"Being infinite, God cannot be limited to any form, human or stone; yet He is manifest in all forms. One can rightly say that God manifests in every man as well as in great saints, for He is present in all." ~ Paramahansa Yogananda Shiva: The Perfected Yogi Whose Energy Flows “Down and Out!”
Lord Shiva, as the Adi (first) yogi, is revered by his devotees as the embodiment of yogic perfection and as the giver of yoga science to mankind. Depictions of him beautifully portray the signs of complete yoga-mastery: his two eyes are half closed in meditation, while the all-seeing eye of intuition is open in his forehead. The snake garlanded around his neck attests to his having raised the life-force (kundalini) and subdued maya. His forehead is adorned with a crescent moon, symbolizing that the ego has been spiritualized and merged in final oneness with Spirit. And (as it turns out, importantly for us) the river Ganges is depicted as flowing out of his matted locks into the world.
This depiction of the Ganges has its origin in Indian mythology: Eons ago, the Indian king Bhagiratha’s ancestors were cursed by a rishi (as usual!) to not find redemption until the sacred river Ganga (Ganges), then residing in heaven, were brought to earth and made to flow over their ashes. Bhagiratha, after years of penance, obtained from Brahma the boon of the Ganges’ descent to earth. However, lest the earth be unable to endure the powerful flow of Ganga’s descent, Lord Shiva caught Ganga’s waters in his matted locks, whence he released them in a controlled, benign flow. As a result, Lord Shiva received the epithet “Gangadhar,” meaning “He who holds or controls the (river) Ganga.”
Outer mythology often hides a deeper inner meaning. In this case we get a glimpse of this meaning, by sheer luck, through Paramhansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi. He states there that Lahiri Mahasaya’s name in his previous life was “Gangadhar,” and that he was so addressed by Babaji at their first meeting, outside “Babaji’s Cave” near Ranikhet. Yogananda therefore explains the genesis of this name in a footnote (much of the previous paragraph comes from this same footnote) which contains this line:
The metaphysical significance of “Gangadhar” is “he who has control over the ‘river’ of life-current in the spine.”
A perfect epithet for Lord Shiva, no doubt! But at this point, the keen yoga student notices an anomaly. From Day One the aspiring yogi is taught that the yogic motto is “Inward and upward!” For this is the classic yogic goal: to direct the life-current (kundalini) inward and upward through the chakras to the brain. And here Lord Shiva, the giver of yoga science, demonstrates his complete yoga mastery by doing just the opposite: the “river of life-current” descends from his sahasrara out into the world!
How can a downward and outward flow of energy (and a lot of energy too, for the Ganges is a mighty river) be a sign of yoga-perfection? For disciples the next step is easy: We seek the answer in our Guru’s teachings. And Swami Kriyananda, in clarifying for the coming generations the subtle points of Paramhansa Yogananda’s life and teachings, writes in his book Cities of Light something that is truly novel:
The time has come for people to live lives of even higher dedication than that which inspired monks and nuns in the past. Those dedicated souls lived lives that were focused on God, but theirs was also a spirit of negative denial of this world, which God made.
The time has come now for people to direct their spiritual awareness also downward into matter . . . to everything they do: to their work, to education, to family life, to friendship, to their communications with strangers, to the way they build their homes—to all the most mundane, practical aspects of daily, human life.
Men need now to become God-centered from within, and from that center to see God everywhere, in everything.
Swami Kriyananda clarifies in these excerpts, as he did indeed through his life’s example, the subtle yoga teaching that raising the energy inward and upward is only one part of mastering the life-force. The yogi must learn also how to direct this energy down and out in a strong flow, while retaining complete control over it, so that he can act as an instrument of divine blessing in God’s creation. “Negative denial of the world,” as Swamiji points out, implies that complete yoga-union has still not been attained, for it is a denial of God in his aspect as the Cosmic Creator.
Swami Vivekananda too, upon once encountering a saint who wanted nothing to do with the world, and lived always behind a walled-up cave evading all visitors (including saints!), made a telling comment:
“This saint perhaps is not perfected—too much of rites, vows, observances and too much of self-concealment. The ocean in its fullness cannot be contained within its shores, I am sure.”
In the Chapter on Kriya Yoga Paramhansa Yogananda explains further:
Yoga enables the devotee to switch off or on, at will, life current from the five sense telephones of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Attaining this power of sense-disconnection, the yogi finds it simple to unite his mind at will with divine realms or with the world of matter.
Yoga mastery is thus not one sided, teaching us only to withdraw into deep meditation. The obverse holds as well: we learn how to function perfectly in this world, created by God, being 100% “in” it but not “of” it. And this is what the depiction of Shiva, as the Perfected Yogi, symbolizes: the energy (Ganga) has been raised up and locked firmly at the sahasrara (in his “matted locks”), but then released back into “the world of matter” as a strong yet completely controlled flow, to serve as a source of blessings to all Creation. In handing Yogananda a broom right after bestowing upon him the highest experience of samadhi, Sri Yukteswar was teaching his disciple this same principle.
Paramhansa Yogananda, too, did not teach the path of world-rejecting meditation. He taught instead the Shiva-like path of Self-realization: daily deep meditation to raise the consciousness inward and upward, and then also to bring that high consciousness down in a strong, creative flow that spiritualizes all our activities and uplifts our fellow beings. This yoga training is complete, for it helps us overcome the final duality—between the God perceived in meditation and God as manifest in His Creation—thus making us completely free.
Through our Guru’s training, let us aspire towards this perfect yoga mastery, the essence of which is also captured so beautifully in Swami Kriyananda’s affirmation* for Practicality:
Though my spirit soars in the skies of consciousness, my feet and hands labor here on earth to make truth real to all.

“Transcendental Meditation opens the awareness to the infinite reservoir of energy, creativity, and intelligence that lies deep within everyone.” — Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
“Knowing that I am different from the body, I need not neglect the body. It is a vehicle that I use to transact with the world. It is the temple which houses the Pure Self within.” — Adi Shankara
In Hinduism, the deity Shiva is considered the master of time, space, and all cosmic energies, making him a powerful focus point for meditation, allowing practitioners to connect with the vastness and interconnectedness of the universe through his symbolism. Connecting with Lord Shiva for Spiritual Awakening.

Translation
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, whose lotus feet are revered by Lord Indra, king of the devas; who has a snake as his sacrificial thread, a moon on his head and is very compassionate; who is praised by Narada, sage of the gods, and other yogis; who is a Digambara, wearing the sky as his dress, symbolizing his free being.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, who has the brilliance of a million suns, who saves devotees from the cycle of rebirths, and who is supreme; who has a blue throat, who grants us our desires, and who has three eyes; who is death unto death itself and whose eyes look like a lotus; whose trident supports the world and who is immortal.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, who holds the trident, mattock, noose, and club in his hands; whose body is dark, who is the primordial Lord, who is immortal, and free from the diseases of the world; who is immensely mighty and who loves the wonderful tandava dance.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, the one who bestows both desires and salvation, who has a pleasing appearance; who is loving to his devotees, who is stable as the god of all the worlds; who wears a golden belt around his waist with bells that make a melodious sound when he moves.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, who ensures that dharma (righteousness) prevails, who destroys the path of adharma (unrighteousness); who saves us from the bonds of karma, thereby freeing our soul; and who has golden-hued snakes entwined around his body.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, whose feet are adorned with two golden sandals with gems; who is the eternal, non-dual Ishta devata (god who grants our desires); who destroys the pride of Yama (God of Death); whose terrible teeth liberate us.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, whose loud roar destroys the sheaths of creations (meaning the delusions of our mind) of the lotus-born Brahma; whose very glance is enough to destroy all our sins; who gives us the eight siddhis (accomplishments); and who wears a garland of skulls.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi, who is the leader of ghosts and goblins, who bestows glory; who frees the people of Kashi from their sinful and righteous deeds; who guides us on the path of righteousness, who is the most ancient (eternal) lord of the universe.
Salutations to Lord Kalabhairava, the supreme lord of Kashi. Those who read these eight verses of the Kalabhairava Ashtakam, which is beautiful, which is a source of knowledge and liberation, which increases the various forms of righteousness in a person, which destroys grief, attachment, poverty, greed, anger, and heat – will attain (after death) the feet of Lord Kalabhairava.

The story of Swami Sivananda's Guru, Swami Vishwananda Saraswati:
In short, when Swami Sivananda renounced the world, he was a doctor serving in hospitals of the rubber plantations in Malaysia. He first returned to India and came for a time to Varanasi, then made his way to Rishikesh, by holy Mother Ganga. He prayed to Lord Shiva, this was ideal place for his sadhana and grateful for Shiva's blessing to be in such holy atmosphere. Next morning after sleeping on the veranda of a local temple he awoke to meditate. When he opened his eyes he found another Yogi sitting by him in deep meditation. He immediately recognized him as his Guru, and gave full prostrations. This was holy ParamGuru Swami Vishwananda Saraswati, who then gave Swami Sivananda initiation as a Swami in holy monastic Dasnami Order of Adi Sankaracharya. Swami Vishwananda said he was from holy Varanasi and if Swami Sivananda wanted he could accompany him to return. Swami Sivananda chose to stay in holy Rishikesh. Later many of Swami Sivananda's monastic disciples, including Swami Paramananda, Swami Venkatesananda, and others searched throughout the Rishikesh and all of Varanasi areas, but found no Swami by that name anywhere. It was concluded that this was Lord Vishwanath Himself, Lord Shiva. This was in 1924.

I WAS A MILLENIAL ON A SPIRITUAL QUEST
How would you like to get started on learning Human Design?
????? what the heck is that ??????
My Story
In December 2017, I was on a call with one of my teachers from the group Trillium Awakening. They asked me for my birthday, time and place of birth, and sent me my Human Design body graph. They talked about how I was a projector, and they were too, how it was a rare type, and that I had a lot of open centers, meaning, I was really open to conditioning from the outside world.
They suggested I check it out and some of its free resources. A small tool too accelerate my spiritual process. Which, by the way, could take up to 7 years.
I *WAS* A 20?Something ON A SPIRITUAL QUEST:
THE VICTIM STORY

Yikes! This is cool, but heck if I had the time or money for more of that!
I hardly had enough money to pay for our weekly group calls in a women’s circle - that put a price beyond compare - but stretched me, even at the discounted rate they offered.
No one in my family had put money into spiritual or personal development work, while I was knee-deep in the stuff. To be honest, I didn’t really feel like I had a choice.
Doing work on spiritual development was a choice between “This stuff is so expensive. If I do this I won’t have any money and I will die” and “This stuff is absolutely what I need at this point in my life and that the world needs to evolve so if I don’t do this…I will also die.”
So? It was, as one of my teacher’s Marc Gafni would call, an erotic double-bind.
I made the choice to go knee-deep in work towards spiritual evolution.
I left the teaching world and I worked in the “gig economy.”
My resume had 5 different education companies.
I worked between 1-40 hours a week, and spent half of it driving.
For months at a time I did what I loved - working with kids - and had no “boss” to call me to the office.
Sounds good, right?
Finally free from educational institutions, I saw how life really worked in people’s homes. I saw the truth of District public and charter schools, and, no matter where I went, I taught kids in the way that felt good to me.
Of course, not everything ended well, and some parents and classroom teachers asked me to *get out* on the first day! But…the recognition of my abilities as a teacher *direct* and *instantaneous.* The progress of the children showed in their creativity.
Let’s get real though about this so-called “gig economy” that promised millennials freedom. No boss meant no W-2. No health insurance. No retirement plan. No coffee breaks. No co-workers.
The road was lonely.
Between driving to tutor or babysit kids at their home, substitute teach at a random school in Maryland, or attend a retreat in New Jersey, I started to feel less like a teacher and more like a truck driver. I took up bad habits that I never imagined as a yogi. I ate protein bars with more sugar than a Snickers and smoked the more the occasional American Spirit that even listening to Adi Da podcasts could not save me from.
I felt sad - but who else could see me but myself?
Some of my friends from my “previous life” no longer spoke to me. I felt ashamed I had left the active lifestyle I once had of biking, walking and yoga, but I knew I could not afford it. I paid for retreats by offering to cook batch meals for the sangha.
I lived in a basement apartment in a house owned by an electronic musician that hosted bands from all over the country. My next door neighbor was an indie musician as well with a great wardrobe and occasional clothing swaps with her New Zealand friends. My closest friend made her own jewelry and tye-die. Two blocks away from the thrift store! So… Major perk - getting to listen to and play music on the reg. and get free, cute clothes. Major downside - working all the time with hardly enough cash to pay the rent to show for my good deeds, and sometimes looking “woke up like this” and other time looking like I hadn’t changed out of my pajamas.
OKAY…SO WHAT IS THIS HUMAN DESIGN STUFF AND HOW DID YOU LEARN IT
Okay, cool. So back to the start of the story. My teacher gave me a tool and I don’t think I looked at it for two years.
But then …. the covid, the lockdowns, the confinement , and suddenly we all had no where to go, everywhere to be (on Zoom) and time, too much of it.
How was I ever going to ‘be’ someBODY?
I won’t go into the depth of “the lockdown” story because at this point, we all have one.
But lockdown story did not produce the kind of “free time” that one might really hope for, unless, of course, you enjoy “free time” like a character from a Albert Camus novel.
Coincidantalment**, I spent the entire time of “confinement” in two foreign
No exit. Like - am I ever going to get out of this? Am I ever going to escape this like square box my form is trapped inside of, speaking to people in a language no one understands?
Okay. I am going to revisit this Human Design stuff. I am going to learn a language that describes the programming of the human body.
No, this isn’t some weird genetic altering stuff. Au, the contrarie!
A system of empowerment that came along at the right time.
When we are, as David A Temple puts it posed between utopia and dystopia. We are getting the call to know ourselves - NOW - in a progressively globalizing and demanding world. And not just globalizing in terms of “oh maybe this bag of chips I’m eating right now came from a Uyghur death camp and perhaps its made of sawdust.” Okay…maybe that too…but really…Globalizing in terms of the planet - the “PLAN-(N)ET” - has a plan to catch us and we best follow her word…or…else.
TO POPPY-SEED QUEEN CURING HER ADDICTIONS: A HEROINE’S JOURNEY
So I spent…every day of French class, every morning, looking at the transits (both astro and HD), recording my dreams, reading my graph, reading the Cross of the day, the Gate, drawing the iChing…taking a university-levelcourse on iChing…ok…maybe there was some magic involved…and many sleepless nights…and…yes…going down to the depths of the bottom of the bottom…the rabbit hole…the worm hole…the brain hole…you name it…its the the “dark night of the soul “ and there ain’t no batman to help you sidekick robin so you better be the hero of your own story and save the day.
I can tell you. I’ve been there. There’s no going back.
…..*di di di di*** the song of “why do I like Human Design so much” ***do do do do**….
1- TRANSPARENT AND EASY AS F**** TO LEARN
I like Human Design because it is a very transparent system. If you’ve gotten a reading in astrology or tarot, the “method” or “magic” is usually a little hidden from the person receiving the reading. This is more “Teach yourself your Self” and a reader is more like a guide.
Like a contractor explaining the blueprint of a house from the day it was built. You might not of had the tools to build the house - but you get it. The plan is clear.
It’s not like Enneagram or Myers-Briggs where you take a quiz and find out a type, only to have it change again half-way through your life. Those tools of human development are well and good (but are subjective), and you should use those too. But that’s not what this is.
This system starts with the objective.
And then you have to test it out.
2 - the 100% USE FOR 100%…KIDS

This system, for as weird as the origin story may appear, was built by a teacher. It was built for children and the generations to come.
Anyone who has ever been a teacher (*and hopefully left the profession because they KNOW how the conditioning is happening) for kids under 7 can SEE how easily children and manipulated and cohereced into a “not-Self” program.
They are literally “programmed” to not-love themselves! The sh*t people are paying beaucoup bucks for to *fix* them later in life!
So let’s cut that s-t out before it beings. Let’s raise a generation of kids who don’t need to go to therapy when they grow up to un-do all the trauma that came from their conditioning.
And for you - “grown up” let’s help you re-parent your inner child.
(People always told me I needed to do that. I had no idea how, or the privilege, I felt, to do it.)
Let’s help you learn to “be alone” with your “Self” as you already are - whole.
3 - IS THIS A RELIgION?
Okay, let’s talk religion - if you grew up Christian (like “me” yay****) confirmed in the Christian church…yadda yadda…you probably have SOME trauma from that stuff. Don’t really care if you go to church every Sunday, are a flat-out atheist or extreme right..some body has GOT to say it…
Everything you have been brought up believe is not the meaning of the Christ.
With a little toe-dipping into esoteric Christianity…
The current image of “Jesus on the Cross” is no more than a sacrificial lamb that has you totally tricked into thinking you need to “die” (to the empire) in order to be “saved.”
No. You are a unique balance of light and dark. Although these do move in the 4 directions, they do not always look like a perfect “cross.” More on that later.
BUT The beauty of it …is also that THERE IS a cross. And you can understand it. And you can be and become your own Christ.
Your own Savior. And take back the power into your own life.
I don’t care if you can name me every book of gospel or if you tell me that Jesus was a historical figure or in fact never lived and is a myth in our imagination. Or if Jesus is coming back down from the heavens tomorrow so repent your sinners or oh shit maybe the world really *IS* on fire and maybe the highest court in the land (the UN) and now has “Inner Development Goals” and realizing that maybe infrastructure is not just made of things. It’s made of people. Who hurt. Who feel. Who laugh. Who cry. And is telling people that maybe they should consider working on themselves.
In other words: It’s not just the third world world that needs supported.
I’m not even sure if this has everything or nothing to do with a guy named Zeus with a big white beard who lives in the sky (although, I have had a couple teachers with big white beards that could compete quite fairly with Grandaddy Marx see “The Stoa” for reference)…but I do know this has everything to do with YOU and your unfolding FATE and DESTINY to live a radical life among the stars.
Yeah…there. I said it.
I’m prothetlytizing on the sidewalk sweeties and its time to convert.
Burn me for it. It’s okay.
Joan was a 5/1. She dressed up as a boy.
They canonized her has a saint.
Let’s see what the rest of us can do.
OKAY….NOW I’M THE BAD GUY BECAUSE…
This knowledge is not free. So I do charge.
It’s an Interior Science. No one will do it for you.
It takes time. You have to test it out for yourself.
Let me ask you this: If you didn’t have a story before…do you have one now?
Try Human Design.
My Design - A Poem
I’m a Savior, but not a Saint.
But the crisis is urgent. And the task is real.
There’s a Devil in command, and I’ve trained him to be quiet.
Wearing masks, playing charades, yet we know it’s all a game.
Yes, it’s all an illusion of MAIA. She’s the goddess. The veil of illusion.
She’s written these words and she’s ended my confusion.
Her values will break you apart and make you whole again.
Come home, and be your Self. No one else will do it for you.

Prana: The Hidden Connection Between Body, Mind, and Experience
Millions of salutations to Adi Tantra Yogi Shiva on the occasion of his sacred Shivratri festival, may he continue to bless us all. One simple yet profound realization changed how I see prana. When we feel pain in the foot, why do we experience it in the foot itself and not in the brain, where it is actually processed? Nerves only send signals to the brain. If the brain were the sole center of…

Mount Kailash 🔱 Talon Abraxas Hindus strongly believe that the Adi Yogi Shiv Bhagwan resides at Kailash Parvat with his eternal spirit partner Shakti or his adored wife, Parvati ji. Most devotees who have had such experiences would affirm that God exists in the shape of Kailash and would feel that they were an audience to God on Mount Kailash. "Om Namah Shivaya" In Siddha Shaivism and Shaiva Siddhanta Shaivism traditions, Namah Shivaya is considered as Pancha Bodha Tatva of Lord Shiva and his universal oneness of five elements. Na – Earth Mah – Water Shi – Fire Va – Air Ya – Sky or ether

"To meditate on Shiva is to surrender to the cosmic dance, where creation and destruction are but two sides of the same coin." - Adi Shankaracharya.
"The roar of the universe, the whisper of the wind, the beat of my heart – all echo the sacred chant of 'Om Namah Shivaya'." - Mystic Poet Kabir.
Shiva is often depicted as a yogi meditating in the Himalayas, surrounded by serpents and other symbols of power. His third eye is believed to represent his ability to see beyond the physical realm and into the spiritual and cosmic dimensions of existence.

A spiritual school founded by Guru Gorakshanath; Nath Sampradaya is the most ancient yoga tradition school, originated from tantra during the times of Maha Yoga of Gorakshanath; Pashupat, Shaiva-siddhanta, Kapalika, Kalamukhi and from earlier systems, yoga sampradaya, the order of kanphata yogis. Nath means Lord or Master and Sampradaya means Tradition. Nath Sampradaya is connected to the Siddha tradition. There are 12 traditional sub-sects of the Nath Sampradaya; (1) Characteristics (2) Quest for the innermost divine self (3) Idol worship (4) Kundalini yoga (5) Hatha yoga (6) Vairagya towards worldly affairs (7) Advaita Vedanta philosophy ( Strong Guru - Shishya parampara (9) Shiva is the Adi Guru (10) Based on scriptures (11) Sadhana and (12) Tapas. The Nath Sampradaya can be divided into two schools: (1) Nandinath Sampradaya is famous for Maharshi Nandinath and is also called Kailasa Parampara. Nandinath Sampradaya is present in South India and Sri Lanka. Reference to Nandinath can be found in the Tamil text Tirumantiram. Maharshi Nandinath is believed to have lived around 200 BCE. His disciples were Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, Sanat Kumara, Shivayogamuni, Patanjali, Vyaghrapada, and Tirumular. Several branches of the Nandinatha Sampradaya exist today; Two of them are the one headed by Bodhinatha Veylanswami and the one headed by Nirmalanandanatha Swami. (2) Adinath Sampradaya; Mahayogi Gorakhnath belonged to Adinath Sampradaya. Adinath Sampradaya is present in North India and Nepal. Two prominent names of the Adinath Sampradaya are Guru Matsyendranath and Guru Gorakhnath. The most prominent Gurus in this Sampradaya are nine in number called Nav Naths. There are different lists of Nav Naths. One of the most accepted lists is: Machindranath, Gorakhnath, Jalindranath, Kanifnath, Gahininath, Bhartrinath, Revananath, Charpatinath, and Nagnath. These systems originated from vedic sources such as four vedic samhitas, brahmanas, aranyakas, upanishads. Adinath, Matsyendranath and Gorakshanath are the three most worshiped Gurus (spiritual teachers) in Nath Sampradaya which is also known as Yoga-avadhuta-marga, Siddha-nath-sampradaya, Adinath-sampradaya, Yoga-marga, Siddha-siddhanta and so on. From these three, Gorakshanath is worshiped by all yogis as the realized complete Maha-yogishvara, free from all attachments, limitations, ignorance, ego, feelings of addiction or disgust as he is incarnated into the human body. In the sacred literature of Sampradaya, mahayogi Matsyendranath is mentioned as the direct disciple of Shiva Adinath and his main disciple Gorakshanath as the true incarnation of Shiva. It is known that Nath Sampradaya was formed by Matsyendranath as a yoga-tantric teaching Kula. Later this tradition was improved by Maha Yogi Shiva Gorakshanath who gathered the spiritual experience of all yogis in one fine system of yoga. With time, the tradition was divided in many branches, called panths, twelve of which were considered the main components of Nath Sampradaya: Satyanath-panth (also known as Brahma-panth); Dharma-panth (connected with the name of Dharmaraja Udhishhira); Ram-panth (connected with the name of Vaykunthnath); Nateshvari-panth (also known as Daryanathi); Kanthar-panth (connected with the name of Kantharnath); Kapalani-panth (connected with the name of Kapil Muni or Kapilanath); Vayragya-panth (also known as Bhartrihari-panth, the founder is Bhartriharinath); Mannath-panth (also known as Gopichand-panth); Ayi-panth (also known as Ayake); Pagal-panth (connected with the name of Chouranginath and Puran Bhagat); Dhvaja-panth (connected with the name Hanuman); Ganganath-panth (connected with the name of Bishma, the son of Mother Ganga). Each panth has its own main centers in different areas of the country, but all of them are worshiped by others as the shrine. They practically follow the same path of yoga: they all worship Shiva, and they are all united by Gorakshanath as Maha-yogishvara.
Each of the founders of the following panths received directions about practice of yoga from Gorakshanath. Gorakhpur is known as the center of Dharmanath-panth as well as Ram-panth, which is considered to be the place of tapasya of Gorakshanath. Ganga-Sagar is the most sacred center of Kapil-panth with Goraksha-Banshi being its main center. Haridvar is also a very important center of the Sampradaya. This is where Yogi Gorakhnath Ji performed sadhana. The present head of the Mutt is Yogi Adityanath Ji. Whenever Yogis or Nath-Yogis meet, they greet each other with the salutation “Adesh-Adesh!” Gorakshanath the Maha Yogi wrote: Aatmetu paramaatmeti jiivatmeti vicaarane Trayaanaam aikya-samshutir asdes’s iti kiirtitah In our relative thought we distinguish between Atman, Paramatman, and Jiva. The Truth is that these three are one and a realization of it is called Adesha. Thus the yogi in his contact with others expressed only the simple truth in the words, “Adesh-Adesh!” It is a foundation stone on which all spiritual light and attainment must be erected. It is the first truth to attain the First Lord .
