She's got like. Negative natural rizz and kept trying to flirt and it was so fucking painful. Stuff like "aha, wow nice weather. Kinda. Kinda like you"

Akira and Ren just had to watch their mom be cringefail and. Somehow she still got a date. And married. Damn.

Their first date is dinner at a pretty low-key neighborhood pub, and. Makoto was convinced it would be just a nervous first date but her sister insisted on watching the boys, taking them for Aunt Night

Makoto wears her nicest buttonup, charcoal, with black pants and a navy tie. She's embarrassed that she has to take her date on the bus, but Haru, in her lovely summer dress and pulled up hair, she uses it as an excuse to tuck right into her side

Haru is batting her eyelashes throughout the dinner, practically playing footsie under the table. The wait staff are confused cause. One of them heard Makoto ask Haru what her favourite flavor of cream cheese was. And then talk about why her favourite was garlic chive

You see anything could've happened on that date and Haru still would have intended to spend the night with Makoto. She's been down bad from the start too, so down bad she pushed herself through a very awkward encounter with her own daughter, trying to explain why she wasn't going to come home that evening

Haru: you'll be fine on your own tonight, right? I don't need to call your grandpa?

Kotone: mama? Aren't you just going on a date with that library lady? Why wouldn't you come home?

Haru: well. You see.

Kotone: ...YOURE GONNA DO THAT ON THE FIRST DATE?! MAMA?!

Haru decides, much later, so much so that it's nearly morning, that the result was worth that conversation.

Tae and Sae both adore Haru, and spoil Kotone as much as they do the twins. They're the dual income lesbian aunts bringing the gift reckoning. They're adored

Okay some more focus on the kids once they're more grown cause. I have stuff for them too

Kotone, of course, mega gay, in love with both Yukari and Mitsuru. Mitsuru confesses to both when she graduates, a year ahead of them. She says it's clear there's something between all three of them but with her leaving, that at least Yukari and Kotone should try. And if either still has a splinter of feelings for her by the next year, to join her at uni

She gets showered in kisses before she leaves, of course. As of either would ever lose interest in her, of all people. Mitsuru and Akihiko room together and it's very much Lesbian and Gay Man existing in barely functioning shared space

I hc that Mitsuru likes to physically separate her work from her relaxation. Aka she just. Strips when she gets home from class. Lounges in a bra and panties. Akihiko hates it.

Her next set of roommates. Are much more appreciative

Kotone and Yukari spend the year getting closer. They don't call it dating, wouldn't be right without their third. But. They kiss, and when they have sleepovers they share the bed, waking up cuddled together. But it's not datinf, they're not dating

Until they both move in with Mitsuru. All three, at uni together, in one apartment. Yukari is the big cuddler. Always starting contact randomly. Mitsuru is. For lack of a better term the horniest of the three, and Kotone. Is so full of love

Though it is a lot when she's curled up with Yukari and Mitsuru just starts. Kissing her neck all sensual

TIME FOR THE BOYS

So Ren as a teen is pretty quiet, calm. His ADHD meds get lowered, just a little. He's athletic, enjoys gymnastics actually. He's besties with Kasumi and Sumire, and he has a thing for track champ Ryuji. Ren's also really open with his feelings. So within a week Ryuji is his boyfriend

Ren also has glasses. He doesn't need them. It just keeps him from being confused for Akira

And. Well. Akira. Never lost his trouble maker genes, he's besties with Futaba and has the crafty mind of someone who always knows a little too much. He has a fact about everything, and his meds are at the max. He's reached the legal limit. Impulse control is not his strong suit

He's on debate team, and every week he has a battle of wits with Goro. Everyone else knows they're in love but them. Long story short, right after their final debate they end up in a closet making out. Nearly more but they get discovered

Makoto and Haru don't end up having a kid of "their own". They dont

Shuake Inaba Story

So, i got this idea for a fanfic that I’ll write someday soon, but basically, Akira’s hometown was Inaba and Goro was sent there while he recovers under the protection of the anti-shadows unit

Details

After a few days in rehabilitation, Goro got a visit, at first he thougth Akira had found him, but it actually was Mitsuru Kirijo, who explained the situation to him and gave him the oportunity to pay for his crimes and use his power for the good, he agreed at last

Now, he’s had problems with the control of his personas, which Mitsuru explained is because of his bad mental health, after all that’s part of what personas are. And as such, she sent him to recover in the most peaceful place she knows, yakushima

But later she realized that it would be easier to keep him in check at inaba, so she sent him there, on the way they talked for a bit and he mentioned “not having a proper highschool experience” he said more as a joke, but she related to ir, so she made an excuse with a tricked test to sent him back to last year to have one

Goro is staying at the Shirogane’s residence, it was Naoto’s idea so there wouldn’t be problems about security and keeping him in check with going to school and to the therapyst sesions. Goro was more excited than he will admit about meeting the “original detective prince”

Mitsuru had thought there wouldn’t be problem about Goro getting recognized because after all, no one comes and goes of Inaba that often, but she learned a little bit too late that Inaba was actually the hometown of the lider of the phantom thieves, she doesn’t do anything about it because it looks like Goro cares for him, so Mitsuru figures that it’ll be good for him to have someone he knows around, she didn’t tell Akechi tho

Akira was texting Ann on the way home, and she only then discovered that he was from there, the thing is that she and Shiho are also staying in inaba, so she was almost killing him for not telling her sooner

Akira barely survived the travel home because all the time after that Morgana was lecturing hm, but he didn’t think he was that tired until at his arrival he saw Goro Akechi, just standing there, searching for a machine that could have coffee. He was just there, breathing, standing still, and trash talking the vending machines for not having any coffee

He dropped his things without thinking about the cat in his bag and ran to him, and only then Goro saw him, but he couldn’t quite process it before being held into a hug, and also getting slaped in the face while Akira tried his best to say a million things in one second, like if it was the only one they had

When he finally calmed down, they talked for a bit, and after that they walked home side by side, and Akira wanted to say the one thing he had wanted to say for so long, but then, then his words just didn’t come out, at least not ones that Goro could understand, Akira then internally cursed his expression level habilities

Akira thougth it was already a long enough day, and he did not expect again another shock to his already too tired brain, after all not every day you have to convince your dad to not call on the police to report a found missing person, who just happens to be your crush rival, after all Akira’s dad is still a Policeman

Akira and Goro sit together in class, and both usually fell sleep because they get really bored, Morgana does not aprove this sleeping schedule

Goro wears a black long sleeved sweater that Akira had gifted him back in 3rd semester, also his hair is in a ponytail because he hasn’t got the time to cut it

Akira wears a turtleneck under the uniform because he got too used to it

Ann was vey unsure on how to react, but Akira talked with her before she saw Goro, they agreed on her “giving him a chance” and not telling the others yet (Futaba was spying on them tho)

Goro does social service at noons, he’s a free tutor, that’s how he met shiho, becuase she needed the help after basically skiping a whole year, and thanks to that Ann warmed up to him

Morgana is feeling really uneasy about the tv in Akira’s bedroom, he can’t quite explain why, he just does not like it and always warns him to not get to close to it

Morgana has been teasing Goro about his feelings for Akira ever since they got to talk about the engine room, it started as Goro asking if he knew why he was alive and ended in Akechi yelling at a cat that he was definitely not in love with his most importan person rival

Akechi / Amamiya Tsubaki, the child of Akechi Goro and Amamiya Ren. Tsubaki is a generally quiet yet loving child. Her energetic self often reserved for her parents and those who befriend her, and because of that not many people realize there's more to her than a sweet quiet girl. I just finished Royal and I've been really enjoying the swap au, and your take on the characters!

You said you had lots of thoughts about Yusuke too? 👀

WE REALLY ARE TAKING TURNS WITH CHARACTER ANALYSIS i should just make it a tag at this point. ykw im gonna do that.

okay, onto yusuke:

I adore him. completely and utterly. he’s my favorite boy apart from akeshu and for WILDLY obvious reasons: he’s fun, SUCH a character, and his story arc feels whimsy but not so out there that it feels unrealistic. adding onto the fact that i’m an artist myself, gunning to go pro, and he’s so relatable it hurts. straps yusuke onto the operating table let’s do this

1) his struggles relating to madarame

one thing that i’ll say right off the bat is that i HATE how the pts approached him. its nonsensical. even if ryuji and ann aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed how the hell did they think that approaching a stranger and saying “YOU’RE BEING ABUSED WE CAN HELP YOU FIGHT YOUR ABUSER” was going to turn out well in any way possible?? the writing suffers from something similar during ryuji’s run with akiren to question the volleyball team members. ryuji and ann, as dull as they may be, are abuse victims themselves; surely they’d understand why abuse victims would be hesitant to say anything? especially when a stranger gets all up in your face about it.

but apart from that: i love how yusuke dealt with all of it. i’m not saying that him becoming defensive over madarame was a good thing, but in terms of realism, it just Makes Sense. children raised by abusive guardians often aren’t aware how they’re taken advantage of, and when they’re as isolated from society as yusuke is, their obvious first instinct is to defend those who raised them. it’s like rapunzel about mother gothel from disney’s tangled. of course yusuke defended madarame’s ‘love’; he never knew what love was.

it isn’t even only that. yusuke and madarame are both branded as very traditionally japanese, from how they speak to how they dress. it’s even shown in their primary art medium—traditional painting and japanese oil work. i’m not japanese, but i am korean, and if there’s anything i’ve learned while growing up in a traditional asian household: it’s very suffocating. the filial piety you learn from high school history class isn’t just a far-off tradition in the old ages, it’s EXTREMELY prevalent even today. i can’t even count the amount of times i was put down or chastised for simply speaking out of turn, and that was with my parents trying to adapt to the american standards of respect.

in this context, it makes even more sense for yusuke to defend madarame so vehemently. it’s literally been ingrained into him growing up. the entire “parents are right, children are wrong” mentality is SO strong with the Growing Up Asian experience, and that’s coming from a korean-american. i can’t even imagine the kind of shit yusuke’s had to go through.

and it’s with all that that i find it so cathartic and admirable that yusuke finally managed to recognize madarame for the shitbag he is. genuinely, the amount of brainwashing he’d been forced through should have made it impossible for him to fight back, but my boy did it—and in the most stylish way possible, might i add!!! he stuck it to madarame and finally recognized his own worth. that’s incredible. i’m so proud of him.

but what makes all that even BETTER is his CONFIDANT STORY, and OH MY GOD I’M NEVER SHUTTING UP ABOUT HOW AMAZING IT IS MOVING ON TO POINT TWO

2. HIS CONFIDANT STORY OHHHH MY GOD

one of the biggest opinions ive heard about yusuke’s confidant story is that it doesn’t make sense or that it’s in his own head. SLAMS ATTORNEY DESK. OBJECTION YOUR HONOR ITS TIME FOR THE CROSS EXAMINATION

of COURSE it’s all in his own head. his confidant begins after madarame’s arrested and he finally, finally gets to be his own person and live on his own. the physical threat is gone!! but one of the most amazing things about his story arc is the depiction that childhood trauma never truly goes away. madarame being gone for good doesn’t automatically mean that yusuke’s mentally safe and sound. in fact, it fucks with him even more that he’s free—he doesn’t know how to live on his own, or how to make art for himself.

he’s literally lived his entire life for someone else; how can you expect him to suddenly go out and do whatever he wants? until this point in time, yusuke’s wants didn’t matter. he didn’t matter. the only important thing to him was pumping out art for madarame to display at his next show JUST TO SURVIVE. to EAT. i’m gonna get into his whole thing with eating in a second but i’m just putting that out there: it’s all in his own head because it has to be. he has to grow mentally in order for him to to do anything.

with that point out of the way: yusuke doesn’t forgive madarame for what he’s done, especially with his mother, but he also just has no idea what to feel about him in general? there’s two clashing images: one, of the teacher who (in yusuke’s view) loved and raised him, and one, of the monster who let his mother die in cold blood to get his hands on her personal artwork. and you might say “oh well yusuke’s being delusional again because madarame never truly loved him.” no. it isn’t delusion. it’s how yusuke’s been raised. he didn’t recognize madarame’s abuse because he never registered it as abuse. he was never taught that it was abuse. unlike shiho and ann who knew that what kamoshida was doing was wrong, yusuke never had anyone to tell him that madarame was taking advantage of him.

yusuke didn’t have anyone.

throughout his confidant story, he agonizes over his purpose for creating art at all—it makes sense, as his only purpose thus far was to put food on the table and to avoid verbal abuse from his father figure. yes, he said that his only purpose for creating art in the past was because he wished to put beauty in the world like his mother did with sayuri, but is that really all there was to it? i don’t think so. yusuke created art to survive, and coped with it by staring at his “sensei”’s magnum opus and telling himself that he was creating things for the sake of creation, not to give in to his survivalist instinct. it was a coping mechanism. i’ll live and die by this.

and this is also why he crumbles so much over that art director coming to him to monetize his work. he’s now aware that what he was striving for in the past was fake. he wants to truly pursue that goal again, to create something beautiful just for the sake of creating, but now he’s been thrust into the real world—one of capitalism, one where corruption thrives. the pure art he wants to make just doesn’t exist here. it never did. and that realization destroys him.

now if you Didn’t Know, i’m also an artist. i’m literally the same age as yusuke is (if not a little older), and that truth hurts. the fact that i have to make art in order to feed and clothe and keep myself warm hurts. there’s nothing i’d like better than to just make things i want to make, but i can’t, not in this world. his struggle is so realistic, and it rings so deep. every time i experience his story it always leaves me feeling bittersweet.

but then!!! at the end of his story!!!! he comes to a very important realization.

all of that’s okay.

it’s okay to profit off of your work. it’s okay to make things other people like. it doesn’t make you any less of a person to seek compensation for your work. it’s doesn’t make you any less of a human to seek praise for the amazing things you create. it’s okay.

and to the non-artists out there who might not understand why this is such a groundbreaking revelation: artists are constantly being put down in this capitalistic society. art is literally everywhere you look—it’s in the buildings you occupy, in the subways you ride, in the words you read, in the shows you consume. art is one of the cornerstones for what makes humans human, and those who create such beautiful things are never given credit.

just look at the ai discourse happening recently. look at how artists are treated when they stress about having art stolen or watermarks erased. to people like us, our creations are proof of us being alive. it’s our living mark on the world, one that will remain (physically or digitally) long after we ourselves pass away. but we’re constantly, constantly told that “it’s not that deep”, “you’re being selfish”, yadda yadda yadda. we’re shit on simply because we want to survive in this hellish fucking world. and that builds up.

so many aspiring artists out there give up too soon because of this. because art isn’t profitable, because we have to survive, because no one appreciates what you do no matter how beautiful it is or how much work you put in.

but then, persona 5 finally turned around, and told an entire generation of aspiring artists that their work was important. you are important. it’s okay to profit off of what you do.

that’s fucking incredible. it’s also a really, REALLY low bar, but it’s something. yusuke coming to the realization that creating art for himself is okay, whether it be for monetization or praise, was so cathartic to me. i’m sure other artists feel the same way.

his story arc is a fucking fantastic depiction of how much artists suffer, no matter what medium or era.

…….. and then people turn around and shit on it because they don’t understand its intricacies. as expected.

sigh.

3. the theme of going hungry

throughout the entirety of the game, yusuke’s depicted as the quintessential ‘starving artist’. he’s always hungry, and never knows how to budget his money, and that shit’s hilarious but also really, really fucking sad.

i remember reading a fantastic yusuke study on ao3 a couple years back—forgot who the author was, but it’s called “the emperor”—and it said something along the lines of this: “you have to eat in order to starve.”

like.

oh my GOD.

and it plays in so terrifically with the experience of creating art, as well. you have to eat in order to starve; you have to taste in order to crave. you have to experience praise in order to want it more. i’ve gone through dry spells where no one saw what i made, and it only made me go hungry for that appreciation again—and then i get it, just a little taste of it. i keep making content. i keep on going and going and going just to get the smallest bit of acknowledgement.

for those who’ve ever gone hungry before: would you be able to turn down a feast, if offered? would you be able to pace yourself, or would you inhale it quick as you can? if you’ve ever eaten a large meal after being hungry for a day or two, you’d know that it would immediately come back to bite you in the ass. you’d stop eating for a bit, you’d get hungry again, and then you’d scarf down another gigantic meal, rinse and repeat.

the correct choice here is to moderate yourself. take it slow. eat enough to be full, and pace yourself so that you won’t have to go horribly hungry to eat again.

yusuke, starved for appreciation, suddenly finds himself with the offer of his life. he’ll be sponsored by one of the most influential art directors in all of japan. he’ll be successful; he’ll have a scholarship, he’ll never, ever have to go hungry again—

and then he turns it down.

because this entire time, the hunger allegory was about success. you get the opportunity of a lifetime, and you invest everything you have into it—you eat and you eat and you eat until you can’t anymore, and then you find that that the satisfaction of finally feeling full has long since gone, and now you’re hungry again. you’re still a nobody. no one remembers your one-off success.

yusuke refuses the incredible offer, and decides to build his success slowly. he won’t take it all in stride. he’ll pace himself until he doesn’t have to be starving to eat.

that’s FUCKING brilliant.

i have so much more to say about yusuke than just this—how i feel about him (being, in my opinion, incredibly autistic-coded) as an artist with adhd, how his behavior is treated by the phantom thieves, how he plays into the phantom thieves as the sole creative mind of the group—but if i get into all that i’ll literally be typing on my ipad forever. i’ve already been sitting here for thirty minutes instead of finishing up chapter 5 of ex machina. oh god i love yusuke so much.

DadGoro Navigator Quotes Help

5/2: update: replaced some paragraphs with the originals in my Google Doc, Including some example quotes I came up with

originally I had a concept I was going to post about "Teen Akeshu Daughter from the future gets sent to the past during P5R", but I got preoccupied.

She tries to play matchmaker to get Akiren and Akechi on the right path. But she also can't risk revealing who she is, Akechi and Akiren don't know what to think of her. To them, she comes across as an unhinged Akechi fan that ships him with the Phantom Thief Leader for some reason, and is from the future, and looks like a mix of both of them if they squint real hard.

Akechi especially finds her irritating, and finds her very selective sharing of who she is very suspicious, and isn't buying her surname being “Akagi”. His detective senses are ringing like sirens that “🚨 THIS FUTURISTIC BITCH IS SUSPICIOUS AS FUCK! SHE’S CLEARLY NOT BEING TRUTHFUL IN THE SLIGHTEST, DO NOT TRUST, ALSO HIGHLY ANNOYING AND EVASIVE, MUST KEEP WATCH OF SUSPICIOUS TEENAGER! 🚨

So when Komari joins the Phantom Thieves in battle, and the rare instance where Akechi briefly takes over as Navigator, he especially makes his irritation of her known and just how much he doesn't give a shit what happens to her in battle.

("Akagi" is her "undercover" surname)

“Akagi-san’s health is down. Heal her I guess~”

“What a tragedy, Akagi-san has perished.”

“Oh, Akagi-san is fully healed and ready to continue to grace us with her presence~”

“Akagi-san has been incapacitated. Can't say I'm surprised.”

But once he finds out she's his future daughter—-

Granted,the fact that he’s destined to eventually have intercourse that leads to knocking up his rival is—-alot to take in—-. but this is his daughter. His future flesh and blood, he—oh he feels like such a piece of shit 🤦. Curse his trust issues and natural skepticism, he was a fucking dick, how is he going to fix this?

The “Daughter Reveal” makes him take a 180 in his behavior towards her. Something just clicks and “Fuck this annoying suspicious little shit.” Turns into “I've only known Komari for a couple of months, but if anything were to happen to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.” With zero warning.

Protective Dad Akechi has awakened!

Komari becomes number 1 priority in battle, and he’ll freak out if she gets injured or inflicted with an ailment. He demands Joker to immediately help her like the whole world will implode in on itself if he doesn't. Other teammates or enemy strengths and weaknesses be damned, Komari is important.

and this shows especially in battle.

The first time Komari gets severely injured in battle, Akechi practically teleports to her side and catches her in his arms. “JOKER, YOU BETTER HAVE A FULL HEAL ITEM ON HAND, USE ONE OF THOSE WEIRD DRUGS FROM TAKEMI-SENSEI YOU BOUGHT, HURRY! YOU'RE NOT LOOKING FAST ENOUGH YOU ONLY HAVE TWO POCKETS IN THAT COAT, HOW COULD YOU MISPLACE IT?! In the scenario where Komari and another party member is low on health, Akechi ignores them.

Ryuji speaks up faintly “Uh, hey. Hate to interrupt your guys' very understandable panic–but any chance you could throw me a full heal too?”

Akechi growls back “Walk it off, Sakamoto-kun, this isn’t about you!”

Just----the complete 180 from:

"Oh, what an absolute tragedy, Akagi-San has died, tip your masks in respect everyone. She will be sorely missed, if only we had a revival on hand~"

To:

"MY BABY!

JOKER, GET THE REVIVAL ITEM, HEAL HER, HURRY HURRY, GET IT OUT FASTER, OUR PRINCESS IS FADING, ARE YOU THIS USELESS WHEN YOUR OTHER TEAMMATES ARE IN NEED OF HEALING?!

when infected with ailment, Akechi and Joker immediately tag team her with the feather fans to bitch slap the ailment away.

Akechi or Joker always perform a followup attack when she's having her turn in battle.

After a successful battle and if Komari's Persona levels up and gains a new ability, the in-game dialogue would be Proud Dad Akechi complimenting and drawing attention to it. Pretty much a more aggressive version of Prince attire Akechi leveling up. “Everyone, look! I gained a new ability. :) “

A couple example dialogues I came up with:

“Hey, everyone pay attention, what, were you all raised in a barn? Mari-chan gained a new ability.”

“JOKER LOOK!---” Physically forces Joker's head to face Komari and her Persona (Even though he was already looking). “MARI GAINED A NEW ABILITY! HER STATS WENT UP AND EVERYTHING, SHE’S GETTING SO STRONG, MAYBE EVEN STRONGER THAN US, WE CREATED SUCH AN UNSTOPPABLE BADASS YOUNG LADY AIIISTRHGHGJFGHSSGNSKJS.”

“I’m already looking.”

“THEN FUCKING SAY SOMETHING, NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE SELECTIVELY MUTE!”

.............

“My future princess is turning more and more into a powerful badass with every new ability 🥲🥹. Ahem I mean—-oh, Komari-chan earned a new skill, ooo, that’s a good one.”

..............

“AHAHA! NOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR ENEMIES QUIVER BEFORE YOU EVEN MORE! MAKE US PROUD.”

Then, a friend mentioned dialogue for other battle actions like Baton Pass and Ailments that I didn't even think of!

So I'm going to have you fellow Akeshu fans participate because I'm having trouble coming up with more Proud Dad Akechi dialogue.

Write some dialogue reactions for Akechi if his and Akiren's daughter was a playable party member.

Expensive Anime Plastic part 2: Two years later

now with 80% less cardboard as risers!

so I've had this as my pinned post for two years now, but it's pretty outdated at this point. my collection has grown a lot in the last two years, and I wanted to show it off! this is my blog and I'll make you look at my plastic toys if I want to >:D

this post is a full tour of my anime figure collection as of June 2024, which basically spans across my whole apartment these days. this is my 11th year in the hobby, so everything you see here was accumulated slowly over that time.

buckle up because this is REALLY long and picture-heavy. (also other collectors can find me on myfigurecollection(dot)net as peofun1, if you'd like~)

Alright, first up, the detolfs in the living room:

Some thoughts: the BNHA shelf will likely get rotated out pretty soon. I fell off the manga pretty hard a while ago, but I do still enjoy these figures... but when my Haikyuu Kotobukiya scales get here (all four of them 😩) I'll probably try to turn that into a Haikyuu shelf. Jirou, Shouto and maybe one Dabi can take the place of the Haikyuu Nendos on the left side

the Katamari Dipp figure is a custom by sixsculpts on instagram! (topshelf on MFC) they reached out to me when I mentioned I'll probably never get my hands on the F4F Dipp figure, and made the Dipp of my dreams for me 🥰 definitely check out their work if you like customs!

last thing -- I know the bottom left shelf is kind of a disaster. Ike and Alphen just REFUSE to play nice together, with the way they both have big capes and swords that stick out and bump things -_- if it helps, we're usually viewing these shelves at an angle from our couch, and Claude in the back is much more visible from there

as a little bonus, here's what one of these shelves USED to look like before I rotated out these figures:

I decided to pack away most of my League of Legends figures after they laid off my wife 😐 (and several good friends 😐) I may bring them back out once I have more room, but they currently live in the closet. and that's fine, for now.

Next up, my desk in the office:

I put away all my random stacks of MTG cards to take these pictures.

most of the figures here are blind box/prize figures that I won't be too sad about if they get dusty or attacked by the cats (though I do use some boxes to block them from the cats when I'm not in the room). the exceptions are the goth angel, who doesn't fit anywhere else, the light-up Futaba figure and the Cintiq girlie, who simply have to live with my computer and Cintiq tablet. themeing!

some of the pins/keychains/prints here are official, but a lot of them are fan-made merch! some of them are bonuses that came with zines I preordered (including the infamous showtime akeshu zine)

also, since you can see a few of them in the top pic, here's those plushies. I have way more plush than this, but these are the ones that currently live on my desk:

Moving on to the bedroom: ❗❗ Warning: this section contains figures that are NSFW ❗❗ I've censored one of them (because her bits are just OUT and I don't wanna to get smited) but there are a few that are ~spicy~ proceed with caution

(I promise we have books that aren't manga, they're just all on a different bookshelf in the living room!) this doubles as our manga shelf, obviously. we got back into collecting physical manga after moving to LA, since it's easy to make a trip to Kinokuniya and pick up new stuff! mixed in are some older volumes I recently rescued from my parents' house. I'm slooooowly trying to complete TRC, but it's hard to find it these days...

anyway this shelf is kind of a mess theme-wise, since they're mostly just figures I don't have room for anywhere else. especially that top shelf, yeesh. 10th anniversary Miku trying to bridge the gap between horny 1/4 scales and live-service game hell.

long-time followers might also spot the sonic screwdriver, which is the same one I'm holding in the very first post I ever made on this website. please don't go looking for that.

I'm hoping to pick up a third display case (probably second hand, since ikea discontinued the detolf >.> ) but in the meantime they're here getting in the way of my manga.

aside from the LoL figures, I have three others not currently on display: one is Magical Mirai Miku 2017, which is in her box because she's broken 😬 her neck peg got messed up one of the times I packed her to move, so I need to fix that sometime. the second is the 1/4 Yakuwa Nazumi designed by WOOMA, which I desperately want to display but she's ENORMOUS so she'll probably have to wait until I get another display case. and the last is another Miku prize figure, because I clearly don't have enough of those lmao

so that's my whole figure collection! it's a constant work-in-progress, because they keep making cool new figures and I am never satisfied :)
