She's Lucretia's adopted younger sister and co-Rook! They also have an older brother (Augustus) and a younger brother (Marcus). Marcus is a soldier off riding elephants and loading catapults, while Augustus is a member of the Venatori and miniboss for the Mercar sisters' personal quest. One day, I'll get faceclaims and/or screenshots of the boys lmao

🥀 What figure from Rook’s personal past would be added to the regret prison?

Soooooo I was debating this one for a while, but I think... it would actually be Augustus. The personal quest involves him kidnapping Lucretia, and the horrible things that he says plus some personal revelations about their family that the girls had never talked about settles in her chest like a lump. The aftermath causes her a lot of grief, especially wrestling with what kind of man her brother "really was" ... and what she could have done for things to turn out differently. Eventually, she has to make peace with all of it: that he wasn't a monster, but when given opportunities to stop, he refused ... and she can't save anyone who refuses to change, no matter how much she wants to. Getting that sense of clarity in the Fade is her big motivating factor for the Act 3 shift from reason with/redeem Solas to trick/imprison Solas: she's done trying to debate people who think she's naive.
