TY @nerdsbianhokie for making this amazing print 😍 I've been meaning to find some way to display more of my pins and stickers and pride things, and I love the way they work around it!
#i have carefully taped everything so the adhesive doesnt touch any of the nice paper#and made my own big corner stickers to mount the print without adhesive directly on it#and taped the pride ribbon around the edge of the board#it's not super crafty in the grand scheme of of things but it's more crafty than i usually get and I'm excited#will need to check back on what other prints are in the shop#throughalleternity

Canon scents! Wickerbottom smells like mothballs. Woodie smells like pine and woodchips. Wolfgang smells like rotting pine needles because someone keeps putting air unfresheners in his laundry. Wurt smells of old fish.
.
#dst#dstconfessions#Stinkcourse#Poor Wolfgang…#Winona smelling like engine grease with hints of metal and tape adhesive will always be real to me.

#like i cant handle binding in the heat so im just wondering if tape is a better option#or if its like a gross sticky adhesive feeling bc i have sensory issue and stuff#thanks ❤️#trans#transgender#chest binding#transmasc

me a while ago: I'll buy this super hardcore tape so it'll never fall off
me a minute ago: *taped two things together wrong and broke one trying to remove the tape* ah
#i soaked it with a pipette full of 91% isopropyl alcohol but it wasnt enough...#tho i bet the alcohol wasnt able to work its way in there#tape is 3M VHB 4910 btw#it rules but clean your surfaces with alcohol to make it bond well#also apply it with fine point tweezers to avoid getting skin oils on the adhesive and aid precision

Israeli army battalions and companies often compete in designing the most outrageously racist shirt that they can show off in front of the rest. The Israeli daily Haaretz published some examples and photographs of these T-shirts. One T-shirt for infantry snipers “bears the inscription ‘Better use Durex,’ next to a picture of a dead Palestinian baby, with his weeping mother and a teddy bear beside him.” Another sharpshooters’ shirt from the Givati Brigade’s Shaked battalion “shows a pregnant Palestinian woman with a bull’s-eye superimposed on her belly, with the slogan, in English, ‘1 shot, 2 kills.’” Several prints depicted ruined, destroyed, or blown-up mosques, revealing a deeply entrenched Islamophobic tendency that is appallingly reminiscent of 1930s anti-Semitic cartoons in Europe. Another design shows a soldier raping a Palestinian girl, and underneath it says, “No virgins, no terror attacks.” Israeli sociologist Orna Sasson-Levy said that this phenomenon is “part of a radicalization process the entire country is undergoing, and the soldiers are at its forefront.” She added: “There is a perception that the Palestinian is not a person, a human being entitled to basic rights, and therefore anything may be done to him.” Was Israel simply “morally corrupted” by the occupation? It’s not uncommon for Israeli analysts from the Zionist “left” to try to explain the dominant racism and genocidal trends among Israelis as relatively new phenomena, departures from the good old days of liberalism and enlightenment, or signs of moral collapse. All such explanations have one thing in common: they betray the same symptoms of selective amnesia displayed by those on the right. They ignore the fact that Israel’s very establishment was a result of massive ethnic cleansing, massacres, rape, wanton destruction of hundreds of villages, and total denial of the most basic rights to the indigenous Palestinians who were dispossessed and exiled and those who remained despite all the attempts to annihilate their existence as a people with a distinct identity. During the Nakba, the massive campaign of ethnic cleansing by Zionist militias and later the Israeli army against the indigenous Palestinians, as Israeli historian Ilan Pappé, among others, has shown, was premeditated, meticulously planned years in advance by Zionist leaders, including David Ben-Gurion, and executed systematically, brutally, and without compunction. As a result, over 800,000 Palestinians were dispossessed and uprooted and more than five hundred Palestinian villages were methodically destroyed to prevent the return of the refugees.

Hi I’m a trans masc person and I really want a flat chest but I don’t want to wear a binder because of the recent things being said about them. I saw someone making a post about trans tape and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the best brand is for trans tape. Thanks so much
You can also use sports tape like KT Tape. The nice thing about some of these sports tape is that it is body-safe and less expensive than some binding brands. Don't use duct tape for binding - it's very abrasive on the skin, and it's not breathable. Honestly, I've heard the most things said about KT Tape and some people talking about trans tape, I think those can be safe options to start with. However, make sure to do research into whatever brand you're looking into. Make sure the adhesive and material the tape is made out of is safe for your body. Have a mental list of materials you know is safe for your body - or materials you think will be safe for your body.
#ask#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#nonbinary#trans advice#i will say that trans tape is just like binders - it depends on the brand and not everything is made equally#i definitely would stay away from brands that have no information about the adhesive or materials used in their tape for example#especially if you are allergic to certain materials or you're sensitive to them or if you have sensory issues

hm. always fun to learn that there isn’t a single binder that won’t give me some kind of pain anymore. this is the right size And the light version and it still instantly hit my back pain + my breathing is like. less constricted than it can be but still constricted. i so genuinely need top surgery or i’m going to die
#^ guy for whom not binding & even binding safely are not options ://///#like i take it off whenever i can and this summer has been a good break for my ribs i would imagine#but. i can’t Not bind for my own safety. i need top surgery so fucking bad man#they should fr invent an adhesive that i’m not allergic to and also has the strength of trans tape. so far 0/2#ted talks

I'm quite grimly fascinated by the YouTube pen pal creator sphere. Like… first of all, these people are just putting their full name and address on screen, huh?
Also, Idk, it just feels kind of disingenuous that they're always all "It isn't about the decoration or the extras! A simple heartfelt letter is what's important!" when they've built their entire online brand around elaborately decorated letters—that they, again, show in full on screen to millions of people who are not the recipient—with a bunch of stickers and tea bags and bits of confetti and washi tape samples added as gifts on top of what's used for decoration. Like, I don't know, if you have to disclaim a million times that having a pen pal is Not A Stationery Swap and that people shouldn't expect to be given these things, maybe you could reflect for a moment on what may have created this impression?
Like, personally, I never for a second believed that I needed more than "just an ordinary sheet of paper and any pen at all uwu" to send a letter, so it's sort of baffling to be gently reassured by people spending hours of work designing a visual aesthetic for their letters that, of course, I don't have to do it like that. Like, yeah, no shit, Sherlock.
I mean, I'm all for people having fun with stickers and washi tape and markers and whatever, but I feel like they've created this very false barrier to entry that I'm not about. It's bullet journals all over again.
#speaking of the full name thing I was very 😱 when I found out about an event that runs in february#where people write a letter every day#and there is a sign up post where people are encouraged to just *comment with their name and address*#like??? hello???#this is *basic* web safety#I'm not saying you kind find pen pals online but like this seems very fucking cavalier to me#also while I'm complaining: I don't think they should be decorating the exterior of the envelope this much either#the post office website where I live says not to even use coloured envelopes because it can affect legibility#for the ocr software the sorting machines use#and like I guess it's the grandchild of a postman in me but I feel you just have to try to make things easy for the postal service#know what your postage is#include the return address#write the address and return address in clearly printed letters in a black or blue pen#possibly even block capitals#if there is a customs declaration form you need to fill out know what you need to put on it#and y'know… know that you have to do it in the first place#so like this scrap paper collaging plus handlettering plus stickers and washi tape on the exerior of envelopes palaver#is all a bit wild for me#I worried when I use a bit of washi tape to secure the flap because the adhesive was a bit past its best and it didn't want to stay closed
