Javed Khan Amrohi was born on 24 March 1949 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was 73 when he passed away. Talking about his educational qualification, he has done his basic qualification from a local school in Mumbai and after that, he has done his higher education at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Javed Khan did his graduation from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Javed Khan Amrohi developed his interest in acting and after graduation, he made his film debut with Jalte Badan (1973) in a supporting role and went on to appear in several films such as Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Woh 7 Din, Tridev, and Aashiqui.  He has done more than 71 movies in his career like Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), and Chak De! India (2007) Chandu, Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985) as Manglu, Ek Ladka Ek Ladki (1992) as a police constable, Phir Hera Pheri (2006) as havaldar, and Dhoom Dadakka (2008). He has appeared in the TV series Ghar Jamai (1997) as a hotel receptionist, Nukkad (1986) as Karim Hajam, Powder (2010) as lawyer Siddiqui, Vishnu Purana (2000) as sage Vishwamitra and Shaktimaan (1998) as a thief.  His TV series titled "Nukkad" received a critical response from the public and was aired on Doordarshan and earned him appreciation from big directors and his fans. Javed Khan was a theater personality and he worked so much in the industry that people wanted to work with him but after doing so much cinema he decided to quit and after that, he started teaching theater to the youth. Zee TV and Zee Institute of Media Arts have decided to take him as a member of the acting faculty in Mumbai.

Veer-Zaara is a 2004 romantic drama film directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra with his son Aditya Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta as the eponymous star-crossed lovers; Veer is an Indian Air Force pilot and Zaara is a Pakistani woman hailing from a rich political family of Lahore. When Veer learns Zaara loves him, he quits his job to go to Pakistan, where he is imprisoned on false charges. Years later, a young Pakistani lawyer played by Rani Mukerji finds Veer in prison and upon listening to his story, tries to free him. Actors often end up denying roles due to various reasons. However, at times, destiny plays a major role in their career.

Akhilendra Mishra, who played the role of Ravana in Anand Sagar’s Ramayan had one such experience.

Sharing details of denying the show ‘Ramayan’ for the first time, Akhilendra Mishra says, “I was shooting for Delhi 6, Drona and Chamku simultaneously and during that time I got a call to play the role of Ravana in Anand Sagar’s Ramayan. But, since my dates were clashing, I told them I won’t be able to play the role. However, they told me that my track was later, yet, I denied it at that time. Later I got a call from the channel saying that they wanted me to play Ravana and asked for my time to set up a meeting. Later, Anand Sagar ji also called to set up a meeting. Normally these meetings last for an hour at the max, but mine went on for 4 hours.”

Talking about the support he received from the makers of Ramayan, Akhilendra further said, “Anand ji was extremely keen on having me as Ravana in his Ramayan. Since the shoot was in Baroda and considering my other on-going projects, he assured me that my dates would be taken care of.”

Anand Sagar’s Ramayan is entertaining million viewers once again.
