These faceclaims were a pain (esp compared to the Archerons) but I’m really happy with them. Azriel’s was the easiest by far; I came across a picture of Mahadevan while looking for something else and he struck me as the perfect Azriel ( seriously he’s so pretty).
Rhysand’s faceclaim was also a random find but I think Ramamurthy works really well, he’s a stunner lol. Cassian and Amren were a little tougher and I actually ended up scrolling through the instagrams of Indonesian modeling agencies for faces.
Mor was the most frustrating by several orders of magnitude. Obviously, her faceclaim has a lot to live up to as the most beautiful woman in a series full of knockouts. Coupled with the fact that I had a very specific image in mind of Mor’s features, I went through... a lot of people before settling on Revelis. Some of the women considered were Beyonce, @killuptown on instagram, Lizette Pinto e Melo and Daili Perez. I was going with the gorgeous model Shaniqua Arnelle until I found Doris at the very last minute. I would’ve stuck with Arnelle if she had pictures of her as a blonde lol.

omg aaahh first of all i love this blog, thank you!! secondly, as an indonesian who has rarely seen indonesian characters and fcs in the rpc, may i introduce some indonesian fcs with a lack of resources through this ask? mainly because i’m hoping other people will see this and consider using them / making resources! but to name some names: tara basro, agra piliang, laras sekar, devita ravani, reza rahadian, nicolas saputra, rio dewanto, chelsea islan & iko uwais
thank you for your kind words! i agree, i think there’s a serious lack of indonesian characters, and south east asian characters in general, in the rpc so please feel free to give us suggestions. all of these fcs you’ve introduced look so good and promising (devita and rio in particular catch my eye) hopefully people take these up!

NAME / ALIAS / TIMEZONE / ETC : hi i’m karin i’m 20, am in aest ( or gmt +7 depending on time of the year bc i’m from indonesia but go to school in australia lol ) and i’m perpetually tired.
FAVORITE FANTASY WORLD :  i wouldn’t really call the poppy war whimsical but its setting nikara is an absolutely mind blowing fantasy world, so is kekon from the green bone saga. also, the world of the bone witch trilogy. and not a literary fantasy world, but any final fantasy worlds? i’m in love with lucis from final fantasy xv and dalmasca from final fantasy xii specifically.
WOULD YOU RATHER : control water or metal ? control blood flow/organs of others or the wind itself ? summon the sun or absolute darkness ?
WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE FACECLAIMS : oooo, good question. i have a lot of favourites? but some of them are wang ziyi, cindy kimberly, sen mitsuji, adonis bosso, kelly gale, rome flynn & jennie kim. also honourable mention to agra piliang and laras sekar because i’ve never actively used them but would love to — especially if they have more resources.
FAVORITE CHARACTER TROPE : anyone who knows me would know that my type is absolutely war bred characters and characters who are either inspired by ares or could be an ares child? also not a trope really but i love characters who subvert tropes? like, darkness being good, light being evil, etc.
IF YOU’VE READ THE GRISHA VERSE BOOKS , WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER. IF YOU HAVEN’T , WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE LITERARY CHARACTER IN GENERAL : i’ve only read like half of s&b and the first book of soc but i can already tell i would die for tolya & tamar in the s&b trilogy, and my favourite character from soc is jesper i love my messy son?? grishaverse aside tho ( cos i can’t exactly say i’m well versed in those characters ), some of my favourite literary characters are chaghan suren from the poppy war, kaul shaelinsan from the green bone saga, xifeng from forest of a thousand lanterns, and li lan & er lang from the ghost bride.
WHAT BRINGS YOU TO CROOKED KINGDOM : first and foremost — riley brought me here. but also despite not having finished any of the grishaverse series, i think the world of it has so much potential and i absolutely have to give riley kudos for exploring ketterdam in more depth. also crimes, heist, and a world ruled by greed? who can say no to that?
