DAY 5964
Jalsa, Mumbai June 16, 2024 Sun 11:44 PM
🪔 ,
June 17 .. birthday greetings to :
Ef Rajeev Sharma from NYC ..
Ef Sigali Siman Tov ..
and Ef Rishit Shukla from Ahmedabad .. 🙏🏻🚩❤️
my wishes and the wishes of the entire Ef family for prosperity peace calm and love ..❤️
.. the memory test, and this one reads with great interest these days, is tested now for the moment of the Blog .. and when I do rewind the time clock for the day , there is little that can be of any remembrance ... the breathing yoga , the AI gym, the concerted physio , takes away more than the day .. and then one sits in wonder and apprehension for the GOJ .. and there is a fear and , well, not really a fear , but one that runs through the mind ..
'will anyone still be there ..' ?
and as the gates open the energised reception and the smiles and the cheering and the multitudinous mobiles up in the air , take over .. and take over the balconies of the balcony in the structure ahead of the road across and the rooftop of another and their vociferous waves and movements to be seen , capture the eye and attention is drawn there .. after due respect to the Ef in the front rows .. and the slogan shouting Ef's of the day and the banners and the pictures in abundance to be autographed and given in immediate return .. and the turn back to the isolation of the personalised room .. and the wonder of , 'did it really happen all this' ..
a short reflect to the Office , in meets .. and back to the meal with the kids and now the joint adventure of the EURO football game in a while .. the WCt20 having taken a spot in the playoffs with distinction and the awaited anticipation of the next .. game .. and its results ..
And between all this .. a written record of what has been discussed for and met with, for the upcoming thoughts, for the future ..
the future .. which seems crowded .. but there is ever a space in the crowds for that little inch of space to discover , move in and find yourself on the other side .. fresh air fresh horizon and fresh mind .. safe in the protection and comfort of the comfortable - the self .. !
the self is the undisclosed unburdened unknown understanding - alliteration be acknowledged - of the under .. !!
🤨
the alliteration just dropped by not quite accidentally but by response .. a response to a message that came by on an occasion and my reply being ..
"Grateful gratitude 🙏 greetings ❤️" ..
and what would normally come as an acceptance of maybe most times nothing at all , what came by was ..
'alliteration accepted '
and alliteration in its own right .. 🤣 🤣
So .. the walk down the GOJ aisle .. in heartbeat moments .. and then the climb to the viewing box .. for the revelation that all is well ..
And all the time the moment of the great Charlie Chaplin comes running by, as he is invited back to Hollywood after years from his exile , so to say , being deported from USA , on the suspicion of being labelled a communist , to be decorated by the Academy for a LifeTime Award .. and as he stands in the wings of the stage waiting for the announcement, he hesitantly asked the aide standing by his side to usher him in :
'will they clap .. ??
and when he does, he gets the longest standing ovation ever .. his eyes filled with unspoken emotion, unable to say a word .. he just stands there .. his face filled with uncontrolled gratitude ..
Ahhh .. what a moment in the history of cinema !!!
एक और रविवार बीत गया
स्नेह आदर 🌹❤️
अमिताभ बच्चन
the pictures had not come out well .. so trying again

Dwarka and Ahmedabad Trip - Family Travel form Korba Chhattisgarh
As I packed my bags at my residence in Korba, Chhattisgarh, I felt a thrill within me. This tour was not just a simple vacation; it was a family trip meant to unite relatives from all corners. Our destination was the sacred town of Dwarka and the bustling city of Ahmedabad.
Setting Off from Korba
The day was just breaking when the family embarked on the trip. Loading my bags into the car, I felt emotions of excitement and anticipation. The journey to Bilaspur from Korba was familiar, yet each trip had its own story. Along the highways, we passed green plantations and small-scale farms that dotted the landscape.
In about an hour and a half, we reached Bilaspur, where my relatives from Bhilai joined us. It was like an informal family gathering in the parking lot. After a quick meal together at a nearby hotel, we headed to the railway station to catch our train to Dwarka.
The Train Journey: A Time for Bonding
The train journey was filled with fun and shared stories. The energy within the group was high as we traveled from the territory of Chhattisgarh to Gujarat. Along the way, we spotted beautiful peacocks and wind turbines. The home-cooked Chhattisgarhi dishes we’d brought turned into a communal feast, enhancing the bond between family members.
As evening arrived, I watched the sunset in Gujarat, noting how the sun lingered longer than it would back home. Spending this time with positive, cheerful relatives in beautiful surroundings made the journey unforgettable.
Arriving in Dwarka
After a night on the train, we arrived in Dwarka, greeted by the early morning sunlight on the ancient temples. We checked into our hotel, where my grandparents chose to rest while the rest of us headed to the Dwarkadhish temple. Walking through the throngs of devotees, the temple's intricate sculptures left us all spellbound, and the sense of peace within its walls was overwhelming.
The next day, we visited Bet Dwarka, a small island accessible by ferry. The kids were excited, and we bought real pearls with plans to make earrings for family members. This island, believed to be Lord Krishna's first residence, held great historical significance. We explored its temples and beaches, soaking in the spiritual and natural beauty of the place.
In the afternoons, we wandered through vibrant markets, sampling local crafts and delicious food. I made sure to pack some native dishes, including fish and dried fish, to bring home. In the evenings, we gathered as a family, sharing stories over meals at small dhabas, creating memories over shared plates.
Journey to Ahmedabad and Exploring the City
After a few days in Dwarka, we set out for Ahmedabad, a scenic drive across Gujarat. Upon arrival, we checked into our hotel and set off to explore the city. Our first stop was Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived for many years. Walking through the peaceful surroundings, I felt a renewed sense of respect for the man who had left such a lasting impact on Indian history.
That evening, we visited the bustling night market at Manek Chowk. I found myself drawn to the hot and salty street food, steering clear of the sweet Gujarati flavors that don't quite suit my taste. But dining together under the market's bright lights made the evening perfect.
Cultural Experiences and Wildlife Adventure
The next day, we explored Ahmedabad's architectural and cultural landmarks, including the beautiful Adalaj Stepwell. This Indo-Islamic architectural marvel, with its shaded steps, offered a cool respite from the heat.
Afterward, we went to a water park, where we were surprised to see Raftaar, who was performing at a concert that evening. Meeting him added an unexpected thrill to the day!
The following day, we continued our adventure with a trip to Gir National Park, home to the majestic Asiatic lions. The safari through the park was a thrilling experience as we spotted not only lions but also other wildlife, including deer and exotic birds. The raw beauty of the forest and the excitement of spotting animals up close made it a memorable addition to our trip.
Coming Home
On our journey back to Korba, the car was filled with animated conversations about the trip’s highlights and the question of when we’d have our next family gathering. This trip was about much more than just visiting new places; it was about being with loved ones and creating memories that would stay with us for years.
As I unpacked my bags at home, I felt fulfilled by the laughter and experiences we had shared. This journey from Korba to Dwarka, Ahmedabad, and Gir National Park left me eagerly awaiting our next family adventure, knowing that travel is truly enriched by the company we keep.

[ad_1] Narendra Modi Stadium It’s official. India wants to host the 2036 Olympics and Paralympics, but the big question is when and where. On Tuesday, news flew thick and fast, with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports being quoted first, India had submitted an official letter through the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). It was addressed to the International Olympic Committee’s Future Host Commission. By late evening on Tuesday, the news was confirmed through a video posted by PT Usha, president, IOA, attesting that the National Olympic Committee had written in October 2024 to the IOC. To start with, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended the IOC session last year in Mumbai. He had spoken about India’s keenness to host the Summer Olympics as well as the Paralympics. He had again mentioned it to the Indian diaspora in New York a few months ago. India is very keen to host the Games. This is, indeed, fantastic news, but there has to be a proper bid document expressing intent and where the Olympics is to be held and how the host city will go through the process. A mere three-page letter sent by the IOA would serve very little purpose. Anyone who has followed the Olympic Movement and how nations bid for the Summer Olympics is aware that the bid is made by a host city. There are elaborate plans, detailing how it will work and what will be the infrastructure put in place. More importantly, legacy value, how the Olympics will address climate change and more contentious issues like carbon emission levels are discussed. Above all, there is a strong push to cap the cost of the Games. If these are fine details, right now, nobody knows which city in India will be the host. It cannot be like this. Since the time Motera in the outskirts of Ahmedabad was refurbished and rechristened as the Narendra Modi Stadium in 2021, right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been murmurs that Ahmedabad will be the host city. Indeed, the renovated cricket stadium can be converted into a main stadium for the Olympics. There is plenty of real estate around, which can be developed for more stadiums as well. But the point is, nobody has officially mentioned Ahmedabad, or even Gandhinagar, as the host city. This lack of clarity on the Olympic host city is now being questioned abroad by those who have taken note of India’s interest. Mind you, nobody is mocking India’s intent to host the Olympics. A lot has changed since the time India hosted the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. The CWG was delivered well, but lawsuits, corruption cases, officials going to jail and more dirt grabbed the headlines after the Games ended. Even now, the Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies plus the main events like track and field makes news for the wrong reasons like the venue had been rented out for a music concert. Debris and dirt were left behind which came in for flak. Surely, hosting an Olympics means the city has to be identified first. Take the case of Australia, when it wanted to host the Games in 2000. They came to know in 1993 that the showpiece event had been awarded to Sydney by the IOC. Indeed, Sydney did a great job, with public participation at an all-time high. Again, despite political differences in Brisbane, the stakeholders are planning in detail how they will host the Olympics in 2032. Australia is a sporting nation and plans well in advance. For that matter, even when the Victoria state decided it was not going to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games, it informed the CGF (Commonwealth Games Federation) in 2023 itself. India has the will to host an Olympics but no time can be wasted in identifying which city will be the host. This is the first question which the world is asking at this point of time. Unless there is clarity in this regard, there can be no movement forward. Again, this decision cannot be taken by the IOA, it has to come from the highest office. The good part, many athletes and Para-athletes
have already sent in best wishes that India hosts the Summer Olympics and Paralympics successfully. What needs to be done right away is to name the host city. That will surely create a buzz. The post India needs to quickly spell out which city will play host to the 2036 Olympics appeared first on Sports News Portal | Latest Sports Articles | Revsports. [ad_2] Source link
