there are so many seeds sown in adventure time that we never get to see flourish... i want to know what happened to the candy kingdom colony on tree trunks' alien husband's abandoned home planet. i want the 1000+ pup plotline to be fleshed out... and finally i SO want to see marceline and PB in 1000+.

one thing I'm excited about with Fionna and Cake

is that it seems like we're going to Ooo at different time periods and not just other dimensions. we have a shot of fern's tree both in modern times and 1000+ years in the future. there's also a shot of baby finn running through Ooo during what's probably the first apocalypse. that means they might also be moving characters besides fionna, cake, and simon through time. I'm assuming this might tie into how simon intends to get back the crown so he can be ice king again.

but what I'm REALLY excited about is the chance to get an episode focusing on the future. we got a hint of it in lemonhope's episode, and then an even bigger taste of it in the finale where we meet shermy and beth. there's also the great concept pieces Steve Wolfhard made to explore how future Ooo might look.

this is the ONE THING I've wanted to see from AT ever since the finale: a special/series actually focused on Shermy and Beth and their lives in future Ooo. it just seems like it would be really fascinating and exciting to see, plus I do love Shermy and Beth as characters. I was willing to accept that AT wanted to end the story there and keep things vague. it seemed like a good choice for the story, overall. but if they're actually going to show more of the future in Fionna and Cake then I AM FOR IT.

my own take on Adventure Time 1000+ years

truly I wouldn’t change Ice Thing but I wanted to try something with the design

very very inspired by Hylics especially what we have seen of Hylics 3

Reincarnated Finn felt a little too on the nose and actual design would use different colored clothing and maybe a different head??

and the Jake reincarnation is actually an evolved seperate branch of his original alien species, this version is less intelligent and is more of just an animal companion, tho They both can still communicate. Rather than using stretchy powers this offset of the species could mimic animals and other things. more into the shapeshifting aspect

An interesting connection between Ooo 1000+ years in the future and the Vampireworld from Fiona & Cake

So for the longest time the bleak and desolate state of Ooo 1000 years in the future remained a mystery to everyone.

The 7th episode “The Star” revealed that the crown is capable of completely enshrouding the sky in a permanent blanket of clouds, which was the Vampire King’s main tactic in conquering the world. I believe that after merging with the crown, Gunter (The Ice Thing) began expanding his Ice Thingdom, turning it into a twisted hellish place. Consequently, weather patterns started to get affected too, and over the course of several centuries (decades?) The Ice Thing completely enshrouded Ooo in a thick layer of dark icy clouds. This would explain (at least partly) why everything looks so bleak and lifeless 1000 in the future. Because of the crown!

Just finished my two week long marathon of adventure time, and came up with a little title card for Beth and Shermy if they ever get a spin off:

pretty rough but who cares lol, also I got this idea, considering everything is post apocaliptic but more hi-tech than in the OG, what if the title cards instead if being old paintings in parchment, they were minimalist holograms kinda like the 1000+ books?

Also this episode idea only works if the new finn sword is actually alive like the first one, I doubt so but it is a cool little what if.

tbh though if you look at the older episodes, Betty was always like absolutely 100% fully and irrevocably unhinged, and her going insane was barely a departure from the status quo at all

like this woman is and always was nuts, and I think it's for everyone's benefit that they're both equally obsessed with each other, because that means nobody else ever has to get involved with their fucked up dynamic

I think it's less that she put her life on hold for Simon's benefit, but that she's a scary lady who knows exactly what she wants, and what she wants is a relationship with a nice autistic guy who's really into femdom
