Troubleshooting
For @glitterypirateduck's super fun Oh, Captain! challenge. This is for prompt #8 where our deceptive captain tries to hide a secret from his gunsmith.
She could smell him long before she saw his hulking form stop in front of her office door. The sweet scent of his signature Romeo y Julieta cigars gave him away; a jewel from Villa Clara, Cuba. The tight-rolled tobacco smoldered amber and gold in the dark, its rustic funk and black licorice smoke gently curling out of his parted lips, trapped under his dirty boonie hat.
When she had been assigned to his team, she’d been dreading the constant relocating and high profile secrecy. It was hard enough to find 5.56 ammo for that mouthy Scot’s Steyr bullpup, much less have it delivered to a black site without a postcode. But, as she let her eyes wander up his mountainous shoulders, tracing the outline of a sharp, scruffy Adam’s apple, watching as his jaw rippled and clenched to bite down on the soft end of his cigar, she admitted to herself that she could deal with a few shipping delays as long as she got to enjoy John Price. Now, just a few weeks into this roughshod operation, she ached to see what lurked under all that gear.
She cleaned up her station, carefully screwing on the cap to her powder and putting it under the workbench. When he spoke, it was always confident but soft, like a stage whisper, words only she was meant to hear.
“Smithy,” he took a long drag from his Cuban and pulled the creamy smoke in through his nose, a very casual French inhale, breathing it out and down sharply, purposefully avoiding her face.
He’d never called her by her name, only by his clipped version of her title of Chief Gunsmith. She knew he must be aware of it since he requested her transfer, but she had always been “Smithy” to him.
“Captain, how are we this evening?” She gazed into his eyes with intent, hoping he would see her desire in them and be pleased.
“We’re alright,” he took the cigar from his mouth and let it rest between his fingers, smiling down at her as he loomed, his height making her feel small. He removed his hat, placing it on her bench before leaning against the table, his huge hand spreading wide across the stainless surface. He continued,
“You know, this M4 has been giving me a bit of trouble. I cleaned it, but even after a full breakdown, the bolt isn’t sitting flush. Think you could help me get it all the way in?”
She let his quiet rumbling voice wash over her like a wave, lapping at her mind and making her breath catch in her chest. The double entendre was so obvious as to almost be in jest, but his suggestive tone - though subtle - was enough for her to believe in it.
“Did you use enough oil? A little lubricant goes a long way, Captain, but some parts need more than others. Especially if it was a vigorous cleaning,” she threw him a bone in hopes he would bite it.
He did, replying with a sly smile,
“Perhaps I went a little rough with her. Think you can take a look?”
He licked his lips, watching as the flush tinted her neck and cheeks, hungry for her attention. She watched him shift his weight, rocking forward towards the bench, flexing his hips. Obviously, she was getting to him. She turned up the heat, pushing her luck,
“Rough is just fine, John, but with the size of the bolt head you’ve got here, you just need to make sure she’s slick enough to take it.”
She smiled sweetly, taking the rifle from him and laying it across the bench. Now that she had turned her attention to the gun, she could only watch him from the corner of her eye. But, she knew she had landed a punch when he had to turn his head away from her and pull at the inside leg of his pants, adjusting.
Then, as she took apart the barrel from the bolt and its lever, she realized he had been lying to her. He had replaced the trigger assembly before the bolt, effectively causing the problem he was asking her to solve. Price knew this gun better than the back of his own hand, and he had come down to her office with this game, hoping to score.
Her heart raced when she discovered the error, and she tried her best to maintain a straight face, not wanting him to realize she’d caught him yet. She still wanted to play.
She rebuilt the weapon, glossing over the false mistake, and pulled the bolt back flush.
“There,” she sighed, “good as new.”
The ball was clearly in his court and she waited to see what he would do. His voice had dropped into a deep, threatening register, and he was leaning so far over the workbench that she could see his pupils dilate, pushing back the bright blue and revealing the blackness behind it,
“What was the problem, Smithy?”
He began to stalk her around the edge of the table, taking impossibly slow steps toward her side of the bench, eyes fixed on her mouth. She saw his chest rising and falling faster and stronger, lifting his protective vest and causing the lingering smoke between his lips to billow chaotically around his dark beard. She held her ground, turning her body toward his as he walked,
“You made a rookie mistake, Captain Price. One that you’re not capable of making...”
His eyes sparked to life, focusing on hers now, and he knew that he’d been discovered. She continued to dismantle his farce,
“…and I wonder how it can be possible…”
Price rounded the first corner of the table, hanging on her every word. He took his cigar and pulled a long drag.
“...that such an experienced…”
Another step. The leather of his boot creaked as he pressed it down.
“...intelligent…”
Another step. She could smell his cologne now. Vetiver. Musk.
“...diligent soldier…”
He crossed the second corner, letting the smoke fall out of his mouth, pouring like water down his chin and tangling in his beard, holding his breath to let her view the effect. His teeth were clenched together behind his full mouth, and he began to smile in a sinister, pained way. She went on, quieter, her voice betraying her nerves,
“...would somehow forget how to put his own gun back together.”
Price’s cigar had come to an end, and he crushed it out under his boot as he stood in front of her, too close for propriety, just close enough to smell her coconut shampoo. He hummed, playing along, falsifying a sense of wonder and mystery in his tone.
“That is quite the mystery, innit? Must’ve been distracted by…” Price brought his hand up to touch the tip of his gunsmith’s long braid as it lay draped over her shoulder, laying on her breast, “…something important.”
“John,” she whispered, leaning toward him instinctively.
In the half-second between her speaking his name and the silence that came after, he struck like a snake, wrapping the rest of her braid around his fist like a rope, yanking her head back and pulling her to his body, letting their gear and clothes rustle between them, not caring where the vests and belts and buckles twisted and pinched, letting the tension linger. His free hand grabbed her jaw and neck in his wide, open palm, fingers pressing into her skin, warm and callused.
His voice was so strained and full of his want that it seemed like a growl, rambling in a rushed, fervent monologue,
“You’ve been teasing me again, Smithy. Ever since we got back from that damn operation. You’ve been coming to the gym at night, when I lift, and you wear those fucking shorts and you show off that thick arse, bending over in front of the racks, pulling them up higher so I can how see your wet cunt is soaking right through them,” his hand yanked her head back, making her gasp. He loved that noise,
“Delicious. Your pretty little cunt, ready to eat. Right within my reach. A whole gym, empty, and you pick that spot every damn time. Moving past me in the lockers, letting me smell you, and now I want a taste.”
She felt the stinging tightness of her scalp as he tugged on her braid, locking her body in place against his, controlling her head, moving it toward his face. He grimaced like he was in agony even though she was the one under his fist. His touch was such a relief. She’d been torturing him for weeks, and she surrendered to him, pliant to his whims, hoping he understood that her lack of resistance was essentially her begging him to forgive her for leaving him starving.
“Alright,” she smiled, still at his mercy, “If you want a taste, you can have one.” She watched as his eyes grew wide with anticipation as she unbuttoned her pants and tugged down the zipper. She bit her lip and shrugged, “On your knees, soldier.”

CIA Agent Nathanial Ford
Agent Nathanial Ford, a master of disguise at the CIA, sat at his meticulously organized workbench, surrounded by an array of tools and materials: silicone molds, fine human hair, a palette of skin tone pigments, and dental caps. His latest mission required him to infiltrate a high-stakes criminal syndicate in Moscow, Russia—a role that demanded not just linguistic fluency but an entire physical transformation to match.
The assignment was to pose as Dimitri Ivanov, a mid-level operator within the syndicate known for his dealings in illicit arms. Nathanial's task was to gather intelligence on the syndicate's connections with corrupt government officials. To become Dimitri, Nathanial would need to master not just the Russian language, but also the specific Moscow dialect, characterized by its sharp intonations and swift, clipping pace.
First, he focused on the facial hair. Years ago, Nathanial had undergone a beard transplant to enhance his ability to grow thick, authentic facial hair. For this role, he needed Dimitri’s signature look: a dense, well-groomed beard that was slightly graying at the edges. He began with a testosterone regimen weeks prior, ensuring his natural beard matched the density and style needed, then dyed it to achieve the perfect salt-and-pepper effect.
To achieve Dimitri’s receding hairline, Nathanial underwent a temporary hairline modification using a technique involving electrical follicle manipulation. This non-invasive procedure adjusted the growth patterns of his hair to mimic a receding hairline, creating a natural appearance without the need for prosthetics like a bald cap. He carefully blended his natural hair with additional strands that matched the texture and color of Dimitri’s hair, ensuring a seamless appearance.
Next, he prepared the ear and teeth prosthetics. Dimitri had distinctly large, lobed ears—a feature that could draw attention if not replicated accurately. Using silicone molds, Nathanial crafted oversized ear prosthetics that attached with special adhesive strong enough to integrate with his skin for extended periods. The teeth were another critical aspect; Dimitri had a noticeable gold cap on one of his upper molars. Nathanial created a set of dental caps, including the gold one, which could be worn comfortably for days and would withstand detailed scrutiny.
Adjusting his height was the next step. Nathanial was naturally 5'10", but Dimitri was known to be a slightly imposing 6'1". Using specially crafted shoe lifts that fit inside his boots, Nathanial managed an additional three inches without compromising his ability to walk naturally. This adjustment required Nathanial to practice Dimitri’s walk, which was a confident, slightly lumbering gait that suggested years of physical labor.
Once the prosthetics were ready, Nathanial applied them himself and tested them extensively to ensure they remained securely attached to his body. Sometimes, the prosthetics were worn for so long that his skin began to integrate with them, a testament to their durability and his commitment to the role.
The final touches involved accessories that would round out Dimitri’s persona: a vintage Soviet watch, a worn leather wallet containing family photos and membership cards to various local establishments, and a set of keys to a nondescript, slightly rusty Volga sedan.
As Nathanial reviewed his transformation in the mirror, fully morphed into Dimitri Ivanov, he practiced his dialect again, ensuring every inflection and nuance was just right. The reflection showed not a CIA agent, but a Moscow native, ready to delve deep into the dangerous underbelly of Russia's criminal world. His preparation complete, Nathanial was ready to step into a life that was not his own, armed with nothing but his wits and his impeccable disguise

The soft crunch of snow beneath your boots filled the air as you made your way toward North’s workshop. The morning sunlight reflected off the frost-covered windows, making the entire building glisten like a treasure chest buried in an arctic dream. You adjusted the hem of your red velvet dress nervously, feeling the luxurious fabric sway with each step. The dress was fitted at the bodice, with intricate golden embroidery spiraling down like frost patterns on a windowpane. A delicate white blouse peeked out from beneath the sleeveless gown, its high lace collar and ruffled cuffs adding an elegant touch.
A gold sash trimmed with shimmering thread wrapped around my waist, cinching the dress perfectly. My pearl bracelets jingled softly as you shifted the cape draped over your shoulders — a deep crimson velvet lined with plush white fur. It flowed behind you like a regal train, brushing the snow-dusted ground.
On your head rested a golden flower crown adorned with tiny, frosted leaves, glimmering under the pale winter sun. A few pearl ornaments dangled from the crown, catching the light with every movement. You tucked a loose curl of hair behind one of your pointed elf ears, still adjusting to how Jack insisted on them for the “look.”
Your gloves, white as fresh snow, were embroidered with tiny golden stars at the cuffs, and the boots you wore matched perfectly — laced up the front with golden ribbon. You felt as if you'd walked straight out of one of North’s storybooks.
"Perfect for the occasion." Jack had said when he handed me the outfit the day before, his eyes glinting with devilry. I should have known better than to trust him.
As you stepped inside, the scent of pine and cinnamon wrapped around you like a warm hug. The workshop was bustling with activity, elves darting around with rolls of wrapping paper, and yetis carefully placing ornaments on towering Christmas trees. I spotted North near the center, his booming laughter echoing as he gave directions to his crew. Jack was nowhere in sight.
"Ah, there you are!" North greeted, his smile as bright as the twinkling lights above. "Jack said you'd be coming. He’s… somewhere. Likely up to no good." His chuckle hinted at an amused exasperation only someone used to Jack’s antics could muster.
You barely had time to respond when a familiar chill swept past you, and Jack materialized out of thin air, his signature smirk firmly in place. "You made it!" He exclaimed, his crystal blue eyes sparkling with rascality. "And look at you! Absolutely perfect!" He swung to lean on his staff, cocking his head to the side in admiration.
You glimpsed down at your outfit, then back at him. "What is this all for?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jack only grinned wider. "You'll see."
He led you further into the workshop, weaving between workbenches and stacks of presents. You noticed the elves were unusually giggly, whispering and pointing as we passed. Suspicion started to creep in, but Jack’s enthusiasm was contagious, and you found yourself relaxing despite your better judgment.
Finally, we reached a clearing near the center of the workshop, where a large circle of garland and fairy lights had been arranged. Suspended above it was the most elaborate display of mistletoe I had ever seen. There were at least twenty sprigs, all hanging at different heights, with tiny bells attached that jingled softly as they swayed.
"Jack..." You said slowly, crossing your arms. "What is this?"
He tried to look innocent — unsuccessfully. "Oh, just a little festive fun. You know, holiday spirit and all that."
Before you could respond, a troublesome gust of wind swept through the room, pushing you gently but firmly under the mistletoe. Jack followed; hands clasped behind his back as he hovered just close enough to make your cheeks flush a soft rose.
"Jack!" You scoffed, glancing around. The elves were peeking out from behind corners, barely containing their laughter, and even North was watching from a distance, shaking his head with a grin.
"Relax." Jack said, his voice low and teasing. "It's just a harmless tradition. Besides, it’s not my fault the mistletoe decided to… encourage things."
You peeked up, realizing the mistletoe was now glowing faintly. Jack’s magic, no doubt.
"Encourage things?" You repeated, your tone incredulous.
He shrugged, leaning in just enough to make your heart race. "Well, you’re here, I’m here, and the mistletoe has already made up its mind. Might as well not disappoint it."
The room erupted in laughter and cheers as Jack pressed a quick, playful kiss to my lips, his breath cool against your skin. Your face burned, and you swatted at him in embarrassment, but he only laughed, his joy as bright as the frost-covered decorations around us.
"You're impossible!" You muttered, though you couldn't stop the smile tugging at your lips.
"And you love it!" He shot back, winking before taking your hand. "Now, come on. I’ve got more surprises waiting. Just… maybe watch out for any more mistletoe. You never know where it might show up."
As Jack led you away, the air behind us shimmered faintly, and a warm golden glow filled the workshop. I turned just in time to see Toothiana fluttering in, her iridescent wings catching the light like the finest stained glass.
"Jack!" She scolded as she landed beside North, crossing her arms and fixing him with a pointed stare. "What did you do this time?"
North laughed heartily. "You just missed it, Tooth! Mistletoe mayhem, as always. Jack’s specialty!"
Toothiana rolled her eyes but smiled at me warmly. "You look absolutely lovely, dear." She said, admiring the outfit that Jack had recommended. "Very festive!"
Before you could thank her, the ground trembled slightly, and the sound of hopping echoed through the workshop. Bunny appeared next, his boomerangs strapped to his back and a wreath slung over one arm.
"What's all this racket about?" He inquired, his thick Australian accent cutting through the noise of the workshop. Then his eyes landed on me and Jack. "Ah, let me guess — Frostbite’s up to no good again."
"You know it!" Jack said proudly.
"Figures..." Bunny smirked, rolling his eyes then handing you a small box. "Merry Christmas, mate. Thought you’d like this."
The room was quickly filling with the Guardians. Sandy floated in, sprinkling golden sand that turned into sparkling ornaments mid-air, and even Pitch Black made a rare appearance, staying toward the shadows but nodding in greeting.
The warmth of their presence filled the workshop, and you couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with joy. Christmas was truly a time of togetherness, and even Jack’s pranks couldn’t dampen the magic of the day.

doings
so. I'm home from the farm and now i have to yet again rearrange a bunch of my house. cut for wittering about personal stuff.
Dude's company laid off most of his team a while back, and as a result, decided it was a bit silly to keep renting office space for now just him and one other guy to come into some of the time. Dude genuinely did go in four days a week, but he had to agree it was really pretty dumb to rent an entire office suite for him to sit in sometimes.
the company didn't want any of the furnishings. they wanted some of the networking equipment, but-- the previous company, before it was acquired, had bought most of the office furniture. this company didn't care about it. so they sent dude one of those big foam-padded locking hard-sided cases to load the networking equipment into, and told him to leave behind whatever he didn't want in that office, and they'd negotiate with the landlord about disposing of it. (This is normal; when they moved into that suite, under the previous company, the previous tenants had abandoned it full of furniture and garbage, and dude's folks had just picked out what of the garbage they felt they could use-- mostly, chairs-- and the landlord cleared out the rest.)
Dude of course asked his former coworkers if any of them wanted their desks or chairs. One of them is kind of a hoarder, so he actually rented a Uhaul to get the desks out-- they were super nice work tables actually, very large and heavy, and there were eight. I wanted one, and he was perfectly happy to drop one of them off in our garage, and didn't even want us to reimburse him for part of the Uhaul. He has a use for two more, and the other five are just... in a storage unit somewhere.... if you need a really nice workbench lmk i know a guy who has some. LOL.
(No they're SUCH a pain in the ass to move.)
So anyway yesterday was the day Dude had agreed with the landlord he'd be clearing out the space and turning over the keys. he was going to do it by himself, but I was like.... how are you gonna turn in the parking pass and then get your car out of the garage it's in? well he'd have to pay for parking someplace. hmmm no. and like.... some of that shit is heavy. no.
so I went in with him. I cleaned the fridge really thoroughly, went through the kitchen cabinets and threw out garbage etc., while he took down all the networking equipment and wrapped it all in bubble wrap and put it in the giant hard case.
there wasn't enough packing material. here my years of expertise working in the shipping department of a camera store came into play. We wound up using whole clean rolls of paper towels to fill in around the sides of the case, and then could close it and know everything in it was held firmly and would not rattle.
He inventoried the chairs. Two were still the original expensive Steelcase chairs the first company had bought them, so we took those. There was a really sturdy folding table with adjustable heights that I insisted we take. And then there were the rest of the rolls of (brand-name!!) paper towels, and assorted other things that I thought we'd use. We put all the garbage into a pile near the door for the custodial staff, making sure to put anything that was *not* garbage far away so it wasn't ambiguous. There were a number of large monitors and things around that we had no use for, so we left them. I threw out empty packaging where i found it, and broken power adapters, but left a box of assorted power cords and other cables. We left the whiteboards, markers, and erasers. Left the dish soap, left the clean dishes and wire rack that held them. I threw out most of the huge pile of takeout utensils that had been accumulated, but left a small curated selection including a set of metal utensils someone had obviously brought in from home and abandoned.
It was pouring rain, but we wheeled everything out balanced on the office chairs all down the block in the rain, and went out for pho on the way home. And now we have several nice office chairs and I'm going to throw out my two worst antique-salvage ones that don't roll, once I decide which are my worst two.
And that folding table is going to hold a sewing machine, because I had been using the desk in our home office on the days when Dude was going in to the office, and I obviously can't do that anymore.
I'm also trying like heck to clear out one sorta quadrant of the basement to fit the work table (it was really never ideal as a desk, adjustable-height to Not Quite Low Enough, and it's 30" deep but also 96" long which is ridiculous). I want it as a counter-height workspace for cutting fabric, although I'd prefer something 36" wide.... but it'll do... but that means I need to clear out a bunch of stuff and make room and....
well I seem somewhere to have lost my ability to sort things. I was never great at it, and by now it's just. Gone. Idon't know how to determine what items go together. I'm great at organizing a work kit-- my purse for example, every single item in it has a designated spot and that's fantastic and i am always prepared with the things I need in my purse. My car, I made a seat-back organizer and it works fantastically well and holds every thing I need in it and I have now several times saved the day because i knew right where The THing was.
But that's notably not sorting. I can organize, but i can't sort. I need to distinguish among all these things and put them into large storage containers so that I can later retrieve individual items from larger containers. I don't know what category the items are. All the helpful advice people give me about how to organize things, how to tidy a space, involve doing some kind of sorting. I can't sort things. Poeple are like "just pick one thing you know needs to go X and do it!" and i'm like. That's sorting! That is sorting. I don't know how to sort. I can't categorize items. i can only interact with them individually. "This is a thing I will need. This is a thing I will not." That's sorting. I can make like, one decision like that in a day, and even that I will question. Making piles of objects by category means I have a one-object-deep layer over my entire work surface within a short period of time, and then I take everything I took out of the box to sort, shrug, sweep it back into the box, and give up, having achieved literally nothing except for having wasted the entire time I spent working on it. So all the "can't you just" advice people give me is Not Helpful and unfortunately I am all out of the grace to appreciate the sentiment behind it, which is nobody's fault but is also the incontrovertible truth.
So if you have advice, maybe don't, unless you have a good way to like, reconceptualize the entire exercise, which I have not thought of, and which is NOT "throw it all out", thanks, I don't need that one either and I won't be nice about it. FYI.
I have attempted to recognize things that are actual garbage, and discard them, but that's about as clever as I can manage to be. SO it's a work in progress and it's going slower than I want and mostly, it's just me taking piles and moving them to a different area of the basement, thereby rendering that part of the basement unusable. Blergh.
But if i can get this table into position, then I will have a work surface, and incidentally will have rendered that whole area of the basement, which is lined with huge wire shelves I purchased intending to organize myself with and then never managed to do so and instead filled with unsorted junk, accessible, and so if I ever find either medication that helps me, or a friend to help me, or a new brain lying around somewhere that I can co-opt and use, I will be able to (in fantasy cuckoo-land) organize some of this junk onto those shelves. I can hope. And then it would be a usable workspace. With a nice work table. Isn't that a compelling fantasy???
I've covered the card tables I was using to cut fabric on with boxes in the meantime, meaning I can't work on any sewing projects, but the card tables were at a height such that I could spend about seven to eight minutes cutting fabric on them and then be crippled with crunchy lower back pain for twelve hours, so let's be real here I was not getting a whole lot done with that setup anyway.
Anyway the other new challenge is that both dude and i need to come up with some kind of schedule for our days because we're both cooped up fairly unstructured in this house and it's got to be something or we'll both lose our minds.

Horse Whispers - Chapter 6
All my own body hair was in the process of falling out, giving me a chemotherapish look. There was a strip of long blond hair beginning at my forehead which narrowed and arrowed over my head (which had a pink and naked look) and down my back to the top of my stubby tailbone. My ears were high up and to the rear of my head. My lips were thicker, wider and much more moveable. My shoulder and chest were hairless and very white in contrast to the girdle of chocolate brown short fur that wrapped my trunk from my sternum down to my mid thighs. Of course, there was the new tool case and family jewels, in sharp contrast since they were dressed in a creamy beige fur. My legs were too short in the thigh, and too long in the calf and foot, adding a good 8 inches to my height. And then those ludicrous feet. “My God” I breathed and shook my head. “I hope to hell it doesn’t stop here. I look like something He forgot on the workbench” I said in a low voice.
“You haven’t stopped yet” Jerrod said softly coming up behind me. "Your legs have adjusted more since just this morning. And your fur” he touched my sides with both hands and looked in the mirror with me from behind my arm “has spread down your legs.” He ran his hands down my sides, and a thrill of pleasure shocked through me. It ran down my back, through my tail stump, under my crotch, and into my dick, which immediately started to lengthen. We all noticed it and I forgot everything as a strong need overtook my mind; the need demanded release. He quickly withdrew his hands.
And just as quickly I turned and took them in mine. I looked down into his wet face and I actually smiled and felt sorry for him. I drew his arms back to my sides and tried to look encouraging, not really sure how my face would register it. He shook his head sadly.
The doctor looked between us both and sighed, “Jerrod, this is where you come in again. When you took this position, I warned you it might be difficult. Well, Cody <shudder> has formed a bond with you. We all know it to be true. And as his trainer,” he paused, “you may be required to help him in some unexpected ways.”
I blushed. “Jerrod, I need a release right now. I don’t know why, but I sense that its important” I said quietly. “Would you stay with me please? I don’t want to be alone with myself.” He was struggling. Part of him expelled sorrow. But another part exuded raw musky masculine desire. On detecting that, my body reacted swiftly, adding a note of powerful sweaty sweetness to the air. I lowered my chin to look him more directly in his beautiful dark eyes, and slowly, powerfully, I drew his body close to me.
I stooped a little, and wrapped my arms under his and around his back. I stood back up and lifted him to my face with little effort. My mind was thinking of a kiss. But what I did was lick. My flat wide tongue came out and I ran it up his neck, across his cheek, onto his nose and up his forehead, oh so slowly. My nose wrinkled. No, it was my upper lip I realized, and as a result I discovered how to focus my olfactory senses. The flehmen behavior was a natural part of me now. I focused on his desire. I had never smelled anything like it before! And it had a profound effect on me.
My dick powerfully and unstoppably climbed up its slick pipe, and forced open the roseate door at the top. We both looked down in amazement to watch it emerge and extend, inch after inch. The head had changed shape and color, from a pink arrow to a dark brown mushroom. It stiffened and widened as it slithered straight up my chest in the space between us. I looked upwards and pulled Jerrod close to me, squeezing my slippery horse cock tightly between us. My heart started beating faster, and every pulse could be felt in that shaft.
“Cody <I shivered and whickered> put me down for a moment” Jerrod said softly. I didn’t. “Cody, <I shuddered> put me down!” he said in a firm command. My arms complied with his authority, but some part of my mind objected wildly. He smiled hesitantly up at me as he began to undress.
I stood there, opening and closing my hands, struggling against an urge I had never felt before, let alone acted upon. This man was mine. I was going to own him. Every part of him was my property, and nothing was going to get between us. He would be my mate and nothing could stop me. Refusal was not an option, only acceptance would be allowed. He would take my seed, and he would give me a foal. He would be happy and fulfilled. I would be doing her an honor, and favoring her with my protection. She would take her place in my herd, and become my first mare.
Jerrod stood before me, soft and furless, pink and pretty, and the air around us tasted like power! I threw back my head and shouted my challenge to all in earshot; This one is mine! Now and forever! Come not between us for your rank shall surely suffer! She tasted fearful, as though not quite at her cusp of readiness. Well, a little encouragement was in order. I pranced over to her, and bent down to inhale her readiness. I licked her tiny rear end with my long flat tongue and snorted under her tail. The signs were not there. There was no visible motion, but I was not to be denied. She would mate with me regardless of readiness. I grabbed her from behind and bent her forward into a more correct position. She protested loudly with noise and struggle, but there would be no coy nay-saying this day.

How A Ladder Can Make Your Work Easier
A ladder is a set of rungs or steps. There are two variants of the ladder: rigid ladders which are self-supporting and that may be leaned against a vertical surface such as a wall, and aluminum which may be hung from the top. Rigid ladders are generally moveable, but some types are permanently fixed to a building. They are usually made up of metal, wood, and fiberglass, but they have been known to be made of tough plastic.
Ladders are the most wanted love of every housewife. Either it is to clean spider houses or to make your child like a monkey. Every housewife loves it. And for men, it plays the role of lifesaver to climb it and find their long-lost files. The ladder plays a very crucial role in every house. Not just only in the houses but also in shops too. Ladders have all the capacity to make you go from zero to hero.
Aluminum Ladders
Aluminum is the most well-liked choice for ladders used in households because the leading features of aluminium ladders are that they have a high strength-to-weight ratio which makes an aluminum model easy to transport and store as well as less expensive to produce than ladders which made from other materials. Aluminum products, such as ladders, may weigh up as much as 50% less.
Folding Ladders
A folding ladder is a ladder that is in the form of the step ladder style with one or more but generally not more than three that’s one-way hinges. For this ladder, Storage is not a problem as it is packed together once folded and be able to be easily stowed away. You can use this on rough surfaces such as a flight of stairs. As this type of ladder is lightweight, this is extremely moveable and suitable to use.
Telescopic Ladder
Telescoping ladders are a more versatile, moveable, and convenient form of the traditional ladder. As opposed to a typical adjustable ladder and extension ladder, this ladder used patented technology to extend and lock by the foot to a user's desired height, making them enormously versatile. This is convenient to store which is due to their compact nature. This is less vulnerable to the elements which are partially due to storage, and partially due to their makeup. This is lightweight because of that it is easily carried and transported. This is highly versatile which is appropriate for several jobs. This has high safety standards which are due to the sturdy build.
Multipurpose ladder
Multipurpose ladders are versatile and can be used for any purpose. It can be changeable and adjustable into a variety of positions according to how users want to use it. Users can use them as a step ladder, low platform, workbench, and an extension ladder with standoff (L-shaped bend), and that’s all in one single ladder which is an easily stored package. We can use it as the single solution for all our ladder requirements as it is very easily adjustable to any type of ladder. It is cost-effective as it eliminates the need to buy a variety of ladders for different purposes. It reduces space requirements for storage as you can buy only a single ladder and as well as you can fold multi-purpose ladders, make them compact and convenient to move at the same time.
The most common household ladders that are used for home purposes are step-ladders in which aluminum ladders are very strong and that’s why the most preferred choice for home purposes. Ladders made up of aluminum are lightweight and non-corrosive
Different kinds of industrial ladders are used for various applications. Most industrial ladders are made up of metal because they are required to be durable. Aluminum ladders become very popular because they are lighter in weight as compared to steel ladders and that is also not affected by corrosion. Some of the commonly used industrial ladders are step ladders, extension ladders, folding ladders, and platform ladders.
In my opinion, ladders are the most useful, sensible, and most importantly motivational things a person could ask for. It gives you a light, a light of path for your journey.
Quality that we all desire and it can become from those who are experienced in their work. So here for you EQUAL in which the name itself expresses the right one. EQUAL is a solution provider based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of the leading manufacturers in India. With Experience of 20+ years, EQUAL provides high-quality Ladders all over India at the best price. It designs ladders that are made from stainless steel and aluminum. The Evolution of Workbenches: From Simple Tables to High-Tech Workstations
Workbenches have been the backbone of countless workshops and labs for centuries, serving as the primary surface where ideas are transformed into tangible creations. While the basic concept of a sturdy table hasn't changed, the evolution of workbenches reflects the advancements in technology, industry demands, and the need for increased efficiency and safety in the workplace.
The Humble Beginnings
In the early days, workbenches were simple, sturdy wooden tables, designed to withstand the rigours of manual labour. These early benches were often built by the craftsmen themselves, tailored to their specific needs. Whether it was a carpenter’s bench with a vice and a few drawers for tools or a blacksmith’s anvil table, these workbenches were as much a tool as the hammer or saw used on them.
The Rise of Specialisation
As industries grew more specialised, so did the workbenches. The Industrial Revolution brought about the need for more sophisticated designs. Metalworking benches began to feature reinforced tops and integrated storage for heavy tools, while woodworking benches evolved to include clamping systems and specialised surfaces for planing and sawing.
The advent of electricity also had a significant impact, with workbenches increasingly being fitted with integrated lighting, power outlets, and even built-in tool stands. These innovations made it easier for workers to perform detailed tasks and kept essential tools within arm’s reach.
The Modern Workbench: High-Tech and Highly Functional
Today’s workbenches are a far cry from their predecessors. In professional settings, especially in electronics and manufacturing industries, workbenches have become highly specialised, designed to meet the demands of modern workflows.
One of the most significant advancements has been the introduction of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) ready workbenches. With the rise of delicate electronic components that are susceptible to static damage, these benches feature static-dissipative surfaces and grounding systems to protect sensitive equipment. Adjustable height workbenches have also gained popularity, promoting ergonomics by allowing workers to set the bench to a comfortable level, whether they’re standing or sitting.
Customisation has become another key feature. Modern workbenches can be outfitted with modular storage, adjustable shelving, integrated lighting, and even computer mounts, making them versatile and adaptable to any task. Whether it’s a lab technician assembling circuit boards or a craftsman handcrafting furniture, there’s a workbench designed to fit the specific needs of the job.
Looking to the Future
As industries continue to evolve, so too will the workbenches that support them. The future might see workbenches equipped with smart technology, incorporating sensors and IoT connectivity to monitor workspace conditions or provide real-time data to enhance productivity and safety. Sustainability could also drive innovation, with eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs becoming more prevalent.
Conclusion
The workbench has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a simple wooden table. Today’s high-tech workstations are designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and comfort, reflecting the ever-changing needs of modern professionals. As technology continues to advance, it’s exciting to imagine what the next evolution of the workbench will bring to workshops and labs around the world.

[A] the discovery (rouge)
I got the call last night, a sting mission to Dr. Eggman's base. They had a reliable tip that the Ultimate Lifeform was still alive. I had to take it.
Eggman security is trivially easy. Navigating it is more difficult. I had to crawl on the ceiling through a maze so dense, that I thought the headrush would have gotten me. But finally, I found what GUN had been looking for.
Shadow.
He was unassumingly lying on a workbench. Strange to see him older, as if he had aged with the rest of us. There was a shininess to his skin, and certain articulate points to where his joints would be that suggested that this wasn't his original body. No, how could it be? He fell from space five years ago, after saving the world from certain doom--there's no way he could have survived, not as he was.
"What are you doing here?"
Eggman's voice jumps me out of my skin, and I jump enough to skim my fingers over Shadow's arm. It's cold. Chills run down my spine.
Eggman is in casual sleeping clothes, something that is strangely humanizing and unsettling. He adjusts his glasses and sneers at me. "Well? Don't make me sound the alarm."
"He...did you...is he...?" is all I can manage to say, unable to take my eyes off this ghost on a mechanic's table.
Eggman sighs. "Not for any lack of trying," he says, strolling over with his hands behind his back. "I've been working on this for about four years. Unfortunately, I've hit a road block and had to move on to other things."
"What kind of road block?" I ask.
"Like you could possibly understand!" he replies haughtily, but his expression grows tired, and he shakes his head. "No...no. Not the time for this."
He walks over to an object about my height covered with a sheet. He unveils it to reveal a stasis tube, liquid fuchsia red. Inside is a twisted creature, covered in black and red scales. Its body is not complete, and is patched with brown skin. One arm is intact, but the other is a half-grown tentacle, fingers hardly developed. Its face is completely scarred over, skull exposed to reveal part of its brain. I inhale sharply, dizzy.
"That," he says, "is what is left of the Ultimate Lifeform. I pulled everything I could from the ARK to try and piece together how my grandfather created him. It turns out he made a deal with an alien life form known as the Black Arms."
"Unbelievable," I say, breathless.
"When my robots found him, he was already starting to....regenerate." he says. His voice is distant, haunted. "He has been slowly progressing, but he would not survive outside of the stasis tube. His heartbeat is weak, and can hardly breathe on his own."
"That's enough," I interrupt, covering my face. Tears were prickling at the corners of my eyes, and it took all I had to hold them back. "An alien..."
His eyebrows furrow. "It's the only reason he even survived. But, without intervention..." Eggman shakes his head, sober as death. "He had finally figured out his purpose. He was just a boy. I didn't--couldn't leave him like that. So, I've been working on a reconstruction solution."
He paces back to the workbench around Shadow. "Making a new chassis was easy, and with some research I could wire everything up relatively the same. But, I'm not a geneticist. That's harder. His brain is...mostly intact, and so is his spinal cord. With that network, it could be possible to integrate him to his new body. I could develop the software...but for it to be him, it would need to interface with his mind, with the hopes that his memories are still stored. There's so little we know about the brain, even at the top level, and I..."
He trails off. Never had I ever seen him in this state. It makes me wonder if in some forgotten past, he was a father to ill-fated children. Or, maybe there's some good and kindness in all of us, even the megalomaniacs.
There is nothing for me to say to it, so I only say what I am here for. "GUN received a tip about...this," I manage. "They want to retrieve him."
"For what purpose?" Eggman snaps. "What, to build a weapon out of him? To further indite my grandfather? Experiment on complex A.I.? Or..."
He pauses in frustration, pacing around the workbench.
"They could finish building him," I suggest quietly. "They've been doing extensive Chaos energy research with their drives. Not to mention they have the manpower to work on complex software."
"Of course they do, they're the government," he grumbles. "Who's to say they won't destroy my operations here?"
"If that was the case, why did they send a sting, like me?" I retort. "Someone who has history, with both you and him?"
He stares down at Shadow, still and lifeless. "Do you think they could?" he whispers. "Could they finish what I started?"
I nod slowly. "I don't think they would want him if they couldn't." I look directly at the doctor. "And I wouldn't be here if there weren't a chance."
Eggman sighs deeply. "If I just wanted a replica, I would have just made that. That's child's play," he mutters.
I don't think he's talking to me. I vaguely recall seeing humanoid robots deeper inside the base. The paneling and styling were marks of their robotics, but especially comparing them to Shadow on the table, they were quite convincing. If I'm not escorted out, perhaps I will look for myself. But again, it's not about making a replica, is it?
This is technological necromancy.
Eggman takes off his glasses, eyes strangely beady, especially dwarfed by his mustache, and gives me a stern look. "You can tell GUN that he's here. And they can take him," he says. "No more than five people. They need to find a way to integrate his organics. They will not take down the facility. No weapons. You will be here to guide and observe. And I want to see him when he is complete."
"Or else?"
"Or else you'll all be turned into scrap." He folds his arms. "And it had better be him. Better dead than a facsimile."
I nod, swallowing hard. I couldn't make that choice, but there's a part of me that's comforted that someone could.
#literally changed my mind on how shadow was found in the middle of writing this#and i know it would be tee hee fun for the monsterfuckers if we let him mutate. B!shad is your alien girl#if you take A!shad out of the test tube he's going to collapse like a blobfish and GUN will discover that soon enough#i also still don't know if i want to pursue the 'A!eggman is sonic's dad' route yet but i'm laying the groundwork just in case

The durability of a mobile workbench tool chest is crucial, especially in a professional setting where it might endure heavy use. Opt for workbenches made from high-quality steel or industrial-grade polymers that offer durability and stability. Check the load capacity to ensure it can support the weight of your tools and any projects you might undertake on the workbench surface.
3. Consider Storage Configuration
Storage needs vary from one professional to another, so it’s important to choose a mobile tool chest workbench in Brisbane that fits your specific tool storage requirements. Look for a model with a variety of drawer sizes to accommodate both large tools and smaller items. Drawers with secure locks are a bonus for added security, especially if you store valuable tools or work in shared spaces.
