3. Enhanced Data Privacy and Security Measures
Data privacy is set to be in focus, owing to growing consumer awareness and increasing data breaches. Governments and tech companies are expected to implement stringent regulations and develop more sophisticated technologies for data security. Innovations such as decentralized data storage, privacy-preserving AI models, and zero-trust security frameworks will help mitigate risks, ensuring that user data remains private and secure.
4. Edge Computing - Bringing Processing Closer to the Source
While cloud computing has been dominant, edge computing is rapidly gaining popularity. By processing data closer to its source, edge computing enhances real-time data processing and improves efficiency. As industries deploy more IoT devices and 5G becomes ubiquitous, edge computing will enable faster and more reliable digital services.
5. The Rise of Extended Reality (XR)
Extended reality (XR) is set to become a staple of our daily lives. In 2025, expect to see a marked difference in how we interact with digital content. From immersive gaming and virtual meetings to virtual try-ons in retail, it is bound to blur the lines between real and virtual worlds.

Smart contracts and blockchain-based voting systems will enhance transparency and security across industries, making blockchain a critical infrastructure for the digital economy.
10. Human-AI Collaboration - The Rise of Augmented Intelligence
AI is increasingly seen as a tool for augmenting human capabilities rather than replacing humans. Augmented intelligence combines human and artificial intelligence. Expect to see AI-driven tools, and robots working alongside humans in the manufacturing and healthcare sector.
The Road Ahead
Emerging technology will continue to shape our world in unprecedented ways in the coming months. Businesses and individuals who stay ahead of these trends will be well-positioned to leverage new opportunities and navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Embracing innovation while prioritizing ethical considerations and sustainability will be key to thriving in this rapidly evolving landscape.
"The convergence of AI, connectivity, and sustainability will redefine our future. Those who harness these trends responsibly will lead the next wave of growth," states Mr. Prakash Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, Europe, highlighting the importance of embracing these technological shifts.
Sharing his perspective on technology, Mr. Ajay Hinduja, Member of the Hinduja Family added, "The swift progress in technology fills me with optimism. The potential for innovation across industries has never been higher, and I eagerly anticipate how these advancements will continue to transform our world and expand the horizons of what's possible."
The future is bright, and it’s time to get ready for what’s next.

Four members of the UK's richest family are on trial in Switzerland amid allegations they spent more money caring for their dog than their servants.
The Hinduja family, worth an estimated £37bn ($47bn), is accused of exploitation and human trafficking.
The family own a villa in Geneva’s wealthy neighbourhood of Cologny, and the charges against them all relate to their practice of importing servants from India to look after their children and household.
It’s alleged that Prakash and Kamal Hinduja, together with their son Ajay and his wife Namrata, confiscated staff passports, paid them as little as $8 (£7) for 18-hour days, and allowed them little freedom to leave the house.
Although a financial settlement over exploitation was reached last week, the Hindujas remain on trial for trafficking, which is a serious criminal offence in Switzerland. They deny the charges.
This week in court, one of Geneva’s most famous prosecutors, Yves Bertossa, compared the almost $10,000 a year he claimed the family had spent on their dog, to the daily amount they were allegedly paying their servants.
The Hinduja family's lawyers did not specifically deny the allegations of low wages, but said they must be viewed in context - noting that the staff were also receiving accommodation and food.
The charge of long hours was also disputed, with one defence lawyer arguing that watching a film with the Hinduja children could not really be classed as work.
Some former servants testified for the Hindujas, describing them as a friendly family who treated their servants with dignity.
But the allegations that servants’ passports were confiscated, and that they could not even leave the house without permission, are serious, because they could be judged as human trafficking.
Mr Bertossa is calling for prison terms, and millions of dollars in compensation as well as legal fees.
Dark side of Geneva
It is not the first time that Geneva, a hub for international organisations as well as the world’s wealthy, has been in the spotlight over the alleged mistreatment of servants.
In 2008, Hannibal Gaddafi, son of Libya’s former dictator Muammar Gaddafi, was arrested in his five star Geneva hotel by police acting on information that he and his wife had been beating their servants, including with a coat hanger. The case was later dropped.
But it caused a huge diplomatic row between Switzerland and Libya, with two Swiss citizens arrested in Tripoli as a retaliatory measure.
Just last year, four domestic workers from the Philippines launched a case against one of Geneva’s diplomatic missions to the United Nations, claiming they had not been paid for years.
The Hinduja's ongoing, high profile case will draw attention, once again, to the darker, uglier side of the city that likes to call itself "the city of peace".

Imagine you are so extremely rich that you can afford anything!
How stupid do you have to be to put your personal reputation on the line to profit from what exactly?
Power over people or is it really just pathological greed for the save of money?
British billionaire clan on trial for exploitation
They belong to one of the richest families in the UK. But they apparently only had a tip to spare for their domestic workers. Four members of the Hinduja clan are now on trial in Switzerland for exploitation and human trafficking.
The public prosecutor's office accuses them of possibly not always treating their servants appropriately.
The Hinduja family, whose fortune is estimated at around 47 billion dollars, owns a villa in the wealthy town of Cologny in the canton of Geneva.
They apparently recruit their domestic staff mainly in India. According to the public prosecutor's office,
It is said that Prakash and Kamal Hinduja, along with their son Ajay and his wife Namrata, compensated the victims with a mere $8 each for 18-hour days.
Wow 8 ÷ 18 = 0,4444444444
In a nutshell: Minimum wage in SwitzerlandIs there a statutory minimum wage in Switzerland?
No, there is no statutory minimum wage in Switzerland. However, as trade unions have repeatedly called for a Swiss minimum wage, there is now a minimum wage in five cantons: Neuchâtel, Jura, Geneva, Basel-Stadt and Ticino.
How high is the minimum wage in the different cantons?
In Neuchâtel, at least CHF 20.08 must be paid per hour of work. In Jura, the minimum wage is CHF 20 per hour, while in Ticino it has been CHF 19 since 1 January 2021. In Geneva, the hourly pay must be at least 23 francs; 21 francs must be paid as a minimum in Basel-Stadt (expected from 1 July 2022).
Why is there no statutory minimum wage in Switzerland?
There is no question that there are a number of reasons for and against minimum wages. As many Swiss people voted against the introduction of a minimum wage in a referendum, it was ultimately decided not to do so.
Again, in plain language, referendums are not always for the good of all. So it was legally compliant to pay fucking low wages,
it was just morally and ethically reprehensible. Evil world of good people with their morals and ethics, smile.
It is also alleged that they confiscated their passports and restricted their freedom to leave the house.
The family's lawyers partially admitted the allegations, but at the same time tried to relativise them by referring to the free board and lodging.
As far as the financial exploitation is concerned, an agreement has already been reached, reports the BBC.
However, the accusation of human trafficking remains. The confiscation of passports and the strict curfew could possibly be categorised as human trafficking. In Switzerland, human trafficking is considered a serious criminal offence.
To be really evil now! British society likes to bet what would you bet that this can all be settled with a paltry financial penalty?
mod
Being rich means taking responsibility for society at all levels and not exploiting it at all levels.
This only comes from these ***** elite schools and universities where profit maximisation is put before ethics and moral responsibility.
We can't eat as much as we want to vomit!
Incidentally, this is just one example of so many, it is sad how our elites and our academic cultural elites hand in hand hardly represent moral values if not for self-expression.

Gratitude 13-01-2023
Grateful that I had a great time working at my current and the only organization of my professional career: Dun & Bradstreet India. It was a pride working for one of the oldest organization of the world. It was an honor and a priviege. I have learnt and grown so much both as a professional and most importantly as a person. Can't be thanful & grateful enough. Ajay Talware, Anil Hinduja, Euyakim Cheeran, Kallol Debnath, Moinak Ghosh to name a few are some of the best people I have met thanks to this organization. In few days from now, will be my last working day here before I join another prestigious firm and one of the big four in the form of PwC. I hope the people, culture, work, experience etc. will be good there. Fingers crossed. Also grateful to have been spoken with my college friend Suyash Pratik and ex-colleague Abhinav Maltesh today. I hope to be playing FIFA 22 with him in the coming week. On a side note, I need to buy the Dyson air purifier in the months ahead. I will be watching Break Point Tennis docuseries on Netflix and The Test season two Australian Cricket docuseries on Amazon Prime during the weekend. Also plan to enjoy the sakrant/ uttarayan festival tomorrw. Probably go out there and buy a few kites and enjoy flying it after ages. Let's see what the future holds. Come on man, excited and vamos. Hindujas-backed MindMaze secures $105 mn funding led by Concord Health
Hindujas-backed digital neuro-therapeutics solutions provider MindMaze on Thursday said it has secured a USD 105 million (over Rs 785 crore) financing led by Concord Health Partners, a US-based healthcare private equity firm.
The round also witnessed participation from London-based Hambro Perks and other family office investment groups, the company said in a statement without disclosing their identity.
MindMaze said AlbaCore Capital Group, one of Europe's leading specialist investors focusing on public and private markets, is also building on its existing investment in the company as a reflection of their continued commitment in it.
The financing round provides immediate access to funds, and a financing facility to fund growth and future acquisitions, the company said, adding the funding would also help accelerate global commercial growth plans, enhance ongoing R&D and consolidate the clinical development pipeline of its digital therapeutic solutions for a wide spectrum of neurological diseases.
MindMaze Founder and CEO Tej Tadi said, "This funding allows us to ramp up commercial activity and expand our footprint in the US, as well as gain access to strategic partners as we continue to deploy solutions across the continuum of care globally."
Commenting on the investment in MindMaze, Ajay P Hinduja, member of the third generation of the Hinduja family, said the company's brain technology platform will deliver breakthrough solutions that will redefine brain health and have a global impact.
"We are entirely devoted to assisting the company's success in the coming years and bring sustainable, transformational technology to the healthcare sector in all global markets, including India," he added.
Concord Founder & Managing Partner James Olsen said MindMaze has developed the leading technology and approach to digital therapeutics for neuro-rehabilitation and restoration, providing clear benefits to patients, providers and payers.
"We believe this notable advancement in treatment and therapy will meaningfully improve brain health and recovery for a wide range of conditions," he said, adding Concord would support MindMaze in clinical and commercial expansion in the US market.
MindMaze further said as a result of Concord's investment, it will initiate a partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA).
AHA serves as the national advocate for its provider member organisations, including nearly 90 per cent of US hospitals, health systems and other health care organizations as well as 3 lakh executives from health care organisations in the field, the company added.
AHA Senior Vice President, Business Development Doug Shaw said, "...MindMaze will enable our hospitals, health care systems and other providers of care to offer new, innovative solutions to help treat their patients."
MindMaze said with over 10 clinical trials underway across 8 indications, it expects to have at least three new prescription digital therapeutic solutions for chronic stroke, Parkinson's disease, and aging/MCI (mild cognitive impairment) in the next few years.

Ease lockdown, let other critical patients get treatment: Hospitals
New Post has been published on https://apzweb.com/ease-lockdown-let-other-critical-patients-get-treatment-hospitals/
Ease lockdown, let other critical patients get treatment: Hospitals
MUMBAI | NEW DELHI: Hospitals in several states have requested the local governments to ease lockdown measures for patients of critical ailments like cancer, who had to postpone their treatments for the past one month as India battled the Covid-19 crisis.
Hospitals had shut their outpatient services and deferred elective surgeries amid concerns over the spread of the coronavirus infection in healthcare facilities and among healthcare workers.
Even though the Union health ministry has directed hospitals not to deny treatment to any patients who are not Covid-19-positive, there have been reports of deaths due to some of them refusing to admit patients fearing they might be infected with the virus.
“On Tuesday, I met the Karnataka chief minister and told them there needs to be some sort of transportation facility for patients suffering from cancer to reach hospital for treatments,” said BS Ajai Kumar of Healthcare Global (HCG), a chain of oncology hospitals. “Cancer does not go away; there needs to be a plan to restart treatment for non-Covid patients,” he told ET, adding that patients were unable to travel due to the lockdown.
“As a healthcare provider, we are of the view that capacity-building for the Covid-19 victim is necessary. However, we should continue our focus on the larger population also which requires regular treatment and preventive care,” Manipal Hospitals Dwarka (New Delhi) chief executive Pramod Alagharu said. HCG has put in place a screening protocol where patients are made to undergo thorough screening and only those who are tested negative for Covid-19 are admitted, Kumar said. The patient doesn’t enter via main buildings so there is no issue of contamination, he added.
The situation in cities like Mumbai is worrying. About half a dozen private hospitals in Mumbai are shut down and have turned into containment zones with nearly 200 healthcare staff getting infected with the coronavirus. Wockhardt, Bhatia, Jaslok and Hinduja are the four biggest private hospitals that are under lockdown.
An executive from the public relations team of Jaslok Hospital said it had started select services. “Currently, the hospital is working on the protocols to take all the necessary precautions before the OPD along with other remaining services begin,” the executive said. The health ministry in a document released this week said as a matter of abundant precautions for hospitals located in proximity or catering to Covid-19 containment zones, it might be desirable to treat all patients as suspect Covid-19 case until proven otherwise.
Abhay Soi, chairman, Max Healthcare, said for critical non-Covid-19 cases, its hospitals were operational 24×7. “For our enlisted and even new patients, online OPDs are functional and the patients are connecting with specialists for consultancy,” Soi added. Aster DM CEO Harish Pillai told ET that patients with chronic diseases were offered home-care services. Though elective surgical procedures are completely stopped, the hospital has partially resumed other services. Aster DM, which has a chain of hospitals in South India, also said it was treating all patients as if they were Covid-19 positive and was taking precautions accordingly.

(via SC posts final hearing in Bofors payoff case in October)
The case would be listed in the week commencing October 8, 2017, says Chief Justice of India.
The Bofors ghost is back after 12 years, with the Supreme Court on Friday posting the final hearing in the ₹ 64-crore payoff case in October.
A Bench, headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, agreed with BJP leader and advocate Ajay Kumar Agarwal that his appeal against the Delhi High Court May 31, 2005 judgement, quashing all charges against the Europe-based Hinduja brothers in the case, has been pending for long.
Mr. Agarwal has filed an application for early hearing. The Chief Justice said the case would be listed in the week commencing October 8, 2017.On October 18, 2005, the apex court admitted his petition, which was filed after the CBI failed to approach the court with the appeal within the 90-day deadline following the High Court verdict.
