Maharashtra School Molestation News Updates: Angry dad and mom of faculty children and locals stage big protest at Badlapur railway station in Maharashtra’s Thane district after women have been allegedly sexually abused via an attendant appointed by the school authorities. Thousands of indignant parents and neighborhood residents blocked the route of trains to draw the attention of the management towards their demands.
Due to the protests, motion of trains on up and down routes has been affected given that around eight am. On August 17, police arrested a college attendant for abusing two girls, aged three and 4, studying in kindergarten. According to the criticism, he abused the women in the faculty lavatory.
Taking cognizance of the incident, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that he has directed the police to register a case of attempt to rape against the accused. He also said that the case will be heard expeditiously and a special public prosecutor will be appointed for the case. Meanwhile, Shinde’s deputy Devendra Fadnavis said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Inspector General Aarti Singh will investigate the incident.
The girls told their parents that the attendant had touched them inappropriately, following which the parents had to go to the police station and file a complaint against him. The police later registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, which led to his arrest.
