I watched Pathaan finally, it's been on my watch list for closing in on two years at this point. Basically since it came out. It was a big deal release and there are all sorts of extra textual reasons I wanted to see it that I won't get into here but it was a major realease for lots of reasons including the stars (it does star arguably the biggest star in all of India, even if his biggest era is behind him) but it isn't just because of the movie on screen. So I meant to but never got around to it largely because subtitles can be hard for me. I am dyslexic and it means if I am tired subtitles are right out and I am easily distracted so I try to do subtitles with friends so I don't wander off to get a drink and realize I don't know Hindi and thus do not know what happened while I was listening but not watching. So it kept slipping but I finally watched and part of it is I have forever seen pictures and gifs of Deepika Padukone in it and I saw some this week and they pushed me over the edge. I am the only person I know who liked the gifs as I am also the only person I know into Deepika Padukone. I have a notable follower who will argue with this, she is extremely pugnacious and quick to anger, but she hasn't posted Deepika Padukone in 26 months and has never seen a Deepika Padukone movie. Doesn't sound like someone who likes her. I like her though and I have to be honest, she was hotter than the gifs made her look in the movie. The movie itself was good disposable fun with the caveat that a lot of the things people make fun of or find strange in Indian cinema is what I am there for. The bigness, the dancing and singing, it's all for me. I love getting a full show and so Deepika Padukone playing a secret agent scientist who seduces bad guys (and good guys) while also doing flips and kicks and then eventually ending up in a tank top using a machine gun in a way I once would have described as very for the ladies if the ladies hadn't stopped being into her, well it's all silly but it's silly in a very 70's Bond movie way. I like those movies too. Does King Khan need a wind machine blowing his hair while he poses inside a warehouse where there can't possible be wind? No but it looks cool and he's awesome so I am down. That's my review I guess, if you want to see the bad guy and the good guy fight so hard it makes a house fall off a mountain you'll like this, if you think it's silly they guy a guys fingerprints from Deepika Padukone's legs then it might not be for you. I enjoyed it. She is hot as hell in it. Today I want to fuck Deepika Padukone.

Was too much biased with srk to not mention about the WOMEN of the movie.
They were fantastic, each and every one of them. I'd have actually wanted to see more of them. They all had a character that was not objectified, I mean in my limited South Indian movie journey, women are not given substance most of the time. And that's not what happened here and I loved it.
Also a single mother and a superior officer having a genuine (emotionally I do believe Azad and Narmada matched very well) relationship. That's a man.
God I love men when they love and celebrate women too.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE at the 3rd Annual Academy Museum Gala on December 3rd 2023 wearing LOUIS VUITTON
Deepika wears a lot of beautiful gowns. The thing about this dress that stood out the most was the color. I loved that the dress looked so bright in the light, but so dark as well. I don't think the shape was the best, but the color was so cool.

guys we gotta stop fan casting indian actors for the dornish. the inspiration for dorne was moorish spain and palestine so to see y'all cast indian bollywood actors seems hmmm idk kinda racist. like you cant just pool people of color together. that is way too common in hollywood and im sick of seeing people group poc together as if these ethnic groups are interchangeable.

Here is some Deepika Padukone to start your week and excuse me if this post isn't up to standard. I have one of those summer colds that isn't so bad but you know, it's not supposed to happen in the summer and it has worn me out. Anyway, this post is a bit of a celebration as I have been watching the Indian election with great interest. It has been a pleasant surprise as it is a rebuke of a slide into authoritarianism and something kind of nasty. That might get me blowback, I know most of my followers have no idea but I also know that Hindu Nationalists are everywhere on the internet. Go ahead and bring it, I cannot tell you how little I care. Anyway, when the world's largest democracy chooses democracy it is a good thing. Which leads to Deepika Padukone. I won't put any words or beliefs into her mouth, not my place, but last year she was in Pathaan which I saw. It was good, it was also seen as important because it was the return of King Khan and it did very well. Before it came out there was some worry it would not be as there was a big worry of cultural rejection because it was not towing the Hindu Nationalist line. See, Shah Rukh Khan is a Muslim. He also is one of the biggest stars in all of India, the King part wasn't sarcastic. The movie very notably, and it can't be an accident, stared a Muslim Star, a Hindu Star, and a Christian Star. Because Bollywood used to once be dedicated to Indian secularism and this was seen by many as a open rebuke of a cultural shift that was leading to intolerance. The movie did well, that was good. I saw it. I liked it fine. Deepika Padukone looked amazing in it if anyone is keeping track. Anyway, that's why she's here because I thought about that with the election news that came in last week and decided it's not like I need much of a reason to post her. Besides, I assume I am most people's #1 source for current events. Today I want to fuck Deepika Padukone.
