Has India turned into a Rouge nation? Financial community is not worried about revelations about Adani group, SEBI is making desperate efforts to save Adani. Are we putting the government and the ruling party above the nation, motherland? Not a single investigation agency has enough guts to check truth about allegations? More than the government and the ruling party, it a scathing attack on we the people, the citizens, the nation and its credibility as a whole.

Adani Group ‘bribe’ row sparks political slugfest in Odisha
A bribery allegation against Adani Group regarding a solar energy supply contract triggered a political debate in Odisha, on Friday. The Adani Group has been accused of engaging in corrupt practices across five states, including Odisha. This prompted the Congress party to demand a CBI probe. Congress leader Santosh Singh Saluja stated that the BJD government was in power in 2021 when the alleged…

Hindenburg news: Congress demands Centre to ‘eliminate all conflicts…’; TMC asks ‘will CBI, ED file cases?’ - Notice Global Online https://www.merchant-business.com/hindenburg-news-congress-demands-centre-to-eliminate-all-conflicts-tmc-asks-will-cbi-ed-file-cases/?feed_id=161998&_unique_id=66b83d21e1841 #GLOBAL - BLOGGER BLOGGER Hours after US short-seller Hindenburg Research levelled allegations against Sebi chairperson Madhabi Buch, the Congress on Saturday asked the Central government to immediately eliminate all conflicts of interest in the regulator’s investigation of the Adani Group.Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, in an official statement, said the Sebi’s “strange reluctance” to investigate the “Adani mega scam” has been long noted, not least by the Supreme Court’s Expert Committee.“Under public pressure, after the Adani horse had bolted, SEBI’s board reintroduced stricter reporting rules on 28 June 2023. It told the Supreme Court’s Expert Committee on 25 August 2023 that it was investigating 13 suspicious transactions. Yet the investigations never bore fruit,” the Congress leader added. He stated that Hindenburg Research’s revelations on Saturday indicate that Buch and her husband invested in the same offshore funds based in Bermuda and Mauritius, where “Vinod Adani and his close associates, Chang Chung-Ling and Nasser Ali Shahban Ahli, had also invested money obtained from the over-invoicing of power equipment.”“The government must act immediately to eliminate all conflicts of interest in the SEBI investigation of Adani. The fact is that the seeming complicity of the highest officials of the land can only be resolved by setting up a JPC (joint parliamentary committee) to investigate the full scope of the Adani mega scam,” he said.Similarly, Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra also said, “crony capitalism is at its finest”. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Moitra wrote, “In true Adani style – even SEBI Chairman is investor in his group.”“Crony Capitalism at its finest. @CBiHeadquarters&@Dir_ED – will you be filing POCA and PMLA cases or not?” she asked.Google News What does Hindenburg’s new report say?Hindenburg Research has released an exclusive new report implicating SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch in the ‘Adani money siphoning scandal.’ This report follows more than a year after Hindenburg first accused the Adani Group of insider trading and other stock market violations—allegations consistently denied by the conglomerate led by Gautam Adani. The latest report highlights an offshore Mauritius fund called IPE Plus Fund, reportedly established by Vinod Adani through India Infoline. It also references the Bermuda-based Global Dynamic Opportunities Fund, which invested in IPE Plus Fund 1. Vinod Adani, a Dubai-based businessman and the elder brother of Gautam Adani, is still connected to the Adani Group.“We had previously noted Adani’s total confidence in continuing to operate without the risk of serious regulatory intervention, suggesting that this may be explained through his relationship with the SEBI Chairperson. What we hadn’t realized: the current SEBI Chairperson and her husband, Dhaval Buch, had hidden stakes in the exact same obscure offshore Bermuda and Mauritius funds, found in the same complex nested structure, used by Vinod Adani,” the report said.Google News What did Hindenburg’s previous report say?Last January, Hindenburg Research, known for shorting companies like electric truck maker Nikola Corp and Twitter (now X), accused the Adani Group of orchestrating “the largest con in corporate history.” The report claimed that the conglomerate used a complex network of offshore companies in tax havens to inflate revenues and manipulate stock prices while accumulating significant debt.Despite the Adani Group’s strong denial of these accusations, the report caused a sharp decline in the group’s stock prices, erasing over USD 150 billion in market value across its 10 listed companies at their lowest point.
However, most of these companies have since recovered their losses.Following the Hindenburg report, the Supreme Court of India directed the market regulator SEBI to investigate and formed an expert panel to examine potential regulatory lapses. The panel did not issue any negative findings against Adani, and the Supreme Court concluded that no additional investigations were necessary beyond SEBI’s ongoing inquiry.SEBI informed the Supreme Court-appointed panel that it was investigating 13 opaque offshore entities holding between 14% and 20% in five publicly traded stocks of the conglomerate. It remains unclear if these two ongoing investigations have since been completed.(With inputs from agencies)Catch all the Budget News , Business News , Breaking News Events and Latest News Updates on Live Mint. CBI raids Mahua, why?
Mahua Moitra, who was leading the vociferous charge against Industrialist Gautam Adani in Parliament, took the burnt when BJPMP Nishikant Dubey wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla alleging thatthe former MPreceived luxury items andholidays from Dubai-based businessman Darshan Hiranandaniin exchange for raising questions in the Lok Sabha.
Mahua Moitra a corruption crusader against Adani has now become themascot of corruption herself, thanks to the revelation of her jilted lover Jai Anant Dehadrai.
CBI Enquiry Report stated that Mahua Moitra had compromised her parliamentary privileges by sharing her login credential of Lok Sabha Member Portal with Hiranandani, who by using her username and password posted questions on the Government. This was done while she was travelling abroad.
The immediate motive
Moitra is a firebrand TMC MP who on returning to parliament could bebigger danger for the ruling dispensation in the new Lok Sabha.
In the event of a surprise win for INDIA coalition she could emerge as the star parliamentarian.
Mahua has more beans to spill, to prevent her from getting into overdrive with expose.
Mahua's version on CBI raid
Mahua Moitra alleged that the CBI had "deliberately" chosen to conduct consecutive raids onwith the "sole intention" of hindering her campaign process and creating a "negative perception" about her in the run up to polls.
She urged the Election Commission to issue appropriate guidelines and create a framework vis-a-vis the conduct of investigation by central agencies during the period of the Model Code of Conduct.
She approves CBI investigations but questioned the timing and methodology which indicate political vendetta.
In the milieu, where is real estate titan Hiranandani?
Still cosying up at his Dubai home, Hiranandani has been named in the CBI chargesheet.
Knowing the proximity of the real estate tycoon with the BJP,it was unexpected that Hiranandani would be named as an accused instead of an approved.
BJP will take a que from the CBI naming Hiranandani as accused and claim its neutrality towards negotiation.
Hiranandani if arrested will give ammunition to BJP spokesperson to defend its corporate-political neutrality.

GVK Reddy Affirms: Mumbai Airport Sale Not Pressured by Adani Group
GVK Group Vice Chairman, Sanjay GV Reddy, clarified on Tuesday that there was no pressure whatsoever from the Adani Group or anyone else to sell the Mumbai airport. This statement comes in response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's accusation in the Lok Sabha that the airport was taken from GVK using agencies like the CBI and the ED and handed over to Adani by the Indian government.
The Adani Group took over management of the Mumbai airport from the GVK Group in July 2021. Speaking in an interview with NDTV on Tuesday, Sanjay Reddy emphasized, "There was absolutely no pressure from the Adani Group or anyone else for us to sell the Mumbai airport."
Reddy explained that the decision to sell the airport stemmed from the group's need to raise funds for its airport business. He recounted how Gautam Adani expressed interest in the airport and approached GVK Group about a possible transaction. "He assured us that we could finalize the entire transaction within one month, which was crucial for us," GVK Reddy said. "So, from that perspective, whatever we did was in the interest of the company and the lenders we had to repay. Therefore, we had to close the transaction with Adani because we didn't see any other viable options with other investors."

Lok Sabha Ethics Panel Received Affidavit from Hiranandani on Allegations Against Moitra
The Lok Sabha morals board on Friday said it has gotten money manager Darshan Hiranandani's oath, which asserts that TMC MP Mahua Moitra accepted kickbacks from him for posing inquiries against business mogul Gautam Adani in Parliament. Board boss Vinod Sonkar said the matter will be entirely tested as utilizing a MP's parliamentary login is a wrongdoing.
"I got a grumbling connected with Mahua Moitra. In such manner, a gathering of the morals board has been approached October 26. A notification has been shipped off BJP MP Nishikant Dubey to show up before the board of trustees on October 26 regarding his charges of pay off. A nitty gritty assessment will be finished by the council in this and an end will then, at that point, be reached… " Sonkar said.
As per news office PTI, Hiranandani confessed to utilizing Moitra's parliamentary login to pose inquiries focusing on Adani after state-possessed behemoth Indian Oil Enterprise (IOC) booked limit at the Gujarat-based aggregate's Dhamra LNG import office in Odisha and not at his company's arranged office.
In the event that somebody has utilized MP's login, it is an intense offense. We will go through every one of the confirmations on October 26 when the complainants have been approached to be available with verification," Sonkar told News18, adding that activity will rely upon proof given by the two sides.
"This has occurred without precedent for Parliament's set of experiences. This is an exceptionally special and serious case," he added.
A seat headed by Equity Sachin Datta, in the interim, heard the slander suit documented by Moitra and posted the matter for hearing on October 31.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey's legal counselor let the court know that a finance manager has circled a testimony on Thursday (October 19), expressing that he had given costly gifts to the solicitor. Moitra's legal counselor answered saying the TMC MP is a person of note "with remaining in the general public". "Sadly, she was companions with Jai Anant Dehadrai," the guidance added.
After the meeting, sources told News18 that Moitra's legal counselor, Gopal Sankaranarayanan, has removed as he had intervened among Moitra and Dehadrai.
In the midst of the activity, Moitra wished individuals "Shubho Shasti" and said she is "getting a charge out of Durga Puja" in Nadia. She further responded to Sonkar's assertions and said, "I invite addressing inquiries to CBI and Morals Panel (which has outright greater part of BJP individuals) if and when they call me. I have neither time nor interest to channel a bazaar preliminary or answer BJP savages," the TMC MP posted on X, previously Twitter.
The TMC MP had moved toward the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, looking to control Dubey, a backer and a few web-based entertainment stages and media houses from posting, flowing or distributing any supposed phony and slanderous substance against her.
Dubey has blamed Moitra for taking "pay-offs" from a finance manager to pose inquiries in Parliament and encouraged Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to frame an "request board" to investigate the charges against her. Refering to a letter he got from Dehadrai, Moitra's alienated accomplice and legal counselor, Dubey said he has shared "obvious" proof of pay-offs traded between the TMC pioneer and a money manager.

Moitra shared her parliament login and password so I could post direct questions targeted at the Adani Group, Darshan Hiranandani claims
On Thursday, the CASH-FOR-QUERY allegations involving Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra saw a completely ugly turn when Darshan Hiranandani, CEO of the Hiranandani Group claimed through an affidavit to the Ethics Committee of Lok Sabha that Mahua provided him with her parliament login and password to facilitate him “post the questions” directly “on her behalf when required”.
Mahua in her response called the letter ‘a joke’ and said, “The draft of this letter was sent by the PMO and he (Darshan) was forced to sign it.”
It is a three-page affidavit that was submitted to the committee and later released publicly by the corporate communication team of the Hiranandani Group. In this affidavit, Darshan Hiranandani, currently residing in Dubai, said Moitra “thought that the only way to attack Sh. Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is by attacking Sh. Gautam Adani and his group as both were contemporaries, and they belong to the same state of Gujarat.”
This affidavit came days after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey complained about Moitra to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla claiming that Moitra took bribes, gifts, and money to ask questions specifically targeted at Adani and in the interest of the Hiranandani Group. Dubey also wrote a letter to T Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw requesting him to investigate Moitra’s login and password for parliament and check if someone else has been using it.
Hiranandani in the affidavit had said, “Ms. Moitra drafted a few questions that would have elements to embarrass the Government by targeting the Adani group; questions that she could raise in Parliament. She shared with me her email ID as a Member of Parliament, so that I could send her information, and she could raise the questions in the Parliament. I went along with her proposal.”
She… requested me to keep supporting her in her attacks on the Adani group and provided me her Parliament login and password so that I could post the questions directly on her behalf when required,” the affidavit further read.
Moitra released a statement late last night in which, Moitra said, “They were threatened with a total shutdown of all their businesses… They were told they will be finished, the CBI would
raid them and all government businesses would stop and all PSU bank financing would be stopped immediately.”
