Centered Upon God - - - Dallas Willard
A key distinction of a child of light is found in the condition of their thought life. Therefore, it is essential that our initial investigation of our inner life centers on what we think about, or what is on our mind. Simply stated, children of light think about God. He is never out of their mind. They love to dwell upon God and upon his greatness and loveliness, as brought to light in Jesus…

“The entire Christian life is a holy pilgrimage for each of us, in which we travel and strive to draw closer to Jesus Christ and His Truth. He is the One who calls us all to leave behind the daily routine and walk the path of holiness…”

Jesus does not want you to put Him at the top of your list of things to do for the day. He does not want you to check off your time with Him like you would check off items on a grocery list or a list of household chores. Jesus wants to be the center of your life. He wants everything else in your life to flow through your relationship with Him. This is totally different from just being part of a to-do list. If you were to view your spouse or friend as only a checkmark on your list, the relationship would not last for long. Your relationship with Jesus is no different.

It is not enough to hear of Christ, or read of Christ; but this is the thing – to feel him my root, my life, my foundation and my soul ingrafted into him, by him who hath power to ingraft. To feel repentance given me by him, faith given me by him, the Father revealed and made known to me by him, by the pure shinings of his light in my heart.
Isaac Penington, early Quaker, 1670

Happy Halloween! Trick or treat?
Hee hoo thanks for the ask, anon! Happy Halloween :3 A silly supernatural jaytim 3 sentence paragraph (lol) fic for you:
"For the last time, I am not getting in the damn coffin with you," Jason huffs.
Tim leans out over the polished wood and satin lining, his fangs flashing as he pouts, winding his arms lazily around Jason's neck and burying his fingertips in Jason's hair-- because he's a dirty cheater and he knows that Jason's willpower is brittle as old bone this close to the full moon. He resolves to stay strong, because if you give Tim an inch then he'll take the whole damn continent.
"You don't have to, I suppose," Tim sighs, red eyes flashing from under his eyelashes. "I'll just be here...cold. Lonely. Wanting." He breathes the words against Jason's lips, and Jason whines. Christ. The things he does for this bloodsucker.

New Creations in Christ
This means that our knowledge of men can no longer be based on their outward lives (indeed, even though we knew Christ as a man we do not know him like that any longer). For if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether—the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new. All this is God’s doing, for he has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ; and he has made us agents of the reconciliation. God was in Christ personally reconciling the world to himself—not counting their sins against them—and has commissioned us with the message of reconciliation. We are now Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were appealing direct to you through us. As his personal representatives we say, “Make your peace with God.” For God caused Christ, who himself knew nothing of sin, actually to be sin for our sakes, so that in Christ we might be made good with the goodness of God. — 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 | J.B. 2024 APRIL 01 Easter Monday
"I bless the LORD who counsels me; even in the night my heart exhorts me. I set the LORD ever before me; with Him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.
Therefore my heart is glad and my soul rejoices, my body, too, abides in confidence because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld, nor will you suffer your faithful one to undergo corruption.
You will show me the path to life, fullness of joys in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever."
~ Psalms 16:7-11

...There is always hope in Christ, and I have discovered that in Him is the only place you can find real peace in this life. It starts with Him and is always about Him. When we approach any topic from His vantage point, we gain eternal perspective from a God who is beyond anything we can imagine [and Who we can trust unconditionally]... When I abide in Christ, I have access to a peace that the world simply cannot offer... When I have peace with God, it will produce the peace of God. This peace... is a fruit of abiding in Christ. It does not come any other way.
