Yes, it’s because in Season 1, Big James was actually played by two different actors!

Shayan Sobhian was Big James in the first four episodes of season 1, and then Kian Kavousi was Big James for the rest of the season (aka the fishing boat miracle scene)

Abe Bueno-Jallad (beloved) came to the show in season 2, and has been Big James since then! I don’t know why there were three separate actors, but Abe is definitely my favorite of the three, and has fit perfectly with the rest of the cast, especially with George! The two of them are just the perfect Sons of Thunder!

Oh I'd never thought of that but it's perfect. They're in different sticks, and the brass knuckles are a parting gift, like the worst kind of sweetheart token. Arthur wraps Joe's hands around them and tells him to give them hell. Joe says 'see you down there', and Arthur can't bring himself to say anything in return.
