Cassie: Kate, don't you think you've had enough to drink?
Kate: I'm just helping the kids.
Cassie: How is you drinking helping the kids?
Kate: Because the more I drink, the less there is for the kids to drink.

Support is what friends are for || Cassie & Tommy
Being a hero had made Cassie fairly cocky- not that she hadn't been already, but being able to grow twenty stories high had really taken away most of the fear a lot of younger women had felt when walking the darker streets of new york at one in the morning.
Absentmindedly texting on her phone, she almost didn't notice the group of men that had begun trailing her.
"Cassie Lang?" One said, and she turned her head- stopping for a moment.
"Do I know you?" She asks, but the group of men only started laughing.
"I told you it was her!"
"Dads Ant-man, right? Literally the worst Avenger ever?" Once they had started discussing that /all/ the Avengers were the worst, it was clear what kind of people they were. Senator Kelly fans. Anti-hero supporters. Overall idiots. Ignoring them, she turned on her heel and continued her trek home.
Of course, they weren't that easy to get rid of. They moved closer, walking behind her.
"Aw? Not gonna defend your daddy?" One taunted, and she rolled her eyes, continuing to scroll through her Phone.
"Things were so much better before freaks in spandex had begun running around here. We'd all be better off without them. We wouldn't have any of the kind of problems we do in the city  if they'd all be thrown in jail."
Cassie couldn't help but snort, "Good luck next time we get attacked by fucking aliens, again." She says, bitterly as she keeps her attention on the screen.
"There'd be no fucking aliens if they weren't here." She didn't answer and the lack of reaction pissed him off. "Can't fight those facts, can you?" He continues on as she remained silent.
"All in jail. All of them," He repeats. "Especially your /deadbeat/, /pathetic/, /criminal/ excuse of a Father." Cassie's fist clenched, hard enough to force her nails to draw blood from her palm.
Oh, this was going to be so stupid in hindsight.
She didn't hesitate after that, immediately turning around and punching him hard enough she could feel the pain spread through her knuckles, but it didn't matter as she tackled him to the ground, poised to punch him again only to be pulled off. He restrained her as one of the others helped the man back up- the guy wiping blood from his busted lip
"Don't talk abou-" But she didn't get to finished when the he took the opportunity to punch her in the face, not pausing before he punched her again and then again in the stomach. Adrenaline started to flow intensely now. Even dazed and winded, Cassie's training kicked in. The hero used the guy holding her as leverage to bring both her legs up to kick the man straight in the chest. The momentum of the move knocking her capture off balance, sending both of them falling to the ground. She scrambled away from him, quick to get on her feet- dodging the one that tried to prevent her from leaving. Cassie ran as fast as she could, hearing the hard footsteps of the group behind her. She didn't know where she was going but lucky for her- she was faster than the lot of them.
The next alley she saw she quickly turned down- now out of sight, she shrunk to hide from the group. It had apparently worked, as she watched them dart down the alley in vague confusion. When she couldn't hear them anymore, she grew back to normal height.
Breathing still panicked, Cassie tried to calm herself down. Ignoring the all too familar feeling of bruises forming, she wiped the blood from her nose as her shaking hands pulled out her phone. The only thing on her mind was getting out of here as fast as possible.
Clicking Tommy's text screen, her words were misspelled and rushed but she didn't care. There were barley details, just that she was hurt and needed help. Her location. Specifically leaving out that she was scared, that being too much of a hit on her pride to admit.

Haters gonna hate. || Kate & Cassie
It’d been a great night. Dawning their costumes, Cassie and Kate had decided it was time for some girls only patrolling- which totally wasn’t a cover up to gossip about their other teammates and boys, not at all. Who would even think that.
The young hero loved every second of it- she couldn’t think of anything better to do with her best friend than kick ass together. In the most literally, literal way that ever existed. (Not to mention in the most metaphorically, metaphorical way, too.)
A little lazy after helping Kate stop a robbery at some high profile jewelry store, Cassie remained only a few inches tall- just so she could take the opportunity to ride on Kate’s shoulder as they made their way down the street. Sure, maybe it was annoying- but, hey, you’d take the chance if you could shrink, too!
“I dunno, the second robber was kind of cute, tbh. Though, he’s gotta return that hair style back to the 1980s if he want’s to have any chance wooing the court during his trial.” She says with a small laugh by Kate’s ear.
“Hey, hey. Isn’t that hawk-girl, or whatever?” A man had asked his friend while sitting on one of the outside bar patios, nudging him up as they called after them.
“Can you imagine if we got a pic giving her a black eye? I bet even senator Kelly would would retweet it.”
“I don’t know..she’s still a girl,” His friend had answered- but he didn’t wait.
“Hey. /Hawk-girl,/ get back here!” He yells now, half inebriated and clearly angry. At 6'4 and surely over 200 pounds, he had zero fear of approaching the girl dressed in purple spandex. Cassie had turned her head, but didn’t do anything. Mostly because this fool decided to make the mistake of calling Kate anything other than Hawkeye.

Cassie only stuck her tongue out in response to 'needing better friends', but was soon right by his side, slipping her arm around his to lock their elbows together as they headed out the door.
"Bye, Antony!" The ant's head perked up once in their direction, wiggling his antennas before continuing to munch on a bag of chips someone had left open.
"Ah, yes, I only worry because you have the track record of getting me the most expensive gifts. Not because I love you and don't want to see you- or anyone in the tower, my father included, getting hurt. The worlds not ready for the vendetta I would have, Uncle Tony. So you better be careful." She tried to tease back, even if it was more truth than joke.  Again, she used food to change the subject.
"I only 'hated' it because it would make you mad, 'cause I knew you knew I liked it. How could I ever hate a place with noodles that looked like worms!" A true testament to her reasoning as a child, she was always one for 'gross' factors, especially in her earlier years.
Cassie used her free hand to pull out her phone, one handedly texting Kate about what she was doing right now.
"Anyway, hows Pepper? I haven't seen her since I got back, either." She hummed, thoughtfully, unaware the two's relationship had been over for months now.

"Well, don't give up. Sometimes it takes a couple days. They don't want to seem too eager. Gotta play hard to get at first or else how are they going to know you're really interested?" Cassie tried to joke optimistically, not even bothering to pick up the menu. Tommy's job situation had been on her mind since he opened up about it and like any good friend she had been raking her brain for ways to help him out.
"But..I know this lady, Mrs.Abbadelli, who owns this pizza place on 31st..She's really nice. I was thinking about how she helped my dad out when he was having job problems and maybe it'd be worth a shot?" She offered, before looking mildly offended.
"Cassquatch?" She laughed wholeheartedly at the nickname, "Pretty good. But I'll have you know my shoe size is a petite 5, thank you very much." Cassie kicked him playfully under the table as proof of the fact.
"It's been fun! It's....just so much better than living with my mom and Blake." The stress on the statement was clear, even if she hadn't meant it to be. But being able to use her powers and feel like herself again was something Cassie wouldn't trade for the world.
That didn't mean she had no complaints, though.
"Well...Kate can get kind of carried away sometimes...Like- God! Tommy! I've never had so many hang overs in my entire life!" She threw her arms up dramatically before laying her head on the table. Living with Kate meant that having to be 21 was thrown out the window, but with that came the price of commitment when they decided to party and nobody partied harder than the cooler Hawkeye.
Cassie played up being 'exasperated' by it even if it was clear she thought it was fun, her head only shooting back up when the waitress came back with her pad and pen in hand.
"I'll have the choose your own breakfeast. Eggs- sunny side up, two orders of bacon, sausage annnd I'll do waffles with it today." Cassie had gotten into the habit of ordering more food than she really needed when hanging with Tommy- seeing as the sneak usually used his powers to steal something off her plate at some point. Not that she really minded, knowing Tommy's metabolism Cassie liked making sure he ate his fill (and then some.)
"Then, whatever this precious child over here would like." She joked, gesturing to the Speedster with a wink
