LOSING PURPOSE
am I losing the ability to help people?
I used to be so good at it.
I used to know what advice would help people.
I used to pride myself on being able to fix people.
it was the only thing that kept me from feeling entirely useless.
even when I knew that nothing I said was going to fix them.
I at least knew what to say.
I at least knew how to help them, even just temporarily.
but i cant anymore?
I can't think of a single piece of advice to give to anyone.
and so I apologise.
"im sorry this is happening to you"
"im sorry, you deserve better"
"im sorry..."
"im sorry.."
"im sorry."
im sorry I can't fix you.
im sorry I forgot how.
im sorry.
I don't think I serve a purpose anymore.
please discard me at your earliest convenience.

how wonderful must it be
to be enveloped in the soft darkness
to be so beloved by the earth
that it would seep into your marrow
and cling tight to the shape of you, long gone
so truly
so faithfully
that even in a thousand, a hundred thousand turns of the sun
the rocks can still tell your story

“There’ve been many souls that have come and gone from the flock, some are just more memorable than others.”
Decided to doodle some cultists I’ve come up for in fics, had in my actual game, or a cool idea i came up with on the spot. Oh and Sozo and Webber are here too :D This is by no means the entirety of the cult, and there may be future followers that stand out too, but for now enjoy these guys. Feel free to ask about them I guess lmao
I will be putting down my written notes under a cut since they’re so small and scribbly ^^;
Brother Tyr, head priest, he/him: The Lamb's 3rd closest. Very stressed despite doing his job for 200 years. Tries and fails to be a peacekeeper in the cult. Tyr and Nari argue a lot.
Brother Narinder, head mortician, he/him: Don't piss him off. The Lamb's spouse. Best source of info on the crowns and outside world. Can do any job around the temple and will. When the Lamb isn't around.
Sister Merbre, temple organizer, she/her: Helob loves her. The main reason the temple runs when Lamb is gone. Has a surprising realist view. Everyone loves her. Romantic at heart.
Yeon, general worker, she/her: Has to let loose in demon form or else. Together with Julno. Friends with Narinder. Seeking absolution from her past crimes. 'Encouraged' Narinder to court Lamb.
Tyna, assistant mortician, they/them: Cult's head goth. Runs the slam poetry night. Also does piercings and tats.
Nanaon, retired missionary, she/her: One of the Lamb's most faithful. Insists she's not that old and can still work. One of the few mortals to earn the respect of both Deaths.
Firyn, farmer, he/him: A worker. Great with people and plants. Born after the fall of the Old Faith. Leshy's companion. Doesn't know the horrors yet. People tend to underestimate him.
Pura, general worker, she/they: Likes Firyn. Likes to manipulate things to her benefit. Doesn't like Leshy. Doesn't realize what being an ex-bishop means. Genuinely respects the Lamb.
Almer, refinery worker, he/him: Shamura's friend. Easy going. Wants a big family. A good confidant. Gives great hugs.
Grayden, silk sorter, they/them: Shamura's friend. Quiet but a beautiful singer. A shy pushover, but will snap.
Julno, farmer, he/him: Came with the 'coward' trait. Still scared of the Lamb, and Yeon's 'bestie' Narinder. Together with Yeon. Doesn't know her murderous urges.
Poppy, she/her: Best friends with Webber, youngest of the cult. Brave and tenacious Webber, he/them: Best friends with Poppy, youngest of the cult. Gentle and curious.
Dr. Sozonius, researcher, he/him: Amnesiac. Lamb is helping him find home. Extremely well educated about biology. Does not like the spider stalking him, or the mushroom.
Keeper, record keeper, she/him: Face is always obscured. Hates the Dark. Doesn't talk about his past. Has a strange locket that ticks. Always smells of salt.
Joobre, refinery worker/tailor, he/them: Loves working with silk. Has tea with Berith. Likes gold jewelry.
Thorty, bartender, he/him: Fights with Nari a lot. Short temper. Best with the drunks.
Bregrear, smith, he/him: Quiet. Knows his way around weapons. Old hat at this point. Hopes to retire in peace.
Harbre, smith apprentice/missionary, any pronouns: Hot tempered. Looks up to Bregrear. Married to Bathin, chases off suitors neither of them like. Longs to master their craft. Protective.
Anar, miner/lumberjack, he/him: Distrusting. Hard worker. Doesn't exactly trust the Lamb, but willing to give the cult a shot. Starts fights.
Fun-Gui, researcher assistant, they/them: Weirdly obsessed with Sozo. Self proclaims as his assistant. Other mushroomos don't like them. Always goopy and dripping.
Hajal, traitor, she/her: Left the cult. Status unknown.

Idea!
Rodimus while with the habit of shirking his captain duties is actually pretty proactive in taking care of his crew
Like he loves his found family obviously (knows everyone’s name even cause he’s THAT good) so like short of paperwork (the horror) he’s willing to do a lot to make them happy
For example, the medics have been complaining about the quality of their supplies and Roddy overhears (or heard through Drift) and strings are pulled and the next time they restock on supplies they’re hooked up with a different and probably better supplier
Or gossip around the bar says there’s this big racing event on Velocitron coming up and people were talking about how they wish they could watch (like they’ve haven’t seen a race since before the war or smt) and suddenly their next pit stop for energon is conveniently Velocitron within the timeframe of the event
Brainstorm needs a super specific mineral but it isn’t high priority so he doesn’t ask for it? Tracked down and included in their next supply list. Crosscut needs a custom set piece for his next play? Set up for him on his stage within a week. Blaster wants to start a radio show on the intership comms (because let’s be honest they don’t use it that much)? Approved and green lit (mayhaps behind Mags’ back but he won’t find out until too late)
At some point people do start noticing but no one really acknowledges it you know?
There is however a secret Rodimus appreciation club (secret because they’re afraid of what it’ll do to his ego if he knew) because if Rodimus is taking care of everyone else, there should be people taking care of him
The founder may or may not be Thunderclash and Drift may or may not be super salty about that fact
Oh my gosh i love this idea!
Roddy really does a lot for his crew he just hates paperwork. It makes him break out in a viral rash, literally. Ratchet has never seen anything like it lol
I say he makes it up to Magnus by getting him books and poetry artifacts because Magnus is into that kinda stuff. He also makes it up to Megatron by doing his shifts often just not the paperwork lol and by sneaking the mech some high quality high grade and home cooked fuel that he made personally. Roddy’s a great cook and mixologist its just the stuff he makes will sneak up on you and its heavy engenx not for the light weights lol
For Ratchet he gives him a full week off every month with Drift of course. He’s fine picking up the shifts because he gets something to do and socialize. He also makes sure he keeps a good stock of Perceptors favorite fuel since the mech is with Brainstorm all day.
He even makes sure Whirl gets to let his rage out on old equipment or things they need to get rid of. The mech is a lot less violent since allowed to have a rage room of sorts. In fact a lot of mechs are leas violent since Roddy put the rage room in. He thanks swerve for his service and the idea by having Blurr on the ship for a solid week.
No one went near Swerves hab but the occasional metal clangs told them he was getting lucky. That and Blurr leaving his personal comm with Swerve covered in blue paint.
Roddy definitely doesn’t need to know about his appreciation club. Definitely not.
They do all wonder why Soundwave of all mechs greets Rodimus at the vacation planet he was mysteriously given tickets to and why the mech has a servo on his lower back leading him somewhere private.

Mystical Mushrooms book notes
Part one:
Researchers at the Swedish Royal Museum of Natural History found mycelial fossils in ancient lava flows in South Africa dating back 2.4 billion years: 1 billion years earlier than originally thought to have existed. Making them one if the oldest known inhabitants of Earth.
Our earliest recorded references to mushrooms in the Western world come from the Greeks and Romans discussions on edible qualities.
Also depicted throughout history in art, music, literature, poetry, and more
Symbolize luck, longevity, fertility and rebirth, prosperity, safety, change, resilience, learning, patience, and introspection, among many other beliefs.
All mushrooms are fungi but not all fungi are mushrooms
Tumblr media
"Mushroom" is the mainly above ground, fleshy, fruiting body of a fungus. Usually comprising of a stem attached to a cap, often umbrella shaped, and often with gills.
Mushrooms develop microscopic spores rather than seeds underneath their caps or in tubes or sacs. Which are spread by whether and animals.
When these spores germinate creates a sophisticated network of underground threads called mycelium (or mycelia in the plural)
A fresh mushroom is about 90% water, 5% carbohydrate, 3% protein, 1% mineral salts and vitamins, and less than 1% fat.
Scents range from being reminiscent of a rotting corpse to sweet and enticing.
Vast and varied uses range from nourishment to medicine to decomposing plant waste and turning it into biofuel to creating ethical and sustainable fabrics to potential building materials for homes and other things.
2 of the oldest and largest networks of Armillaria include a relative of the honey mushroom called the "humongous fungus," which was discovered by a small group of scientists in 1988 in Michigan.
Covers 37 acres and is atkeast 1500 years old and weighs atleast 100 tons. Ongoing research has determined it may actually be twice as large and almost twice as old as originally thought.
1998 another bigger "humongouser" fungus was discovered
Malheur National Forest in Oregon now lays claim to the single biggest fungal organism: another species of Armillaria, one covering almost 3.5 square miles (spreading up to 3 feet per year) that is almost 2500 years old.
In the earliest studies as far back as 1600s mushrooms were thought to be an odd form of animal life. Later studies in the 18th century placed them with plants
Current research places them as more closely related to humans then plants in chemical makeup, even sharing similar DNA
FUN SIDE NOTES:
The word "mushroom" likely derives from the French word mousseron, from mousse, meaning "moss", among which mushrooms are often found growing- though is not a certainty and is subject of much debate. Mushroom first appeared in English during mid 15th century.

Funny Genshin Headcanons Based Off of my In-Game Teams!
Super long post, but I had fun with this!
Please note that I don't know all the lore perfectly, so some of these may be out of character. It's also colored a lot by my experiences playing them, especially the adventuring teams ♡
-
(General Traveling Team) Venti, Kokomi, Bennett, Kazuha
Kokomi has saved everyone at least once and will make everyone stand next to the jellyfish after a fight whether or not they're injured.
She also constantly freezes herself and her teammates, but her healing means they can't really get mad at her. She can certainly get mad at herself though.
Venti and Kazuha have a rivalry and often compare poetry in moments of repose.
Kazuha will use a leaf to play backing music to Venti's lullabies at night. He always falls asleep before the end of the song.
Venti and Kazuha also get into stupid competitions while climbing mountains. Venti frequently runs out of stamina, and Kazuha frequently slides all the way back down after misjudging the angle of the slope.
Bennett is beloved by the group. Venti is the most frequent victim of his bad luck.
Meaning: Venti is frequently set on fire and hit by enemies that really shouldn't have been able to hit him.
Most of the time it was in a genuine effort to protect Bennett.
The rest of the time it is Bennett accidentally burning the grass and causing Venti to suffer.
Venti is the one to most frequently need a Statue of the Seven. Kokomi normally has everyone else covered.
Despite his luck, Bennett is the only one to have never needed a Statue of the Seven... yet.
Kokomi takes hits that she doesn't think the others will survive. There's about a quarter of a chance that she just ends up dying herself.
Kazuha frequently takes risks while gliding. He hasn't died yet.
Kokomi does lecture him for it. It doesn't stop him.
Kazuha is the go-to miner because of his easy plunge attacks. This does not make the process quick.
Despite Kokomi's passive, everyone has drowned at least once.
Kazuha has drowned the most.
When no one wants to fight they have Venti plop himself on a vantage point and snipe at enemies from afar. It's a time-consuming process, but they've done it a few times.
Venti has scored the most critical hits, but Bennett has scored the most kills.
Most of those kills have been Venti. Via Burning.
Lawachurls and vishaps in particular take great joy in ramming Bennett off cliffs, but he's either tanky enough to survive or lucky enough to land in deep water.
If someone else tries to take the hit they always die and have to be brought to a statue.
All in all, they like hanging out with each other and are pretty good friends. Kokomi is unfortunately the responsible one, but Bennett doesn't exactly cause trouble on purpose.
(Freeze Team) Kaeya, Chongyun, Xingqiu, Kazuha
Since Chongyun and Xingqiu are stuck to the hip, Kaeya hangs out more with Kazuha than the other two. They're friendly but not exactly friends.
Kaeya thinks Kazuha is sus but won't say it.
Kazuha thinks Kaeya is sus bc his vibes are off.
Xingqiu thinks Kaeya is sus, but Kazuha's cool because Beidou trusts him.
Chongyun thinks they're both cool but that Kaeya takes too much joy in teasing him.
Kaeya also has... unorthodox methods that no one likes. They're effective... but also likely to give heart attacks and grey hairs.
Xingqiu does most of the talking.
Chongyun occasionally overheats, Kaeya takes great pleasure in throwing cryo at him. No one's quite sure if he's being mocking or genuinely helpful. Either way, it gives them enough time to make him an emergency popsicle.
When they lack the means to make a popsicle, they have actually just straight up run to Dragonspine. Kaeya usually ends up as the one carrying him, even though he's the DPS and really should have his sword hand free.
Kazuha appreciates Chongyun because he doesn't have to mine with plunges.
There isn't really a healer, so if they're injured after a fight and too far from a Statue, they just have Xingqiu use his Rain Swords and very slowly heal each of them up to full health.
It usually isn't that bad because they don't often fight things that can't be frozen. That doesn't mean the enemy won't get in a few hits before they freeze though.
Kaeya and Chongyun working together means ice-bridging is very fast.
That doesn't mean Xingqiu hasn't slipped off a few times.
Xingqiu and Kaeya can both cook. Chongyun trusts neither of them to do so and usually ends up eating whatever fruit Kazuha foraged instead.
Cryo slimes are their mortal enemies.
All in all, they're mostly friendly, but Kaeya causes some friction with Chongyun and Kazuha in particular. (This man woke up a ruin guard to help out in a fight. He can and will use dangerous methods to get the job done.)
(DPS Venti) Venti, Layla, Bennett, Faruzan
Faruzan really likes them, because Bennett and Venti always call her Madam.
Layla sometimes forgets but she gets a pass because she's constantly sleep deprived.
Layla's only job is to provide them (or at least Venti) a shield. They don't make her do anything else because she deserves a nap. She will sometimes set up her Celestial Dreamsphere for them though!
Since Bennett is the only healer, they make occasional trips to a statue of the seven to avoid wasting his burst.
Faruzan actually ran the numbers to see how much stronger she and Bennett were making Venti... and promptly threw them away.
(No one needs to know how powerful that bard actually is.)
Faruzan and Venti will exchange archery tips, alongside general information about the study of language. Since Venti is always listening and participating, Faruzan has decided he's her friend for life.
And also his views on language through a bard's lens are extremely inreresting.
(And sometimes a bit too well-informed)
Bennett understands exactly zero of what anyone is talking about, but is happy enough to act as Layla's pillow (he's warm) or Faruzan's captive audience (she knows he doesn't understand, but by the archons she will find a way to teach him.)
Venti thinks Faruzan is a nice change of pace; Mondstadt doesn't have many die-hard academics like her, and her area of study is definitely something any bard would take even a mild interest in.
Layla likes that they don't try to make her participate. Sometimes Venti even helps her with her studies, and points her in the right direction if she needs it.
(She won't question why the bard is so informed. She heard there was an astrologist in Mondstadt. That's good enough for her.)
Bennett is like a little brother, and he's warm. She sometimes can't help just falling asleep on him.
Though occasionally there's a rude awakening when a tree branch nearly falls on them or a slime decides to attack.
Venti plays them lullabies every night, to ensure peaceful dreams and restful sleep. Those are the best sleeps they've ever had.
All in all, they're very good friends. Venti and Faruzan are besties, and Layla and Bennett are the little siblings they drag around.
(Aggravate) Tighnari, Fischl, Lisa, Baizhu
Tighnari and Lisa have a mutual respect for each other, given that they both told the Akademiya to fuck off.
Baizhu is an honorary member, because even though he was never part of the Akademiya (i think), he's still researching new medicines outside of the Akademiya's influence. And he's extremely good at it.
Baizhu finds Fischl interesting and somewhat annoying, but only in the way that all teenagers are a bit annoying.
Changsheng and Oz are good friends and like snarking each other. Oz is more polite about it than Changsheng, so she's determined to get him to be outright rude to her.
Lisa is a very lazy person and often just sets up her burst and lets everyone else do the work. Changsheng can respect this, Tighnari and Baizhu find this annoying.
Tighnari will pay attention to all of them during fights, but only really ends up giving Fischl tips afterwards since the other two won't really care (Baizhu because he's a healer, and Lisa because she won't put more effort in.)
Fischl appreciates the archery sessions, but Tighnari is now her scariest teacher.
The Guild has noticed a sharp improvement in her fighting skills though. Especially since she's had the honor of helping Reckless Pallad out a few times.
Lisa is protective of Fischl in a hands-off way. Early on, if either Baizhu or Tighnari got too close she called their attention to herself. After a few weeks she decided she could trust them not to hurt her.
Baizhu and Tighnari have a mild sort of rivalry, and both are glad to be learning more about plants from other regions. They've both learned from each other, and both have new plants to look into that might help with certain ailments.
Fischl thinks Baizhu is alright, but not someone she'd seek out for a chat unless she was sick.
Tighnari intimidates her, but he feels trustworthy. And he's always willing to teach her new things.
Lisa gets on Tighnari's nerves, but she thinks he's alright. Definitely the sort of friend that Cyno needs.
Baizhu doesn't care much for Lisa, but she and Changsheng get along, so he thinks she can't be too bad.
All in all, they can work together, but they aren't close.
(Burgeon) Ayato, Thoma, Aether, Kokomi
Thoma and Aether are the sweetest beans that make sure the group runs smoothly
Not that Ayato or Kokomi would cause many problems, as both are pretty levelheaded.
Kokomi is no longer the sole responsible one, as Thoma has joined her as the Mom Friend, and Aether does his best but is also occasionally reckless.
Ayato is the gremlin that can and will hide his troublemaking tendencies only so you have plausible deniability.
With Thoma and Aether, this group never goes hungry.
Ayato appreciates Kokomi's strategic mind and thinks she's a valuable ally, perhaps even a friend.
Kokomi likewise appreciates Ayato's willingness to get his hands dirty and how he always puts his family above others.
Aether thinks Kokomi and Ayato can get a bit intense when playing... literally anything, but he's glad they're getting along.
Thoma notices that Kokomi has a small social battery and makes sure to organize time where he takes Ayato and Paimon off to explore while Aether stays behind to watch camp.
This works because Kokomi knows that Aether knows about her introversion, so she allows herself to take breaks and naps.
Ayato and Kokomi do occasionally get into political arguments, but Thoma and Aether both do their best to smother any fires before they start.
Ayato is the one to most frequently get injured, as setting up his burst takes a few very valuable seconds.
Thoma's shields can only block so much, and adding Aether's crystallize shields doesn't do much.
Thankfully Kokomi is more than willing to assist.
Thoma spends his evenings helping Aether brush up on his sewing while Ayato and Kokomi talk politics and play shogi.
All in all, they're a close-knit group that have a mutual respect and care for each other. Given time, they'll all be very good friends.
(Physical) Freminet, Xingqiu, Beidou, Mika
Beidou does her best to bring Mika and Freminet out of their shells. It only works half the time.
Beidou can respect Freminet's skill in battle though. He's impressive.
Xingqiu makes it his mission to befriend the two most timid people he's ever met, and they REALLY aren't having it.
Ironically, Freminet and Mika become pretty good friends because of Xingqiu's... socializing.
Beidou suddenly has to become the responsible adult, and it's a miracle no one's died doing something reckless yet.
Mika respects Beidou and Freminet's battle prowess and maritime intelligence. He also admires Xingqiu's dedication.
That doesn't mean he wants to socialize with him.
Freminet thinks Beidou is respectable and that Mika is considerate and intelligent. Both have valuable skill sets, and Mika is quiet enough that they can coexist comfortably without socializing.
Freminet dislikes Xingqiu and finds him annoying.
Mika keeps a map everywhere they go. If no one's paying attention, he'll run off to finish drawing the mountain or lake.
This is worse because he's the worst fighter of their group. He can heal, and that's the only thing keeping Beidou from tying a leash to him.
Likewise, Freminet will occasionally just,,,, dip. If he doesn't want to socialize, he can and will dive into the nearest body of water.
Beidou's the only one that can follow him and drag him back out.
But she doesn't have a scuba helmet so there's only so much she can do.
Xingqiu is annoyed that Mika and Freminet are so guarded around him, but he acknowledges that it took him months to befriend Chongyun
He isn't giving up.
He also thinks Beidou is super cool, and those two do most of the talking.
All in all, Beidou has her work cut out for her, especially since Xingqiu doesn't realize he's the reason Freminet keeps diving into the deepest bodies of water he can find lol.
They can work together decently well, due to Beidou's leadership, but she's about to punt all three of them into the sea for being idiots.
(Electro-Charged) Heizou, Beidou, Fischl, Barbara
Rip Barbara. She has patience, but not enough of it for Beidou, Heizou, AND Fischl.
Beidou and Heizou are terrible influences.
Barbara cursed for the first time because of Beidou and nearly gave Rosaria a heart attack.
Fischl finds Heizou to be pretty cool, but finds his intelligent gaze to be a bit unnerving. She's not sure she wants to know what conclusion he's come to about her.
Heizou's still trying to figure out if she's actually a reincarnator, since the Traveler proved the existence of other worlds. He's been asking pointed questions to Oz, who's having none of his shit and being purposely obtuse. Fischl is less opaque, but speaks in riddles that he isn't always certain he's solved perfectly.
Otherwise, he thinks she's pleasantly odd.
Oz is just having fun annoying him.
(He doesn't want to know what conclusion Heizou comes to. Either his life is a lie, or his Prinzessin's world is gone. Neither is ideal.)
Beidou thinks Heizou's a cool drinking buddy. She doesn't care what he thinks about her, or that he thinks he's got her all figured out. She's just herself, no need to stress over what others know.
Heizou respects Beidou. She's a hardworking and extremely intelligent woman that's willing to bend the rules to help people. He'll still arrest her if he has to, but he'll probably argue for a lighter sentence if that ever happens.
If that does ever happen, the chase itself would be payment enough for such a small favor. A woman as intelligent as she wouldn't make an investigation easy.
Barbara likes Heizou well enough, but thinks that perhaps one can be too smart for their own good. As one blessed with the power of Anemo, Barbara is sure Lord Barbatos is watching over him.
Heizou thinks Barbara's a nice girl, if a bit too nice. Her faith in Barbatos is admirable, it almost makes him want to go and pray himself, but he won't. As someone so kind, he decides to look out for her where he can. She'd be too easy to take advantage of.
He's also aware that she has at least two other guardian angels, but adding a third won't hurt. Such busy people can't be everywhere, affer all.
Beidou likes telling Fischl and Barbara stories in their downtime, and attempts to get Barbara to sing sea shanties.
She doesn't shout them at the top of her lungs, she adds melody where a rhythm is enough, but her voice is pretty so Beidou doesn't mind.
Barbara is often inspired by them to write songs, her favorite is of the girl who lost everything and rebuilt herself under Barbatos's watchful eye.
She doesn't know if Fischl's tales are true. It doesn't matter, she's still a child of Mondstadt regardless.
Beidou and Heizou occasionally clash over tactics, they're right and wrong about an equal amount of the time. More frequently, they're both right. It makes fighting alongside them an interesting experience.
Barbara is very careful to heal everyone, especially knowing that all three are under Barbatos's protection. A child of Mondstadt, a child of Anemo, and a sailor who prays for steady winds, she'll treat them equally.
Even if they weren't, she'd treat them, but an extra incentive to be kind never hurt.
None of them are especially reckless, and Heizou and Beidou's leadership wouldn't let them be anyway, so any mission they go on together is completed with efficiency.
All in all, a bit eccentric, but they all like each other and work together well.
Honorable Mentions!
Though not frequent teammates, they team up often enough to deserve a mention. Most of them are Abyss Teams!
(Inazuma Exploration) Venti, Kokomi, Fischl, Kazuha
Kokomi dislikes being on a team with these three (four?) She can't compete with their poetry and frankly doesn't want to. Oz is the only other sane one.
Fischl brings out the worst in Venti and Kazuha. Venti takes her presence as permission to rhyme every line, and Kazuha always decides to start bouncing haiku ideas off of them about half an hour in.
This team often only meets in Inazuma, and they have terrible luck.
Every. Single. One of them has gotten struck by lightning.
Kokomi is working overtime on this team, and yet everyone is usually half-dead regardless because Inazuma is extremely unfriendly.
All of them are socially exhausted when they part ways, but Kokomi is the only one that actually shows it.
Throughout all this, Venti and Kazuha are still at it with their mountain climbing rivalry. Kokomi's had to drag them both to a statue of the seven after they got struck by lightning mid climb.
Kokomi actually finds Fischl mostly pleasant when Venti and Kazuha are off doing their own thing.
(Sumeru Exploration) Venti, Tighnari, Fischl, Kazuha
Usually meet for foraging missions in Sumeru. The lack of a healer is noticeable.
Tighnari has patience, but he usually wants to bash his head in with a rock because they won't. shut. up.
Kazuha is the most tolerable of the three to him.
He leads them into withering zones on purpose sometimes.
Tighnari does let Oz sit on his shoulder or head sometimes, because even he needs the occasional break from Fischl and Venti's combined word-vomit.
(Burning) Tighnari, Bennett, Baizhu, Kazuha
Usually only team up in the abyss, but are a surprisingly good team.
Tighnari is usually the one to trigger self-burning and is thus Baizhu's least favorite patient.
Bennett and Baizhu make for a wonderful team, and Changsheng lets him pat her head.
Tighnari has a mostly good time around this team, since Baizhu and Kazuha combine to form a rather calming pair.
Bennett reminds him of Collei. No one will know if he sneaks extra bandages into the kid's pack when they part ways.
Baizhu and Tighnari frequently get into passive aggressive snark matches. It never gets heated, and Changsheng seems to find it funny.
Baizhu gives them all a top up when they part ways. If they ever need actual medicine he'll drag them back to Liyue and figure out who to bill for the medicine later.
(Melt) Kaeya, Chongyun, Bennett, Kazuha
Again, usually an Abyss team, but surprisingly good at working together.
Half the time Chongyun forgets to switch off his Noblesse pieces, which means him and Bennett are both fighting over the buff and lowering the team's overall DPS.
Kaeya also forgets to switch off his Blizzard Strayer half the time, and thus usually has an abysmal crit rate and worse EM
Kazuha has an easy enough job as the grouper, he just lets his burst off when Bennett's field is active so he swirls pyro
Bennett has the hardest job as both the only healer and the only one with energy issues. No one really dies, but they usually aren't at high health going into the next chamber.
Bennett and Kaeya usually do a coinflip to decide who gets to use the Mistsplitter.
If Beidou isn't on the second side, she'll let Chongyun fight her so he can use the Wolf's Gravestone. Kazuha is always impressed when he actually comes back with it. If he loses, or Beidou's using it, he has to use the Sac Greatsword.
They all get along rather well, with Bennett being the only energetic one. Sometimes Kaeya and Chongyun clash, but Kazuha is always quick to mediate. When all else fails, Bennett getting involved makes them both feel guilty.
When they part ways Kaeya likes spraying Chongyun with Cryo. None of them can tell if it's supposed to be helpful or mocking.
(Bloom) Venti, Xingqiu, Aether, Kokomi
Usually a Floor 11 team, and very good at protecting the monolith.
Venti's normal attacks do impressive damage, and adding Xingqiu to it only makes them more so.
Aether's blooms do incredible damage. He's nearly killed himself and Venti on multiple occasions, but Kokomi is there for a reason.
Aether has ER issues, so he sometimes sacrifices EM to go 2pc Guilded 2pc Emblem if they're stuggling to clear.
They might take a while to clear, but the Monolith has never gone below 95% in their care.
Xingqiu gets along very well with both Venti and Kokomi, and the Traveler is there as their mutual friend.
Aether is more talkative on this team than on others, owed mostly to Venti being sure to include him.
(Jadeplume Terrorshroom Killers) Keqing, Fischl, Beidou, Kazuha
Their only purpose is to kill the Dendro Chicken as quickly as possible. Are they all usually on life support by the end? Yes. But they kill the Dendro Chicken Very Fast.
Thankfully Keqing and Beidou are both capable of counteracting Fischl's influence on Kazuha.
Beidou's starting to think Venti is the bad influence, because she actually thinks Fischl's pretty cool.
Oz thinks Keqing is his favorite person, after his Prinzessin, of course.
Keqing just wants to get the job done so she can get back to being productive. She's usually the one to make off with the lower grade artifacts that the Traveler doesn't care about.
Beidou always drags Kazuha over for a meal and a chat afterwards, so they can catch up on what his travels have been like.
(Sunfire: Burning Edition) Tighnari, Jean, Bennett, Kazuha
The team pulled out when Sunfire is needed for anything.
Jean is usually on Clam, since Kazuha has VV covered.
Are two healers enough to keep Tighnari alive? The answer to that is: sometimes!
Jean thinks Bennett is Mondstadt incarnate, the picture of everything she strives to protect. And also that he's a disaster magnet that she should probably protect regardless.
Bennett thinks Jean is super cool and is honestly fanboying most of the time because she's always in her office! He actually gets to see her!
Tighnari respects Jean's levelheadedness and is impressed that she's quite a bit kinder than him despite being just as strict.
He's also gone from irritated to mildly impressed at how many disasters Bennett manages to find himself in.
Normally he'd chew out an adventurer for being stupid, but with Bennett it is a genuine coincidence.
A fascinating thing to witness, Tighnari's started making notes every time they meet outside the Abyss.
Kazuha finds them all to be pleasant company, but is curious that someone with an anemo vision could be so disciplined.
Other than his mild curiosity, he respects her, and puts in a good word for her with Beidou just in case they decide to trade.

Johnny MacTavish; Miner
Tumblr media
Introduction to the AU
Let's meet our candidate!
Where is he from?
Virginia City, NV
Where does he live?
Santa Ysabel, CA
What's his livelihood?
With high aspirations and raised by a father who worked in the mines, Johnny’s work ethic and passion have created a successful career for him in engineering. He is the lead demolition expert at Ready Relief Mine and maintains safety for all through his work.
What are his qualities?
Johnny described himself as a curious man about the sciences behind explosives- safe yet innovative. He is a social butterfly, a proud man of his upbringing and passions, and someone who loves to explore the great outdoors. While being a flirt through his letters and words, he is actually quite romantic and knows how to write eloquently with small phrases of poetry and romance to express his feelings that would not fit into ordinary words.
He is an adrenaline seeker and loves to test and hone his skills in demolition concoctions, so he wants someone who isn’t opposed to loud booms and science adventures, safely, of course. Despite his fun side, he does have a hard exterior when involving the safety and protection of others, never one to let someone he loves be hurt by man or nature. Johnny has a heart full of longing, ready to have someone to come home to, and is the most charming man who can make anyone smile when trying to make them happy.
Biography
John MacTavish, otherwise known as Johnny, was born and raised in Virginia City, Nevada, in 1845. He is the son of a miner and a dressmaker, with three younger siblings. John's father died in an unexpected cave-in when Johnny was just a boy, leaving his mother to raise him on her own with a newborn being the youngest of the family. Despite the hardship of their life, Johnny’s mother instilled a strong work ethic and a passion for engineering in him, despite the cause of the death of his father, which he once cursed for all of their troubles.
As a young man, John became an expert in munitions and served for a time as a military engineer. After his service, he was approached with an offer to move to the new mine in Santa Ysabel, California, where he would be in charge of the mine's demolition work. He developed a reputation as a master of his craft, and his skills were in high demand by mining companies throughout the region.
Johnny's passion for demolition went beyond his professional life; he liked to experiment with explosives in his spare time, testing out new combinations and techniques in the wilderness, far away from the mine's tunnels. He loved the rush of adrenaline that came from handling a dangerous substance, and he took great care to ensure the safety of himself and others during these experiments. When not working or experimenting with explosives, Johnny can often be found in the saloon, sharing a drink with friends and telling stories of his adventures in the mines. His smile and kind, easygoing nature made him well-liked by the other miners, who respected his expertise and his determination to make their workplace a safer place.
Now having moved away from his mother and younger siblings, he misses the chaotic home that he would always come back to, and the sounds of people talking on a night under the sky. He wants someone who will keep his home warm, ready to welcome him back from the mines with a large smile and hug, plus, not minding the dirt and dust that he brings home. He is a very reliable man; often seen as too casual but once someone gets hurt, his fists are quicker than a scorpion’s stinger. As a very romantic man just waiting for the right person, he is ready to create a bond stronger than diamonds.

The Dreamers: Headcanons
Herrah:
The youngest of the dreamers by a significant amount.
She consumed her last mate, the old king of deepnest, after age started to weaken him. This was widely regarded by deepnest populous as a good move.
In the early days of her reign she had to deal with many spiders who chaffed under her rule. This is because she initially came from the lower castes of deepnest. Her title as the beast was one originally given as an insult in hopes calling attention to her caste would undermine her rule. Suffice to say Herrah made the title her own, and executed her political enemies publicly.
She struggled a lot with dealing with young hornet, mostly because Hornet is far more Wyrm than spider. As a grub Hornet was only vocalizing like a young Wyrm would-on frequencies Herrah couldn’t hear- which caused Herrah to worry about her a lot. Eventually she went to the king and(begrudgingly) asked him to teach her about Hornets biology. After that things got much better.
She keeps a small bowl of metal splinters on the counter for Hornet—who needs metal to develop her shell properly— to eat. Getting Hornet to eat her metals was a constant struggle.
Herrah was a fantastic mother and tried to do her best by Hornet in the time she had.
She made a small quilt for baby hornet. Hornet has kept this quilt for the entirety of her life and it’s one of her most prized possessions.
Herrah definitely has some skeletons in her closet, she started out as a mercenary before catching the eye of the old king of deepnest and marrying up. She killed quite a few bugs and spiders on her way up to queendom.
favorite color is purple
She won’t tell anyone but she has a massive sweet tooth, especially for hive honey.
she’s a bi queen for sure, and almost certainly had a crush on Vespa.
She and the white lady ended up being fairly good friends, though it was hard for Herrah to get used to the slow pace the white lady thinks at. She let the white lady grubsit Hornet even outside of the time Hornet spent living at the palace.
Lurien:
I’m on the Lurien is a butterfly train, I think it even makes a lot of sense for him to be one. Specially a a blue morpho(some of my favorite butterflies)
Because he’s a butterfly he really likes salty or otherwise mineral rich foods, he often drinks a sort of saltwater tea, with a ton of nectar in it.
His wings are deformed, they never fully expanded when he emerged from his chrysalis. It’s part of why he doesn’t interact with the people of the city so often, he was excluded from a lot of traditional activities by other butterflies before leading the city.
He’s got a limited sense of foresight—this foresight is something that rarely appears in beings touched by the kings light— it’s generally not that helpful though, often all he sees is ravenous darkness…
Takes long naps, but he’s a light sleeper
He's quite the painter and prefers realism to other forms of art, if he hadn’t gone to dream he’d probably have branched out in 50 years or so.
Monomon:
She has a very fine sense of temperature and pressure fluctuations in the air, this is basically her way of finding thermals to float on.
Has actually talked to Unn before she left to dream, mostly just about the history of the lands around Hallownest
Before she came to Hallownest she was a highly renowned poet, she eventually got bored with poetry and moved on to learning the sciences.
First and foremost she’s a biochemist, she used her knowledge to aide with the initial phases of the vessel project.
She brought all sorts of samples from her homeland when she arrived in Hallownest, fog canyon is a result of her artificially recreating her home.
She did something to the air in the canyon to make if behave more like water, it has something to do with chemical additives. As a result normal bugs are advised to spend minimal time in fog canyon because the air is mildly acidic and the humidity is higher than most bugs are comfortable with.
Quirrel is fine there though, because he’s a pill bug and needs the humidity
I know a lot of people like to portray Monomon as Quirrels mom, but I really see them more as peers. They’re both independently acclaimed scientists who have a mutual respect for eachother— and a small whisper of what could have been by the time she goes to dream.
Likes meaty foods, her mouth is on the underside of her body.
Shes the oldest of the dreamers, having been a higher being before coming to Hallownest. She doesn’t really behave like it though.

Introductions ✨✨
Hey! I'm Coriander. It's not what I go by in my other blogs on here but I want to keep things a bit more separate, at least at first. This is gonna be a long one (sorry) so I'm adding a cut.
I'm exploring Hellenic polytheism, and have only recently started, but it's something I've been considering, in a way, for over a year. I don't have a big, intense story that marks the beginning for me; I didn't necessarily feel a personal, spiritual connection to any of the deities from the time I was a young child in the way others describe, and I haven't had an intense experience that marked the beginning of my path.
I've always felt drawn to Greek mythology, though. I have a distinct memory of laying on my stomach on the floor of the school library in 3rd or 4th grade, reading a picture book about Hades and Persephone. It kept my attention the way others - even Egyptian mythology, another major interest - didn't. I, of course, had the classic queer kid experience of being super into the Percy Jackson series for a while, but my interest in it predated that. The specific deities I've been drawn to have changed somewhat as I've grown up, and they definitely shaped some of my interests. But delving into them again has helped me see connections that weren't explicitly connected to Greek mythology. I felt drawn to Athena growing up, for example, and my love of owls was definitely shaped by that. Even though that has settled into the background somewhat, that connection has persisted in things like my knitting and desires to dye yarn and learn how to weave (side note: I associate crochet more with Apollo, actually, despite it also being a fiber art). I felt connected to Artemis and Persephone as a kid, but that waned as I got older, discovered I was trans, and began my transition. I've felt connected to Hestia and her quiet hearth-keeping since I learned about her: I've always strived to make myself & my space safe and welcoming for others, and being told I succeeded in that is one of the best compliments I've received. But my interests in the morbid (ex Pompeii & the Paris catacombs), psychopomps, rocks & minerals, and keys weren't explicitly related to Hades. Some of the connections didn't click until I started to look into him more seriously about a year ago. I was an artist and had interests in writing, poetry, singing, and playing instruments long before it actually clicked that all of those fell into Apollo's domain, as I associated Athena far more with visual arts as a kid. I also didn't realize that he & Artemis cover diseases (another long-running interest) until very recently. The concept of xenia, too, was something I grew up with to some extent, even though no one called it that. My father modelled it to my siblings and I; I even learned about it within the context of ancient Greece at some point growing up and it stuck with me, despite not knowing the name.
I grew up Mormon, and was incredibly devout until college, when the pandemic forcibly separated me from that environment and I not only discovered that I was queer in several ways, but realized that the Church 1) wasn't safe to stay in and 2) wasn't actually true (which came later, when I started to get over my fear of reading "anti-Mormon literature"). During that period between those two realizations I got into tarot and using plants and crystals for their correspondences (two other interests growing up), as well as using rocks to ground myself. At that time, I considered myself a "liminal Mormon", and was reaching out to Heavenly Mother specifically via tarot. But as it set in that Mormonism specifically, and Christianity generally, wasn't for me, I got more and more interested in modern witchcraft separated from the belief system I was raised in.
It never quite felt right, though. The constant need for protections and doing something "the right way" lest things backfire and you invite the wrong thing into your home, or hurt yourself, or others, or or or, made my anxious & scrupulous brain go into overdrive. I wasn't even sure I believed in it spiritually, or if I was just interested in it from a mindfulness standpoint, and staring down the barrel of comically high piles of research without knowing where to start was exhausting. The concept of dual deities, the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine, put a bad taste in my mouth (which bled over into Persephone for a while because she and Hades are often used to symbolize those archetypes- sorry Persephone). But, not wanting to listen too much to my discomfort (since part of it may have been, and probably was, prior conditioning), I pushed ahead and actually completed one ritual that had all of the steps - cleansing, representations of the four elements and directions, etc. - and was very carefully designed to leave room for growth and change. It represented the start of my path. I still have the jar I made during the ritual, though I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it.
Around that time, I was considering whether or not to work with deities- specifically Hades, as that was who I felt the most drawn to at the time. The idea interested me, but I wasn't sure if it was from an academic or spiritual angle. I'd really only seen deity work from a modern witchcraft/neo-pagan perspective which, again, didn't sit right with me. On top of that, I wasn't quite ready to let go of Christianity even though I already functionally had, and was terrified of doing something "wrong" and getting, for lack of a better term, sent to (figurative) hell. I decided to do a simple "yes/no" tarot pull and got about the clearest "no" you can get: a reversed Ace of Swords. So I decided to let it rest and that, if I ever felt drawn to it again, I could re-approach the topic.
So, for over a year, I didn't touch it. Continuing with witchcraft after the ritual didn't feel right, either, so my altar collected dust while I tried to sort out my spirituality (or lack thereof). I settled on "I don't know and that's okay" and left it at that, trusting that when the time came, and I had more energy and mental space, that I would be able to start looking into things again.
I never truly stopped thinking about the idea of deity work/worship, though. It was always in the back of my mind. I figured it was because of the way I was raised and tried to sever my idea of spirituality from how I was conditioned while I worked through my religious trauma, got on anxiety medication, and learned more about myself and how I interacted with the world (including that I have both ADHD and autism, something that surprised no one).
Recently I talked with a witchy friend about my thoughts on divinity and what is or isn't out there (neither of us were sure but we both felt like there was something), and that conversation gave me the button I needed to start looking into paganism again. I realized at work a week or two later that I could just look up the different paths of paganism (a term I'd recently heard that hadn't clicked before then) and see if there was one that did fit. The first site I found not only had a clear, concise explanation for belief systems I hadn't knowingly come across before, but it touched on Hellenic polytheism and gave a recommendation for someone to watch to learn more about it. And unlike the sharp knot in my chest that warned me away from attending BYU, and going on a mission, and delving further into modern witchcraft as I'd been introduced to it, learning about Hellenic polytheism felt right. It was heavy and grounding and like home. Many of the issues I'd had with other neo-pagan systems - the constant vigilance & protections & concerns over trickster spirits, for example - simply didn't exist there, or were approached very differently. I still had a mental block about it, though, and realized it was because of that tarot pull a year prior. So I did another one, and got a clear "Yes, jump right in. We're waiting for you". And that's where I've been since which, granted, hasn't been for very long. I've felt especially connected to Apollo and Aphrodite recently, who I believe reached out in a different tarot pull recently - using the same card, actually - which is interesting because while I've appreciated different ways Aphrodite has been depicted, I haven't felt very connected to her in a way I realized was her until recently. It makes sense, though- I got into my first relationship around the same time I did that ritual, and not only are we still together a year later, but a trinket I used to ground myself during those first few months is also pretty directly associated with her. I'm planning on adding it to her altar/shrine area as soon as I find it (it's also still amongst the moving wreckage).
But anyway, hi! If you read this far thank you for taking the time out of your day to do so. If anyone has recommendations for books or other educational resources, or discord servers/other online forum-esque communities, please feel free to share. I've been enjoying looking through the tags and getting a feel for the community here, too; hopefully I'm here to stay.

Went back to actually playing cotl a couple days ago, which got me actually thinking about lamb again
Which lead to a buncha thoughts, and these drawings of some of my main followers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, thoughts dump under the cut, massive text post abt lamb and followers
Note, most of the followers are loosely based on followers from my game,
So, let’s start with what I’ll mean by my lamb for this, there’s my kallamar hubby, and then there’s this boy; one from each of my playthroughs, my first lamb (kali hubby) was my first, and the most unserious, but during that second play through, where my goal was to get every through, I eventually had actually long term thoughts about lamb and the world at large; this post is about the second lamb, from here on out I’ll just be calling my lamb (since I suppose he’s my head canon version of lamb?)
Let’s start with the name, lamb, in this version I think he was closer to a little real lamb, he was young when he went to the chopping block. Id say approx sixteen, at the very start of being a vessel, and still rather young by the time he takes the crown.
By now lambs cult has already begun to grow, but still isn’t more than 30 or so, followers have come and gone, but the first three favoured followers of lamb have already been picked. The first two, Hanana, and Magrear, a lumber jack and miner (later carpenter and proper stone mason) are brothers, and the third, Putre largely focused on poetry, but at start was a farmer. All three were from darkwood, all three were some of the first followers of my lamb, and would remain his most loyal (and each become his first disciples, though not all in order)
The cult is growing, it’s been almost 50 years, bishops have been fought (though not resurrected yet) a crown claimed, buildings built, first resurrections of the loyal have started.
Now, the fourth Follower, Hegretre, the first born to the cult, and one of the most favoured. Following my save, they become something of a mother and friend to most of the cult (in a literal sense, as they made something like half of all eggs born), and far later, a lover to most of the bishops (excluding Narinder, who was celibate in this play through, but it still feels fitting either way). While they become something of an overwhelmed parent, (by the time they get a gold skull necklace, they’ve largely stopped having children of their own, and is now largely just a friend and (first) advisor to the lamb.)
Things are speeding up, proper cultist grounds, one faith under the lamb, bishops are being resurrected (narinder has been sitting in corpse jail for most of this, (he got killed in a fight, and was put in a grave (the only grave, as my followers eat the dead)) in the little memorial sort of area in the cult, with the other downs left on display). Kallamar is acclimating the best, though only because the largely land dwelling followership hadn’t had much interaction anchordeep.
During this, the lamb of course meets the mystic seller, and makes his trades, enough to start receiving gold skull necklaces (very slowly, it’s takes almost 20 years for the lamb to get these necklaces). First for the brothers, (Hanana, and Magrear), next for Hegretre, last for Putre.
Now, lamb largely has nothing to do, except for rule. Lamb is still an infant god however, still learning how to rule, how to be a god. Lamb, while trying not to be outright hostile, has little love for the bishops at the moment, still forever fresh wounds from their first death. Shamura, in their broken mind is still the closest thing to becoming mentor to lamb in godhood, even if lamb is still largely unwilling of their help. Lamb had the hardest time truly hating Shamura, and by extent does still listen (even when they pretend that they aren’t) to Shamura while they ramble, drunk or spinning thread. Lambs more trusted advice comes by way of Hegretre, and Hanana, who while not officially called advisors (yet), largely fill that role while being lambs first disciples.
Next (in order of lamb getting around to trusting) is Leshy, which is actually brought about because he at some point noticed that lambs cult (even now) is largely of creatures from darkwood, and attempts to tease the lamb for it. They eventually bond over being to young to rule. Heket is hard to pinpoint, is a slower acceptance into the cult, she doesn’t want to be there. Kallamar is a similar situation to Heket, but from the reversed, Kallamar is trying to hard to be a part of the cult, and Lamb is distrustful of him, dosen’t help that lambs first spy was from anchordeep.
Important note: it actually takes this version of lamb a very long time to get the bishops relics and heal their wounds, and as narinder is still in death time out, his claw isnt gained at all for a very long time.
It’s been well over a hundred years (I interpret days in game to sort of like years, slightly altered to make this timeline make for sense for actual time), the cult is starting to become a kingdom, children are hatched having never known the old faiths rule, those who still do are old, or long resurrected. The disciples are becoming important in this new kingdom, official advisors to the red crown bearer himself. Long lived creatures, there, resurrected and living, and immortal since the beginning, some are now being hatched having only ever seen these dicplies as immortal, won’t grow to see them die and be resurrected, only alive, brushing a sort of godly themselves near the lamb.
I think on a long enough time table (which is to say, does happen, in this little version of mine) these deciples of the lamb who are long immortal, grow to become something of demigods under the lamb, worshiped one and the same, though they lack crowns, they still change eventually, similar to witnesses, they become more than a beast, but less than a bishop.
But that’s all later than I’ve really thought about yet.
For now, the lamb is still young in his godhood, it’s been perhaps 200 years, and a kingdom is growing, a place where the first machines are being made.
By now, he has his small court of advisors, his disciples, and the ex bishops.

27-33? 😁 ✨
27. any nicknames?
Nope, Flood is my legal name. /j
Uh, actually not very many apart from like, internet usernames. There are two main riffs on my government name that people have used, but no one does anymore.
28. do you collect anything?
Yes! I collect skulls! And also pelts, fossils, crystals, and apparently plushies (bison, wolves, and bats, which have all been weirdly accidental.)
The skull collection is currently somewhere upward of 20, but not everything is displayed because I suck at decorating, and have a somewhat chaotic home.
Pelts, I have numerous cowhides and reindeer as floor coverings, goat skins and a Thompson's gazelle as table cloths, a truly innumerable collection of rabbit hides for decor, crafting, and lining collars, as well as a coyote, fox, and lynx for Renn Faire/cosplay use. This reminds me I have a raw coyote hide in the freezer I've been meaning to throw out for at least a year.
The fossils, crystals, and minerals are strewn about the house and also still in boxes. See the "I suck at decorating" explanation.
EDIT: I forgot the dog collars too. The black dog has over 25 custom ones because I Have Problems.
29. what do you do when you’re sad?
How sad? Ranges from coloring to napping to self harm to drinking on my meds.
30. what’s one thing that never fails to make you happy/happier?
I'm not trying to be edgy or anything here but there's nothing that never fails. Such is the nature of depression and neurodivergence I suppose. I can typically count on the small cat climbing into my chest making me feel content, but there are overstimulation issues. Hiking or just generally being in the wilderness typically works wonders, but we saw how today went 🥲
31. are you messy or organised?
No one has ever accused me of being organized.
32. how many tabs do you have open right now?
Three!
33. any hobbies?
:heavy sigh: Yes? No? I've been battling the mental illness for a long time now and my hobbies have mostly died in that pursuit. I think the closest I actively do would be training and trialing the black dog.
(I used to sketch and paint, rock climb, train horses, keep plants/container garden, and intermittently wrote short stories and poetry in earlier years)

I NEED TO TAKE MY MEDICATION
I can't sleep, I need to go take my medication.
Walking downstairs im flooded by a million thoughts, none of which are legible enough to decipher, but they're all so loud.
...
I get downstairs and open the medicine cabinet, I pop the pill out of its sheet with a crack noise, one thats all too familiar.
...
pouring water into the glass I feel it getting heavier in my hands.
heavier and heavier and heavier...
...
I could drop it.
I could drop this glass right now and it would shatter.
It would shatter into a million pieces and there would be water all over the floor.
...
I could stomp on the broken shards, feel the cold glass break my skin and enter my foot.
I could scream and cry and bleed all over the floor.
my parents would finally ask me if I was ok, theyd finally be worried about me. but not for the reason I want them to. not for the reason I need them to.
...
the glass keeps getting heavier the more water I put in. it would be so easy to drop it right now.
...
but I need to take my medication.

Why's your current dnd character complicated? 👀
Okay lemme tell you a story
My character Morgan Copperlock is a dwarf bard. He had pretty bad stats to begin with, so the story is that he was a miner, hated it and wanted to be bard. He was a bad bard and a looser and a horny flirty type of bard, and he knew his flaws but still played into his bit.
Fake it till you make it, kind of guy
And guess what? He made it. The more and more the story went the better he became and the lovelier he became, and I Kid You Not, I wrote TWO poems (on Russian) about our adventures, as if he wrote it
I wrote actual poetry for a dnd character.
He has lovely friends, his best friend is a super cool mage and she seems to be super important part of a story, his other friend, he almost has a brotherly relationship with, because we headcanon all the dwarfs acting like they are cousins of some sort (there is a high chance they actually are XD), he slowly becoming a well known bard in area, and some jokingly call him legendary.
So what's the problem?
I hate playing as bard. That's just not my class. It took me a long time to find what I like to play as, and casters aren't That Thing. But I created him two years ago, before I knew that. And now I am stuck. I love him. DEARLY. But I also hate playing as him (aside of actual roleplay). And I can't change him!! I can't multiclass him nor change the class, he is what we call бард до мозга костей (rus. bard to the bones of brain = being a bard is his whole identity)
So I can't change him. And I can't just stop playing as him, he is a heart of our company both between players and characters

Howdy! I saw you were open to requests for letters. If it's not too late, I'd like to put in one.
I was thinking of a letter of advice for how to deal with imposter's syndrome. The persistent fear that you're leading people on to believe that you're better than you actually are. Smarter, stronger, kinder, nobler, prettier...you get the idea, I'm sure!
The fear that either people are going to figure you out or you mess up enough to give yourself away. The fear that whichever happens means the end for you.
Have you, Elliott, ever dealt with that? If so, what did you do about it?
As for who I am...you can call me Kame. A Taurus woman. My hobbies include agriculture, poetry, camping, crafting, and volunteer work. My likes? Turtles, plums, chocolate, romance, most minerals, most anything pertaining to nature--especially the sea. Dislikes? Iron, leather, meat, sarcasm, talking without speaking, hearing without listening, being broke, changes in plans, loneliness...and failure.
Hope this is enough. Thanks for your attention, friend! 💚🐢💚
To my beautiful Kame,
You are everything to me, and i will never know how I got so lucky to have someone like you in my life.
I know that you fear your accomplishments will be questioned, that your personality is not your own, that you think other's will claim you're not good enough.
My darling, my sweet Kame, believe me when I tell you this. Your accomplishments are well deserved. Your personality, your cute, adorable self that I fell in love with, no one could ever take that from you. You will always be good enough.
Please, don't push yourself so hard. Don't stress yourself out trying to be the best when you're already doing so well! You continue to impress me every day.
Remember that everyone makes mistakes, and it's okay for you to make your own. It can be very difficult to accept. Think of the last mistake you made, most likely something small like forgetting to dry the laundry, using the wrong color string in your cross stitch, biting into a sour plum that wasn't ready to be eaten. My love, have mistakes like this ever effected you hours? Days? Weeks? Months? Years?
Of course not! In the long run, we will all make mistakes. Maybe it won't be every day, or every week, or every month, or even every year; but they will happen and that's okay.
People are always so concerned about their own problems, they will never look at you and think that you're pretending. Once they get to know you, they'll see just how talented you are.
I adore you just the way you are. Please, don't let your thoughts ever tell you otherwise.

A bit of a self-indulgent ask here, but what are some of your favorite things about your Tavs and Durges? Parts of their design, personalities, little things of yourself you put into them etc? :3c
Uuuuuugh this is such a hard ask to answer because they’re my babies!!! I love so much about them so I’ll try to put things here that I haven’t had the chance to talk about anywhere else.
Putting it all under a cut because it's long
One thing I really like about Briar is her homebrew alcohol hobby, inspired by my real life experience with like four of my friends all getting into homebrewing mead at the same time. A lot of those meads were really good but some of them were uuuuuuhh. Questionable. The point being that I am now very familiar now with the funky microbial taste of partially successful homebrew experiments and I find it delightful imagining that my gross daughter likes that taste specifically.
There’s a BUNCH of myself in Molli because she’s literally a self insert but one aspect that makes me really happy that I never get to talk about it Molli’s brother, Kae! Inspired by my irl brother, Molli’s brother is a trans man who left their hometown they were both still teenagers. He shows up as Molli’s dream guardian, but Molli doesn’t recognize him because the last time she saw him was before his transition! I really like the wibbly wobbly psychic magic implied by the fact that her brother’s form is somehow in her head despite not having seen him like that yet. Molli meets back up with him in Act 3 because he’s working at for the Guild (I just got done playing through that section and I even used a hireling to have him in the party in game!). Something else I think is fun is that his name and his deadname are inspired by my brother’s names but in the opposite direction, so his name is inspired by my brother’s deadname and his deadname is inspired by my brother’s actual name (I ran this by him first and he agrees with me that it’s funny).
One of my favorite little details about Ferox is that he really loves poetry (which is NOT inspired by me at all I hate poetry tbh). He’s not good with words himself, but he really appreciates people who are. He likes to read or (even better) listen to poetry and just chew on the meaning of it or the interplay of the words and whatnot. He’s got a lot of thoughts about it but has a hard time articulating any of them. I think maybe in far off epilogue land I'll have him try his hand at composing his own.
This isn’t so much about Myrala as an oc but I’m excited to play her in game because I’m gonna dedicate myself to roleplaying the one handed thing in game. Like, no dual wielding, no two handed weapons, no long bows, stuff like that. It’s a small detail and probably won’t be toooo relevant since she’s a cleric BUT it makes me happy regardless.
If I’m gonna be perfectly honest one of my favorite details about Poppy is her full name – Porpentina Namethief. I had pulled the name Porpentina from the Harry Potter wiki (this was over ten years ago forgive me 😔) and felt completely Big Brain Moments when I thought of using Poppy as a nickname (imagine my disgust when terf supreme went with “Tina” instead. Even Penny would have been better! But I will die on the hill that Poppy is the clear best nickname for Porpentina.) And her last name is derived from some old homebrew dwarf lore that me and a friend came up with where there’s a dwarven city state thing where your last name is determined by a ceremony where babies are placed in a room with a bunch of metals and minerals and whatever the baby does determined not only their name but their position in society. Names like Goldbiter and Ironbanger and stuff like that. It's her mom's hometown, but Poppy, being raised outside of that city, never got her name there. She visited the city as an adult for a job and went out of her way to steal everything valuable from the naming chamber while she was there, earning her the moniker “Namethief”.
Thanks for the ask! Sorry it took me so long to answer!

Akira Kutsuki is my primary Dead By Daylight Survivor OC! He’s shipped with my favorite killer The Oni (Kazan Yamaoka), I mostly use him in online roleplay with my friend bc they play a very good Oni. But I think he’s so developed at this point that he could easily slot into the game itself.
Physical description: a thin, 35 year old, 5’7 Japanese man with shaggy overgrown hair, stubble. Usually wearing a rumbled white dress shirt and tie with a sweater vest and slacks. He wears glasses with rectangle frames, he has scars on his wrists from an attempted suicide attempted (more on that later.)
Personality: he’s an ADHD Autism mess, but somehow does exceedingly well under pressure. Very passionate about things and is incredibly talkative. Has no rizz, negative rizz, no bitches. Makes the best of his situation to try and learn everything he can about the fog. Workaholic. He has cool English teacher vibes
Lore: he is the descendant of the landlord that The Oni held a grunge with, his family always went into politics or some kind of leadership positions but he broke the mold and went into archeology. After he graduated college he decided to do some genealogy on his family, and found the story of Kazan Yamaoka (as well as poetry about him and his story.)
Most of the landlords back in those days were corrupt, and Samauri were basically like cops, and they were crooked and did awful things (basically Kazan’s purge had some merit to it, not that he was in the right in any way.) Akira learns that his so called “grand ancestor” wasn’t actually so grand. He also uncovers all the shady things that his family has done over the years, he confronts them about it and they tell him to keep his mouth shut about it. Enraged that history will simply repeat himself, and that his family hasn’t answered for crimes committed even back in the days of “The Oni.” He desecrates the family temple, graffitiing the walls and destroying everything he can.
He gets arrested, and his family disowns him. Disgraced, and with nothing left for him- he goes to America.
There he goes back to school and becomes a professor. Though he keeps his interest in the Yamaoka line, in the village where Kazan was “killed” he can find no body or no artifacts. The people there say that he became an ogre since the body seemed to vanish. The lack of a body drives Akira up the wall, the only thing he finds is a section of rope that has traces of some sort of…ash that is impossible to place.
Akira then looks into other historical disappearances, finding that when archeologists dug up the scene- they too found traces of this strange ash-like mineral scattered around. He becomes interested in this, all these disappearances around the world- seemingly random…all of them having this same trace material. All of these scenes having to do with great pain or violence.
He begins to connect them, learning the names and history of these “killers.” He finds newspaper reports that talk about this strange “black fog” or “ash” that surrounded the area of the missing body or scene. A colleague of his finds the notes of a Scotsman by the name of Talbot Grimes.
Then, Rin Yamaoka is murdered. Akira hears about it from a friend in Japan, and he mentions that there was a cloud of ash surrounding the apartment. Akira books the first flight to Japan and actually breaks into the crime scene to get a sample. While he’s there he realizes that these people aren’t just vanishing…they’ve all been taken somewhere.
Things begin to spiral out of control when he gets back, he begins having nightmares about being caught in a giant spider web. He reads more of Grime’s notes, confirming his theory. Akira then realizes that Grimes himself had gone insane, and fell off the face of the earth. Akira realizes that he was taken as well.
The nightmares get worse, so he stops sleeping. He begins to hallucinate spindly arms reaching down to grab him. He hears voice telling him that he knows too much. He locks himself into his apartment and doesn’t open the windows. He destroys all his notes and research in the hope that it will stop whatever is happening to him.
The entity comes for him anyway, and he locks himself into the bathroom and slits his wrists in the bathtub, hoping that death will claim him before the entity does. It doesn’t of course, and he wakes up in the fog.
Wow that was incredibly long sndjsixjsncjsj whoops. Anyway that’s Akira. He meets the Oni and is both terrified but also nerding the fuck out the whole time. Kazan finds him adorable and kind of pathetic and they hook up sncjsixjbsbc
