In my opinion, these two are definitely Finn and Jake's past lives.
And it's really sweet if you think about it, both Marcy and PB have been friends with Finn for a really long time.

Fionna & Cake Theory
Ok, so:
During the "Come Along With Me" Adventure Time finale, Simon looks through a book to get info about Golb, and we can see this entity called Malus.
And in the post-credits scene of Fionna & Cake's finale "Cheers", we can see a cube and a square morphing into an apple with a ribbon.
Now, take a wild guess on what is the scientific name for apples?
The ribbon/bow even looks like the infinite symbol under Malus' image. This concludes my PSA.

Possible spoilers for Fionna and Cake
CW for Body Horror
I've seen a lot of speculation on Simon either pulling Betty out of Golb or staying with her or leaving her behind again, but surprisingly no one has put this on the table

Credit to UncivilizedElk on youtube (link) for making me realize that, like...
The weird geometry and “glitch” looking shapes in Fionna and Cake’s world
Are probably related to the shapes of Simon’s Golb alter.
Which as I said in another post seems to be the cosmic imagination/Prismo/Golb junk apparently
And is definitely related to the tetris looking shape Simon flies past Prismo’s room on, at the end of episode 2′s intro song
Honestly, this last bit is a stretch, but even the hand movements people use to summon Golb
Are kinda very... tetris-y
(Also, yeah. Golb spits those weird tetris blocks when it’s around. Gotta admit I forgot that one till I went to grab a shot of Betty doing the hand motions. >.>)
Lastly, this is just silly, but for some reason Golb’s big scary book that Ice King has a flash back to reading with Betty pre-mushroom war has an illustration of the silly magic battery clips???
Lmao

So does this mean GOLB is a Catalyst Comet Reincarnation? Or does he create them?
We know the catalyst comets appear every 1000 years to "shake things up a bit" as Finn puts it in Hot Diggity Doom.
Which can be interpreted as a form of Chaos, they exist to avoid stagnation and embody certain aspects of the universe, like Finn embodies good while the Lich embodies evil, and presumably Jake embodies creativity.
We know The Lich is the "Last scholar of GOLB" which implies he's somehow related to GOLB. This last episode's ending only reinforces this conexion.
But... What would it mean for the catalyst comets to be created by GOLB?
Well, firstly, it would mean that our understanding of GOLB...
Has been wrong this whole time.
Before, we used to think GOLB was this monster/demon that existed just to bring Chaos, or a fundamental entity that brings Chaos and devour worlds for a greater purpose of balance. But it seems like his influence, if this theory is right, is even greater than we thought.
We have almost no knowledge on the catalyst comets or GOLB, but it's interesting that they decided to mix the comet's staple appereance with GOLB's, implying a connection.
Golb as a reincarnation of a catalyst comet has some evidence, as well
GOLB seems to have a big connection to Mars without having been created there, as his first Era of Chaos is referred to as "The First Coming of GOLB."
You might say "But it's Earth where the comets land, not Mars," but I raise you the fact that Earth is really close by and the first place GOLB would be able to cause Chaos in besides Earth is Mars.
It seems like they don't have any proof that he's coming back, so it's strange that he even came at all in the first place. So it's probable that Earth and Mars were the first places where GOLB caused Chaos and destruction.
Mars and Earth in general are really connected, with Mars sending food to Earth, Abraham Lincoln was the former King of Mars, and Moe was heavily involved with constructing the Domes of Mars and the technology.
In any case, most of this is probably wrong, and we will find out a lot more about GOLB next week anyway, but I wanted to share my deliriums still.

What changed Ice Prince Finn back to normal & where did he get a crown from?
Was Finn stealing a baby what ended up changing him as a person in the Farmworld universe? Similar to how Marceline kept Simon prime grounded & humane for a while.
Maybe Jay Mertens (I think that was his name, the eldest son) reminded him of his little brother too.
As for how the crown came back into the Farmworld reality, that would be because of whatever wacky effects are happening from Fionna & Cake going through the multiverse. Scarab was also messing with the multiversal TV's insides.
Going back to Farmworld Finn's little brother, maybe he was the one who broke the crown since I doubt a coward like the destiny gang leader would have been able to do it (or there's some sort of timeline loop going on with a bunch of the crowns that'll get shown later). This is assuming the little brother is alive, but we don't even know that for sure. There is just a lot we don't know.
edit: I see what y'all are saying about the old episode, seems like Prismo didn't wipe anyone's memories, he only made it so the crown would be destroyed. People still remember The Snow Man AKA Ice Prince Finn & what he did with all of that magical power. I also still think Jay Mertens could be the baby at the end of the flashback at the start of the episode.
#I just really don't think anime shades guy could have pulled this off; but maybe thats just me#I feel like something more is absolutely going on here & that part of the info/time gaps isn't just a product of limited time per episodes#something something time loop I'm not sure#if anyone else has any ideas about this please do share them! 💜#Jay mertens seems like he could be an up & coming wizard. I hope Finn is okay though!#I was really tired when making this theory so it's absolutely possible I missed something; plz let me know!#mine#op#farmworld finn#ice prince finn#ice finn#finn mertens#adventure time fionna and cake#adventure time fionna & cake#adventure time spoilers#adventure time#jay mertens#adventure time theory#farmworld#atimers

WAIT GUYS I HAVE A FIONNA AND CAKE THEORY
What if Simon gets the Ice Queen’s crown to try to become the Ice King again???? the crown is small like hers!!!
Having to come to terms with your mortality after living for a thousand years must be very hard for Simon Petrikov to come to terms with, so I think hes going to try to become the Ice King so he has some semblance of control over his life again
Ice King was also very happy-go-lucky to, so Simon, probably dealing with severe depression, wants to return to that state.
The crown also makes wishes, so maybe Simon believes this is also how he can get Betty back too. so getting an ice crown is a 2 for 1 deal for him
Also remember when obsidian, Simon was dressed as the ice king and was trying to stick himself into the freezer because “This is how I cope!”
i think thats what Fionna and Cake will expand upon, as i dont think it was just a one-off joke

the question of who prismos boss is has fucked with me for a while but i have 4 theories.
1. is it’s someone we don’t know of
2. it’s golbetty
3. it’s pendleton ward creator of adventure time but my fourth theory is what i’m making this post about.
4. Martin Mertens. in the season 6 finale hot diggity doom finn breaks open the catalyst comet and it offers him a new mode of existence, finn rejects it but martin accepts it in his place. what if that new mode of existence is being the boss of all the extra dimensional beings? we don’t hear about prismo having a boss till after that episode.

Random theory/headcanon:
I think at some point Marceline the Star used her soul-sucking power on the Fire Elemental, either Flame Princess or one or her predecessors, and is now technically the Elemental of Fire herself. Which is why she now has flame-powers for some reason.

i just realised that the ice crown seems to grant its host immortality in the form of not physically aging, and ice king only visually reads as an "old man" to the viewer for reasons unrelated to age (long white hair and beard due to evergreen having white hair, receding hairline coming from wearing the crown too much) this is further proven by ice king not having any visible wrinkles (compare this to simon in fnc) and also winter king being... a thing in general. winter king is as old as ice king (if not older) but he has a pretty young appearance and when ice king's magic got taken away by bella noche in that one episode, simon initially looked like his young self before he ever put on the crown, and then during the episode he begins to age rapidly
so BASICALLY, this means that technically ice king is physically about 40-something, he just happens to have a long white beard and a receding hairline. that's very funny to think about
#this also suggests that if ice finn had kept the crown then he probably would've stayed about 15 forever and thats kinda wild to think about#imagine being terrorised by the same teenager for like 20 years straight HELPPP#adventure time#adventure time analysis#adventure time theory#its kind of a theory ig#ice king#simon petrikov

So, I was rewatching the episode Little Guy (s5e10) with a friend of mine that I forced to watch Adventure Time and I noticed something strange when Little Guy possessed Gumball Guardian...
You see those weird geometric shapes? Aren't they... Familiar?
THATS GOLB MAGIC. THATS MOTHERFUCKING CHAOS GOD MAGIC.
THIS IS THE SAME TYPE OF MAGIC. WHY CAN LIFE GIVING MAGUS'S CREATION WEILD GOLB MAGIC? He mentions a "chaotic, destructive force" embeds itself into anything he gives life to (at least when he thinks of his father while giving it life) IS THAT GOLB??????? IS HE FUCKING TALKING ABOUT THE GOD OF CHAOS???

Winter King episode theory regarding why Finn and Jake aren’t really… around…
Okay so I wasn’t gonna actually voice this theory until after the show was over (or at all bc theory stuff isn’t rlly my thing), but eh what the hell. It’s not exactly particularly relevant to the overall Fionna and Cake plot, but I just find it interesting.
Also I wanna preface this by saying that I might be forgetting certain details that would disprove all of this and render this entire thing pointless. So feel free to correct me because I love knowing that I just wasted my time.
So from what I remember in the Winter King reality, we specifically never hear or see any mention of Finn and Jake from anyone and they don’t seem to be around in any capacity. The roles of Ice King and Princess Bubblegum have been reversed and Finn and Jake’s roles have more or less been filled by other characters too (the ice scouts).
So as I was watching this, it made me come to a conclusion: This is the universe where Finn and Jake disappeared.
In e19s6 of the original show, “Is That You?”, Prismo gets brought back to life via Jake becoming his dream host or whatever. And as a result, Finn became a sword because time paradox shenanigans. Even back when I first watched that episode, I had always wondered what that meant for the timeline they came from. Was there just a world where F and J disappeared without a trace?
This could possibly be that timeline since (unless I missed something), it’s never specified when Winter King became Winter King. Like yeah he said it was about 100 years ago, but 100 years from when??? (Also, I know I’ve seen some theories that this is just a world where Finn was never born, but I think this could be a little more interesting.)
This could also explain why Marceline is gone. Because Stakes happens in season 7 and Marceline becomes mortal again. Maybe Finn and Jake not being there caused things to go differently and Marceline ended up either dying to the vampires, or dying of old age after a while. Then from there, anything could have happened. Including Ice King casting his madness onto PB and creating the world that we see in the Winter King Episode. There wasn’t anyone to stop him at that point.
I initially thought this theory was disproven by the recent Fionna and Cake episode, “Jerry”. I thought that maybe THIS was the actual universe where they disappeared. Mostly because Finn and Jake being gone could have meant the Litch had another chance at killing everyone. Either that or Orgalorg killed everyone and that’s why the sky was that yellow color (I thought this before I actually saw the Litch in the episode). But it turns out this was just the reality from the Litch’s original wish so imo that just means my theory still holds so :P
Anyway yeah… I’m probably forgetting some important detail that debunks all of this. Either that or I’m slow and this is common knowledge or something idk. It’s just been giving me brainworms so I figured I’d type it all out.
TLDR. The Winter King reality is the result of the F and J disappearing to become a cool sword and Prismo respectively and just never coming back.
#fionna and cake#adventure time#fionna and cake spoilers#fionna and cake theory#adventure time theory#winter king#I typed this up at like 3am last night so it might be nonsense
