King Abdullah II & Queen Rania host an official dinner banquet at Al Husseiniya Palace on the occasion of the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein & Princess Rajwa on 1 June 2023. The dinner banquet saw the attendance of members of the Royal Family, members of Alseif family, as well as leaders and royals from friendly countries.

Iraq President Abdul Latif Rashid and his wife, Shanaz, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah of Malaysia and his wife Queen Azizah Aminah, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife Queen Máxima, and King Philippe of the Belgians and his daughter Crown Princess Elisabeth attended the banquet. In addition, Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, Denmark Crown Prince Frederik, Sweden Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Norway Crown Prince Hakoon were also in attendance.

The attendees additionally included Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the minister of culture, sports and youth of Oman, and Prince Mateen bin Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq Masrour Barzani, Rwanda President Paul Kagame, United States’ First Lady Jill Biden, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser of Qatar, and Princess Hisako and Tsuguko of Japan attended the banquet as well.

7 November 2022: King Abdullah, accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein, held meetings with a number of heads of state and government attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) hosted by Egypt in Sharm El Sheikh.

He met with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Iraq President Abdul Latif Rashid, Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati. His Majesty also met with Poland President Andrzej Duda, Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Spain Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Czech Republic Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Discussions at the meetings covered Jordan’s ties with these countries and means to expand them across various sectors. The meetings also addressed the latest regional and international developments, and the importance of maintaining coordination and cooperation to counter shared challenges. Discussions touched on the need to reach political solutions to crises in the region, especially the two-state solution to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The importance of addressing the ongoing implications of the Syrian crisis and the needs of refugees, efforts to counter terrorism within a holistic approach, and the need to cooperate to deal with the ramifications of international crises on food and energy security were also discussed.
