She was raised in a household with insufficient funds for hardly any medical assistance, relying on the urgent care that she and her brothers would drive their pick-up through the snow mounts to reach when one of them developed a cold, or worse — scarlet fever. So, you could imagine how destitute they were when it concerned mental health. Which is what prompted her to take the stranger she befriended up on his offer, stepping in through the threshold on the first of what was supposed to be the merriest month of the year. Admittedly, she had stalled the occasion, using Halloween as a crutch to why she didn't appear for so long. "... Hello?" she spoke up, adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder as she awkwardly shuffled in place. "It's Nadine. Castellanos."

emmeline was drunk and dancing to every little beat that she could get. however, she appeared to be connecting with people, probably trying too hard but it was happening and it made her feel so alive. the woman would down her drink and then start dancing with someone she didn't know, to never see them again and do exactly the same with another person. it didn't matter if she didn't know the song because she;d figure out the rhythm and engage effectively. it's in one head movement where she finally clocks her colleague - it's the first time she's ever seen him outside of work and that is somewhat exciting. "abhi! abhinav!" the woman shouted as she made her way towards the other in her intoxicated state. "it's so good to see you, oh my god!" she laughed and then wrapped her arms around him. "it's so good to see you." she repeated and then pulled away. "are you enjoying yourself? i should get you a drink."
