Eric Bailly 'expected to leave' Man Utd this summer after Erik ten Hag pre-season snub

Eric Bailly 'expected to leave' Man Utd this summer after Erik ten Hag pre-season snub As per Fabrizio Romano, it is expected that Eric Bailly, the defender for Manchester United, will be leaving the club this summer. During the 2022/23 season, Bailly was on loan at Marseille; however, he didn't make enough appearances to activate the option for the French club to purchase him permanently. In January, Bailly received a seven-month ban due to an accidental chest-high kick that resulted in his opponent being hospitalized. Following his return to action the next month, he only started in two Ligue 1 games. Due to a series of injury-plagued seasons at Manchester United, Bailly is among several players who seem likely to depart Old Trafford during the upcoming summer transfer window. Manager Erik ten Hag has shown no hesitation in making tough decisions during the summer transfer window. He allowed goalkeeper David de Gea to leave the club on a free transfer and is also on the verge of letting left-back Alex Telles move to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr. Now, it seems that ten Hag's latest move will probably mark the conclusion of Eric Bailly's tenure at Manchester United. Bailly 'expected to leave Man Utd' Later this month, Manchester United will be heading on a pre-season tour to the United States.  However, Eric Bailly will not be joining the travelling squad. According to Fabrizio Romano's Twitter post, the 29-year-old has been informed that he is not part of Manager Erik ten Hag's plans at Old Trafford and will not be included in the tour roster for the States.  This further supports the likelihood of Bailly's departure from the club. He wrote: "Eric Bailly, not part of Manchester United squad travelling for US tour as he's out of the project and expected to leave. "Alex Telles, out of the list too as he's set to join Al Nassr once documents will be signed." Jonny Evans, the Northern Ireland captain, recently signed a short-term contract with United, but he has also not been included in the pre-season squad. Despite leaving United in 2015, Evans has continued to perform at a high level in the Premier League and had been training at Carrington after his Leicester City contract expired last month. Evans did make his second debut for Manchester United, playing the second half of a 1-0 victory against Lyon at Murrayfield on Tuesday.  However, it remains uncertain whether he will feature in the club's upcoming pre-season friendly against Wrexham in the United States. The absence of Bailly, Telles, and Evans from the pre-season preparations indicates that their futures with the club may be uncertain. With the pauses coming into play today I wonder if anything helpful can get to the hospital, but at the same time I don't see the point when it's going to be attacked again and again, it's like trying to stitch a wound while the patient is being stared at by the person who stabbed them and is waiting to do it again after Approved Breaks
