I have started watching The Auditors. I loved Shin Ha Kyun in Beyond Evil and I love him in this. I also recently watched The Villainess not realising he's in it and oooofff.

Now there's Ji Sung and Shin Ha Kyun in my head and if they collaborate on a drama, preferably thriller or something my head would explode.

What I really, really want is a series like the beginning of Adamas, but without it evolving into a social drama/action movie. The first episodes had all of my favorite elements:

— a mystery set in a secluded mansion with too many secrets, hidden doors, nooks meant for eavesdropping, surveillance on everyone, and unhealthy relationships;

— an outsider who comes to stir the wasp’s nest with unclear intent—someone smart enough to read people and manipulate them;

— an atmosphere of suspense: veiled threats, murderous women, and vague homoerotic tension :)

watched Adamas today

the ending was so... unsatisfying?? like the writers just wanted to somehow end it??? i mean i was sort of bawling over suhyeon's death then they just lazily brought him back

i wasted my emotions

and it felt like it had such a grand setup just for it to be unresolved

and i'm just supposed to accept the absurdity that the cold, calculating, ambitious, cruel chairman didn't see it coming that he would be shot. and ace sun, man, she was completely unnecessary if they wanted to NOT reveal anything about her properly.

the plotline went from 'ADAMAS IS MYSTERIOUS! IT'S A MURDEROUS TREASURE IN A COOL ASS GOTH MANSION WITH EQUALLY MYSTERIOUS PEOPLE!' to 'there's team A there's SIH there's politics and we put them in a blender to make a random plot'

the brothers though, loved their characters. how they were almost polar opposites but still connected, how they watched over each other in their own ways, how they portrayed the guilt and rage that linger from childhood.

and dongrim!! absolute loverboy. wanted to see him as more than just an extra but yeah, brownie points for just existing

BUT THE CINEMATOGRAPHY

IT WAS AWESOME

the cuts, the lighting, the visual eye candy.

i would absolutely rewatch random episodes just for the cinematography to be honest, it really clicked with me.

and i liked the antics in the mansion. the people's interactions are just so funny to me especially the screaming woman in the beginning

she just screamed at anything lmao i loved watching her

anyway this is the most relaxing thriller i watched soooo 7/10?

Question for The Devil Judge Fandom:

We’re going to start watching the show with our mom tomorrow 😭 finally having ma watch Kdramas has been the best thing to come out of this year! And we know Ji sung never misses so we’re not concerned. But…is there anything we should know before we watch?

Our mother is like any other mom…and kind of a prude😭😊 there’s no hanky panky right?😭

Also, any general, potential triggers we should be aware of would be great (Ji sung is an ace but some of his dramas can be dark).

We would have looked it up but we didn’t want another Adamas situation (we googled the show before watching and found out the twins’ bio dad was the dude in jail. It was mentioned so casually we didn’t think much of it. And so we watched the show and it was so good and intriguing but we were on the edge of our seats because there was clearly this secret and then the big reveal comes up and it turns out the secret was the bio dad😭 like… “oh, we knew that…that’s it?” The show was great but it would have been a better viewing experience for us if we didn’t know that). Any help would be great. Thank you! 🙏🏽
