don't know if you've talked about this before but if nazeri is a Muslim and mc is an Atheist, is that something that could ever cause problems in their relationship? do you think any characters could have some type of strain in their relationship when one believes in a god/s and their partner doesn't? I've seen a lot of problems with this stuff in real life especially when it's a christian/atheist relationship because the religious person will get stressed and feel like they need to "save" their partner by converting them or else they'll go to hell, so from what I've seen a lot of those relationships break up in real life. I was curious on how similar/different it would be with your characters and the mc. How well do they deal with the differences I guess.
Btw I was not trying to be disrespectful with this question at all, and if it made you uncomfortable, I'm really sorry.
It doesn't particularly cause a lot of friction? Nazeri is content to stay in their lane when it comes to personal beliefs like religion. Obviously if you have a Gentlemens' Discussion about it, they're going to bring up what makes them happy about being Shi'a, and occasionally they might encourage their partner to attend ṣalāh just to see if they like it or not. Nazeri themself is pretty loosey goosey about their own beliefs, and some of the more religiously inclined consider them. Kind of a "bad" Muslim?? To their dismay.
Religion is a tough subject in a world where monsters exist but you can't tell anybody about them. In a lot of ways, Nazeri is using theirs as a crutch to stay sane. They try not to bother with anyone else.
One area that would grate on Nazeri would be alcohol, especially functional alcoholic Trackers. This has less to do with religion and more to do with the MC's overall health, but they also don't like the stuff in their house.

Surah Al-Qasas English Translation and Transliteration
Surah Al-Qasas is the 28th chapter of the Holy Quran, and it is a beautifully crafted surah that holds great significance in Islam. The name "Al-Qasas" translates to "The Narrations", which refers to the numerous stories mentioned in this surah.
This surah is divided into 88 verses and was revealed in Mecca during the early stages of Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) prophethood. It is believed that this surah was revealed as a response to the disbelievers who challenged Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to bring forth miracles from Allah.
1. Purpose and Themes of Surah Al-Qasas:
The primary purpose of this surah is to provide guidance and strengthen the faith of believers by narrating stories from past prophets and their struggles against disbelief and oppression. It also serves as a reminder for mankind about the consequences of rejecting faith in Allah.
One of the main themes of Surah Al-Qasas is Tawheed (oneness of Allah). It emphasizes on how all prophets, including Moses, Abraham, Joseph, and others, preached tawheed among their people despite facing challenges and persecution.
Another important theme is taqwa (God-consciousness), which is repeatedly mentioned throughout the surah. The story of Prophet Moses serves as an example for believers to have trust in Allah's plans even when faced with difficulties.

Surah Ikhlas and Surah Al-kafirun are sometimes together known as " Ikhlaseen "
( meaning two surah of sincerity)
Prophet pbuh recited Surah al-Kafirun and Surah al-Ikhlas in the two rakats (units) of Prayer before the obligatory Prayers of Fajr (Morning) Prayers, and in the two units of Prayer following the obligatory Prayers of Maghrib (Evening) Prayers, and that these two surahs were called the purity of faith.
So u should also do accordingly in your prayers ( i.e reading Surah Ikhlas and Surah Kafirun).
Surat al-Ikhlas is equivalent to one-third of the Quran. Al-Bukhari (6643 )

Why do I prefer to say Secularism rather than Laicism?
The word Laicism comes from the French word "Laïcité" and means "Laicism" or "Secularism" in French.
The word secularism comes from English.
“Laicism” and “Secularism” are synonyms for each other.
So why do I say "secularism" and not "laicism"? Let me explain, because the laicism in Turkey has been implemented incorrectly;
1. "Religion does not interfere with the state, but the state interferes with religion." Example; On March 3, 1924, the Presidency of Religious Affairs was established and religion came completely under State control. Only works about the Maturidi school of the Hanafi branch of the Sunni sect are written to the public. This is completely against Secularism because in Secularism "Religion does not interfere with politics and politics does not interfere with religion." There is a principle. However, this was applied incorrectly in Turkey.
2. "The Sunni-Hanafi-Maturidi sect of the Islamic religion is the most correct sect and the others are perversion." This is also a wrong understanding because in the Holy Quran, no sect has any superiority over another sect, nor does any religion have superiority over another religion. In the Quran, there is only one source of the Islamic religion and that is Islam itself. "Those who split their religion into pieces and become groups, you have nothing to do with them. Their matter is up to Allah, then He (Allah) will inform them of what they did." Surah An'am Verse 159
3. "All religious texts and worship must be in Turkish." Writing the Turkish translations of a valuable book like the Holy Quran is a great service, but it is not wise to deny a rich language like Kurdish. If there is Turkish, there should be also Kurdish.
4. "All the people living in the Republic of Türkiye are Hanafi." It's definitely a wrong concept. 50% of the Republic of Türkiye is Hanafi and 50% is Shafi'i. Most of those who belong to the Hanafi sect are Turks, and most of those who belong to the Shafi'i sect are Kurds. "All the people living in the Republic of Türkiye are Muslims." No, 75% Muslim, 0.4% Christian and %? There are Jews, Zoroastrians, Atheists, Deists, Yazidis and other people.
5. "People who belong to the Islamic religion have the right to establish associations. (1950) No religion has the right to establish associations and institutions in any way. (1924)" Yes, people who belong to the Islamic religion have the right to establish associations and foundations after 1950, but people who belong to another religion does not have the right to establish associations and foundations. A member of the public does not have the right to do this. What kind of secularism is this! In American-style Secularism, "persons of any religion have the right to establish associations and foundations." For example; There are Muslim foundations, Christian foundations, Jewish foundations, Atheist foundations, Buddhist foundations and Hindu foundations in the USA. In other words, every religion has associations and foundations in the USA. This is freedom of belief.
6. "Alawite cemevis cannot become temples." This is against secularism, regardless of faith or religion. The place where each individual fulfills his worship and religious duties is called a temple. For example; If a Muslim has a Mosque, a Christian has a Church, a Jew has a Synagogue, a Zoroastrian has a Fireplace, or every religion has a temple. In other words, no matter who prays in which temple, it doesn't matter to us! "1. Say: "O unbelievers!" 2. "I will not serve what you serve." 3. "And you will not serve what I serve." 4. "I will not serve what you serve." 5. " You will not serve what I serve." 6. "Your religion is for you, and my religion is for me." Surah al-Kafirun is an example of this!
7. "When it comes to Muslims, there is freedom, when it comes to Alevis, there is oppression." The more free the Muslim, the more free the Alevi should be.
8. "It is mandatory for all citizens to attend compulsory religion classes." No. Why. A Christian, a Jew, an Alevi, a Zoroastrian, a Yazidi or a person belonging to any other religion does not want this. "La ikrahe fid din." do not forget it!
9. "Islamic religious holidays are celebrated, but religious holidays of other religions are not celebrated." Example; Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and other holidays, but when Christians and people of other religions want to celebrate their own holidays, the state intervenes.
10. This is why I use the word Secularism and not the word Laicism.

“Bagimu agamamu, bagiku agamaku.” (Al-Kafirun: 6).

Solat tarawih malam ke-29 pun dimulai.
Sang Imam membaca Al-Fatihah. Baru ayat pertama, tiba-tiba ia menangis sesenggukan.
Surat berikutnya, sang imam membaca Al-Kafirun.
Aku benar-benar menangis mengamini setiap doanya.
Seusai solat, hatiku merasa lega. Lega sekali.
Usai bubar tarawih, para jamaah banyak menyalami sang imam. Beberapa bercakap ria dan mengucap terima kasih.
Aku turut mengantre di barisan. Ikut bersalaman.
Kuucapkan “Jazakallah dor being beautiful imam. This is the best Ramadan I’ve ever experience.”
Ia menjawab “May Allah hive you better Ramadan in the future,” lalu kuaminkan dengan lirih.
Alhamdulillah.
Lalu, banyak hal baik pula datang.

Completing Tawaf
Upon completing the Tawaf, the Prophet ﷺ kissed the Hajar al-Aswad.
When the Prophet ﷺ completed the Tawaf he kissed the Hajar before putting his hands upon it and wiping his face with them.
Upon completion , the Prophet ﷺ walked towards Maqam Ibrahim, which was adjacent to the eastern wall of the Kaaba. He recited the following verse aloud so that people would be able to hear:
وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى
Wattakhidhu Mim Maqami Ibrahima Musalla.
And take the Maqam Ibrahim as a place of Salah.
[Surah al-Baqarah, 2:125]
Standing between Maqam Ibrahim and the Kaaba, the Prophet ﷺ carried out a Salah consisting of two Rakats, reciting Surah al-Kafirun (Surah 109) in the first Rakat and Surah al-Ikhlas (Surah 112) in the second Rakat.23
He then returned to the Hajar al-Aswad and kissed it, before wiping it with his hands and passing them over his face.
Muslim, Hadith No. 1218 & 1268; Ahmad, Hadith No. 15243; Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith No. 2713.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Tawbah Ayah 32-33
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
9:32 They want to extinguish Allah's Light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate (it).
9:33 It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, to make it superior over all religions even though the idolators hate (it).
People of the Scriptures try to extinguish the Light of Islam
Allah says,
They (the disbelieving idolators and People of the Scriptures) want to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths,
They try through argument and lies to extinguish the guidance and religion of truth that the Messenger of Allah was sent with.
Their example is the example of he who wants to extinguish the light of the sun or the moon by blowing at them! Indeed, such a person will never accomplish what he sought. Likewise, the light of what the Messenger was sent with will certainly shine and spread.
Allah replied to the idolators' desire and hope,
but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers (Kafirun) hate (it).
Linguistically a Kafir is the person who covers something.
For instance, night is called Kafiran (covering) because it covers things (with darkness).
The farmer is called Kafiran, because he covers seeds in the ground.
Allah said in an Ayah,
thereof the growth is pleasing to the (Kuffar) tillers. (57:20)
Islam is the Religion That will dominate over all Other Religions
Allah said next,
It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth.
`Guidance' refers to the true narrations, beneficial faith and true religion that the Messenger came with.
`religion of truth' refers to the righteous, legal deeds that bring about benefit in this life and the Hereafter.
to make it (Islam) superior over all religions, even though the idolators hate (it).
It is recorded in the Sahih that the Messenger of Allah said,
Allah made the eastern and western parts of the earth draw near for me (to see), and the rule of my Ummah will extend as far as I saw.
Imam Ahmad recorded from Tamim Ad-Dari that he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah saying,
This matter (Islam) will keep spreading as far as the night and day reach, until Allah will not leave a house made of mud or hair, but will make this religion enter it, while bringing might to a mighty person (a Muslim) and humiliation to a disgraced person (who rejects Islam). Might with which Allah elevates Islam (and its people) and disgrace with which Allah humiliates disbelief (and its people).
Tamim Ad-Dari (who was a Christian before Islam) used to say,
"I have come to know the meaning of this Hadith in my own people.
Those who became Muslims among them acquired goodness, honor and might.
Disgrace, humiliation and Jizyah befell those who remained disbelievers.''
