in light of that post from earlier saying that we need to embrace problematic female characters and treat them equally to problematic male characters... it reminded me of akua lol

akua is the eldest daughter of shuzen issa, the most politically influential vampire in japan. she actually was born and raised in a small village in china (away from the shuzen family). when she was a child, she had another vampire as a friend but this other girl was too trusting of humans and was thus killed by them, causing akua to reject humanity.

at some point after that she rejoined the main shuzen family and became an assassin of unparalleled prowess, known as the "jet black devil" and one of the strongest vampires living. a master of sorcery and martial arts, she has a soft spot for her younger sister moka who reminds her of her old dead friend.

in terms of rosavamp characters i def talk about mizore more now, but akua was always my fav as a kid. she's just that meme of making the death of your gay crush everyone else's problem.

daaaang its been so long since I've seen someone name rosario vampire like i dont remember much about it myself but i do have this vivid image of some fighting scenes i thought were really cool

this may be a little triggering or spoilerish but like that one scan where akua just up and slices a bunch of men bare handed and sticks her fingers through someone's head?? for little me that was dope (adult me still thinks it pretty neat lmao)

oh and the girls (+ their mothers 😳) were really cute, I wonder who were your favs? i guess i esp liked ruby and moka

DISCOTHEQUE BY NANA MIZUKI!!!! i love nana mizuki so much she sings the op/ends for the anime and she voiced moka <333 (dancing in the red velvet moon remains a banger. listened to it yesterday.)

honestly the anime does not do the manga justice at all like it becomes a legitimate battle shonen starting from season 2 of the manga and i don't think the anime animated that? i don't remember much but i think they only animated the school arc which is a shame bc not only are do the battles go hard the manga art gets really really good + the plot involving the entire shuzen family as the final arc is so memorable. i rlly enjoyed it. also it helps very much that all the women and outfits go really really hard like ikeda kinda popped off with all those dresses and corsets!!!!!!

i LOVE RUBY. definitely my second fav after moka. moka's sisters are really hot though. special shout out to kahlua!!!!

Gender: Female

General Appearance: Being a dhampir, she’s not quite as sickly pale as Enoch, but she still is very light skinned.  Her eyes are a russet color - more of a vibrant brown than her mother’s, and warmer tone alluding to her father’s. She’s on the shorter side, just shy of five feet.

Personality: She is more... subdued than Cherry, but much more open than Enoch. She’s honest and open and despite how quiet she can be, she’s fairly nosy. She’s be of those people who are shy at first, but once you get to know them, they’ll tell you all kinds of things you wish you never knew. Like frog reproductive facts. 

Special Talents: Enhanced strength and speed makes her a truly formidable soccer player. 

Who they like better: Highkey? Cherry. Clementine is very in tuned with people’s emotions and when she looks at Enoch... there’s just nothing there. He’s cold. She finds it disturbing. 

Who they take after more: Cherry, personality-wise. Physically Enoch. 

Personal Head canon: Unlike her parents, the travelling life? It ain’t for her. Once she’s old enough to be on her own, she stays in one place unless she absolutely has to leave.
