dates look like? Who usually plans them, and are they individual or a group affair? You take turns planning, but also enjoy the occasional spontaneous date. Everyone is always invited, but not everyone always goes. You have lots of things you like to do all together, like dinner and a movie or a weekend at the beach or a trip to the farmer's market. But there are things you do in pairs, too. For example, you and Alex love classical music, so you've got season tickets to the NY Phil, but Casey's ears would explode if you made her go. Alex will attend a sports event with you and Casey once in a blue moon, but mostly it's just you two. Alex and Casey love dancing, from ballroom to clubbing and everything in between. You are a truly awful dancer and have a really hard time in loud, crowded environments, so you usually send them on their way and enjoy an evening to yourself.
e = events Who drags everyone else to their family's and friends' events? When it comes to family, you do all the dragging. Casey's parents live in the city, so you see them at least a few times a month, and Alex doesn't talk to her dad (her mom died when she was 17). You're very close to your family, and you're the only one who has siblings and nieces and nephews. Christmas at your family's is a given, and Alex and Casey are 100% there for it. But friend events? Those are all Casey. Alex will drag you to one, too, mostly out of obligation, but Casey genuinely enjoys going out and grabbing drinks with friends and will convince you both to go with her sometimes.
f = fights Are fights something that happen often? How are they resolved? Of course you fight. Everyone fights. But the fights are usually civil and logical and respectful. You've got twice as many relationships to maintain in a triad, so direct communication is a priority for you all. Casey and Alex have had to learn how to tone down their "lawyer-ness" during arguments, though. At first, they'd sometimes fight you so hard–like they were in court–that they'd end up making you cry. They always felt awful and backpedaled real quick. They're a lot gentler with conflicts now.
g - getting together How did you all get together? Alex and Casey met at work, a slow-burn career romance. By the time you came along, they'd already been together for several years. They'd discussed polyamory before and, while neither was necessarily opposed, neither one of them had anyone else they wanted to date either. So it was very much a we'll cross that bridge when we come to it situation. They came to the bridge when you moved to the city and joined Casey's rec softball league. It was Casey who fell for you first, Casey who started inviting you out to lunch with her and Alex after softball games, Casey who cautiously, gently asked Alex how she'd feel about her dating you. To which Alex said, Yeah, of course, if it'll make you happy. But I think I kind of want to date her, too. Can we all date? Do you think she'd be into that? It turns out that, yes, you were into that.
h = hobbies Do any of you share hobbies or passions? How do you include your other partner(s) in them? There's a foundational understanding between you that you don't all have to enjoy the same things. You and Alex share a deep love of reading and often spend evenings on the couch reading together, snuggled up against Casey as she plays video games or watches sports. You and Casey play softball together, and you love watching sports–baseball, basketball, football, you name it. Alex will watch with you, but she's mostly in it for the game day snacks you make. And obviously Casey and Alex have a whole career/calling in common, so they talk about that a lot, but they always try to make sure you're included in the conversation, and make sure to explain patiently when you have questions.
i = in sickness and in health When someone is sick, who's the caretaker and who's the germaphobe? Who's resistant to being taken care of? It depends on what kind of sick. If puking is involved, Alex and Casey are on their own. You are out of there, probably staying in a hotel, leaving soup deliveries outside the door with a mask on. Any other kind of sickness, and you absolutely dote on them. Casey eats this up. She is a pitiful sick person. Alex, on the other hand, will keep going until she literally can't anymore. And even then she'll tell you she's fine, and you have to force her to rest and take it easy. You can't exactly talk, you're pretty resistant to being taken care of, too. But that's mostly because Casey and Alex have important jobs to do, and you don't want to distract them.
j = joker Who's got the best sense of humor? Do you all like to tease and banter? You are by far the funniest of the three of you. You love making Alex and Casey laugh. It's one of the highlights of your life. Their jobs are so serious; they can tend to be on the serious side, too. So you make it your mission to brighten their days. That being said, there's a lot of good-natured teasing and insulting that happens on a regular basis. Casey calls you asshole more than she calls you anything else, probably. Alex has a razor sharp wit which is mostly funny, but every once in a while she'll toe the line between funny and mean. She can immediately tell when she's taken it too far, though, and is quick to make it up to you.
k = knowing Who can read their partners like a book? Is there anyone who has their walls up, even around their partners? By nature of being incredibly intuitive, you are the best at reading emotions. The problem is that you can usually tell what they're feeling but not why or who it's related to, so you almost always think it's somehow your fault. You're working on that one in therapy. Oddly, you're probably also the hardest to read. You have walls up, though they're slowly coming down. And Casey and Alex can have tunnel vision when it comes to work, so sometimes they miss things. Of the two of them, Casey is the more open with her emotions. Alex is open with anger and anger only. She's working very hard on being open with her other feelings, too.
l = lavish Is there anyone who really likes to lavish and show off their partners? How do the others react to it? Alex. Alex all the way. She's proud of herself, proud of the work she does, and proud of having not one but two stunning girlfriends. She dresses you and Casey up to the nines in clothes it would have taken you years to afford. When she walks into a room with you in a tailored Valentino suit on one arm and Casey in a designer gown on the other, she just knows everyone's jealous that she's living the best of both worlds. Since neither you nor Casey came from money, you both had a hard time with Alex's generosity at first, but you came to accept that showing you off is just Alex's way of telling you how proud she is of you and how happy she is that you're hers.
m = memories Is anyone more on the sentimental side? You, 100%. Although Casey and Alex have their moments, too. But you're the one who packs lunches with little loves notes. You're the one who surprises them with flowers at work, who cooks their favorite dinner because you know they had a bad day. You'll pick up that book that Alex wants so bad, but doesn't have time to go get. You'll record the Giants game instead of watching it while Casey's at work because you know she'd rather watch it together later. Of course, they do sweet things for you, too. Like Alex asking you to read your favorite book to her because she wants to read it with you. Or Casey organizing a game night with the SVU folks at your house, because she knows you want to hang out with them, too, you're just much more comfortable at home. You all have your moments, but they'd both agree that sentimentality just comes so, so naturally to you. It's a gift.
n = nights What's the nighttime routine like when you're all together? You are a big, big fan of parallel play so, even though you usually like to quietly read a book before bed, you want to do it wherever Alex and Casey are. Alex spends an eternity in the bathroom on her skin care routine before putting on the softest, most luxurious pajamas. She fixes herself a cup of peppermint tea and curls up next to you with her own book. Casey always has "more work to do," but she'll go through case files while you and Alex read. Or she'll finish the newspaper if she didn't get to that morning. She always has a gigantic, messy collection of file folders, old newspapers, and half-full glasses of water on her nightstand. You almost always fall asleep first, and they don't stay up too much longer because "you're just so adorable" and "I can't pay attention when you look that snug-able!"
o = open How open are you with one another? Very. You don't keep secrets. You don't tell lies. When you first got together, Alex suggested you all lay down "relationship rules." Those were two of the biggest. It sometimes takes longer for you to open up about what you're feeling, but they've learned that it doesn't really have anything to do with how much you trust them, it's just how you process things.
p = PDA What's PDA like with them? Is there anyone who loves it? Anyone who hates it? Alex would full-on make out with you in public, but she knows that's not a good look for someone in her position. Also, you and Casey do not like PDA. Casey will kiss you on the cheek or put a hand on the small of your back at a party, but that's it. You might hold their hands, but you won't do anything else in front of others. Alex won't either unless she feels like someone's infringing on her territory (her territory being you and Casey). Then she gets really possessive and is not afraid to show people that you're hers.
q = quiet Who prefers to spend their time out and about, and who likes to spend it at home? Casey is the most social of you. She loves going out with you or going out with friends. Alex is kind of in the middle. She's very, very good with people and socializes quite a bit, but often out of political obligation (to grease the wheels, so to speak, and make connections) rather than for fun. You are a hardcore homebody. You'll go out with them because you love them, but you're always very excited when you all decide on a night in.
r = romantic Is anyone a bit of a sap for their partners? You. So, so you. You just truly can't believe you lucked out with these two gorgeous, strong, confident, crazy smart women. Oddly enough, both Alex and Casey tend to be more affectionate with you than they are with one another. It's not that they love each other less, but you've got a couple of theories as to why they're just a little more romantic with you. (1) You're much, much smaller than them. Like a full 10 inches shorter. So they sometimes baby you a bit. They think you're very cute. You both love and hate it. (2) They were together first, and then kind of simultaneously fell for you, so you sometimes think they see you as collectively theirs, tag-teaming to take care of you and love you. You don't mind. They're collectively yours, too. (3) You're more sentimental than either of them, so it's easier for them to be sentimental with you than with one another. But, all in all, there's plenty of romance to go around.
s = sharing Is there anyone who's particularly territorial of their partners? ALEX. Very possessive of both of you. Casey's pretty damn possessive of you, too. Less so of Alex, but that's probably because she knows nobody fucks with Alex. You are the least territorial, mostly because you're just glad to be there. It doesn't leave a whole lot of room for jealousy. Just as Alex and Casey did before you came along, you all have an open understanding that if someone else were to come along–for any of you–you'd be okay with one of you pursuing a relationship with someone else, too. But it seems unlikely. You're all deeply content with things as they are now and don't really see yourselves bringing anyone else in.
t = terms of endearment Nicknames! What are the nicknames!? Alex uses honey or my love. Casey uses sweetheart and honey and sometimes baby. You mostly use lovely, which drives both of them wild, and also honey on occasion.
u = urge Who's the most impulsive? And who reins them back in? None of you are very impulsive. You think things through before acting. But of the three of you, Alex is probably the one who lets her emotions get the best of her, which can sometimes get her into hot water. Both Casey's and Alex's emotions (and impulses to do something brave and stupid) run high during hard cases. Thankfully, you're usually there to talk them out of it.
v = vacations How do vacations go? And where do you travel? You do vacations big. Alex has a lot of money, and you all love traveling. Alex considers it her absolute joy to make you and Casey's travel dreams come true, because she knows you didn't grow up with the kind of money to make them happen. She whisks you away on far-flung vacations as often as she can. An even bigger test of her love: she'll go camping with you because Casey loves it so much. But only with the highest end camping gear. And she will not touch a fish or a fishing pole, but she'll sit in a chair and read with you while you and Casey go fishing. Your favorite vacation so far? A surprise holiday trip to Soneva Jani in the Maldives. You'd always wanted to go to the Maldives, but it was very much a pipe dream. Alex packed for you, and you had no idea where you were going until you boarded the connecting flight to Malé. You were so excited you cried a little. When you stepped into your overwater bungalow, you just couldn't contain your excitement, running around the building, staring out at the crystal blue water, and kissing Casey and Alex over and over again, saying "Thank you thank you thank you thank you!"
w = worthy How are insecurities handled? Are any of you more self-conscious than the others? You're the most self-conscious. Casey and Alex are just so conventionally beautiful and successful and confident. They're smart, powerful, career-driven women and you're... a dorky, tiny, androgynous little work-from-home ad copywriter. Sometimes it's hard to know what they see in you. Alex is almost never insecure because she's cocky as fuck. Unless she screws up at work, and then she needs a lot of reassurance. Casey is insecure in that she's never able to live up to her own standards, so you have to remind her often that she doesn't need to be perfect and she's doing great. Insecurities in your home are always met with love and reassurance, never annoyance or frustration.
x = xoxo Who checks up on their partners a lot when they're apart? Do they call or text? Casey. She'll call to check up on you at least once a day. If you're out of town, she calls you at night, too, right before bed, on speakerphone with her and Alex (or vice versa, if Alex is out of town). Alex misses you, too, but she's more likely to text sporadically throughout the day. You text or call when you see something funny or something that reminds you of them.
y = yearn Who misses their partners the most, even just throughout the day? You really like your alone time, so you miss them but you really like having your space (working from home is great for this). But Casey and Alex miss you. Because you're home so often, when you're not home–out with friends, spending the weekend at your parents', etc.–they almost don't know what to do with themselves. Bonus POV: The Group Chat Casey: babe when are you coming home 😢 💔 😭 💌 😫 Alex: my love I need you here in my arms You: omg chill you guys i've been gone for like 2 hours! Casey: yeah 2 hours 2 long
z = zealous Who was especially eager in pursuit of the relationship? Was anyone more reserved? When it was just Alex and Casey, Alex made the first move. With you, it was Casey who came after you the hardest. Alex was a bit more reserved because she didn't want to make you feel like you had to date her, too. She wanted to be sure that you knew if you just wanted to date Casey and not her, that was okay. but she really did want you. She was trying so hard to be respectful that you eventually had to ask her out. Alex, can we go out sometime? Yeah, I'll see when Casey's free. No, I meant... just me and you. I mean, obviously Casey can come, too, if she wants, but... I'd like to take you out if you'll let me.

“Never Not Mine”
| SVU & Headcanons
Sypnosis — How would they react to you sulking because they have been ignoring your calls.
Note — Olivia Benson, Alexandra Cabot, Casey Novak, Melinda Warner // inspired by the loveliest, @lxndrlvr !
(Female reader centered, no pronouns used!)
———————————————————————
!!
Olivia Benson
• — Olivia would kneel down beside your bed and press kisses all over your hand, apologizing over and over again until you’d look at her.
• — She was not the most responsible person when it came to her personal cellphone. Everyone, especially the captain knew that. One time, Cragen found her phone on top of the coffee maker overheated.
• — This time, she left her phone in the bathroom. Thankfully, it wasn’t waterboarded.
• — When she realizes you are ignoring her, she would straddle your hips and place kisses all over your face just to get a reaction out of you. And once she does, she embarrassedly explains why she missed your calls.
• — “Casey rang it and found in on top of the toilet seat.” She whispers, “Hehe, sorry.”
• — And to make it up to you, Olivia would give her full attention to you by cuddling while you watch a movie unbearably inseperable from eachother. She would hold you, resting her head on your shoulder.
• — Not long enough, she falls asleep against it and you couldn’t help but laugh. You really needed to by her a phone charm next time.
Alexandra Cabot
• — She would go home with your favorite flowers, chocolates, and even the cardigan you didn’t realize was missing. You didn’t bother being mad anymore, you just shut your eyes and slept.
• — To be fair, it was 12 AM in the morning. And you didn’t have the energy to be mad at her for missing your calls.
• — Alexandra Cabot, the blonde insomniac who rarely sleeps properly, somehow found herself sleeping on her desk for three hours straight. While her phone was flooded of your calls, her back hurt.
• — She would try to call you back, but assumes you have up on waiting for her.
• — Alex would go to the nearest mall that was still surprisingly open and buy you the things that you like. Tell me why the woman bought a massager as well.
• — “I certainly deserve the back pain for sleeping in my office.” Alex says as you knead her back gently, bringing ease to her body.
• — She would hug you tightly, inhaling your comforting scent in the crook of your neck as she tells you why she missed your calls. She knew you were listening because she would tickle your sides and you would squirm everytime.
Casey Novak
• — Casey would open the door slowly to your room, smiling awkwardly as you ask why she hasn’t been picking up your calls. She could only smile, her cute dimples popping out.
• — She had left her charger at home with her phone running at thirty percent for the whole day. She tried to borrow one from Elliot, but he said he accidentally broke it trying to contemplate his anger.
• — So, it was a whole day of her praying to God that you did not call her out of your worry. Unfortunately, you did. About a million times.
• — She would distract you by huskily whispering compliments in your ear as you lean in her hug, a displeased but smiling expression lies on your face.
• — Casey would cradle you and you would just stay still, letting her do whatever the hell she wants with you. You were glad that she was home, and all that matters is that she is safe.
• — But you playfully roll your eyes as she jokingly starts to sing you a lullaby and coaxing you down on the bed as if you were a newborn baby.
• — “So, I forgot my charger. 😁”
Melinda Warner
• — Melinda would go home to you sleeping peacefully in your bed. She smiles to herself, adjusting your blanket further up your neck.
• — She got cozy. Changing her clothes, unpacking her work bag, and eventually joining you between the sheets.
• — Melinda wasn’t that sleepy yet, so she checks her phone for the first time today. She was confused why she didn’t have any notifications. Turns out, her phone was on do-not-disturb the whole time.
• — When she turns it off, your missed call notifications came flooding her phone to the point you were awaken by the sound of endless chiming. She was in shock, completely unaware that you’ve been calling her.
• — “I’m sorry, darling. I must’ve clicked DND on accident, I didn’t mean to miss your—”
• — You interrupted her by hugging her tiredly, just resting in her embrace. She closes her mouth, playing with your hair to bring you consolation for being alone without any updates.
• — She grins warmly, her eyes observing your peaceful features resting. Melinda met her own weary too, she has alot of making up to do in the morning.

The ones with children were always the worst. Everyone remembered their first case with a kid. Elliot sure did. So he knew Olivia would never forget Isabella, the little girl they’d met today.
“Benson,” he said again. She was twirling a pen between two fingers, avoiding his gaze, eyes glazed and shadowy. “Come to my place, hang out with the kid for a bit, I’ll make us dinner.”

come let's be gentle (be soft in my arms)
Abbie/Alex fluff! ao3!
At work and at home she carried herself with untouchable confidence. Abbie did the same. It matched them up well for everything but tenderness. But here, she was drawn to softness and caring. She’d never felt this way for Alex, and had hardly felt it for anybody before.
She arrived at Alex’s place at 9pm like she had been instructed to that afternoon when Alex had stopped into her office on the way to a deposition.
When knock one wasn’t answered, knock two (a little louder) followed only a minute later. Abbie was about to knock a third time, worried that she had changed her mind, or something had happened to her, when she heard the sound of the door unlocking. The sight surprised her: a very sleepy Alex Cabot, yawning and rubbing her red eyes. The shirt and slacks she had been wearing at work were rumpled, and her hair was frizzy from the humidity in the spring air.
“Sorry Abbie,” She said, her voice slightly hoarse. “I fell asleep right after I got home.”
“Oh,” Abbie said. “Do you want to go back to bed? We can just do this some other time, it’s not a problem.”
“No, no,” Alex shook her head. “Come in, please.”
The apartment was as it always was, spotless and chilly. Abbie set down her attache and took off her shoes (Alex’s was a no shoe apartment with zero exceptions). Alex kissed her first, cutting to the chase like they always did, her mouth assertive and her hands roaming. It felt as good as it always did, but there was something different. It was almost hollow, like she was just going through the motions. Her breaths were shaky. Abbie broke the kiss, but kept her hands on Alex’s waist.
“You okay?” She asked.
“Yeah, just a little, lightheaded,” she said. Abbie’s brow furrowed into an expression of concern.
“Did you eat lunch?”
Alex thought for a second.
“No.” She said, with her eyes turned down.
Abbie let go and walked into the kitchen.
“You need to eat, then,” she said. Maybe it was intrusive, but despite the nature of their relationship, she did care about her. Also, she didn’t need Alex passing out that night— she had energy to spare.
Abbie looked through her fridge, taking stock of its contents. Leftover takeout, yogurt, mustard, olives, wilting salad in a bag. A few bottles of white wine, a bag of unopened chocolate Easter eggs. “I take it you don’t cook,” she said, more observation than judgement.
“I tried occasionally in law school, but it never stuck.”
“Law school as in last year?” Abbie said, quietly, already running through the short list of ingredients she would need. Something quick and easy and comforting. She pictured Alex perched on her spotless countertops while she cooked, and the thought was so enticingly domestic it scared her. What they had was not soft. Often, Abbie had pushed Alex against the counter, holding her hips against the cold tile. At times, in bed, their limbs tangled in sharp knots. Alex occasionally left her side cold in the early mornings. She was crisp white sheets and precisely folded fluffy throw blankets, always matching sets of simple lingerie.
“It was only first year, so more like five,” Alex said. “I set fire to my stove cooking ramen and gave up. Abbie nodded her head.
Alex could handle being teased, liked it even, as she learned. Alex never let her be gentle: she would thread her hands into her hair and tug, pull her wrists where she wanted them, push against her lips. She made her most delightful sounds when Abbie followed a kiss with a bite or a caress with a scratch. Sometimes Abbie wondered if she would ever get to see her truly comfortable.
“Ah right, ages ago.”
“You’re only two years older than me,” Alex said. She smiled confidently, her bottom lip coming between her teeth for the slightest moment.
“Mm, and somehow, I learned to cook.” Abbie took the small step to her right that closed the little space between them, felt the warmth of Alex’s body. She took her hand firmly, decisively, knowing that anything lighter would make her squirm away. Her already present smile twisted into something larger, an unspoken challenge to which she would ordinarily never hesitate to rise. Abbie’s gaze shifted to Alex’s mouth and drifted back up to her eyes. She hovered in Alex’s space, enjoying the moment before pulling back. She smirked.
“Let’s go!” Abbie said, scooping her keys from where she’d set them down and heading quickly for the door despite Alex’s frustrated protests, her head tilting up in laughter.
“Wait, where are we going?”Alex said. She took her hand and stole her kiss just as they stepped out of the door.
—
“It’s good you’re close to a real grocery store.”
“I still don’t usually go this far,” Alex said, picking up a tub of her usual yogurt, “I probably should, though, this is a lot less expensive.”
Abbie smiled, but, worried she would come across as patronizing, or worse, mocking, stopped before it got too wide. There wasn’t anything inherently better about cooking for yourself, she would convince herself, healthier, more environmentally friendly— those reasons aside, some people just didn’t like doing it. And Abbie got that, but still, Alex’s skeletal pantry struck something in her. She wanted to fill her freezer with batches of soup and bake her sugar cookies, clutter her refrigerator shelves with tubes of tomato paste and halves of onions, and. Well. That was something to think about when they weren’t under fluorescent lights growing chilly in the dairy section.
“C’mon,” Abbie said. “We’re in the wrong section, and we don’t need that many things. A rotisserie chicken and stock, carrots, celery, garlic, rosemary, sage, and egg noodles— oh, and olive oil.”
“And that’s not that many things?” Alex said. As far as she was concerned, eight ingredients was as good as 100. “Also, what on earth are you going to make?”
“Alex, guess.” She looked at Abbie blankly. Abbie could almost feel her eyes light up. It was so endearing to see Alex in an unfamiliar place, where she didn’t know everything doing something she’d never done before. “I guess you’ll just have to wait and see then.”
Alex rolled her eyes, and Abbie grinned.
—
Abbie set all her ingredients on the counter. She found a knife. “Do you have a cutting board?” She asked.
“Actually, yes,” Alex said. She crouched and opened a cabinet. “Here you go,” She said.
It was still in its packaging. Abbie laughed before she thought about it. Alex turned her eyes down.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m only laughing because you’re cute.”
Alex blushed, something Abbie had never seen before. Then again, she’d never called Alex cute before. Sexy, beautiful, gorgeous, yes, but never cute. She’d never seen Alex and even thought cute. Her heart jumped.
“Oh,” Alex said softly. “Thanks.”
Abbie just turned and opened the package.
“Do you need help?”
“Just your company,” Abbie said. Her confidence and comfort was growing as she showed her expertise. Abbie’s mother had insisted her daughter learn every skill that would make a good housewife one day, hopefully to a politician, just like she had married. She ordinarily resented it, the hours spent learning to mend and cleaning up after her brothers. Right now, she couldn’t be more thankful for the recipes firmly rooted in her memory.
Alex was relieved: finally something she was good at. She took a bottle from the fridge and poured them both glasses of wine. She put on a calm CD and listened to Abbie chop the vegetables.
“I need a pot.”
Alex miraculously found one (that she’d never used) on a high shelf. The sizzling and the aroma was so comforting. She felt more relaxed than she remembered feeling in months.
“How did you learn to cook, really?” She asked.
Abbie sighed. “My mom forced me to learn as a kid,” she said. “I’m grateful for it now, but I hated it then.”
“My mother never cooked,” Alex said.
“Who fed you?”
“My nanny,” she said. “And a lot of takeout.”
Abbie hummed and tasted the soup. It wasn’t super flavorful, but it was so comforting. She added the noodles and the chicken. “It’s almost ready,” she said. “Will you get some bowls?”
“I don’t suppose you have a ladle, do you?” Abbie said.
“That would be a no.” Abbie shrugged. She poured the soup into the bowls carefully.
“That’s okay,” Abbie said. Alex rose from her seat and walked up behind Abbie, resting her head on her shoulder and wrapping her arms around her waist. Abbie felt warm— she thought she must be blushing. Alex kissed her cheek.
Abbie handed her a bowl and a spoon and Alex couldn’t wait to sit down before she took a sip. Her eyes widened.
“Oh my god, Abbie. This is incredible!” She said, almost in disbelief. Abbie grinned and went to sit at the table.
Alex shook her head.
“The couch,” she said. “Well, the floor by the coffee table. I never use that table.”
Just another thing to add to the list of ways Alex Cabot was cute.
-
An hour after dinner, the bottle of wine finished, Alex was yawning on the couch. They had talked and talked, learning things that they’d never had a reason to tell each other before. Alex had studied abroad in Spain. Abbie had never been to Europe. Abbie had been a D1 track star in college. Alex played soccer for a year in high school because she had a crush on the goalie. Alex’s favorite flower was lavender. Abbie’s were tulips.
When Abbie noticed Alex was truly asleep, she removed her legs from her lap gently and got her keys from the kitchen island, trying not to wake her— she knew Alex was an incredibly light sleeper. Despite her best efforts, the jingling woke her up. Alex stretched and opened her sleepy eyes.
“You don’t have to go,” she said quietly. “I think it’s late.”
She squinted to see the clock on the oven and confirmed her suspicion.
“Are you sure?” Abbie said. She was tired too and hardly wanted to take the subway or try to find a cab at this hour.
“Yeah,” Alex said, getting up from the couch. “I want you to.”
“Thanks, Alex.”
Abbie started to place the few dishes they had used into the dishwasher. Alex flicked on the hall light.
“Don’t worry about those, I’ll do them in the morning,” She said. Abbie followed her into the bedroom.
It was so familiar, she’d been there so many times, yet, in this context it was different. She noticed things she hadn’t before, books on the bedside table and an empty mug on the bookshelf. The bed was unmade and the closet door was open. There was a dress on the floor. Alex must clean every time Abbie came over.
“Here,” Alex said, handing her a faded sweatshirt and a pair of jersey shorts. She changed into the same ensemble. Abbie thought she shouldn’t have been surprised that Alex didn’t always sleep in satin, but she was. She was so cute, with her eyes barely open and her hair mussed from the couch. Abbie sat on the side of the bed she usually slept on.
Alex walked up to her and leant slightly down to kiss her lightly with her hand on her cheek. Abbie’s hands touched her hips lightly and Alex leaned into the touch. Abbie pulled her into her lap gently. They’d never kissed like this. Alex pulled back and looked into Abbie’s eyes.
“Thank you,” she said. “I’m sure you expected us to just fuck,” she said with a hint of flirtatiousness, “But that was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I probably haven’t been eating enough.”
“Anytime, Alex,” Abbie said, and she meant it. “I remember my first year in the office. And I don’t mind”
Alex nodded and tilted her head up. Her voice shook when she said, “I’m so tired all the time.”
“I know how it is,” said Abbie. She hugged Alex and felt her head rest against her shoulder, another thing she’d never done. Alex let out a teary laugh and a sniffle.
“Speaking of,” Alex said, wiping her cheeks. She made her way to her side.
“Thank you,” she said after she got under the covers. Abbie followed suit and Alex turned out the light. She groaned as she set her alarm. Alex rubbed her arm. Her heart was full of sympathy and affection. What a strange evening, she thought, seeing all these sides of this woman she had only known in one way. She liked them all She wondered if Alex would be shy or regretful in the morning, but for now Abbie was only grateful.
Alex reached behind her and grabbed Abbie’s arm, placing it around her stomach. Abbie felt glowy.
This was so different from cold countertops, from pulling and pushing and biting. Abbie liked it even more.
