The Only Thing Left
I finally trust that you love me And I finally think I love you
So give me your hands I'll spin you around You're real in my arms I won't put you back down We've been through the past We're still here somehow We make this all real When we say it out loud
The Only Thing Left - Vincent Lima
This lovely commission was done by: @lonelymagpies
They did such a magnificent job. I was blown away.
This is a more enhanced look into a scene from my little story. There is a masque ball. Rhagerys totally dresses up like in the picture. But Aemond did not. So, thanks to lonelymagpies I was able to see a version to that scene that I absolutely wanted but knew Aemond would not actually do. This leads up to them dancing alone in Rhagerys’s chambers. Then love making in the rain.
I am so happy with this piece. I was going for the vibe of Romeo + Juliet. And lonelymagpies delivered. They were so understanding and beyond creative in what I gave them to work with. This art piece just makes me 🥰 every time I look at it.
This is the third part of a three piece art set:
Kiss Hug

Thank you so much @rancidjuno for creating such a wondrous piece of art. I just wanted a sweet moment for these four to have. You went above and beyond. I am so grateful to you. I wrote a little snippet to go with the picture.
“You look lovely.” Rhagerys looked up towards Aemond. “As I knew you would.”
Aemond crossed his arms and pretended to be upset. Though a quirk of a smile appeared on his lips.
“What about me? Do I look lovely as well?”
Rhagerys turned towards Aegon. “Beyond words. However,” He glanced down to Helaena’s hands as she crafted her flower crown. “Helaena outshines us all with her radiant beauty. Crown or no crown.”
Helaena let out a light laugh as she weaved a flower into place. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
Aegon looked towards his wife. “And what a sight to behold.” He stole a quick kiss to her cheek.
Helaena smiled as a bit of blush came across her face.
Aemond leaned down to Rhagerys. “You look lovely, as well, beautiful even.” He quietly said into his cousin’s ear. Aemond gave a quick kiss to the side of Rhagerys’s head. “Valzȳrys .” He stood to his full height and kept the facade up of being displeased with his flowery crown.
Rhagerys looked back up towards Aemond. “And you, ethereal.” There was a softness in his eyes. “Valzȳrys .” He gently said in return.
The two gave one another a loving smile.
Valzȳrys = husband
The butterflies represent the Greens and the Blacks. As well as the colors of each couple (blue and purple). And yes, in my story Rhagerys and Aemond do get married. Albeit secretly and not legally. But that doesn't matter to them, because they know their commitment to one another and love for one another is all they need to make a true marriage.

Imagine Aemond having a male lover…
Aemond experienced little desire in his life. It had been instilled in him since he was a young boy that his desires didn’t matter, duty always trumped desire. His strongest desire, the only one he’d ever given into, was to have a dragon and he lost an eye to satisfy that desire. For him, it had been a fair trade. The few times he had experienced desire since then, it hadn’t been nearly as strong and he quickly figured out that giving in would do nothing for him. He would gain nothing, so he pushed the desire away and continued on his path.
The first time Aemond saw him he felt that same desire bubble up inside of him. It was the same as his desire to claim a dragon, maybe even greater than that desire. This overwhelming need to claim him as his own. The dragon within wouldn’t allow him to ignore the feelings, as any good son should do. Aemond’s thoughts were consumed by him. He dreamt of him and woke with his name on his lips. He couldn’t escape his desire. Aemond, despite his discipline and sense of duty, couldn’t take it anymore and gave into his desires. Luckily, his desire was reciprocated.
Aemond was careful, discreet, with his lover. He knew this behavior was not expected of him and his family (i.e. mother) would not be pleased. His lover also understood the importance of discretion, so it was easy to keep their affair a secret. They spent a long time in the shadows until one night at a royal banquet, Aemond became jealous of the attention his lover received from both men and women. His lover flirted back and danced with some of the women in attendance and the possessive dragon didn’t like that. His annoyance grew every time another man threw his lover a wink or a woman grabbed at his arm. After the banquet, he cornered his lover in a dark hall. He couldn’t wait until they returned to his chambers. His lover scolded him, complaining that someone may see but made no move to push him away. “Good.” Aemond whispered. He didn’t want to share his lover’s attention. He wanted him all to himself. It was only in these moments that he could.
Unfortunately, they were not alone that night. Ser Crispy Criston happen to see them and like a child running to his mother, he went straight to Alicent to tell her what he saw. She couldn’t believe it at first but knew deep down that Criston wouldn’t lie to her, especially about something like this. It was no matter. She was not worried, because Aemond was her good son. The son who, like her, put duty above everything. She blamed herself. It was her fault for not properly explaining why this sort of relationship couldn’t happen. If he was someone else, maybe, but as the second son of the king…She would sit Aemond down and explain her reasoning, and explain his duty, as she had done before on other matters, and Aemond would end whatever was going on between him and the other young man.
That is exactly what Alicent did the next day. She tries her best to ignore the small dark mark poking out from under Aemond’s collar and tells him that she knows about the affair. She explains, without anger or malice in her voice, that this cannot continue. She explains his role, his duty as the second son. His need to marry a highborn lady to form a strong alliance for his brother, so that he may safely come to the throne and rule. A silent moment passes between them and Alicent takes a sip of tea. Aemond often takes a moment to think and process the information after their talks, so his silence isn’t worrying. What is worrying is how calmly and gracefully Aemond says, “No”. Alicent almost spits out her tea at Aemond’s one word reply. She wasn’t expecting that.
The two argue. Alicent yells and Aemond keeps his voice low, but there is an edge to it. Aemond won’t bend and neither will Alicent. She speaks of sacrifice and Aemond reminds her that he’s always done his duty, sacrificed for a brother who doesn’t even want to be king, is not fit to be king. All his brother does is drink and lay with whores. He doesn’t study or train as hard as him. Where is his reminder of duty and sacrifice? They argue in a circle until Aemond makes a quip about Alicent being unhappy, and just because she is unhappy doesn’t mean the rest of them have to be. Alicent slaps him across the face before she knows what she’s done. It’s the only time he’s ever hit her son.
Aemond exits quickly after that and storms through the palace to find his lover. He soon finds him with Helaena. She was the only one that knew about them (before today). She knew they would be together before he did (because visions) as Aemond thinks back to all of the cryptic statements she made before they officially coupled and then the simple “He is good for you, brother” the day after Aemond bedded his lover for the first time. Aemond kisses his lover before he can even speak. He tells his lover that his mother knows about them, and his lover says with a sad smile that the kiss was a goodbye one but Aemond just smirks and kisses him again. This is only the beginning.
Helaena’s smile falters as she stares at her brother and his lover. “A knight steals from the dragon’s nest” The dragon must protect his treasure.

Fic: Even Monsters Need a Gentle Touch Chapter 5
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Title: Even Monsters Need a Gentle Touch
Chapter: 5
Summary:
Aemond is used to people steering away from him, avoiding eye contact and whispering about him behind his back. He pretends not to notice and not to care. But in truth, his heart aches at the thought that no one can love him with the scar on his face.
Luckily, someone comes along who will fix everything. Someone who will love him despite his scar. At least so Aemond thinks. Things go downhill and after a traumatic event, Alicent sends Aemond to negotiate with Rhaenyra at Dragonstone.
Unfortunately, Aemond is taken prisoner almost immediately by the Princess and her husband and is forced to reside in the castle with them. Thought it is a tough start to his new life, eventually Aemond finds that love and care is not so hard to come across after all.
Pairing: Endgame Aemond/Jacaerys, but starts out Aemond/OMC
Rating: Will eventually be NC-17, but starts out relatively tame
Warning: None

“Checkmate, Ser Ellion.” Aemond smirks as he knocks the knight’s King over with his Queen, and leans back in his chair. He crosses his legs and twines his fingers together to rest upon his leather-clad jerkin.
It had been a few weeks now that the knight and brother of the King had begun to get along. And get along they did. Of course you would not have seen the prince without his loyal knight following like a puppy before, but now it was a regular occurrence to see the two walk side by side through the keep, engrossed in an animated conversation.
“Ah. A shame. I thought I finally had this one, my prince.” Ser Ellion grins and begins to clean the chessboard up from their most recent game in the prince’s quarters. It had become a nightly ritual. After Aemond had once more survived another disappointing meal with his family, he and Ser Ellion would retreat to his chambers to drink, talk, and sometimes play a game of chess.
“Well, if you would like, I could let you win next time.” The Targaryen prince jokes.
“You think you are funny, do you?”
“Perhaps.” Aemond shrugs.
“The night is still warm my prince. Shall we take our wine out onto the balcony so we can enjoy the fresh air?”
It was strange to many in the Red Keep, none having seen their young prince act this way. Even when he was a child in happier times he would seem brooding, quiet, cold and lonely. But now it seemed as if everything he had been holding back for years had come flowing out of him in a river. He could be seen laughing, debating and conversing with his adoring knight. And they were always touching each other. A hand upon a shoulder here, a hand in another guiding them there. Aemond even seemed….happy?
“Please.” Aemond responds.
Ser Ellion takes that as his cue and holds out a hand for the prince. Aemond takes it in his own and allows himself to be pulled out of his chair. He takes his goblet of wine in hand and is guided by a hand on his lower back out onto the balcony. The two finally find themselves leaning against the railing and looking out at the city.
Both Aemond and Ser Ellion are quiet, just enjoying the companionable silence for a long time. Aemond’s thoughts drift off as he sips his wine. The night was warm, as Ser Ellion had said. And the skies were clear. And if the skies were clear, that meant they could see any dragon coming their way to….
No! Aemond chides himself. Do not ruin this evening with silly predictions and worries.
“Is all well, Prince Aemond?” Ser Ellion’s voice cuts through the fog of his mind, so he turns to the taller man and nods.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t it be?”
Ser Ellion sets his goblet of wine down precariously upon the railing and turns to look at him.
“You were lost in your thoughts again. When that happens you seem to become sad.”
“I… Let us not speak of it. I would not ruin this enjoyable evening.”
“Your thoughts are important, my prince. And I would have you share what’s on your mind. If only so I help can ease the burden for you.” Ser Ellion rests his hand on top of the one Aemond had placed on the railing and carefully intertwines their fingers.
Aemond is so shocked by the action, still not used to the kind touches, that he forgets what he was thinking about for a moment.
“Prince Aemond?”
“Sorry. I was thinking.” Aemond blushes when Ser Ellion only keeps his hold upon his hand.
“What burdens your mind, my prince?”
“It is just….every day my mother is convinced that Rhaenyra will come flying into King’s Landing to burn us all.”
“And do you think she will?”
“Mother and grandfather are convinced. But I am not so sure. Rhaenyra is many things, but I don’t think she is that cruel. But still, I worry even so. If not for me, than for my family.”
“You are honorable, your grace. To put your families well-being above your own.”
“It is my duty.”
“You need someone to look out for you too. That is my duty. And if your step-sister decides to wage war on us, she will never pass between me and you.”
Aemond looks down with a bittersweet smile.
“You have never been in front of dragon fire have you?”
“I ….. can not say that I have, my prince.”
“If you ever are, you might feel differently.”
“No! No matter what dangers I must face to keep them from you, I will. Your life is more important than mine. And I will see to it that you live a long healthy life, my prince.”
Aemond pulls his hand away, but not before squeezing the fingers of Ellion’s hand.
“Let us speak on it no longer. I do not wish for our evening to be filled with such despairing thoughts. That is for only me, not you. Tell me again the tale of how you took down five boars in the woods all on your own with only a knife?”
———————————— A couple weeks later, and things were really starting to look up in Aemond’s opinion. The castle still whispered. He still heard insults levied his way about his looks and demeanor. But that couldn’t hurt him now. Not now when he had finally found someone who didn’t see the scar, didn’t see his position or name.
He finally had a friend, something he had wished for since he was a young child. And something he had been cruelly denied. Aemond had never forgiven Aegon for including their nephews Lucerys and Jacerys in his bullying and pranks. When Aemond was younger, he had thought that he might get along with them. But quickly enough that hope was dismantled as they laughed and made jokes at his expense.
He knew that they were but children, and it was easy to influence them in one way or another. But even now, he could not find it in himself to forgive them. Childish? Perhaps. But Aemond’s childhood had been a lonely one. And that had grown into a lonely and angry adulthood. And he had thought he would remain that way for the rest of his life. But he had a friendship now. And perhaps something more... ————————————————————
“Prince Aemond! Have you finished your training for the day?” Ser Ellion calls out from his position against the wall of the training yard, watching over the young prince.
“Obviously.” He says snarkily, though a hint of a smile shows upon his lips. “Why?”
“Where to next, my prince?” Ser Ellion queries, almost skipping up to where Aemond was re-organizing the weapon table in the training yard.
“I will take a walk in the Godswood. There is still time before I must report to dinner.”
“Report? You almost make it sound like a war council session.”
“That is because it is. The dining hall is a battlefield Ser Ellion.”
“I see.”
The two retreat from the training yard. Knights, lords and squires bowing their head to the prince as he goes. And Ser Ellion following but a couple steps behind. When they reach the Godswood, Aemond seems content to keep quiet, hands stiffly clasped behind his back and eye focused on the path in front of him.
Surprisingly enough, Ser Ellion keeps his silence too, only watching as Aemond makes his way through till he reaches the weirwood tree. He settles himself down in front of it before curling up against it’s roots.
“My Prince?” Ser Ellion asks cautiously, unsure of what Aemond was planning.
“I just wish for some rest. I will not be long and you do not need to stay here with me.”
“No! I will stay. I will guard your rest, my Prince.”
“Thank you.” Aemond whispers.
And true to his word, Ser Ellion keeps watch from a respectful distance over the young prince until he begins to stir and sits up again. The sun was still in the sky, but it was beginning to darken and the rays no longer warmed Aemond’s skin.
“What time is it?”
“Late enough that you should probably return to your chambers if you want to avoid showing up to the dining hall looking like an urchin.”
“You can not say that about me!” Aemond pouts at him.
“I am joking, Prince Aemond. You look perfectly presentable as always.”
Aemond looks from Ser Ellion’s kind grin to his hand, where the knight was clutching a bouquet of purple flowers. When the knight notices him staring, he holds out the bouquet to him.
“What are these?”
“Flowers, my prince.”
“Obviously. What do you have them for?”
“I…well. I may have spent some of the time you were resting picking them. For you.” He holds the bouquet closer to Aemond in hopes that he will take them. And he does. Aemond takes them into his hands and a true smiles makes its way onto his lips.
“For me?”
“Aye. They compliment the color of your eye, my prince.”
Aemond blushes at the compliment and looks down at the flowers. Nobody had ever picked flowers for him before. It was the kindest gesture he had ever had performed for him. Although, friends do not just give each other flowers, do they?
“What are your intentions, Ser Ellion?” He asks in a serious tone.
“Intentions, my prince?” The knight tilts his head in confusion.
“Aye, what do mean by giving me these flowers?”
It was not just the flowers that he wondered about. It was the soft touches the knight gave him, the hand holding his in the later hours of the evening, Ser Ellion brushing his hair for him, and the seemingly private smiles that were reserved for the prince.
“I suppose, whatever you wish it to mean.” The knight responds.
What was that supposed to mean? Does he perhaps see this as more than a simple friendship too? Could he have more than friendship in mind? Does he like me as I have come to adore him? Though his heart and mind have now been thrown into turmoil, Aemond does not let it show. He only nods and says:
“The hour is late. You were right. I must make myself more presentable before dinner.” ——————————————————————————
Looking at his reflection now, Aemond could almost call himself beautiful. Earlier this evening, he had bathed in a warm bath mixed with scented oils of sandalwood and patchouli. Long moments were spent in that bath, cleansing every part of him by candlelight until he had scrubbed any imaginary speck of dirt off his skin and out of his hair.
And once the servants had gotten rid of the bathwater, he had sat down at his dressing table and combed through his hair with the shell comb Helaena had gifted to him on his prior name day. In a rare, sentimental moment, he allowed himself to think of different hands, ones large and warm, doing this instead. Just as they had but a couple weeks prior.
Continuing his ministrations, he smooths his hair out until it is dry, lying in a silken expanse over his back. He does not braid the entirety of it, only taking a couple small sections from his temple and pulling them back in a small braid. The rest he leaves as is.
He said my hair reminded him of Visenya Targaryen, sister-wife of Aegon I. Although whether I should see that as a compliment or an insult is unknown. He jokes to himself.
After donning his eyepatch, he had begun to dress himself. First in his usual black trousers and boots. Then, he pulled out a billowy tunic made of what he thought might be organza. His mother would know better than him. When first gifted the shirt by his mother, he had been offended. The large billowy sleeves and fabric were not good matches for the training yard. But now, as he smoothed it down his chest, and he caught sight of how the fabric’s colors switched between black and purple in the different light, he smiled. It was as ostentatious as they come. But Ser Ellion had said he looked good in purple. On top of the tunic, he added his black leather vest. If he was going to look ridiculous, at least he should have some part of himself being shown.
He is still admiring his reflection in the mirror when a knock sounds at his door.
“Come in!” He says pleasantly.
The door is pushed open in a careful manner and Aemond is greeted with the sight of a smiling Ser Ellion, dressed in his normal uniform, breastplate buffed till it shone brightly.
“My prince.” The knight bows deeply to him.
“Have you come to escort me to the feast?” Aemond finishes buckling the last buckle of his boots.
“Aye, can’t make you late to your own name day celebration!”
“It is not that important. ’Tis only another feast Ser Ellion.”
“But on the contrary my prince, tis a splendid occasion. Twenty-one years on this earth. That should be celebrated!”
“Oh quiet. It is just another year.”
“If you say so, my prince. But I would not want to make you late even so. But first, if I may have a moment?”
Aemond tilts his head in confusion and nods. “Aye?”
Ser Ellion pulls his right hand from behind his back where it had been resting this whole time. In between his thumb and forefinger he holds a single pink rhododendron.
“Another flower, Ser Ellion?” He asks in elated surprise.
“Yes. A gift for the prince’s twenty-first name day. Will you accept my gift, Prince Aemond?” The knight looks slightly nervous, shifting back and forth on his toes. “I can only apologize that it is nothing more extravagant.”
Aemond does not leave him hanging for long, nodding eagerly.
“Of course!”
Ser Ellion grins even brighter then, placing a hand on his shoulder and stroking over the fabric covering his collar bone. Aemond’s blush darkens and he ducks his head in embarrassment.
“Turn around, my prince. This will look lovely in your hair.”
Aemond allows Ser Ellion to turn him so his back is facing the knight. And he can feel when he tucks the pink flower into his braid.
“There. You look perfect now, my prince. I am honored to serve such a strong and beautiful prince as you.”
Aemond whirls around to find the knight on his knee, head bowed. The memory of a similar sight causing warmth to spread through him. He takes hold of the knights’s arm and tugs.
“Stand, Ser Ellion. Your loyalty is much appreciated. But I can not…..” He stops, biting the inside of his cheek to stop himself from finishing the sentence.
“Can not?” The knight urges once he is standing.
But instead of finishing what he is about to say, Aemond leans forward and presses quick kiss to the knight’s lips before he can lose his nerve. Ser Ellion, to his credit, hides his surprise with a kind smile.
“My prince?”
Aemond steps away shyly, head bowed to hide his embarrassed expression. Had he really done that? Kissed his guard? He brings a trembling finger up to his own lips and smiles. He had. And he did not regret it one bit.
“My prince?” Ser Ellion asks again into the silence, concern coloring his words.
Aemond shakes himself out of his stupor and grins up at the knight.
“Thank you, Ser Ellion. For the gift. And for….nevermind. Let us go.”
The knight bows as per usual, but as they retreat into the hall, the knight rests his hand on his lower back, guiding him towards the great hall where the celebrations were taking place. Aemond keeps looking back at the knight every so often, smiling happily up at him. The knight in return pulls him closer with a fond smile. The knight only pulls away when they reach the doors to the great hall. The doors open for him and a servant announces his presence.
“Presenting, Prince Aemond Targaryen.”
The chatter in the hall stops as he steps forward. Most of the lords and ladies look at him awkwardly, bowing as he passes through the crowd. Maybe it was his scar as usual. Or maybe it was his unusual choice of clothing or even the pink flower stuck in his hair. But what he didn’t realize was that he was smiling so brightly and happily, that it took everyone several moments to realize that it was actually their prince standing before them.
And when he makes his way up to the high table to take his seat, Aegon stares at him like he’d grown a second head.
“What happened to you?”
“What do you mean, brother?”
“You look like someone gave you a puppy.” The older man snorts.
“Not quite.”
“Well are you going to tell us why you look maniacal?” His brother implores.
“Aegon!” Alicent chides from his other side.
“No. I don’t think I will.”
Aegon turns away and grumbles in his seat, taking a long sip of his wine. Aemond looks over to the wall where Ser Ellion had stationed himself and he smiles at him. The knight nods and smiles back.
A hand reaches under the table to take his hand and when he turns to look at Helaena, he thinks he almost sees tears in her eyes.
“Helaena?” He whispers.
“You can’t, brother. You can’t. Sorrow and danger will sleep in your bed. You can’t.” At his sister’s distress, his smile turns down into a frown and he squeezes her hand to comfort her.
“Helaena? What do you mean?”
But Helaena says no more. She only slips her hand from his and looks blankly at the food in front of her. Aemond wishes he could comfort her, but he knew it would do neither of them any good with the state she was in. So instead he just focuses on the celebrations. The feast was extravagant, and he allowed himself to indulge in the rich sweet meats and pies at the end of the feast. And if he had more than one glass of wine? Well, Aegon didn’t have to know.
There was music and dancing, though he refrained from partaking in that part of the celebration, only watching from his seat at the high table as the courtiers reveled and got drunk. And finally when it was over, Aegon made a drunken, half-assed speech about him. But it was truly hard to understand what the King was talking about, given he had already indulged in several pitchers of wine. Either way, the courtiers clapped and cheered at the end. The courtiers and his family slowly began to file out of the feast hall and he is barely out of the room himself when Ser Ellion steps up beside him to escort him back to the room.
As they walk, the knight keeps a respectful distance between them, due to the crowds of courtiers and servants now filing down the hallways.
“Was your name-day celebration adequate, my prince?” The knight asks to fill the silence.
“Hmmm. I suppose so. But I am glad it is over and done with. The elaborate feasts are just a farce. Another battlefield to survive.”
“Well. Perhaps now you can sleep and get some rest from the fight.” The knight says once they’ve reached Aemond’s chambers.
The prince opens the door and steps in. But after a moment he turns back around with an unidentifiable expression on his face. A mixture of hope, happiness and nerves. He looks left and right down the hall before leaning up and pressing a kiss to the knight’s lips again. But this time, the man responds in kind, one gloved hand sliding up to rest on Aemond’s scarred cheek. The other reaching out to rest on his waist. The prince rests his arms on the knight’s arms to ground himself before pulling away.
“Will you….will you spend the night with me?” He asks nervously.
The knight’s eyes widen, but his arms wrap tightly around the prince and pulls him into his chest.
“Whatever you desire, my prince, is yours.”

I am confused whom to ship him with tbh. Like his dynamics doesn't sit right with his surrounding male characters. I m not an incest fan but I have read some daemon x aemond fic. They were good I guess. There were some lucerys fic too but that made me very uncomfortable .i can't ship his odd ass with a child. So, in conclusion I am thinking about an OMC.what do you think, whom would he fit more perfectly ? Any idea??
I am not an incest fan but this series has plenty of it and it's kind of like everyone's related in some way lmao. But I see Aemond as being 17 or 18 at the oldest, Aegon is clearly in his early twenties, and Helaena is probably 18 or at least a year or two older than Aemond. I am comfortable with doing a reader or original character and maybe Daemon or Jace. Even though I feel like Daemon is probably too old for Aemond because Aemond is still a teenager, Daemon I assume is at least in his 30s or something. I most of time prefer to think of their relationship as a young person having a big crush on an older person but it simply being a crush. I honestly think it depends on what you want or are going for, with Jace there could be this enemies-to-lovers thing going on that a lot of people enjoy. I think Jace and or OMC/Reader would be your best options.

Until the End
I was caught inside my mistakes and I couldn't give them up I would push out anybody who would come into my life I was scared to open up and let them see inside
'Cause you're every single thing I thought that I could never have And I was so damn lost without you But in the dark you took my hand And you said hold me Pull me in and promise that you won't leave
Until the End - Dean Lewis

They did such a wonderful job. I love the vibes from it.
I was going for Rhagerys coming to King's Landing from Dragonstone and immediately going to Aemond. Anything else did not matter to him. Only Aemond.

Name Day Boys!
In my story Rhagerys and Aemond share a name day. I chose to make it March 8 (Ewan’s birthday). So today is their day 🥳.
Rhagerys was born between the hours of 10-12. The Hour of the Gods.
Aemond was born between the Hour of the Lion (12-2 pm).
The Hours are created by the talented @em-writes-stuff-sometimes. I use the whole day hours she created a lot in my story.
This isn't the first time I’ve drawn these two (I’m slowly getting that picture done). It is the first time I’ve done so in a serious manner. All my other pictures of these two are memes 😅.

It is with great honor and excitement that I present my OC, Rhagerys Targaryen (son of Daemon). Alongside his cousin/lover Aemond Targaryen.
This is all thanks to @elcoffin and their wonderful job at bringing my guy to life. I am forever grateful to them. They were so patient and kind in helping me create the picture and how Rhagerys was to look. I will be singing praises about @elcoffin and their wonderful talent for years to come. Because of them, I have a tangible image of my Rhagerys Targaryen. I am beyond appreciative.
Also a special shout out to @dr-aegon. If it wasn't for them I would have never known that @elcoffin's commissions were open. So, in a way you also helped me see my guy come into existence. Forever thanking you!
The power of reblogs is the reason this all happened.

My OC Rhagerys Targaryen with the two most important men in his life.
His cousin Aemond and his father Daemon. He loves them both dearly. But like any Targaryen it's not a normal/healthy love for either of them...
This wonderful art piece was done by the beyond talented @murmel-malt. They did such a great job at capturing the three of them. I especially love how Rhagerys is looking at Aemond. And how Daemon is so confidently aloof.

Title: Happy Not Valentine's Day
Summary: A Holiday. A Fight. An...arrow? Rhagerys and Aemond have a memorable Valentine's Day.
Warning: Smut. Between two males. Oral (male receiving). A hint of a breeding kink (I'm sorry but they're Targaryens. I'm convinced all Targaryen men have this on some level). Cum stuffing. Cum licking. Cum sharing.
Author’s Note: I told myself that if possible for the last prompt was I was going to write smut. This isn't the first smut I've ever written. But it is the first one I've ever published. So, I am a little unsure how it will come across. Also, I am American, so any British words that may sound wonky or out of place, I did try.
Word Count: 6.6k
Written For: @hotd-bigbang
Dividers created by the wonderfully talented: @zaldritzosrose
It was a chilly late evening at Red Keep Estate. An expanse manor that had been in the Targaryen family for generations. There was powdery snow that was on the ground. It had fallen earlier in the day. There wasn't much, just enough to make the day feel colder than it should have been.
The members of the family had gathered together for Helaena’s twenty first name day. Her name day fell on Valentine’s Day, she would often lament that it wasn’t on July fourteenth, National Be Nice to Bugs Day. The bug theme this year was lovebugs. It sounded cute and right for the holiday but the decorations and cake said otherwise. For her special day all she wanted was her siblings and cousins to come to the estate and celebrate with her.
The majority of the family members either already lived at the Red Keep or arrived the day before. Save for two. Rhagerys and Aemond showed up mid morning of the celebration. The moment the two walked into where everyone else was, the other relatives noticed a tensity between the two. It didn’t ease up over lunch. The two did not want to sit beside one another. Nor in the afternoon when they refused to be on one another’s teams during any board game or other game played. Come dinner the two were not even talking at all. The meal was pleasant enough, Rhagerys and Aemond sat on opposite ends. Aegon tried to get Aemond to say something but was met with an icy glare. Daemon smugly enjoyed the tension between his son and his nephew. Even made some not so subtle observations during the meal.
When the pudding came, Aemond bid his good nights, gave Helaena a kiss upon the head wishing her a happy name day, and briskly walked out of the dining room. One could figure it was because Aemond was not one for sweets, but that night it was obvious he had his fill of being around Rhagerys. The glare he had given Rhagerys was the big indicator for everybody at the table.
Nobody asked or dared ask what was going on between the two. Daemon did corner Rhagerys after the evening meal and told him to either fix the problem or feign merriment come the next day. When Rhagerys gave him a confused look, knowing his father was enjoying the debacle, Daemon pointed out that it was upsetting Alicent. Which just made Rhagerys look more confused. That made Daemon admit that an upset Alicent means an upset Rhaenyra. It took everything in Rhagerys not to roll his eyes at that. What weird little relationship those three had going was not he ever wanted to dwell on.
It was not until very late in the evening when the topic that hung over the day was breached. The adults went to their wing of the estate. The three youngest boys were taken to their bedrooms by their nannies. Baela went to bed early, feigning being tired, Jace followed her rather quickly. Luke and Helaena had stayed up a little longer playing a few video games, with Aegon joining in towards the end. When they had their fill the two left to their respected bedrooms as well. Now it was just Rhagerys, Rhaena, and Aegon. They were sitting in a room with a roaring fire going. Each of them had a mug of cocoa to help warm them up. There was a couple plates of heart shaped biscuits sitting on the coffee table. The majority had been eaten and pilfered by Luke and the three younger boys.
“I have to address the elephant in the very small room.” Aegon handed his cocoa to Rhagerys so he could grab a few biscuits. He plopped down beside Rhagerys and took his mug. “What is going on between you and Aemond?” Aegon devoured a biscuit in two bites. “Because today was an experience.” Aegon continued with his mouth full. “So, dish.”
Rhagerys glanced over at Aegon. “Aemond hates Valentine’s Day.”
Rhaena picked up a pink and red frosted biscuit. She started to nibble on it. “That cannot be the reason he is,” Rhaena paused to swallow. “upset with you. How the day went, there has got to be a bigger reason.”
Aegon laughed. “Aemond was more than upset.” He leaned over to the coffee table and snatched a couple more biscuits off of the plate. “He was livid. No, something is bothering him.” Aegon took a quick sip of his cocoa and chewed on a marshmallow he as able to capture in his mouth. “he was stewing about something.” Aegon took a bite of the biscuit and turned towards Rhagerys. “So, what did you do?”
Rhagerys took a sip of his one cocoa. “Nothing.”
“Liar.” Aegon fake coughed.
Rhaena giggled behind her mug. “I do feel Aegon speaks the truth, dear brother.”
Rhagerys huffed as he leaned over and picked up one of the bigger biscuits. He sat back down before dipping it into his cocoa. “He seems to be upset that I got him some blue roses.” Rhagerys shrugged his shoulders as he took a bite of the now soggy biscuit. “I told him that when I saw them they made me think of him. How they matched his sapphire eye.” Rhagerys took another bite of his biscuit. “I couldn't resist.”
“And that made him mad?” Rhaena gave her brother a confused look. “I’d love to get roses. Especially today.”
“You did get chocolates.” Aegon pointed out. “In a heart shaped box I might add.” Rhaena bashfully smiled at that. Rhagerys looked between the two then stared forward in subtle annoyance.
“Anyway,” Rhagerys pressed on. “it’s Aemond. And now he’s upset with me for ‘wasting money’.” Rhagerys rolled his eyes. “Like almost five hundred pounds is going to bankrupt us.”
“You got him five hundred pounds worth of roses?” Aegon practically yelled. “Damn, no wonder he’s pissed.”
Rhagerys stiffened at that. “I was being romantic!” Rhagerys defensively stated. “And I said 'almost' five hundred pounds.”
“Now I know why he was so quiet at dinner.” Aegon grinned broadly. “Well, Casanova it worked.” Rhagerys looked at Aegon confusedly. “I mean you’re down here with us drinking hot cocoa instead of with Aemond getting some.”
Rhagerys was aghast. “Aegon! Rhaena is right here! Don’t be crude.” He nudged Aegon at such words. Which made Aegon have to balance his mug so it wouldn't spill.
“Rhage,” Rhaena wanted to get her brother's spike of anger away from focusing on Aegon. “I’m fifteen and I know what sex is.” Rhaena took a sip of her drink. “And you two live together.”
Rhagerys turned towards Rhaena, suprised at her nonchalant attitude. “And?” Rhagerys pressed.
“In a one bedroom flat.” Rhaena bluntly said.
“Yeah, Rhage, you’re not as slick as you think you are.” Aegon smiled as he lifted his mug up to take a drink. “And I guess your cock won’t b-”
Rhagerys flew up from his seat. “Alright! That’s more than enough! I’m leaving.”
“No, no don’t go.” Aegon said with laughter in his voice. “Sit.” Aegon sat his mug on the small table beside the couch. “I have a full proof plan to get you two back together.” Aegon got up and moved in front of Rhagerys. Aegon came to Rhagerys’s chest so he had to lift his hands up to place them on his younger cousin’s shoulders. He press down but Rhagerys didn’t budge. “Fuck, forgot how much stronger you are.” Aegon mumbled. “Please sit.” Aegon pressed down again, this time Rhagerys complied. “Stay. I’ll be right back.”
Aegon dashed out of the room. Rhagerys looked over towards Rhaena. “Do you have any idea what he’s going to do?”
Rhaena smiled, shook her head ‘no’, and took another sip of her cocoa.
A few minutes went by. Rhagerys and Rhaena idly chatted ate some biscuits and drank their cocoa. Rhagerys eventually got up and walked over to the floor to ceiling windows. He looked out towards the landscape. It had started to snow again, nothing too heavy though. Rhagerys watched the snow and how it delicately fell from the sky. He had his back to the door.
“Rhage!” Aegon’s voice called out from behind him. Rhagerys turned around.
THWACK!
Something hit Rhagerys square in the forehead.
“I knew those archery lessons would pay off.” Aegon boastfully noted. “Direct hit.”
Rhagerys’s eyes tried to look up at what had it him. A toy arrow. He ripped it off his forehead. “What is this?”
“It’s an arrow.” Aegon said as if it wasn’t obvious. “One of the boy’s toy.”
“I know but why did you shoot me with it?”
“I’m Cupid.” Aegon stated as if that should have been obvious as well. “Now go find Aemond and fall madly in love.”
Rhagerys rubbed his forehead and let out a long sigh. “Aegon, Cupid’s arrow makes the person fall in love with the first person they see.”
The realization dawned on Aegon. “Oh,” he smiled. “you falling in love with me instead?”
Rhagerys made a frustrated face. “No! I-” Rhagerys stopped his train of thought and touched his forehead again. It was wet. “Did you lick this?” Rhagerys asked in disgust as he shook the arrow at Aegon. He realized his fingers that touched his forehead was somewhat wet as well.
“No.” Aegon answered.
“Then why is it we-”
“Sunfyre did though.” Aegon added.
Rhagerys yelled out and threw the arrow at Aegon. “Absolutely disgusting! What the fuck is wrong with you?” Rhagerys started to storm out of the room. He paused by the coffee table and grabbed the plate that had more biscuits on it. “Now I have dog germs on me!” He shouted as he made his way out of the room. He was still loudly complaining as he went down the hallway.
Aegon turned to look at Rhaena. He smiled triumphantly. “Boy, I wonder where he’s going?” He mockingly asked.
Rhaena only smiled. She got up from her chair and sat upon the floor in front of the fireplace. She turned towards Aegon and gestured for him to come sit beside her. “Alright Cupid, you did wonderful, now come here.”
Aegon closed the door. He grabbed a blanket as he walked by one of the couches. Aegon delicately wrapped Rhaena up in it. He went to pick up the arrow that Rhagerys had thrown at him. He walked over to Rhaena and gently tapped her with the suction cup end. “Looks like you've been struck by Cupid's arrow.” Rhaena looked up at him with a smirk. Aegon turned towards the coffee table to grab the plate of remaining biscuits. He sat upon the floor beside Rhaena and placed the biscuits to his right. “Happy Valentine's Day.”
“Well, Cupid's arrow did hit his target. Twice.” Rhaena opened up the blanket so Aegon could join her. “You did good.” She gave a quick peck to his cheek. “Happy Valentine's Day.” Aegon smiled softly as he returned a soft kiss to her temple. Rhaena laid her head upon his shoulder. “Thank you for the chocolates.”

Rhagerys made his way the room he and Aemond were sharing. Aemond was lounging quietly on the bed reading. He watched Rhagerys burst through the door, slam it, set a plate upon the small table, and march towards the bathroom.
Aemond didn’t look up from his book. “And why are you here?”
“Because your stupid brother got dog germs on me.” Rhagerys angrily spat from the bathroom. He had a wash cloth and was scrubbing his forehead. “Otherwise I’d still be downstairs enjoying the late hour drinking cocoa, eating biscuits, and watching the snow fall.”
“You can still go back down once you’re done.” Aemond pointed out.
Rhagerys appeared in the bathroom doorway. “No, Aegon ruined it. Besides,” Rhagerys walked towards the bed. He climbed onto it and reclined next to Aemond. “I missed you.”
Aemond gave a very obvious eye roll. “I have been here since dinner ended.”
“Yeah, you missed some really good pudding.” Rhagerys lifted his hand up and tucked some of Aemond’s hair behind his ear. “Don’t worry, I ate yours. I did bring you some biscuits, though.” He gestured towards the small table across the room.
“I don't like sweets, you know that.” Aemond huffed and batted away Rhagerys’s hand as he untucked his hair. “Besides, I’m still mad at you.”
“All this over fucking roses.” Rhagerys muttered.
Aemond turned the page to his book. “Five hundred pounds worth.” He said under his breath.
Rhagerys gave an indignant look. “Almost five hundred.”
“Still too much for something that will die within a week.”
“Two weeks.” Rhagerys corrected.
Aemond lightly shook his head in frustration. “I don't know why you bothered.”
Rhagerys opened his mouth to say something but closed it. Rhagerys crossed his arms to emphasize his stance on the matter. “I’m not apologizing.”
Aemond turned another page to the book in his hand. “Then don't.” He bit back. Aemond went back to reading and ignoring Rhagerys.
Rhagerys sat quietly beside Aemond. He would glance every so often towards him. Aemond pointedly kept his eye on the book. Whether he was actually reading Rhagerys wasn't too sure. He hadn't turned the page for a bit and Rhagerys knew Aemond was a quick reader. Rhagerys took a breath in. He was upset that Aemond was upset. He was quite frustrated that Aemond would see getting flowers as a “waste of money” and that “doing such things was pointless”. Rhagerys chewed at his lip, trying to figure out how he could apologize without actually apologizing. He did the only thing that came to his mind. Rhagerys sat up, turned towards Aemond, and snatched the book from his hands.
“Hey! Give that back!” Aemond said with a raised voice as he grabbed at Rhagerys.
Rhagerys easily dodged Aemond's hands and got up from the bed. He dashed across the expansive room. “Make me.” Rhagerys all but taunted Aemond. “If you want it, come and get it.”
Aemond scoffed. “Don't be childish.” However, he rose up from the bed and made his way across the room to Rhagerys. He was a couple feet away when he stopped. “Hand it over,” Aemond crossed his arms and outstretched his right hand. “now.”
“And if I don't?” Rhagerys tested the waters. “What will you do?”
Aemond smiled at that. He retracted his hand and recrossed his arms. He tilted his head. “Nothing.” He stressed the word. “For some time.” He stared up at Rhagerys daring him to call his bluff.
Rhagerys immediately picked up on the implication. The smile he had dropped. “All this over a book?” He loosened his grip upon the said book. Aemond saw his chance and snatched it from Rhagerys's hands. “Seriously, all this over a book?”
Aemond exhaled in frustration. “No, this is not over a book.” Aemond shook said book at Rhagerys. “I am frustrated with you.”
Rhagerys knew why Aemond was frustrated. The gift of roses hung above the two like a broad sword ready to drop on them. He knew that being the one to admit fault first in this situation was needed. He gave a small smile as he looked to Aemond. “I am-”
Aemond lightly shook his head. He held his hand up to stop Rhagerys from speaking. “You don't have to apologize. I know you want to, but there is honestly no reason to.”
Rhagerys's eyes widened and he threw his hands up in the air. “Then what do you want, Aemond? Tell me and I will do it.”
“You don't need to do anything.” Aemond walked over to the small table and dropped the book upon it beside the biscuits.
Rhagerys followed Aemond. “Are you honestly that upset over the flowers?” Rhagerys reached out his hand but retracted it. “I'll remove them from the flat the moment we get back.” His voice was delicate.
Aemond didn't look at Rhagerys. He kept his back to him. “No, don't do that.”
Rhagerys took a deep breath in. “Aemond, you have to tell me what is wrong then.” His voice was raised just a little “I cannot read your mind.”
Aemond looked towards the window. He took in the snowy landscape. He clenched his jaw at, what he perceived as a ridiculous reason, even though he know it was not true. At least not with Rhagerys. “I'm upset with myself that I truly enjoyed that you got them for me.” A small smile danced across his face. “That I got so inside my own head at something you did for me.” He turned around to look at Rhagerys with an intensity. “That something as simple as flowers made me feel happy, wanted.” His face softened a little. “That something done out of love makes me feel...” He trailed off not wanting to finish his thought. He had been learning, with help from Rhagerys, to stop saying he wasn't good enough. He didn't understand that he could so easily tell Rhagerys to stop having those thoughts, but to him they were always at the forefront of his mind.
Rhagerys's mouth slightly fell open. He knew exactly what Aemond was alluding to. It was something the two of them have been slowly working on together. That they each are good enough, more than enough, for each other. “Oh, Aemond,” His voice as beyond soft.
“Don't.” Aemond warned as he took a step back. The intensity back on his face. “Do not patronize me.”
Rhagerys lightly shook his head. He slowly closed the gap between himself and Aemond. He engulfed him in a hug and pulled him close. “I would never.” He tightened his grip. “I gave you those roses because I wanted to see you happy.” Rhagerys started to run his hand through Aemond's hair. “I love you, Aemond.”
Aemond relaxed into the hug. He rested his head upon Rhagerys's shoulder. “I know, I know you do. It's just,” Aemond took a shaky breath in. “you do so much and I do so little.”
Rhagerys frowned at that to himself. “You don't have to do anything.” His frown turned into a soft smile.
Aemond tried to shake his head the best he could. “But I should, Rhage. You're not the only one in this relationship. I love you and I barely show it.”
Rhagerys pulled Aemond off his shoulder and gently moved him away from himself. He took a hold of Aemond's shoulders. “You show it. In so many ways, you show it. You're just way more subtle than I am.” Rhagerys chuckled. “You show it by cooking the meals, by doing my laundry and putting away my clothing, by sitting quietly with me while I watch some asinine show, by making the tea and having some cake with me,” Rhagerys laughed a little. “which I know you no taste for such sweetness. You'll still have a piece just for me.” Rhagerys smiled sweetly. “But when you just sit with me and we talk about our days those are the moments I cherish the most. Aemond,” Rhagerys squeezed Aemond's shoulders and looked lovingly into Aemond's eye. “You show it by just being with me. I don't need grand gestures, I just need you.”
Aemond shook his head again and looked away. “I hate that you know what to say.” His words sounded harsh but there was a smile upon his face.
Rhagerys gave a small snort. “You love it.” Rhagerys tilted his head to get Aemond to look at him. “So, did you really like the roses?”
Aemond looked up at Rhagerys. “I did.” Aemond smiled, genuinely. “More than you know.” He reached his hands up to cup Rhagerys's face. “I apologize for how childish I've been today.”
Rhagerys dropped his hands and placed them on his waist. “I'm not. Because I know you'll make up for it.” Rhagerys grinned. “And then some.”
Aemond narrowed his eye but kept the smile. “I’m not letting you fuck me because it’s Valentine’s Day.” Aemond moved to cross his arms. “It’s a stupid holiday and I won’t take part in any of it.”
Rhagerys took a step back and dramatically placed a hand upon his chest. “You think so low of me?”
Aemond quirked an eyebrow. “I am privy to your past work.”
“I can fuck you on every holiday but Valentine’s Day is out?” Rhagerys asked as he threw his hands up. “Fine,” he smiled slyly. “We’ll do everything but that.”
“Rhage it’s,” Aemond looks toward the clock on the mantle. “it’s eleven o’ clock. The day is almost over.”
Rhagerys took a hold of Aemond’s waist and pulled him close. “Then I better get started.”
~Midnight~
Rhagerys and Aemond lie in bed. The two are naked, under a sheet as Rhagerys held Aemond to him. He lightly stroked Aemond's back. Both had a bit of a blissed out look to them. The clock in the room chimed twelve times.
“It’s midnight.” Aemond offhandedly stated. “It’s not Valentine’s Day anymore.”
“…Alright.” Rhagerys wasn’t sure what Aemond was getting at. “Happy not Valentine’s Day?”
Aemond sat up. Rhagerys’s arm fell to his stomach. Aemond turned towards his cousin and gave him an exasperated look. “It’s not Valentine’s Day anymore.” He repeated.
Rhagerys just looked up at him with a little confusion. He raised his eyebrows and vaguely shook his head. “I heard the clock as well.”
Aemond huffed and ripped the sheet off of them. A smile crept onto his face. “Gods, you’re stupid sometimes.” He leaned down and gave Rhagerys a kiss upon the lips. He kissed along Rhagerys’s jawline, down his neck, to his chest. He moved to a kneeling position beside Rhagerys as he lightly moved his hair from his face. Aemond continued to kiss along Rhagerys’s chest, down his stomach, towards his destination.
That was when it hit Rhagerys what Aemond was wanting to do. “Aemond, you don’t have to.”
Aemond lifted his head up to look at Rhagerys, he gave him a smile and tsked. “I don’t like Valentine’s Day, but I love you. So, let me show you how much.”
Rhagerys reached out and took a weak hold of Aemond's arm. “I know how much you do.”
Aemond easily removed his arm from Rhagerys's grasp. “You pleased me, now let me please you.” Aemond got off the bed and went towards the end of it. “Spread your legs.”
Rhagerys instead moved to a sitting position with his back against the headboard. Then he spread his legs. “I want to be able to watch you.” A sly grin appeared on his face.
Aemond’s response was to climb upon the bed and go to where Rhagerys waited. When he got to Rhagerys, he gave him a quick kiss upon the lips. He then moved down, got into position, and took a hold of Rhagerys's cock. He gave it a couple pumps before he leaned down and slowly took it in his mouth.
A quiet, sharp breath came from Rhagerys. “Aemond.” he said above a whisper.
Aemond hummed at the acknowledgment. Which made Rhagerys take another sharp breath in and slightly grit his teeth. Aemond internally smiled at that. He continued to slowly take Rhagerys's cock in inch by inch. He pulled up when he was half way down.
“Too much?” Rhagerys had a grin upon his face.
Aemond looked up at Rhagerys and made a mock snide face. He moved his head back down to take Rhagerys's cock in his mouth again. This time he tried to do it in one motion. He made it a little further but Rhagerys's cock hit the back of his throat quicker than he was ready for. Aemond made a gag noise and pulled back up. He coughed a bit and took a couple breaths in to collect himself. “Maybe if your cock wasn't so big.” Aemond groused as he wiped the drool dripping from his mouth.
“You can't blame me for my cock size.” Rhagerys smiled. “Blame my father.”
Aemond was not amused. “What have I said about bringing your father up in moments like this?”
Rhagerys gave a sheepish smile. “Do it often and a lot?”
There was not even a hint of a smile upon Aemond's face. He started to get up from his spot.
“No, wait,” Rhagerys placed his hand to Aemond's shoulder. “I'm sorry,” Rhagerys moved his hand to lightly stroke Aemond's cheek. “but, my cock size isn't going to change. You know that,” Rhagerys smiled. “you've done this plenty times before. So, just go slow.” Rhagerys removed his hand from Aemond and placed it at his side.
Aemond nodded in agreement. “Fine. You're not allowed to move your hands from your side.” Aemond got back into his position. He took Rhagerys's cock in his hand and gave it a quick lick. Which got a sharp inhale from Rhagerys. “So, you better cling to those sheets if you want me to continue.” Rhagerys gripped the sheets on either side of him. He looked down at Aemond letting him know he could continue. “That's a good boy.” Aemond praised.
Aemond, once again, took Rhagerys's cock in his mouth. This time slowly, he got to where he was half way down. He took a breath in and made himself press on. Aemond was able to get down to the base. He instinctively swallowed around Rhagerys's cock. A small gag feeling was felt in his throat but he pushed it away. He pulled up slowly and gasped as he removed the cock out of his mouth. He gave a small lick to the slit as a little cum started to leak out.
Rhagerys gave a small huff at that. He reached down and lightly ran his hand down Aemond's face. “Keep going.”
Aemond stayed where he was. “I told you not to move your hands.”
Rhagerys retracted his hand and slammed it back on the bed. “Forgot. It's just that your talented mouth had-”
Aemond raised his hand to get Rhagerys to stop before he waxed poetry to him. “Alright, alright.” He took Rhagerys's cock back into his mouth and started to bob his head up and down. He made sucking noises every so often. He could feel Rhagerys's cock get hard in his mouth. He glanced up to look at Rhagerys through his lashes. He could tell Rhagerys was enjoying what he was doing, that he was getting close. Aemond pulled off of Rhagerys's cock with a wet pop. He sat up on his knees.
Rhagerys's grip loosened on the bed sheet. He looked up at Aemond. His eyes were blown with lust and his breathing was heavy. “Why did you stop?” Rhagerys asked breathlessly. Aemond only smiled as he moved to straddle Rhagerys. Rhagerys looked up at Aemond. “Never mind,” Rhagerys grinned as he lifted his hands up to help Aemond get comfortable. “Need my cock that bad, huh?”
Aemond gave Rhagerys an impish grin and removed Rhagerys's hands. “No touching.” Rhagerys lifted his hands up letting Aemond know he understood before he laid them back on the bed. Aemond slowly rocked back and forth, rubbing their cocks together.
“Aemond,” Rhagerys lowly warned. “I need you to-”
Aemond moved again wit a bit more friction. “What do you need?”
Rhagerys sucked in a breath through his teeth as he closed his eyes. “Aemond, please,” Rhagerys thickly swallowed. “I need you to stop teasing.”
Aemond tilted his head in mock sad face. “Poor boy.” A smile crept onto his face. “Let me help you.”
Aemond lifted himself up. “I don't have to prepare myself thanks to you.” That got a small smile from Rhagerys. He took a hold of Rhagerys cock, getting a hiss from Rhagerys. He slowly sunk onto Rhagerys's cock, and closed his eye at the feeling. He didn't make a noise until he was fully sheathed. A moan escaped his throat as he opened his eye back up and looked down at Rhagerys. “Gods, Rhage.”
Rhagerys was looking up at Aemond, eyes blown even more so with lust. “I live to serve.” Rhagerys placed his hands upon Aemond's hips. “However, if you don't move, I will move you.”
“I said no touching.” Aemond placed his hands on top of Rhagerys's and removed them from himself. He kept a hold of them as he slowly moved his hips. He lifted himself up and down on Rhagerys's cock. He silently enjoyed the feel of Rhagerys's cock over and over, inch by inch. He let go of Rhagerys's hands and placed his own onto Rhagerys's chest. He closed his eye and just enjoyed the feel from the motion.
Rhagerys dropped his hands to his side. He silently watched Aemond ride him. He couldn't help but smile as he looked up at his cousin. Rhagerys was happy to see him enjoy himself. “Mmph, fuck, Aemond.” Rhagerys gasped out at the sudden shift in Aemond's movement. “You keep that up, I'm not going to last.”
Aemond leaned down and gave Rhagerys a deep kiss. “You're not going to last regardless.” Aemond moved to sit up and then grinded on Rhagerys's cock.
Rhagerys swore quietly. “Fucking, hells, Aemond.” Aemond laughed at that. Rhagerys jutted his hips up in retaliation. Which made Aemond gasp out. “How do you like that?”
Aemond looked down at Rhagerys. “Do it again.” He commanded.
Rhagerys did as he was told but as he fucked up into Aemond, Aemond lifted up and sunk back down on Rhagerys's cock, meeting him in the movement. “Just like that, Rhage.” Aemond directed. He started to quicken his pace as he rode Rhagerys.
Rhagerys took a hold of Aemond's hips and stopped him from moving. A slight whine escaped Aemond's lips. Rhagerys smiled up at Aemond and started to thrust up. The sound of skin hitting skin was the only noise in the room, save for a handful of moans escaping each of them. Aemond threw his head back, his hair brushing against Rhagerys's legs as he enjoyed the feeling of Rhagerys's cock fucking him over and over again.
“Gods, you look beautiful.” Rhagerys breathed out. He slowed his pace as he marveled at the sight before him. “You take my cock so well.”
Aemond moved his head down to look at Rhagerys. A lust filled smile graced his lips. He moved so he could place his hands upon Rhagerys's shoulders and leaned down. “Claim me.” He hungrily kissed Rhagerys upon the mouth. Their tongues briefly battled for control, but Rhagerys relented and let Aemond have the control. Aemond moved his hands up to cup Rhagerys's face. The two continued their kiss until Aemond pulled away quickly. He leaned his forehead on Rhagerys's. “I said, 'claim me'.” Aemond moved away from Rhagerys and looked down at him with expectation. He grinding on Rhagerys's cock for emphasis.
Rhagerys closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. He opened his eyes and answered by leaning up and pulling Aemond to him. He gently kissing Aemond's lips. He kissed his jawline, down his neck, back up to capture Aemond's lips once more. He pulled Aemond close to him, deepening the kiss. Rhagerys broke off the kiss and looked up into Aemond's eye. Both of their eyes were blown with lust. “I'm going to breed you.” Rhagerys lowly said. He took a strong hold of Aemond's body and pulled him close. Then with some maneuvering Rhagerys flipped Aemond onto his back. His cock slipped out of Aemond. “And I'll claim you all right.”
“All talk.” Aemond teased.
Rhagerys looped his arms under Aemond's knees and pulled him close. “And your bold words.” Rhagerys slammed into Aemond, making his cousin arch his back in surprise and pleasure. A groan ripped from Aemond's throat. “Am I still 'all talk'?” Rhagerys teased.
Aemond couldn't answer with words, but he reached up and pulled Rhagerys to him. He kissed Rhagerys with such fervent need. He broke the kiss off, panting heavily. He ran his hands up and down Rhagerys's chest. Aemond still didn't say a word, he let his actions show Rhagerys he wanted him to continue.
Rhagerys slowly pulled his cock out to just where the tip was still in. He didn't move, as much as he desperately wanted to. Aemond let out a whine and moved downwards. Rhagerys held him in his place. “Absolutely not.” Rhagerys pulled back. “You're mine, now.” Rhagerys leaned down a little. “And you know what I want to hear.”
Aemond let out a short, angry scoff.
Rhagerys didn't move. “And no sarcasm. I want you to mean it.” He slowly moved his cock into Aemond just a bit.
Aemond took a deep breath in and let it out. He looked longingly up into Rhagerys's eyes. “Please, Rhage, make me yours.” Aemond gave a hint of a smile “Ruin me.” he whispered.
Rhagerys grinned. “Stroke you cock while you ask me.”
“Gods, Rhage.” Aemond moved his right hand his own weeping cock. He took the precum from the tip and slicked up his cock. He started to stroke it, he closed his eye at the sensation. Aemond opened his eye back up, lust beyond evident, and looked up at Rhagerys. “Please, Rhage,”
“Fuck yourself on my cock as well.” Rhagerys bluntly said as his grin grew wider.
Aemond let out a sigh as he tried to look upset. Rhagerys pushed his cock a little into his cousin. Which made Aemond clench his jaw and stroke himself quicker. Aemond started to move himself on Rhagerys's hard cock, slowly getting a rhythm going. “Rhage, my love,” Aemond grunted at a particular sensation from an angle he moved his hips at. “I want, need you to claim me. Cum inside me, make me yours,” Aemond sunk completely onto Rhagerys's cock. “breed me.” He said in a heavy, lust filled voice.
Rhagerys gave a lust filled smile at hearing that. “Since you asked so nicely.” Rhagerys took a firm grip of Aemond's legs. He hooked Aemond's left leg over his shoulder. Rhagerys pulled his cock out to where just the tip was in. He slammed it back into Aemond in one quick movement. He started to move at a brutal, fast pace. “I know I'm not going, fuck,” Rhagerys moaned out. “last much longer.” Aemond could only groan in response.
No words were spoken between the two. Just skin slapping against skin. Moans and groans escaping from them as they crashed their lips into the others mouth. Their kisses started to turn sloppy as they both could feel their ends coming.
Aemond broke the kiss first. “Rhage, I'm,” Aemond started to stroke his cock faster, with more of a purpose.
“Cum for me,” Rhagerys grunted out as his own movements became a bit erratic as he chased his own end. “my lovely dragon.”
Aemond's eye rolled to the back of his head. He threw his head back and moaned. His cum splattered all over his stomach as he clumsily stroked himself to completion. He continued to meet Rhagerys's own thrusts. “Fuck me as I cum.” he directed.
“I don't know if I could stop if I wanted to, love. I'm almost at my end.” Rhagerys keep fucking Aemond. “Just a little more.”
Aemond was lying there trying to gather himself again. He moved his hand up to run his hand up and down Rhagerys's chest. “Fill me with your seed,” Aemond stopped his hand at Rhagerys's neck, he gave it a light squeeze. “breed me.”
That was all Rhagerys needed, he toppled over the edge. He buried himself deep into Aemond as he pumped his cousin full of his seed. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Rhagerys grunted out. He silently moaned. “I'm yours.” Rhagerys lightly collapsed into Aemond's arms. He was breathing a little heavily, trying to gather himself.
Aemond wrapped his arms around Rhagerys. “And I am yours.” Aemond lightly stroked Rhagerys's back.
Rhagerys slowly got up off of Aemond. He gently pulled himself out of Aemond. A little cum dripped out. Rhagerys looked up at Aemond, without breaking eye contact he pushed the cum back into him. Which got a low groan from Aemond as he arched his back. Rhagerys then moved up off the bed. “Stay here, let me get a wash cloth to clean you up.” Rhagerys made his way into the bathroom.
Aemond lazily placed his hands behind his head. “I'm surprised you don't want clean me up the other way.”
Rhagerys stopped. He looked behind him and saw the lopsided grin Aemond had on his face. A silent challenge in his eye. Rhagerys would easily rise to it. “If you insist.” He made his way back to the bed. He tucked his hair back as leaned down. With no hesitation Rhagerys licked up the majority of Aemond's cum from his stomach. He stood up and looked towards Aemond, mouth full of cum, and waiting further instructions.
Aemond looked at Rhagerys a long moment. “Well, since you've been so good to me, come and give me a kiss.”
Rhagerys moved over just a little then leaned down and kissed Aemond. He coaxed Aemond's mouth open by lightly sticking his tongue out and getting Aemond to open. He then spit some of Aemond's cum into his mouth. Rhagerys moved back and stood to his full height, he swallowed the remaining cum in his mouth loudly. He then smiled down at Aemond. “Swallow.”
Aemond closed mouth smiled at Rhagerys and did as he was told. He swallowed just as loudly as Rhagerys did. “Now you can go get a wash cloth.” He casually gestured.
Rhagerys nodded his head and went to the bathroom. He came back with a wet cloth and wiped up the remaining cum on Aemond's stomach. He then balled up the wash cloth and tossed it towards the bathroom.
“Couldn't be bothered to take it back?” Aemond asked as he moved over to the left side of the bed.
Rhagerys climbed in on right side, pulled up the covers, and laid down. “That's a problem for morning me.” Before he could gesture for Aemond to come lie with him, Aemond was already making himself comfortable.
Aemond laid his head upon Rhagerys's chest, tucked his left arm close to him, and draped his right over Rhagerys's chest. “You say that now, but I feel that is going to be a problem for morning me.”
Rhagerys gave a light laugh at that. “No, I promise, I'll pick it up.” He wrapped his right arm around Aemond and tightened his grip. “How are you feeling?” He started to idly stroke Aemond's shoulder. “I wasn't too rough was I?”
“No.”
“You feel fine?” Rhagerys moved his hand up to Aemond's hair and started to gently play with it. “I wasn't too much for you?” Rhagerys smiled to himself. “My cock wasn't too much?”
“Crass.” Aemond gave Rhagerys a small, harmless slap upon Rhagerys's chest. “Your cock is more than enough. Now,” Aemond snuggled as close as he could to Rhagerys. “let's get some sleep. We're leaving tomorrow after breakfast.”
“Sounds good. I do hope they're serving porridge tomorrow. I'm craving it.” Rhagerys moved his hand from Aemond's hair and went back to lightly stroking Aemond's arm.
Silence fell between the two. The room was quiet. The only noises were the ticking of the clock. The crackling of the fireplace. Their soft breathing.
Aemond smiled as he closed his eye at the soft feeling of Rhagerys's fingers. “Thank you for the roses.” His words were above a whisper. “And I'll make sure the cook makes you porridge whether or not it is on the menu.”
Rhagerys smiled then leaned down and kissed Aemond's head. It was a quiet way of letting him know he appreciated how much Aemond cared for him.
Tumblr media
Author's note: I do hope it wasn't too much or too dirty. I did hold back a little in certain areas and words.
And I don't know if England celebrates National Be Nice to Bugs Day but I couldn't resist. And I decided that Helaena having her name day on February 14th was just a cute idea.
In this story Daemon, Rhaenyra, and Alicent are that Parks and Rec meme with April and her boyfriends, but Daemon is April.
For the story Rhaena is 16. So that would make Rhaerys, Aemond, and Jace 19. Baela 18. Luke 17. Aegon 23. Helaena turned 21. It may be a modern setting but they're still Targaryens.
I'm also in the camp where Aemond doesn't like sweets but if he had to he would have some.
Also a little trivia: In my writing I always have Aemond sleep on the left side of the bed and Rhagerys on the right. So when they lay on their sides to face one another, Aemond can see Rhagerys with his one working eye.

Prompt: Trope Week
Trope Chosen: Seeing s/o in a dress/suit for the first time trope. Modern AU.
Summary: A request makes Aemond question himself.
Pairing: Aemond Targaryen x OMC
Warning: None really. Just a hint of angst. Gender confusion (I guess?).
Author's Note: This was supposed to be a fun little story but turned into someone questioning themselves and needing reassurance. Could Aemond be OOC? Not for my story he's not. Somewhat inspired by a scene from 'She's All That' and the song 'Neon' by Livingston (the title definitely is).
Dedicated to @ewanmitchellcrumbs for giving me the courage to start showing off my writings.

If You Saw Yourself Like I Do, You Wouldn't Wonder
“Aemond? You doing all right in there?” Rhagerys called out from the living room.
“Fine!” Aemond quickly answered from the bedroom. “Why?”
“Dunno, just taking a bit longer than I thought you would. Do you need help?” Rhagerys yelled as he started for the hallway.
“No! I’m coming.”
Rhagerys stopped and turned around back to the living room. He sat upon the couch and waited. He started to scroll through his phone looking for something to go with what was going on.
“All right, I'm coming out.” Aemond finally said.
Aemond walked down the hallway towards the living room. He could not believe he let Rhagerys talk him into doing this.
~You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress~
Aemond made a confused face at hearing music coming from the living room. He made his way into the room. His eye locked with Rhagerys’s just as the lyrics played:
~Oh, kiss me under the milky twilight~
Rhagerys's mouth fell slightly open. He got a small smile upon his face. He stared at Aemond completely mesmerized.
“Wow.” Rhagerys breathed out.
“What the fuck is this?” Aemond demanded as he gestured towards Rhagerys.
“Oh, uh,” Rhagerys lifted up his phone and read it. “‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None The Richer.”
“Why is it playing?”
“Because I saw it in a movie?” Rhagerys sheepishly answered with a smile.
Aemond was quite unamused.
“That doesn’t explain,” Aemond sighed frustratedly. “shut it off,”
Rhagerys turned the song off.
“That doesn’t explain why it was playing.”
“In the movie it was playing during the scene where the girl is revealed to be in a pretty dress after a makeover. And the guy was mesmerized by her.”
Aemond stood there stoically.
“And I knew upon seeing you in,” Rhagerys gestured at Aemond. “I’d feel the same way.” Rhagerys shrugged his shoulders. “I was trying to set a mood.”
“You set a mood alright.”
“A good one?” Rhagerys tried to joke.
Aemond crossed his arms. There was not a hint of humor on his face.
“An…okay one?” Rhagerys said more meekly.
The two cousins just quietly stared at one another.
“You do look pretty.” Rhagerys finally said. “The dress fits you well.”
Aemond shifted his jaw just a little.
“The thoughts going through my mind right now.” Rhagerys said with a sly grin. “I may have to buy you a dress in every color.”
Aemond was done. He took a sharp, frustrated breath in and turned around to walk back down the hallway.
“Wait, Aemond,” Rhagery got up from his seat and followed. “Aemond.”
Aemond, ignored Rhagerys and continued on into their bedroom. He shut the door quickly and locked it.
Rhagerys, who was right behind him, had the door slammed in his face. He tried the knob even though he heard the click of the lock.
“Come on, Aemond. I meant nothing by doing that. Or saying that.” Rhagerys said as he jiggled the doorknob. “I’m not quite sure what you’re mad at me for.” Rhagerys knocked on the door. “It just felt right in the moment.”
There was silence from the other side.
Rhagerys leaned his back against the door.
“You know I’m strong enough to bust this door down.” Rhagerys hollowly threatened.
“Do that and you’re not only paying for a new door, you are also installing it. And for good measure you will be sleeping on the couch for a good month.” Aemond answered, though he did sound muffled.
“And unlike me, you will follow through with your threats.” Rhagerys confirmed.
Silence fell between the two.
“I did mean what I said, you look pretty. Gorgeous even.”
Rhagerys could feel a thump on the door. Aemond was leaning against it on the other side.
“Did I go too far?” Rhagerys genuinely asked.
A beat of silence.
“No.” Aemond answered.
“Then tell me what I did wrong.”
Aemond didn't answer.
“I was just so caught up in being able to see you in a dress for the first time, I wanted to make it memorable.” Rhagerys leaned his head back against the door. “You take my breath away, Aemond. No matter what you wear. And seeing you in that dress, something you most definitely did not have to do for me, reminded me of how much I adore you. How lucky I am to have you.”
There was no sound from the other side. Rhagerys let out a sigh.
“Aemond-” Rhagerys began.
The door unlocked and was jerked open in one swift movement. Rhagerys fell backwards quick and hard to the floor with a high pitched yell.
“My back…” Rhagerys wheezed out.
Aemond looked down at Rhagerys with a hand on one hip and the other on the door.
“You know this isn’t the first time that has happened to you, you think you would know better by now.”
Rhagerys slowly sat up, took a deep breath in, and just smiled up at Aemond.
“What can I say? I get so caught up by how much I need to profess my love for-”
“Alright, alright.” Aemond said exasperatedly. “Get up.” He said with an eye roll and a slight smile.
Rhagerys stood up and rubbed his back.
“I’m definitely going to feel that tomorrow.” Rhagerys muttered.
Rhagerys turned towards Aemond and gave him a once over. He couldn't help but smile. Aemond looked at Rhagerys but quickly looked away when their eyes met.
“I am sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable.” Rhagerys admitted.
“You didn’t.”
“Aemond, you can tell me if I did.”
Aemond moved away from the door and walked to the full length mirror. He examined himself in the mirror. He took a hold of the hem with both hands and did a little, hesitant sway.
“No, you didn’t.” Aemond reaffirmed.
“Then what’s the problem? The design?”
Aemond shook his head 'no'.
“I told you earlier that if you didn’t want to wear the dress-” Rhagerys tried to explain again.
Aemond’s eye connected with Rhagerys’s eyes through the mirror.
“I am wearing it, am I not?” Aemond pointedly asked as he dropped his hands.
“But if it’s to placate me and my,” Rhagerys frivolously gestured with his hands. “Little fantasy. You can take it off and I’ll get rid of it.”
“It’s not that.” Aemond said as he looked away.
“Then what is it?” Rhagerys asked more forcefully. “Tell me what the prob-”
Aemond whipped around to face Rhagerys. There was a tension on his face.
“I didn’t expect to actually like it as much as I do.”
Rhagerys could only stare at Aemond after hearing that.
“….oh.” Was all Rhagerys could whisper out. “Aemond…” Rhagerys was at a loss of what to say.
“You’ve worn dresses plenty of times before.” Aemond pointed out. “So I don't know why...” Aemond stopped talking, he could feel his face getting red from embarrassment.
“I was younger and played dress up with Rhaena and Baela.” Rhagerys offered up.
Aemond tilted his head in exasperation at Rhagerys.
“You wore one a year ago.”
“It was Rhaena’s Name Day and she had a theme. Masquerade.” Rhagerys said with a shrug.
“Five months ago?” Aemond pressed.
Rhagerys had to quickly calculate when that was.
“It was Sevenmas and the kids wanted to put on a little play. I had no problem dressing as the Mother.”
Aemond huffed out in annoyance. “Last week?” He deadpanned.
Rhagerys slightly narrowed his eyes at the memory of letting Helaena dress Aegon and him up just because. Aemond had refused, but Rhagerys remembered him watching the three intently.
“Why are you bringing all this up?” Rhagerys tentatively asked.
“Because!” Aemond practically shouted. “Because,” he said in a calmer voice. “I shouldn’t…” Aemond took a deep breath in. “I shouldn’t like wearing dresses. It is beneath me.”
“Plenty of men-”
“Do not compare me to other men.” Aemond warned.
Rhagerys took a slow breath in.
“Aemond, do you trust me?” Rhagerys asked cautiously.
“You know I do.” Aemond answered without hesitation.
Rhagerys knew his next few words had to be carefully said. He walked up to Aemond, put his hands on his shoulders, and turned him around. He walked him to the mirror.
“Do know who I see?” Rhagerys gently asked.
“I’m not playing this game.” Aemond flatly answered.
“It’s not a game.” Rhagerys moved his hands down to Aemond’s upper arms. “Do you know who I see?” Rhagerys asked again.
“Who?” Aemond answered as he looked away from his reflection.
“The bravest, strongest man I have ever known.”
Aemond gave a small snort and rolled his eye.
“I mean it, Aemond. It takes a lot of courage to do something like this. I do it because I don’t care.” Rhagerys wrapped his arms around Aemond’s upper body. “You did it because you do care.” He gave a soft kiss upon the side of Aemond’s head. “You care so much about pleasing me that you lost yourself for a moment.” Rhagerys gave Aemond another kiss to his cheek this time. “I’m here to let you know that this,” Rhagerys tightened his grip on Aemond. “This is you. It always has been.” Rhagerys gave Aemond another kiss to the cheek. “A brave man who cares. It just took a while for it to show.”
“I feel…” Aemond looked down.
“If you want me to help you take it off I will.” Rhagerys reassured.
Aemond didn’t say anything just stared at the floor.
“Darling?” Rhagerys whispered as he let go of Aemond.
Aemond looked back up and at himself in the mirror.
“I feel confused.” Aemond finally admitted.
“Life is confusing.”
“I like it,” Aemond turned to face Rhagerys. “But I also hate it.”
“That’s normal. If you want to keep doing this,” Rhagerys motioned towards the dress. “the hatred will eventually go away. I’ll be with you every step.”
“This stays between us.” Aemond stared down Rhagerys. “It stays only in this flat.” Aemond sternly said.
“I would never betray your trust. This is too important.”
Aemond made an unsure face.
“I’m in a dress, it’s not that big of a deal.”
“This conversation says different.” Rhagerys stated.
Aemond turned back around to face the mirror again.
“All of this because I made an off handed comment about a dress.”
Rhagerys walked up behind Aemond.
“You said it looked ‘pretty’ and wondered what it would look like, feel like wearing it.”
“Still. I didn’t think you would,” Aemond motioned to himself.
“I heard you and I wanted to please you.”
Aemond looked at Rhagerys in the mirror His face softened at hearing that. He turned to Rhagerys and looked up at him. A flash of vulnerability appeared.
“Please, don’t ever stop listening to me.” Aemond quietly said.
Rhagerys could see the desperate plea in Aemond’s eye. He closed the little gap between them. He gently took a hold of Aemond chin. He looked down at Aemond.
“Aemond, I could never. Your words mean everything to me.”
Rhagerys leaned down to kiss Aemond, who met him halfway. The kiss was delicate but held such a powerful weight behind it. Rhagerys broke the kiss and smiled down at Aemond.
“Besides, if I ever do, it means I’m dead.” Rhagerys gave a chuckle. “Even then, Ouija boards exist so…” Rhagerys said with a wave of his hand.
Aemond scoffed and jokingly hit Rhagerys’s chest. He lightly pushed Rhagerys away from him, walked back to the mirror, and once more looked at himself in it.
Rhagerys walked up behind him.
“How’d you get the strings tied?” Rhagerys asked as he played with them.
“It wasn’t easy, so do not untie them.”
Rhagerys dropped his hands, wrapped his arms around Aemond’s waist, and leaned his chin upon Aemond’s left shoulder.
“I wouldn’t dare try it.” Rhagerys gave a light kiss to Aemond’s neck. “Not until you tell me I can.”
Aemond closed his eye and took a soft breath in.
“You’re incorrigible.”
“So I’ve been told multiple times.”
Rhagerys let go of Aemond, stepped back, and took his hand.
“Now come along. I got us some takeaway and I’m sure it’s getting cold.” Rhagerys lightly tugged Aemond's hand. “It's from your favorite Korean place.”
“You got takeaway for this?”
“It felt like a special moment.”
Aemond pressed his lips together and made a face of disbelief at hearing that.
“Do you trust my cooking?” Rhagerys jokingly asked as he threw his hands up.
“That’s the one thing I don’t trust you with.” Aemond said with a laugh.
Rhagerys mockingly laughed back.
Rhagerys led Aemond out of the bedroom, down the hallway, into the kitchen. He pulled out a chair for Aemond to sit in. He then went about putting the takeaway on some plates. Rhagerys sat the plates down, grabbed some napkins and chopsticks, and joined Aemond in the seat across from him.
“The red looks great on you, by the way. It really makes your eyes pop. Especially your sapphire one.” Rhagerys complemented as he took a bite of food.
Aemond just stared at Rhagerys.
“Was the girl wearing a red dress in the movie?” Aemond asked, narrowing his eye just a little.
Rhagerys just looked back, eyes a little wide with a closed mouth smile.
“To be fair, it looks nothing like yours.” Rhagerys raised his hand slightly in defense. “And might I add, you look stunning in it.”
Aemond looked up towards the ceiling, doing his best to suppress a smile.
“As well as handsome. You bring a sort of delicate masculinity to the whole look.” Rhagerys added.
“Don’t push your luck.” Aemond threatened, but with a small smile.
Rhagerys returned the smile and reached his right hand out to Aemond’s left. He gently took it in his own.
“Thank you.” Aemond quietly said. “For helping…” Aemond trailed off not wanting to finish his thought.
“It’s alright. When you are ready to speak, I will be ready to listen.”
Rhagerys’s smile turned soft as did the look upon his face. Aemond returned the soft smile and lightly squeezed Rhagerys's hand. They knew now no words needed to be spoken.

Under Love's Heavy Burden Do I Sink
Tumblr media
Prompt: Litsperation. Romance Novel
Summary: Rhagerys helps Rhaena run lines. Later, Rhagerys tries to be romantic with Aemond.
Pairing: Aemond Targaryen/OMC
Warning: None.
Author’s Note: Happy Valentine's Day! I am American so if any British words seem a little off, that’s why. I did try to research. For the life of me I cannot seem to keep some type of humor out of the modernAUs I write for these two. Some lines are from Romeo and Juliet by: William Shakespeare.
Word Count: 1.9k
Written for: @hotd-bigbang
“But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.” Rhagerys read from the book in his hand.
Rhagerys continued on with the dialogue until it was “Juliet’s” turn.
“Ay, me!”
Rhagerys dramatically clutched at his chest and fell to his knees. “She speaks. O, speak again bright angel,”
Rhagerys’s “Juliet” started to laugh.
“Rhage, you don’t have to be so dramatic.”
Rhagerys looked up at his sister. He had her stand upon a chair to help create the balcony scene. To make it feel somewhat real.
“I was creating a mood, Rhaena.” Rhagerys offered as he stood. “Romeo is seeing Juliet in such a vulnerable moment, how could he not be overcome?”
Rhaena smiled, shook her head, and did a slight eye roll.
“Shall we continue?” Rhaena asked.
“Yes, yes. Now,” Rhagerys raised the book up to skim it. “Where was I before I was so rudely interrupted?” He said with a grin.
“You were on your knees hamming it up.” Rhaena offered.
“Right.” Rhagerys said with a grin and fell back down to his knees. “She speaks. O, speak again bright angel,” he recited.
Rhaena put her hand over her mouth and stifling a laugh.
The two continued on with the dialogue. Rhagerys kept up the theatrics as he read his lines from the book. While Rhaena perfectly said hers from memory.
“The more I have, for both are infinite.” Rhaena recited.
The room became quiet. Rhagerys, who had since stood back up, looked at Rhaena. She looked right back at him. Then the two turned their heads slowly towards the third person in the room.
“That would be your line, nurse.” Rhagerys pointed out.
Aemond, who had been quietly sitting on the couch scrolling on his phone, looked up at the two siblings.
“What?”
“Aemond, you literally have one word in this scene. ‘Madam’. How hard is that?” Rhagerys chastised as he placed a hand on his hip.
“To be fair, I had not been listening.” Aemond waved nonchalantly at Rhagerys. “One of the performers was being a bit too theatrical and I had to zone them out.”
Rhagerys did a mock gasp. He looked towards Rhaena.
“Rhaena, I think he’s referring to you.” Rhagerys looked back at Aemond. “Charlatan.” he said as he narrowed his eyes.
Aemond lowered his phone and looked at Rhagerys in disbelief.
“Rhaena is doing perfectly fine. It’s you and your overacting.”
Rhagerys made a look of fake disgust. “Well, then.”
“Just keeping you humble.” Aemond lifted his phone back up. He cleared his throat. “Madam.” He deadpanned.
Rhagerys and Rhaena looked at each other then back to Aemond. Aemond looked up to the two.
“It is your line, Rhaena.” Aemond said as he looked back at his phone.
The three continued on with the scene. Rhaena still doing a wonderful job. Rhagerys still a little dramatic. Aemond flatly said the couple of lines he had.
Rhagerys and Rhaena practiced a couple more hours. The three took a break for some afternoon tea. Then they finishing up with the death scene. Which got a mock comment from Aemond to Rhagerys about taking too long to die.
“I’m going to walk Rhaena to the station. I’ll be back.” Rhagerys said as he gave a quick kiss to Aemond’s cheek.
“I’ll be here.” Aemond turned his attention to Rhaena. “See you sometime, Rhaena.”
Rhaena gave a sweet smile. “You as well. Thank you for helping with my lines.”
Aemond simply nodded.
“Alright, be back soon. Love you!”
Rhagerys and Rhaena left the flat. Aemond was alone with his thoughts.
“Parting is such sweet sorrow.” Aemond recited. He then laughed a little to himself. “Why Rhage couldn’t say that normally is beyond me.” He muttered as he went about cleaning up the kitchen.
“I'm back!” Rhagerys cheerily said as he shut the door. “Aemond?”
“I'm in the bedroom.” Aemond called back.
Rhagerys got a sly grin on his face. He quickly took his shoes off and made his way to the bedroom.
“Oh, my love what kind of surpri-” Rhagerys stopped in the doorway. “Oh...” he said disappointedly.
Aemond was standing by the bed folding clothing. He looked over to Rhagerys as he laid a shirt upon the bed. He had a confused look upon his face as he watched Rhagerys slump against the door frame.
“Can I help you?”
Rhagerys did a petulant scoff at that.
“I thought maybe you were,” Rhagerys made a gesture towards the bed.
“I was what?” Aemond pressed.
“I thought maybe you would be laid upon the bed waiting for my return.”
Aemond balked at that answer. He shook his head at the audacity.
“Your clothes have been sitting in the basket for three days. They need to be put away.”
Aemond went back to his task. Rhagerys made his way into the room and picked up a pair of trousers and started to fold them.
“I would have gotten around to it.”
“You are wearing a shirt that I saw you take out of the basket.”
“Better than out of the dirty laundry.” Rhagerys set the folded trousers on the bed. “Again.”
The two continued to fold Rhagerys's clothing and have an idle conversation. Once they were done, they went about putting them away in the wardrobe.
“There, was that so hard?” Aemond asked.
Rhagerys closed the wardrobe and turned towards Aemond.
“Extremely. Now,” Rhagerys pulled Aemond to him. “What is my reward for doing such a good job?”
“The satisfaction of knowing you did a good job.” Aemond shot back.
Rhagerys tsked at that answer with a tilt of his head. He leaned down and gave Aemond a chaste kiss.
“That hath sucked the honey of thy breath, hath had no power yet upon thy beauty.” Rhagerys recited as he pulled away from the kiss.
Aemond had a bewildered look upon his face as he looked up at Rhagerys.
“What? It's Romeo and Juliet.” Rhagerys said with a shrug.
“I know. But it's referring to Romeo finding Juliet dead. Telling her 'corpse' that she is beautiful even in death.”
Rhagerys dropped his hands from holding onto Aemond. “Oh. Right.”
“That's the line you remember?” Aemond asked with a small shake of his head.
“I remember others.” Rhagerys said defensively. He then threw his hands in the air. “I was trying to flirt.”
“Oh, I know.” Aemond said with a hint of a grin.
“Then why didn't you just go with it?”
Aemond looked up at Rhagerys. “You are terrible at flirting.” he said calmly.
Rhagerys scoffed.
“And yet here you are.” Rhagerys said in a sassy tone.
Aemond stared at Rhagerys trying not to smile. “You amuse me.”
Rhagerys bobbed his head at that answer. Aemond was not wrong. That was something Rhagerys always tried to do. With any family member. He just wanted to see them happy.
“Is it working?”
Aemond looked away with a smile and a shake of his head. He looked back at Rhagerys with just a hint of lust in his eye. “You know it is.”
Rhagerys confidently smiled at that and launched himself towards Aemond and gave him a deep kiss. The two wrapped their arms around one another and started to lightly grab at each others clothing. Aemond's hands went down to Rhagerys's trousers unbuttoning them. Rhagerys was working on pulling Aemond's shirt from being tucked into his trousers. The two broke away from the kiss, panting with lust blown eyes.
“Clothes. Off. Now.” Aemond directed.
Rhagerys didn't hesitate to follow Aemond's instructions. The two of them quickly and quietly took off their clothing and let them drop to the floor around them. Rhagerys and Aemond were stripped down to their briefs. Rhagerys made his way over to Aemond and immediately started kissing him. The build up of passion was about to overflow between the two.
Rhagerys broke the kiss and maneuvered Aemond to turn so that his back was to Rhagerys’s front. Rhagerys then went about kissing along Aemond’s collarbone, neck, jawline, to his cheek. His arms held Aemond loosely as they lightly explored Aemond’s upper body.
“Soft and sweet or rough and wild?” Rhagerys asked between kisses.
“Rough and wild.” Aemond groaned out at the feeling that was building inside him.
Rhagerys smiled cockily at that answer. He would happily oblige. Rhagerys reached his hand down, grabbed a hold of Aemond’s briefs, and pulled at an upward angle. Hard.
“The fuck?!” Aemond yelled as he pulled himself away while pushing Rhagerys from him at the same time. “What was that for?!”
Rhagerys stared, eyes wide and full of shock.
“I thought-”
“You thought what? That yanking my briefs up my ass was...?” Aemond pointedly asked as he fixed the briefs from the discomforting position they were in.
“I…I was trying to…” Rhagerys trailed off.
“What were you trying to do?” Aemond asked glaring wide eyed at Rhagerys.
“I was trying to be romantic.” Rhagerys said in a slightly raised, panicked voice. “It works in movies.” He sheepishly added.
Aemond’s body relaxed at that admission. He could see that Rhagerys felt awful at what he had done. He was still a little upset, and there was an awkward pain, but he understood what Rhagerys had wanted to do.
“Well, thanks for the wedgie, Romeo.” Aemond said with a sarcastic tone.
The air left the room. It got rather quiet. Rhagerys and Aemond stared at one another. Each could tell the other was wanting to laugh. They waited to see who would crack first. Rhagerys suppressed smile as he was doing his best to stifle a laugh. There were tears forming in his eyes. Aemond simply had a quirked eyebrow and a hint of a smile. The two silently fought to see who would win their little battle. Aemond won out. He always did.
Rhagerys couldn’t hold back the laughter anymore. He doubled over and laughed until he couldn’t breathe.
“I-I am so…sorry.” Rhagerys wheezed out through laughter.
Aemond could only smile at Rhagerys. His cousin exuded nothing but confidence and aloofness in anything he did. However, the man couldn’t flirt to save his life. His charm was wafer thin, unless he was trying to get something free or talking to a lady. And his romantic skills needed to be polished, a lot. But when he was behind closed doors, Rhagerys was one of the most attentive person Aemond has ever known. Somehow, all of that is what endeared Rhagerys to Aemond.
“Did I ruin the mood?” Rhagerys asked as he took in a breath.
Aemond was brought back from his thoughts. He walked towards Rhagerys. He lifted his hands up and wiped away the tears that were present on Rhagerys's face from him laughing too much. Then he gently cupped Rhagerys’s face.
“You imbecile.” Aemond said gently.
Rhagerys smiled and leaned down. Aemond met him halfway. They kissed one another delicately before Rhagerys moved his head back. He rested his forehead upon Aemond’s.
“But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Aemond is the sun.” Rhagerys quietly recited.
Aemond scoffed and pulled away. He was softly smiling, if only to let Rhagerys know he didn’t mind that comparison. He took a hold of Rhagerys’s hand and led him to the bed.
--- Author's Note 2: I did my best to make sure there were no grammar errors. The “Thanks for the wedgie, Romeo.” line came from stand up comedian Bill Engvall I remember listening to a lot as a teenager. I wish I was stretching the truth when I say the majority of the plot sprung from that simple line. This time it took me forever to figure out a title.
