Exit Strategies: Navigating the Process of Moving on From Your Business
Whether your business is losing out on sales, is taking up too much of your time or you’re just ready for a change, there might come a time when you want to move on.  But how do you do this?  When leaving behind a business venture, having an exit strategy is of the utmost importance. Not just selling or giving up control; planning the progression to another direction in your working life takes careful planning.
Here, we explore this process of transition and will outline steps you can take for an effortless yet successful changeover.
Understanding the Need for an Exit Strategy
At some point as a business owner, you will have to determine when it is time for you to leave your current venture behind and transition onto something else - for retirement purposes or seeking new opportunities - but having a well thought-out exit strategy in place should always form part of a sound long-term business plan.
Types of Exit Strategies
There are various ways you can conduct a swift and easy exit from your business.  You might pass it down to a family member or employee that you've spent time training for the role, or you might be more interested in merging with another firm - or simply liquefying your assets and keeping the profit.  The option you choose all depends on your personal situation and whether you'd like to remove yourself and your family from the business entirely or not.
Establishing a Succession Plan
If you spend time working on a comprehensive succession plan, you'll ensure that your business thrives even after you've departed.  So you need to consider and establish your potential successors, groom them to lead the company and then set a plan and timeline for your transition so everything will happen as smoothly as possible.
Navigating the Financial Landscape
When devising an exit strategy, it is imperative that you carefully navigate its financial terrain. Seeking advice from financial professionals will help you accurately value your business, while conducting due diligence allows you to identify any financial risks or liabilities which might erode its value.  Finally, identifying tax implications will optimize returns while mitigating unexpected financial burdens.
Legal Considerations and Seamless Transitions
Additionally to financial concerns, it's vitally important to address legal aspects when transitioning from your business. Speaking to legal professionals experienced with business transitions can provide crucial assistance with contracts and agreements as well as potential legal hurdles during this transition process - taking care of legal matters early can ensure a more seamless and expeditious journey ahead.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Open and direct communication is paramount when transitioning from your business. Employees, clients, suppliers and all other key players need to know of your plans for its future as soon as they arise - this helps establish trust while dispelling any uncertainties during transition time. By actively listening to stakeholders' concerns you can build a solid base upon which the ongoing success of the venture.
Handling the Emotional Journey
Deciding to move on from a business you have nurtured can be an emotional experience, so it is essential that you acknowledge all the mixed emotions associated with moving on: nostalgia, excitement and loss may arise simultaneously.
Take some time out for reflection - reflect upon all your accomplishments, impacts your company had made as well as relationships you formed along the way; celebrate success stories built and revel in exploring new passions or ventures knowing there are boundless opportunities ahead.
Finding and Exploring Opportunities
Before sailing away from your current business, it's essential to look ahead and consider any exciting prospects. For some entrepreneurs, moving on means purchasing another company altogether - selling off one can give you both financial resources and freedom for this process.  In fact, this process is made quite simple by contacting business brokers whether you’re looking at businesses for sell or if you want to sell your own.
Consider investing in another industry, purchasing established firms, or starting something entirely from scratch; keep yourself open-minded towards all possibilities as this new journey awaits! Remember your entrepreneurial spirit remains strong while the world holds untapped opportunities waiting just waiting out there waiting!
Conclusion
Deciding to move on from your business requires extensive thought, preparation and planning. By creating an exit strategy and understanding all available options as well as financial and legal requirements, you can tackle it confidently.  Here's to an exciting future as you embark upon new endeavors and say goodbye to past successes.

What Your Product Needs The Most? Hint: It’s Not Another Feature | by rachelle palmer | Dec, 2022
Product adoption is hard. In fact, it’s so hard and so mysterious that there are teams of people devoted to trying to figure it out. Information Literacy
According to the Alexandria Proclamation on Information Literacy and Lifelong Learning (2005):
“Information literacy empowers people in all walks of life to seek, evaluate, use and create information effectively to achieve their personal, social, occupational and educational goals. It is a basic human right in a digital world and promotes social inclusion in all nations.”
In a study of Uzwyshyn (2017) about Academic Libraries and Technology: An Environmental Scan Towards Future Possibility, he was able to create a framework in order to understand what is information literacy.

With the abundance of information available in all types of media, it is important for us to possess a great sense of information literacy to further validate the information that we get from different sources.

The ABCs of Emotions | Psychology Today Canada
The ABCs of Emotions | Psychology Today Canada
Source: absolutvision/Pixabay Many people think that thoughts and feelings are entirely separate things—that thoughts are products of the mind and emotions stem from the “heart,” or maybe the gut. This romanticized way of thinking about thoughts and feelings misses the mark, as thoughts and feelings are intimately linked, more like two sides of the same coin. Anger requires an object to be angry…

The American Press Vs. El Salvador: Forbes and Vice, Good Cop Bad Cop https://bitcoinist.com/the-american-press-vs-el-salvador-forbes-and-vice-good-cop-bad-cop/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-american-press-vs-el-salvador-forbes-and-vice-good-cop-bad-cop
Did El Salvador’s Bitcoin story lose steam? Perhaps. However, Forbes and Vice are on the case. The press is still monitoring the situation and Bitcoinist is still monitoring the press. With that dynamic in mind, we compiled the best and worse of the latest press coverage of El Salvador’s Bitcoin Law. You’ll be offended. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

What did the American Press say about El Salvador? Let’s find out.
Forbes Goes Didactic And Teaches History
The most wholesome article of the lot is Forbes’ “An Economic History Of El Salvador’s Adoption Of Bitcoin.” It goes back in time and teaches the reader about the different currencies that the Central American nation has used over the years. A recent major milestone is the Dollarization of their economy, which “was a proactive decision that wasn’t driven by a crisis per say, but rather to juice the domestic economy.”
Then, Forbes gets down to business. Bitcoin appears and the world shakes:
When dollarization was proposed, the small size of El Salvador’s economy meant that it got a passing complement from the US Treasury Secretary at the time (Lawrence Summers) and a neutral acknowledgement from the Federal Reserve. Yet now that it is embracing bitcoin, a new standard, in much the same way it went around implementing the US dollar, it is attracting the ire of all of the institutions devoted to the international financial system, from the World Bank to the IMF.
Even though Forbes seems to be on Bitcoins’ side, the tone of the article is one of alarm. They’re worried that the Dollar will lose its influence in the region. They suspect that El Salvador is getting rid of Dollarization in a round-about way. In any case, near the end, the article goes for the kill and makes a very poignant observation:
El Salvador’s adoption of bitcoin shows the intersect of economics and politics, how domestic politics shape groups and individuals towards policy outcomes that can affect the world, and how Latin America has started to chip away at a financial system that doesn’t work well for the region.

Vice Shows Its Real Colors
To the untrained eye, Vice’s pro-Bitcoin. However, they take the most disgusting article award. Their “Crypto-Colonialists Use the Most Vulnerable People in the World as Guinea Pigs” is about some very questionable projects doing very questionable things. It’s not about Bitcoin Beach. In fact, is not about Bitcoin at all. Nevertheless, the picture Vice uses for it is from El Zonte’s Hope House and they embedded this journalistic report that we already broke down.
Related Reading | Bitcoin In Midst of “Losing Some Steam” as Crucial Support Levels Near
After making the public psychologically associate Bitcoin Beach with the most scammy projects that the world has ever seen, they finally mention it:
This is where projects like Bitcoin Beach become problematic: private, pro-crypto foreign interests are testing an economic model via a non-profit organization in one of the poorest nations in Central America. “The international community are using the most vulnerable people as their guinea pigs,” says Howson. “Every time you spend money and move around and use a taxi, everything goes on a blockchain.”
Please note that Howson is not talking about Bitcoin Beach specifically, but Vice incorporated the quote there to make it seem that way. It’s also worth noting that “pro-crypto” and “pro-Bitcoin” are not synonyms, but Vice might genuinely not know that. Everything else, they did on purpose.

Tumblr media
I have a vision of this documentary being like a trailer for my FMP I want to include different abortion stories to do this I reached out to Shout Your Abortion to see if I could feature some of the stories posted on their website and they said they’ll contact the authors. I have also reached out to people on Facebook to see if they would want to share theirs as well and I said it can be anonymous.
I thought about having a classmate read the stories and at some point distraught the voices in editing to create an effect and to make the audience think about what these women went through. And for the video I’m thinking about having it be all archived footage of abortion related protests and have it through the years i got the inspiration to feature the archived footage from watching a news report on the legalization of abortion in Argentina. And in between different clips I could have photos of protest photos flash from pro choice and pro life protesters.
The trailer would be around 3-4 minutes depending on the length of the stories. I want this documentary to start a conversation where people can feel comfortable to talk about abortion openly because there is a stigma/taboo around the subject. Even at eighteen I haven’t felt comfortable to tell my family what my documentary is about. I wanted to do this as a trailer because the topic is so big I don’t want to have to limit the content so in my FMP I will dive into the history for example back street abortions to really show how far society has come and much more.

How Do We Decipher Legitimate Journalism vs. Fake News?
Tumblr media
Now more than ever, it’s become increasingly difficult to figure out which news sources are credible or unbiased. Some of the most watched news channels include Fox News, CNN and NBC. Yet if you were to watch all of them, it’s likely you will receive different information from each one. Generally, Fox News is more conservative, whereas CNN is more liberal. Therefore, if you support a particular party, you’re more likely to watch the news channel that caters to your beliefs.
Fake news can be incredibly damaging to both the reporter’s reputation and the person hearing it. There was an example of this in which nearly 800 people died from ingesting harsh chemicals to disinfect themselves from Covid-19 because of false information about the Coronavirus. What’s especially dangerous is the fact that our own leaders in the White House are massive spreaders of fake news online. In a recent study conducted by Cornell University, Trump is the single largest source of misinformation regarding Covid-19; he accounts for 38% of false information about the pandemic.
Who are the American people supposed to believe if we can’t even trust the President of the United States to provide us with credible information?
