Once again thinking about how advertising shifted from a small group of selected individuals who would rate, approve, and distribute a limited number advertisements on TV, radio and in print and how the modern "anyone can make an advertisement for anything and put it anywhere" completely destroyed the market.
In theory advertisements aren't bad. I mean there are still a great number of people who loudly and proudly declare they only watch the Super Bowl because marketing agencies spend big bucks on funny, interesting advertisements. There were scenarios where advertisements were acceptable and even enjoyable!
But not anymore. Since a person can register for Google Adsense and slap as many ads on a thing as they want to, the more desperate and sleazy among us decided to fill entire pages with ads. The value of a single advertisement bottomed out, as instead of guaranteeing a viewer's undivided attention, websites started being lit up like the Las Vegas strip. Memorable ads suddenly matter less than whatever's the most simple and flashy.
The side effect, the thing that I'm actually thinking about today, is how little advertising matters to me now. The only ads that ever actually command a single iota of my attention are the most annoying things: websites with "sign up for our mailing list!" pop-ups, or when I go dumpster diving on my Roku and find a streaming app that plays ads every 90 seconds, or when a news website is covered in "SUBSCRIBE TO OUR PREMIUM SERVICE" banners in every corner (or limits how much you can read before paying).
The only ads I remember are the ones that feel like a punishment.
To the point where, on a website that actually tries to show an acceptable number of advertisements, my brain has been automatically trained to ignore them. I don't even see them. I was using the tumblr app five minutes ago on my phone and I can't tell you what the ads were. I salted the earth for those neurons in my brain. That kind of mental spite is a reflex for me now. The rest of the internet has made me so resistant to all forms of the most annoying, forceful, attention-grabbing advertising that it will probably never work on me ever again for as long as I live.
But I can still recite the Toys'R'Us song by heart. It's been more than twenty years since its debut and people still remember the McDonalds "I'm Lovin' It" jingle.
...Actually, I'm so inoculated to modern advertising I had to double check whether or not McDonalds even still uses "I'm Lovin' It" because I cannot remember having seen a McDonalds advertisement in a very long time.
I suppose my ultimate point in all of this is never feel obligated to watch ads. Never feel guilty for using an adblocker. When that website says "We noticed you're blocking our ads, please turn it off" there is no law that says you have to (if they try to force you, a quick google search will probably solve that).
Always remember you are the victim of their circumstance, not the other way around.

What’s up, my friends? It’s your boy Karl, and today we’re talking about something that can help you make some serious cash online. That’s right, we’re talking about Google Adsense! And specifically, we’re talking about a Fiverr gig that I found that can help you create a profitable Adsense-approved website for less than $5.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. How is it possible to get a high-quality website with Adsense approval for such a low price? Well, let me tell you, my friends, it is possible, and it’s all thanks to this amazing Fiverr gig.
First of all, let’s talk about what this gig offers. The seller promises to create a profitable website on any niche with a guaranteed Adsense approval. But what sets them apart from other sellers is that they don’t just create your website, write a few articles, and call it a day. They take care of all the mandatory things required for Adsense approval before delivering your order.
That means they’ll fix issues such as low value, privacy policy, site unavailability, rewritten or unoriginal content, site navigation behavior, third-party APIs content, minimum content requirements, affiliate content with little added value, and thin content that doesn't meet Webmaster quality guidelines. They ensure that your site has unique, high-quality content and a good structure that will help you get approved for Adsense.
But what does Adsense approval mean for you? It means you can start earning money by placing ads on your website. Every time someone clicks on an ad, you get a commission. And the best part is that you don’t have to do anything except create the website and place the ads. Google takes care of the rest.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Creating a website can be complicated, and getting Adsense approval can be even more challenging. But that’s where this Fiverr gig comes in. For less than $5, you can have a professional website that’s ready to make you money.
And the best part? You don’t have to worry about the quality of the work or whether you’ll actually get Adsense approval. The seller has a proven track record of success, with plenty of positive reviews from satisfied customers.
So what are you waiting for? If you want to start making money with Google Adsense, then this Fiverr gig is the way to go. Place your order today, and within a few days, you’ll be on your way to earning some serious cash online. And who knows, maybe one day you’ll be able to quit your day job and live off your website earnings. The possibilities are endless, my friends.

Follow me on my road to success part 2
For this part I have done some research and came up with a couple ways to start generating money with the blog.
Since I have some posts on the blog already I can add Google Adsense to my page. This gives me a way to generate Money from incoming traffic that views my advertisements. This is the most common way but this takes a lot of time since you will not be allowed to start right away. Your website needs to have a certain amount of content and it needs to be unique and not generated as far as I can tell.
I have send my website in for approval, and when you start seeing advertisements on this website you can see that it works, but I will post an update once it approves.
The Progress so far.
Configure a webserver on an old computer
Install wordpress
Start blogging on https://prosperitytactics.com and on https://www.tumblr.com/blog/every-penny
Write articles and keeping score.
For now I am at a 10 hour time investment and have invested my 10 dollar into the domain name.
I really hope that this works out. Keep you updated.

Adsense approved
I am relatively surprising turn of events, considering the last time the site was denied, it is now approved for google adsense. No idea yet how much that would mean monthly in terms of keeping the site up, especially since I am only showing minimal amount of ads possible (and you can turn it off in your profile settings altogether!). The only places ads should show are on the right side of the page if you are in big view mode (aka: desktop) and on the skin preview result page just under the banner and any alert messages.
Since this is adsense, all ads you see are related to stuff that you browse on the internet. Unless you are one of the people who try to hide their presence from trackers, in which case you will get a whole lot of random stuff served. I disabled many of the categories that have absolutely no business on the site, such as anything 18+ related. Or car insurance stuff.
But regardless this will help offset the monthly donation requirement enough to not have to beg for help every month, well that is the hope at least.

How to Earn from Google AdSense?
There are nearly 20-30 billion webpages on Google and from them 200 million are active websites. Many people don’t just do it for time pass but to do something different and to earn. If someone wants to earn from their websites there are many ways such as: -
Google AdSense.
Monetize your website through affiliate (sell related products) marketing on your website.
Use your website as your own portfolio (to get work).
These are some ways to earn from your websites.
But we will talk about Google AdSense today.
What is Google AdSense?
Google AdSense is a program that allows website owners to place ads on their site and earn money when visitors click on the ads. The program is free to join, and anyone with a website can sign up. Once you're approved, you can choose how you want your ads to look and where you want them to appear on your site. When someone clicks on one of your ads, you'll earn money from Google.
How does Google AdSense works?
Ads are displayed based on the content of the website they are being shown on. This means that if a website is about gardening, the ads displayed will be related to gardening. Google AdSense uses a complex algorithm to match ads to websites, and this ensures that the ads are relevant to the viewers. Website owners earn money every time someone clicks on one of their ads. The amount of money earned depends on how much the advertiser pays per click. Generally, advertisers pay more for clicks from countries with a higher cost of living, as they are more likely to result in a sale or lead. Google AdSense is a great way for website owners to make money without having to sell advertising space directly. It is also a good way for advertisers to reach relevant audiences at a low cost.
Criteria to sign up in AdSense: -
1. You need to be more than 18-year-old.
2. Your website must have original and high-quality content.
3. You shouldn’t have any illegal activity on your websites.
4. Your website should free from any malware, phishing and should be user-friendly.
5. You should have the access of HTML codes of website.
6. Your website should be free from any offensive, hateful content.
How much time does it take to get approved from AdSense: -
Steps: -
First you have to send an application request. Then you will receive a verification code which you will have to paste in your website’s section. This helps Google to verify that you are the owner of the website.
Usually, it takes only 24 to 48 hours to get approved from AdSense but if your website doesn’t follow the criteria, it may take time or request can be disapproved.
After you are verified and approved you will receive the code of the ad that you have to paste on your section of website.
Google already analyzed your website and its traffic.
Therefore, it will show the ads accordingly to your content.
How much can we earn from AdSense?
It depends on a few factors, such as the traffic your site receives, the location of your visitors, and the types of ads that are displayed. Generally speaking, however, you can expect to earn around $0.10-$0.20 per 1000 page views from AdSense. You can earn up to $0.30 to $5 per 1000 clicks on the ads shown on your site. This can change according to your niche and traffic on your website. So, if your website gets 1000 page views per day, you could potentially earn $50-$60 per month from AdSense. Of course, this is just an estimate - some bloggers earn much more than this, while others earn less.
The amount you can earn per click depends on the country where the visitor is coming from, the type of ad, and other factors. This means that if you have 100 visitors to your site who click on ads, you could earn $50. This is just an estimation; it depends upon various different factors.
How the payment policy of Google AdSense works: -
Google AdSense payment works like this: -
1. Google is approached by an advertiser to show add on different websites signed in with Google AdSense.
2. Advertiser pays a fixed amount to Google AdSense when someone clicks on their ads shown on different websites.
3. From this amount received to Google by the advertiser, some percentage is given to the website, on which the ads are shown.
Google AdSense pays you on the basis of clicks on your website. It gives you a share from the percentage of revenue generated from the clicks. You can get up to 51% to 68% of the revenue per click on ad.
But AdSense puts a condition on the website. The website owner on which the ads are shown starts earning when its revenue is more than $100. If you’re earning less than $100 in the current month then Google AdSense will send you the amount in the month when you have earned more than $100.
Different types of ads shown on AdSense: -
1. Fixed-sized ads: -
Fixed-sized ad units are ads that are a specific size, such as 300x250 pixels or 728x90 pixels. These ad units will always display at the same size, regardless of the device or screen size that they are being viewed on. This can be beneficial if you have specific spaces on your website that you want to fill with ads of a certain size.
However, it is important to note that using fixed-sized ad units can be less effective on mobile devices, as they may not fit properly on smaller screens. In these cases, responsive ad units may be a better choice. Responsive ad units automatically adjust their size to fit the available space on the device they are being viewed on, making them more user-friendly on mobile devices.
2. Sticky ads: -
Sticky ads can be useful for website owners because they allow the ad to remain visible to users even as they scroll down the page, increasing the chances that the user will see and interact with the ad. However, sticky ads can also be annoying for users because they may obstruct the content of the webpage or make it difficult to navigate.
There are a few different ways that sticky ads can be implemented on a webpage. One way is to use a JavaScript library or plugin that adds the sticky ad functionality to the site. Another way is to use CSS and HTML to create a fixed position element on the page that contains the ad.
Google AdSense has guidelines for the use of sticky ads, which include recommendations on the size and placement of the ad, as well as the frequency with which it should be displayed to users. Website owners who are interested in using sticky ads should carefully review these guidelines to ensure that they are in compliance with AdSense policies.
3. In-feed Ads: -
In-feed ads are a type of ad that is displayed within the content feed of a website or app. These ads are typically integrated into the content in a way that makes them appear to be a natural part of the feed, rather than a separate element. In-feed ads can be used on a variety of types of websites and apps, including social media platforms, news sites, and e-commerce sites. To create an in-feed ad through AdSense, website owners can use the AdSense ad code to insert the ad into the appropriate location in their content feed. The ad code can be customized to specify the size and appearance of the ad, as well as the type of ad that should be displayed (e.g., text, image, or video).
It's important to note that Google has guidelines for the use of in-feed ads, which include recommendations on the placement and frequency of the ads, as well as the types of content that they can be displayed with.
Founder of Google AdSense: -
Paul Buchheit, who were the founder of Gmail, got an idea of running ads on Gmail. This was the foundation idea for Google to create Google AdSense. This idea was further nurtured and shaped by Google employees. Susan Wojcicki who is the current CEO of YouTube, she was helped by Sergey Brin to adapt this reformative idea into existence with the creation of Google AdSense.
The person behind Google AdSense, Susan Wojcicki: -
She was born in Santa Clara County. California on July 5, 1968. Her mother was Esther Wojcicki, an American Journalist and her father, Stanley Wojcicki was a Polish Physics professor in Stanford University.
Susan Diane Wojcicki is the current CEO of YouTube, and she has been an important member of Google from its early stages, when it was set up in a garage by its founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Her parents, Esther and Stanley Wojcicki, were the owners of the house in whose garage Google was set up. Her family saw the potential in Google. In 1999, Susan Wojcicki became the first marketing manager of Google and later the chief of Google’s advertisement business and currently, the CEO of its worldwide famous video platform YouTube.
Before becoming the marketing manager of Google in 1999, she worked in Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California in the marketing department. She also had been a marketing advisor at Bain & Company and R.B Webber & Company.
In Google, she was member of initial viral marketing programs and ha a crucial role in designing Google’s world-famous logo with designer Ruth Kedar. She was co-developed and launched Google Image Search feature with the help of engineer Huican Zhu. She also led the project when Google Doodles was launched.

When Do You Start to Get Paid on YouTube? A Guide for Aspiring Creators
YouTube is one of the most powerful platforms for creators to share their content, connect with audiences, and build a sustainable income. Over the years, it has transformed countless individuals into household names and provided a steady income stream for millions of users. But a question that looms large in the minds of many newcomers is this: when do you start to get paid on YouTube?
Understanding the monetization process is critical for anyone looking to turn their passion into a profession. This guide provides a comprehensive breakdown of the steps involved, the eligibility criteria, and how to maximize your earnings.
The Path to Monetization: YouTube Partner Program (YPP)
To start earning on YouTube, creators must join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). This program opens the door to multiple revenue streams, including ads, memberships, and super chats. However, it’s not as simple as uploading videos and cashing in.
Eligibility for YPP hinges on meeting certain milestones. Creators must accumulate at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 valid public watch hours within the past 12 months. These benchmarks ensure that only serious and consistent creators gain access to monetization tools. Achieving these goals requires dedication, consistent content creation, and an understanding of what your target audience enjoys.
Once you meet these requirements, you’ll need to set up an AdSense account and agree to the platform’s monetization policies. Only after your channel has been reviewed and approved will you start seeing income flow.
How Ads Translate to Revenue
The majority of earnings on YouTube come from ads displayed on your videos. YouTube uses a system called CPM (Cost Per Mille), which means the amount you earn per thousand ad views. The CPM varies depending on factors like your niche, audience demographics, and the time of year.
For instance, creators in lucrative niches like technology, finance, or education may earn higher CPM rates because advertisers are willing to pay more for these audiences. Similarly, a global audience may yield different rates compared to a localized one. It’s worth noting that YouTube takes a 45% cut of ad revenue, leaving creators with 55%.
This is why understanding how to manage a music group or any niche-specific expertise can help you carve a space for yourself and attract advertisers in relevant fields.
Diversifying Income Streams
Relying solely on ads may not be the most effective strategy for long-term success. Thankfully, YouTube offers additional monetization methods:
Channel Memberships: Fans can subscribe to your channel for a monthly fee in exchange for exclusive perks.
Merchandise Shelf: Creators can sell branded merchandise directly on their channel.
Super Chats and Stickers: During live streams, fans can purchase Super Chats or Stickers to support creators while gaining visibility in the chat.
Sponsorships and Partnerships: Collaborating with brands can be an excellent way to earn income while providing value to your audience.
Many creators also use external platforms to generate revenue. For instance, musicians can improve the quality of their productions by using BandLab online mastering, which helps them produce professional-grade tracks that can be monetized or sold.
Challenges and Tips for Success
Starting your journey on YouTube can be both exciting and daunting. One of the biggest challenges is finding your niche and building an audience. It may take months or even years to meet YPP’s requirements, but the key is consistency and adaptability.
Creating high-quality, engaging content that resonates with your target audience is essential. Pay attention to analytics to understand what works and what doesn’t. Collaborate with other creators to reach wider audiences, and stay updated on the latest trends.
Also, consider how your personality and content align with fan engagement. Similar to what are Bruno Mars fans called ("Hooligans"), building a loyal community that resonates with your identity can amplify your channel’s growth.
The Future of YouTube Earnings
As YouTube evolves, new earning opportunities are constantly emerging. For instance, short-form videos like YouTube Shorts are opening doors for creators to gain visibility and income. While the platform remains competitive, those who understand and adapt to its changing dynamics will continue to thrive.
With YouTube providing tools and features that cater to diverse content types, creators in every niche have a chance to shine. Whether you’re a musician learning how Spotify works on a plane or an entertainer looking to diversify your content, YouTube remains a land of opportunity.

Fortunately, there are several Google AdSense alternatives that can offer similar or even better opportunities for monetization. One such platform is AdClickGo, which provides an excellent alternative for website owners looking to diversify their income streams. In this blog, we’ll explore why AdClickGo stands out as one of the best alternatives to Google AdSense.
Tumblr media
Why Choose AdClickGo as an Alternative?
AdClickGo is an emerging and attractive Google AdSense alternative. What makes AdClickGo stand out is its focus on simplicity and accessibility. Unlike AdSense, which requires a lengthy approval process and stringent guidelines, AdClickGo allows website owners to sign up easily and start displaying ads within minutes. The platform is open to a wide variety of content types, meaning website owners of all niches, from blogs to e-commerce sites, can benefit from the ad placements offered by AdClickGo.
One of the main reasons to consider AdClickGo is its higher revenue potential compared to Google AdSense. AdClickGo utilizes a variety of ad formats, including display ads, text ads, and pop-ups, which tend to yield higher payouts. This diverse range of ad options allows website owners to customize the ad experience for their audience while maximizing ad earnings. The platform also uses advanced targeting technology to serve more relevant ads to visitors, increasing the chances of click-throughs and conversions.
Better Control and Flexibility
AdClickGo, an easier Google AdSense alternative, offers better control and flexibility. AdClickGo allows publishers to manage the frequency and placement of ads more freely, which can improve user experience while maximizing revenue. In contrast, Google AdSense has more restrictions regarding ad placement, and publishers often have to comply with its rules, which may limit their ability to optimize ad revenue. With AdClickGo, you can experiment with various ad formats and placements to find what works best for your audience.
AdClickGo also offers a transparent reporting system, which helps publishers track their performance in real time. The detailed analytics allow you to monitor ad impressions, click-through rates, and earnings, providing valuable insights into how well your monetization strategy is performing. This level of transparency can help website owners make data-driven decisions and optimize their ad strategy for higher profits.
Conclusion While Google AdSense remains a popular choice for many website owners, there are valid reasons to explore alternatives that may offer better opportunities, higher revenue, and fewer restrictions. AdClickGo is one of the top Google AdSense alternatives, providing a user-friendly platform with higher-paying ad formats, better control over ad placement, and more personalized customer support. Whether you’re just starting your website or looking to diversify your revenue streams, AdClickGo offers a promising solution that can help you maximize your ad earnings and enhance your website’s monetization strategy.

The plugin is easy to install and set up and is laden with a variety of features, which include but are not limited to – ad rotations, setting of expiry dates, scheduling the ads and even choosing where you want the ads to be displayed on the website. For instance, you can settle for ads to be displayed not only on specific pages, but also on different posts and tags. You can also select specific visitors for your ads. The plugin integrates with Google Adsense as well. But then, you need to have at least PHP version 5.3 to ensure that the plugin works in the best way possible. AdRotate One of the clever techniques used in internet marketing for monetization on websites is to know when certain ads will perform better. Armed with this knowledge and AdRotate, you can easily schedule ads to appear on your website at a specific time. Rest of the time, you can show other ads, which are not as important. Another interesting detail to watch out for in this plugin is that it allows you to determine how ads can rotate. For instance, you can make ads change every time the visitors refresh the page or make it a point to rotate the ads at fixed intervals like in five seconds or so. Because the appearance of ads also contributes to the visual design of a web page, you can use the plugin to create an ad block. This will display the ads on the page in a grid format, adding to the design aesthetics. Also, you can get to see a preview of the ad while uploading and so, can make alterations if needed before making it live. You can also opt for the pro version of the plugin, which lets you have even more control over your ads. This includes targeting advertisements based on users’ location and give advertisers the access to their own dashboards to manage their ads on your website or see the statistics for their ads. With so many features on board, this is definitely a plugin you need to try out! OIO Publisher What if I tell you about a plugin, which allows advertisers to purchase ads directly from the front end of your website? Sounds interesting isn’t it? After all, this will automate the whole process and allow you keep 100% of the profits without any intervention from your side (unless of course, approving or declining ads before they go live). For this, all you have to do is set the prices and select the preferred payment method viz 2Checkout, Authorize.net, Google Checkout, Paypal etc. You can also use the plugin to allow advertisers to subscribe for auto-renewal of their advertisements. This serves as a great option to have a recurring income. You can also place ads manually by using a shortcode or display them as widgets on the website. Alternatively, you can use the plugin for selling custom products, banner ads, paid reviews and even text links. The benefits of this plugin don’t just end here. It also keeps a track of ad impressions, clicks and calculates the CTR or click through rate for each of the ads. Also, you can use it on endless number of websites and make more money by joining their affiliate program. Ad Plugg If you are trying to get the most out of each and every ad that you are going to publish, look no further and select Ad Plugg.
A unique plugin on the list, it includes a number of advanced features and functionalities. This includes analytics and ad tracking features. You can select the areas on the website where you want your ads to appear, schedule them and rotate them just like Ad Rotate. However, you need to create a free account on the Ad Plugg website in order to do so. Without any upgrade, you can use 100,000 impressions per month using a free account on their website. Their pro plan however, is quite affordable and flexible and worth giving a shot. WordPress Ad Widget If you are new to using WordPress and advertisements in general, you can select WordPress Ad Widget. A simple plugin, it enables you to display your ads as a widget and upload your images directly by using the widget or opt for Google AdSense or any other code. You need not have an expertise in coding or WordPress per se, as this plugin is intuitive and easy to use. The plugin is immensely popular, which is apparent from scores of active installs along with a high rating. Advertising Manager Another awesome plugin for managing advertisements on your WordPress website or blog is Advertising Manager. Every month, there is some or the other new feature, which keeps getting added to this plugin. It recognizes popular ad networks including Google AdSense and allows you to target your advertisements to various authors, tags, categories and pages. Also, the plugin also allows you to view statistics on your ad performance along with taking care of ad analytics. Some of the other prominent features of the plugin are that you can include ads in your blog posts with a single click and in the templates with just one PHP function! List of AdSense-Friendly Free WordPress Themes for 2024
Tumblr media
AdSense approval is essential for monetizing a blog or website because it allows site owners to earn revenue by displaying ads from Google's vast network of advertisers. Once approved, AdSense places relevant ads on your site, and you earn money whenever visitors interact with these ads, either by clicking on them or viewing them. In this blog, we will explore the best free WordPress themes for 2024 that are optimized for AdSense approval, helping you find the perfect fit for your site.
This, therefore is the most critical step in monetizing a blog or website-getting AdSense-approved. It allows revenue flow through ads placed in the user's website by Google's network of advertisers. Once approved, relevant ads will begin to appear and start raking in the money every time visitors click on or view them. This is an extremely popular method of monetizing content, as it gives one a passive income source, easy integration with a website, and will not require dealing with the advertisers themselves. Without AdSense, you are losing a very strong monetization tool.
Your site also needs to fulfill Google's criteria of user experience, speed, and overall design in general for AdSense approval. A free responsive and SEO-optimized theme can make your chance of approval higher. These themes are free, fast to load, responsive on mobile, and clean layouts that not only pass Google guidelines but also give your website an easy clean approach for users. Here's a collection of the best free WordPress themes for 2024.
Why Do You Need an AdSense-Friendly Theme?
Think of your website like a toy box. Some boxes have little spaces to store your toys (or in this case, ads), while others don’t. An AdSense-friendly theme gives you perfect spaces to show ads without messing up the look of your site. So, you can earn money and still have a neat website. Cool, huh?
AdSense-friendly themes are built to load quickly, which is an important factor since slow sites tend to result in a terrible user experience and may even get penalized by Google. Plus, responsive design ensures your site will look and perform fantastic on mobile devices-a very important factor in view of how much traffic comes from the mobile sector.
Additionally, these themes typically have built-in ad placement options that follow AdSense’s guidelines, ensuring your ads are displayed in a way that enhances user engagement without being intrusive.
In summary, using an AdSense-friendly theme improves your chances of quick approval and ensures your ads are placed effectively, leading to higher earnings while maintaining a great user experience.

Niche: If your blog is content-heavy, choose a magazine-style theme like ColorMag. For a minimalist site, Astra or Neve might be more suitable.
Ad Placement Flexibility: Some themes offer more built-in spaces for ads than others. Be sure to choose one that aligns with your ad placement strategy.
Customization Needs: If you want a lot of flexibility, look for a theme like OceanWP or Customify, which offer deeper customization options without the need for coding.
Ad Placement Best Practices for These Themes
Even with an AdSense-friendly theme, where you place your ads matters. Here are some best practices to ensure your ads don’t interfere with user experience:
Above the Fold Ads: Place ads in the header or at the top of your content to capture attention immediately.
In-Content Ads: Use a combination of ads within your content, but be careful not to disrupt the flow of reading.
Sidebar Ads: Sidebars are excellent for unobtrusive ads that still attract attention.
Footer Ads: Use the footer for non-intrusive ads, but avoid placing all your ads here as this placement often has lower engagement.
Conclusion
A good WordPress theme will ensure easy approval from AdSense. The given themes are not just free but also optimized for performance, SEO, and UX-all major points in Google's approval guidelines. Whether you need a minimalist design or something more heavy-duty, feature-laden, this list has you covered to get started with a site that's ready to host AdSense. Choose a theme, follow best practices for ad placement, and you’ll be well on your way to monetizing your blog or website successfully.

Earning on YouTube: How Many Views Do You Really Need?
YouTube has transformed from a simple video-sharing platform into a full-fledged career opportunity for many. With millions of creators uploading content daily, many wonder, “How many views do you need to start earning on YouTube?” While the idea of earning money from YouTube may seem simple, there are several factors involved. It’s not just about hitting a specific number of views; there are multiple layers, such as audience engagement, video content, and monetization methods that determine how much you can earn. In this article, we will break down the entire process to give you a clearer picture.
The YouTube Partner Program (YPP)
Before diving into view counts and earnings, it’s essential to understand the basic requirement for making money on YouTube. To earn money through YouTube’s built-in system, you need to be part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).
To qualify for YPP, you must meet the following criteria:
You must have at least 1,000 subscribers.
Your videos must have garnered 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months.
You need to follow all of YouTube’s policies and guidelines.
You must live in a country where YPP is available.
You must have an AdSense account linked to your YouTube channel.
It’s important to note that even if you’ve amassed a lot of views, without meeting these criteria, you cannot monetize your channel through ads. Now that we’ve covered the basic requirements, let’s discuss how views turn into revenue.
How YouTube Pays Creators
Once you meet the YPP eligibility criteria and are approved, you can start earning money. However, views alone do not directly translate into earnings. YouTube pays creators primarily through advertising shown on their videos. Advertisers pay to display their ads on YouTube videos, and creators receive a portion of that revenue based on several factors. Here’s how YouTube monetization works:
Cost Per Mille (CPM): This metric refers to how much advertisers are willing to pay for every 1,000 views of their ads. CPM rates vary widely depending on several factors such as:
Video category: Certain niches like finance or tech have higher CPM rates, whereas vlogs or entertainment content might have lower rates.
Geographic location: Viewers in certain regions, like the U.S. or the U.K., may generate higher CPMs compared to viewers from other parts of the world.
Time of year: CPM rates tend to rise during certain seasons, like holidays or during significant shopping events, as advertisers bid more aggressively.
Ad Engagement: Simply having views is not enough to generate significant income. Advertisers care about how viewers interact with their ads. Do they watch the ad entirely? Do they click on it? The more engaged your audience is with the ads, the better the earnings.
Ad Types: Different ad formats (skippable ads, non-skippable ads, bumper ads, etc.) also impact how much you can earn per view. For example, non-skippable ads typically bring in more revenue than skippable ads.
Estimating Earnings Based on Views
Let’s look at a rough calculation. Suppose your video garners 100,000 views. The average CPM on YouTube can range from $2 to $10, but for simplicity, let’s take an average of $5. This means that for every 1,000 views, you earn $5 in ad revenue.
If you get 100,000 views on a video, here’s the math:
100,000 views ÷ 1,000 = 100 CPM units
100 CPM units × $5 = $500
In this case, your video could potentially earn $500 for 100,000 views. However, this is a simplified example, as CPM rates, engagement, and ad types can vary greatly. Also, YouTube takes a 45% cut of the ad revenue, meaning you keep 55% of the earnings. Thus, in the above example, you’d take home $275 out of the $500.
What Influences Earnings Besides Views?
Although views are an essential metric, other factors heavily influence how much a creator earns. Let’s break down the most significant ones:
Watch Time: This is one of YouTube’s most crucial ranking factors. Videos with longer watch times perform better in search results and recommended feeds. The more people watch your videos, the more ads are shown, leading to increased earnings.
Audience Demographics: As mentioned earlier, your audience’s location plays a significant role in determining CPM. Audiences in countries with higher purchasing power tend to attract advertisers willing to pay more.
Video Length: Longer videos have more potential for placing mid-roll ads. Creators can enable mid-roll ads on videos longer than eight minutes, which can increase earnings significantly.
Type of Content: Channels focusing on high-demand niches like tech, finance, or real estate tend to attract higher-paying ads. Advertisers in these industries are willing to pay more to reach their target audience.
Maximizing Earnings on YouTube
For creators aiming to boost their earnings, here are a few strategies to increase revenue:
Focus on Niche Content: Specialized content often attracts more targeted ads with higher CPM rates.
Engage Your Audience: Encourage viewers to engage with ads, whether it’s through clicks or watching the full ad.
Diversify Income Streams: Besides ads, consider adding other income streams like sponsorships, affiliate marketing, or selling merchandise.
Create Longer Videos: Videos over eight minutes allow you to include mid-roll ads, increasing your earning potential.
Conclusion
There is no magic number of views that guarantees significant income on YouTube. It’s not just the views but how they convert into engaged audience interactions that matter. While views are a crucial factor in making money on YouTube, it’s essential to focus on building an audience, engaging viewers, and creating high-quality content. Success on YouTube comes from consistency, content strategy, and understanding how the platform’s revenue system works. As you grow your channel and learn more about what works, the views — and the earnings — will follow naturally.
