Got to try out some new brushes yesterday & have some time to just draw what I want. Felvos, my dunmer, and some very sappy Felo'thore & Adrian re-uniting with their children after the Phoenix Wars...& a derpkin. I am reminded why its so important to have doodle days.

OC asks, 6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?

At the current moment Mekia will take advise from @captainswingbeard‘s Ithanar and @ocarina-of-what‘s Adrianal. In the past it was his mentor, Arris Greysmoke.

Now, mind you that doesn’t mean he’ll do anything with it or follow through with it but he definitely listen.

As for not taking? Just about anyone, honestly. He’ll listen, nod, and then go about doing his thing.

Sunguard Sitewrite Entry 1

Write a journal entry for your character dated ten years in the future. It was a good day today.

When I woke up this morning, I was free of pain. My knee wasn’t nearly as swollen as it usually is. It was a good thing, too, as Alna’cenia had awoken long before me and was practically breaking down the door in her eagerness to begin the day’s training. She practically stuffed my leg into the brace the Doctor Novastorm, his brother Thordemar, and Adrianal designed for my leg, shoved a shirt over my head, and jammed my crutches under my arms so I could hurry up and hobble downstairs for breakfast- one that she had prepared. Her mother and sister are busy off in the woods doing...whatever it is druids do in their free time (talking to trees or birds or I���m honestly not sure what), so it’s just been the two of us.

Words aren’t enough to express just how proud I am of Alna. She’s grown into a fine young woman, a beacon of what it is to be one of our kind. Strong, proud, bullheaded and a stubborn streak ten miles wide. That girl has a fire in her heart that burns as hot as any forge and she’s determined to master the techniques her mother has allowed me to teach. The lessons are conducted the only way I know how: harshly. I know Nuellen cringes whenever we take to the training yard and our daughter comes home covered in bruises, but I think she understands the necessity of the punishment Alna endures. Maybe endures isn’t the right word- she almost welcomes it, in a way.

One more challenge. That’s all she sees.

As I sit here at my desk, I can only wish I was healthy enough to really train with her. The brace helps a good deal, but it’s not the same and it never will be again. Doctor Novastorm insists I be cautious with it, that it can only augment what little structural integrity is left in my leg, and I can but heed his advice. It’s frustrating. I hate this. The damage is so extensive that it’s not even possible to remove my leg entirely and replace it with an augmented prosthetic like Thordemar wears. Doctor Novastorm explained it to me once. Something about...mana channels and nerve endings and a lot of excessively long words that I couldn’t even spell to look up in a dictionary if I wanted to.

I hate this. So much.

But I can’t dwell on that. I won’t.

What I will focus on is helping my daughter become the best knight she can be, regardless of which path she chooses. I’m proud of who she is and who she’s becoming.

That, regardless of everything else, made it a good day.

A Few Letters

Each one written on paper seemingly to have been torn out of a journal, the penmanship was as if from a child, slightly smudged right but legible, and sent in a very plain envelope to their destination.

A letter to Adrianal Novastorm

A letter arrives to the desk of Adrianal Novastorm, carried by a small earth elemental that waits around only long enough to deliver the letter before disappearing back into the earth. The print is surprisingly delicate and well-written.

To Dawnward Novastorm,

My name is Koramm Stonehoof, recently joined Emberward. During a recent meeting with the Greenseer, I expressed and interest in studying psychology, to further my ability to heal by not only healing the bodies of the injured, but helping those who may need healing of the mind, and of the spirit. She suggested that I speak to you on the matter, as you are the one most well versed in the subject within the Dawnmenders.

This missive is intended for two purposes, an introduction, though I believe we have already met informally, during the brief get-together at the lodge, and secondly, to make a request of you and your time. As I am to understand it, you have recently had a number of situations occur, and this has led to you and your partner bringing a young child into your lives. As much as I would care to learn from you, I understand that a young child can take much of a parent’s free time. Even so, if it would not impose too much, I would request some of your time, if you are willing to teach me.

In exchange, alongside whatever form of payment you care to request, I would be willing to offer my services as a babysitter, should you and your husband require a night off. I have been told that I am very good with children, and I do find that non-Tauren children can find me an odd and entertaining sight. If you have no need of such services, that is fine as well.

A Letter Delivered

Azriah Thelryn Grand Arcanist,

It is with great pleasure that I am able to write you a longer letter than my short notes as of late. You must forgive the shorthand, for smuggling such things out of the city of Suramar is unsurprisingly difficult – especially by magic. My my, these people know their magic and it is simple divine.

I have been amongst the shal’dorei for a few weeks now and I am pleased to report that my illusion holds well. I have found my way into some of the noble social circles and I return with gifts for you. Allow me, my Grand Arcanist, to explain what I have enclosed this letter with.

Shal’dorei Silk, enchanted with a luminescent glow. There is an upcoming designer by the name of Yadan. His name has been caught up ever since one woman in House Everstre wore a gown of his to a masquerade two weeks ago. This silk is something of his design. Hopefully I have included enough that a tailor might fashion you a gown fit only for your form.

Arcwine. As I am quite certain that you’ve tasted such a thing already (odd how it seems to be the easiest and quickest thing to smuggle out, no?), the bottle I have included is from an up and coming family ‘vineyard’. While they are not all the rage yet, I have faith that their brand will be the next big thing in Suramar City. Perhaps it, paired with the silk, will assist you should you attempt for diplomatic relations among the nobles.

On that point of nobility, there are a few names that I think would be willing to bend to our cause if we pressed them well enough. While they all boast of loyalty to the Grand Magistrix Elisande and spit on the rebellion, something tells me that they are simply keeping up face. You know how nobles can be when surrounded by peer pressure.

Information regarding the rebellion and lower class citizens and their culture is much easier to obtain. It is my understanding that the Dawnmender Adrianal Novastorm and his husband, our very own Suncaster, Felo’thore Novastorm, have been assisting with refugees here and there. Perhaps while I continue to gather more information regarding their mannerisms, proper forms of address, and the going-ons in society within the city, the two gentlemen may be able to offer you more information so that you’re given a full look from above and below.

Should you require me, Grand Arcanist, I wait for your call as I always do – with bated breath and a hope that it should be soon.

Them as a person: “He’s alright, I suppose. Seems like an all around good person but it also seems like he’s that to an annoying level.”

Level of attractiveness : “Eight out of ten. He’s got a wonderful ass and great thighs, and I suppose his face isn’t all that bad, but his attitude is a real downer.”

What annoys them most: “His attitude. He’s a bit of an ass and not exactly friendly.”

What they like the most: “Mmm. It seems like his heart is in the right place?That sounds about right.”

What they’d do if they were locked in a closet together for 4 hours: Mekia waggles his eyebrows. “If he didn’t kill me there’s plenty of things I wouldn’t mind doing.”

Overall opinion: “Not bad, just need to get rid of the stick up his ass.”

Hi! ^^ I'd like to ask some things about Felo'thore if you don't mind. How patient is he? What temperature water he showers? What's his sleepwear? How much a sweet tooth is he, is he a foodie? What's his favorite season? Has he ever forget to eat? Is he a night person? How likely of him to chew on pens? How much time would he use spend on getting ready/leave the house? Thank you very much and have a nice day!

How patient is he?  Felo’thore is incredibly patient and throughtful in most situations, but can have a bit of a temper when he gets overwhelmed.

What temperature water he showers?  Lukewarm. He grew up taking baths in the river by his family’s home in the Eversong Woods and he’s used to the water not always being particularly warm. The constant magic flowing through his body makes him very warm so a colder shower feels nice.

What's his sleepwear?  Usually in underwear with a silky overrobe. Sometimes sleep pants.

How much a sweet tooth is he, is he a foodie? 

Yes.

What's his favorite season?  Fall and Winter-- Fall of course, reminds him fondly of his homeland since everything is enchanted to be an eternal autumn. Winter because he absolutely loves snow, and winter skies are best for stargazing.

Has he ever forget to eat?  I imagine if he’s on a super intense project, he might. Though after tapping into more druidic powers, nature has a very strict clock. You wouldn’t want to see him hangry.

Is he a night person? Very much so. You might even think him a night owl. 

How likely of him to chew on pens? Felo’thore really doesn’t have any nervous habits, though he is definitely a leg wiggler. 

How much time would he use spend on getting ready/leave the house?  Depends on the occasion, but at least an hour for himself, and another helping his kids and Adrianal. On a work day, the Novastorms have a very communal routine. Grooming and dressing is bonding time, since they spend a good chunk of time being away from one another at war.

Site Write 2017 #19

Your character must write a thank you note. Who is it to, and what is it about?

Slid under the doorway of the Novastorm’s Dalaran apartment was a folded piece of paper, looking to be torn out of a journal.  On the paper a letter was written in somewhat smeared ink.  The handwriting was looking more like a young child whom is still learning.  The smearing was from left to right, as the writer is left handed.

Dawnward Adrianal Novastorm, This is hard for me, and it doesn’t seem to me right now that anything will help.  But I am trying and wanting things to change.  Thank you for helping me. Emb Lightward Razail Dusksinger

The Sunguard Legionfall Finale, Battle in the Dawnspire Recap of the Event
