for Hibi and Suzka: 2. Is your OC a loner or a social butterfly? Are they satisfied with how they come across to other people?

for just Suzka: 10. Is your OC sentimental or pragmatic? Do they keep mementos or only what they need to survive? Have they always been this way or did something happen to make them change?

Hibi and Yoan: 15. What places hold significant meaning or memories for your OC? Do they have a positive or negative association with those places?

for Alim: 5. Does your OC have a signature weapon and/or attack? How long did they train to master it?

2) Suzka is THE social butterfly of the group. she's very talkative and charismatic, and she likes meeting new people, which made her pretty popular in school. she knows how to talk to people and doesn't mind the attention.

Hibi would be more of a loner. because of his social anxiety and past bullying, he quickly becomes uncomfortable in crowds or around new people, especially if he's alone. he prefers being with friends and family.

10) she's very sentimental, if you offer her something she will keep it forever, even something as silly as a branch you snuck in her hair. she's always been that way, collecting trinkets here and there. for a bad period in her life Suzka would hide all these mementos, but quickly started displaying the good ones as she realized they made her feel better.

15) for Hibi it's a field hidden in the forest he lived in. It is full of high grass and wild flowers, and at night it is filled with fireflies. it brings both happy and sad memories, as it is a place his parents would bring him to when he was feeling down.

for Yoan it's the treehouse at his grandparents' farm. he had helped his grandpa build it when he was young, and it has always been a safe place where he is free to be. it's a very precious place to him, he has only let 4 people in his treehouse : his grandparents, Hibi and Suzka.

5) whether he uses his swords or his bare hands, Alim almost always pair them with fire magic, and when needed earth magic. he spent 8 years training with his mentor until he realized he was strong enough to surpass him. because of the intensive training his mentor forced on him, it has left permanent scars on him.

Logan wasn’t sure how he had even ended up there. He must have taken a wrong turn, or three, and instead of finding his PR team had ended up–

Well, he definitely wasn’t supposed to end up where he was. And yet, just around the corner, he could hear two voices speaking in hushed, intimate tones.

“…and you sent Blanca my love, right?”

“Of course.”

He should have left. Immediately. The second he heard Carlos and Lando and no one else, he should have fucked off. But some awful, possibly romantic part of him wanted to know. He thought he knew, but he didn’t know. And there was some code of honor that kept the other drivers from confirming the situation, even though Logan was pretty fucking certain that Alex of all people knew. And while he respected the importance of privacy, he didn’t respect it more than his own curiosity.

So, he stood there, back pressed against a wall, pretending he wasn’t doing something horribly shady. And he eavesdropped on Carlos and Lando, who were a little way down the other corridor.

“I couldn’t get back to Flo, but I think mum’s gonna call you later.”

“Oh, mamá wants to FaceTime right now!”

“Right now?” Lando laughed, and it was a different laugh than Logan had ever heard from him. It was full of lightness and genuine joy. “We don’t have much time!”

“I know. She will understand.”

They could mean time until they had to get back to their various interviews.

“Yeah, but I feel bad.”

“Don’t,” Carlos said, and Logan heard a shuffle. “She knows we need our time, mi vida. She knows I need you.”

Oh. Damn.

“Gross.”

“Ay, that’s not what I meant!”

“It isn’t?”

Silence. Logan steeled himself and indulged a peek, just the barest peek, around the corner.

Oh. Damn.

Well, there was nothing ambiguous in the way they were kissing, Carlos’ body pressing Lando against the wall, his arms wrapped tight around Lando, Lando’s arms even tighter around Carlos. The kiss was deep but chaste, lingering instead of passionate. It was– cute. It was a cute kiss.

When they pulled back, Carlos had his forehead against Lando’s still. They smiled, eyes closed, basking.

Damn it. They were cute.

“Okay, it is a little what I meant,” Carlos said finally, sheepishness in his voice. Lando snorted, but his body language, the blush across his face, the way his fingers played with the curls at the nape of Carlos’ neck, belied the derision.

“I’m your husband,” Lando clipped, and Logan nearly choked. “I think I know what you meant.”

Oh. Damn.

Logan only needed to see the way Carlos’ fingers clenched in Lando’s fireproofs to know that he should definitely stop looking.

“Yes. You are. Mi esposo. Mi amado. Mi Lando,” Carlos whispered, his voice suddenly different. Lando let out a breathy exhale, and whispered something back that Logan couldn’t quite catch. Carlos groaned and–

Yep, that was Logan’s cue to retreat. As quickly and quietly as he could, Logan fled the way he should have before he started snooping. But at least now he knew for sure.

“Hey, you lost?”

Logan froze. A little further away from where Carlos and Lando were, there was an alcove Logan hadn’t seen. And in that alcove was Carlos’ trainer, who was looking at Logan with a face he could only describe as pleasant but with an edge.

Shit.

“Yeah, I am, actually,” Logan said, not lying. “I took a few wrong turns.”

“Happens,” Carlos’ trainer—whose name escaped Logan—chirped. “Bit down that way, on your left. Stick to the left. Yeah?”

“Yeah,” Logan said quickly, and then even more quickly, “thanks.”

Before he could continue on his way, the trainer said, almost too casually, “Did you see anything?”

Logan paused.

“No,” he said. “Not a thing.”

The trainer nodded, his smile wide enough to quirk his ears. “Glad to hear it. Take care!”

So Logan finally fled, unimpeded, his heart racing. Maybe his curiosity wasn’t worth the feeling of being threatened by an incredibly pleasant man, but at least he knew now.

And at least he knew Carlos and Lando were well-protected.

em your brain is sooooo big and youre so right lets talk about it. as someone from madrid (been here my whole life) trust me when i say that anyone who goes to the british council school here comes out with a very fluent british accent. if you ask a spanish person (esp in madrid) to speak english to you, youll immediately be able to tell if they went to a public/private spanish school (they have the typical spanish accent) or if they went to "el british council" as we call it (which youll have a british accent). so im genuinely interested to know if carlos deliberately chooses to make his accent more spanish in certain situations (its a very easy accent to imitate, hence it renders itself susceptible to very good impressions). i could genuinely write an essay about this i think, just analysing when he chooses to talk in certain ways its just so fascinating

KISS. genuinely thank you for the background - I assumed this based on most people adopting the accent they're taught second languages in but obviously didn't KNOW. and it makes it crazier honestly? like that everyone around him would've dropped the accent?! if he just spoke english as a second language I'd have nothing to say on this whatsoever, but going to a british council school and retaining your native LOCAL (!!!!!) accent in the second language but also being able to modify and drop it like he can? that's insane. like it absolutely indicates to me that it's a choice. also, I do think you can tell he's been educated in english - he has a big vocabulary and speaks really fluidly and easily, but again the heavy accent throws people off. idk it's really interesting.

I also think his default accent in english is the more spanish one - like, his radio messages are sometimes genuinely incomprehensible, and I don't think it's just the poor audio quality - I think the accent sometimes makes it hard to understand on first listen, especially when you don't have context as to what he's talking about. like... when the way he speaks isn't his primary focus, that's probably gonna be the more 'natural' accent.

++ re: impressions - I think he speaks english more slowly than a lot of spanish people, and the madrid accent seems to be less... idk. difficult for a native english speaker to copy? like, for ease of comparison - alonso sounds like he speaks with the front of his mouth. it's very light, he rolls every r but with the tip of his tongue, sounds kinda 'typically' spanish. and they're broadly difficult sounds for a native english speaker to imitate, right? but carlos sounds like he uses his whole mouth. he pronounces more of every word. all of which probably makes copying it easier? idk! obsessed!
