Household 24 - Europa and Gemini host a party

As Aliens believe community is very important, hosting parties is a regular event in each Alien household.

"Not too many of the Desert Valley Aliens," Lysander commented as he arrived.

"No. We'll try again. But Belinda is here!"

Belinda was chatting with Skye, the head of the community. Everyone knew Belinda was struggling the most with Athena's passing. Europa missed her sibling dearly, but loss was not so unfamiliar for Aliens.

Indeed, a few Alien-friendly Sims were in attendance as well as Belinda, including Justin Davis who was the father of twin Aliens from an abduction, and Pilar Lopez, who was a friend of Belinda's.

Everyone was having a great time. Helo trounced Aaricia playing video games and was ready for the next challenger.

"I'm up for the challenge," Caelum called from the kitchen.

"Can I play?" Hathor asked.

"Soon, but I think Ares wanted a turn too," Lysander told his niece. "Where did he get to?"

"Hathor can play next. Ares went to bed," Help told his uncle.

"To bed? But it isn't even my bedtime!" Hathor was very surprised.

Meanwhile, Europa was making a great effort as host to make Ronan feel comfortable... and perhaps wasn't really paying attention to the rest of the guests.

The most dramatic thing, which I am still not over, was when Andrew Hunt set fire to his kitchen while writing his final exam.

Andrew Hunt was the heir in Huntsville. He was the desperately wanted first son of Aaron and Alicia Hunt, their fourth child and their last. Both his parents had died by the time he went to university.

Once he finished university, he was to move back to the family estate and marry his fiancee, Hannah Henderson. They would have had babies and carried on the Hunt family responsibilities.

Instead, he perished in that fire.

His Uncle Quinten had to step in to oversee the responsibilities of the family as a sort of Regent. He and his sons had all sworn oaths to Andrew not try to become the heir, which left the position vacant.

Ryan, the elder son, refused to assist. He never wanted family responsibilities, instead becoming a rockstar.

So Cole, suffering from the loss of his best friend Andrew and still devastated after his wife, Aaricia, drowned while pregnant, knew he had to father the next heir. It didn't help when he was abducted by aliens, and gave birth to a green-skinned, black-eyed daughter, whom he named Aaricia to honour his late wife.

Cole and Hannah Henderson bonded over their mutual grief and ended up marrying and having 6 children, Matthew, Archer and Margery, and Edward, Olivia and William. Matthew was to be the heir when he came of age.

Then Ryan unexpectedly decided to marry. Charlotte Miller wooed him from his philandering ways and was much younger. While he swore not to have children, accidents are always possible.

The legacy remained uncertain until Ryan died, still biologically childless (he and Charlotte had adopted a daughter, Karla) and Matthew came of age as Heir.

Ooof. I am still not over Andrew's unexpected death.

Huntsville Revived #424

Hathor loved that the Alien community was growing. Of course, there were lots of humans in her life - her Nanny, her teacher, and some family friends - but she just felt more comfortable around other Aliens.

Aphrodite hosted a party for the community, including many of the newer members.

“Everyone, meet Twinklemoon, the best womrat to have ever lived!” Hathor announced, holding up her friend.

“She’s lovely,” Lysander commented.

Everyone else was pretty involved in watching Aaricia race Ares in a video game.

“You think you’re faster than me? I have years of experience,” Aaricia crowed as she ended up winning.

“I’ll beat you next time.” Ares was of course a little disappointed, but the challenge just meant he had to try harder next time.

Aphrodite and Europa settled in the games room to a game of Mahjong. 

Peter and Gemini contemplated joining, but then couldn’t seem to keep their hands off each other long enough to sit down.

Aphrodite was only a little jealous Peter had actually chosen Gemini - after all, it wasn’t like she intended to choose him. But still, a little jealous.

Barish and Finn joined them instead.

Aphrodite was impressed. Finn was following through on his promise not only to get to know his daughter, but to get to know her community as well. Aphrodite’s community. His divorce was finalized and he was figuring out his new life.

“Sisko, have you met my boyfriend, Peter, yet?” Gemini asked. She couldn’t help but giggle - she’d never actually had a boyfriend before. When she had Thomas had been seeing each other, he had already been married to Harmony. 

“Nice to meet you,” Sisko said politely. Clearly the relationship was new, since the pair barely had the ability to acknowledge him. He left them to their happiness.

Belinda had retreated to Aphrodite’s bedroom to hang out with Aaricia.

She still wasn’t handing large crowds well, especially Alien ones. She refused to give up her connection to these friends who were like family, but the more Aliens around, the more she felt the absence of Athena.

While getting to know the new Aliens was a big priority, Skye wasn’t going to let those who had lived her for so long feel neglected. She threw a small gathering.

“Hello Lysander, I thought I would check in with you. What are your thoughts on inviting Peter? [...] So you think I should invite him and not Aphrodite? [...] Well, I’ll let her know, since she’s got plans anyway. Thanks.” Peter’s romancing of the two sisters continued to be the biggest source of drama for the community.

Aaricia and Lysander, the newly weds, were pretty much still on their honeymoon. And Sorren and Lauren couldn’t keep their hands off each other for 5 minutes. Skye wondered when her brother would get around to proposing.

“Sometimes I think we need to respond as we would to a fire alarm, and dump a bucket of water on both their heads,” Europa joked.

“On Aaricia and Lysander, or on Sorren and Lauren?” Charlotte wondered.

“Athena would have been over the moon to be able to vote.” Belinda had been in as much shock as the rest of the Alien community when that had happened.

“It will keep Mayor Hogan in power. There are enough of us resident here to counter the dwindling population of Anti-Alien jerks,” Lauren pointed out. She was pleased, but would not ignore the reasoning behind the choice was as much about what was right as what was politically expedient.

“It opens to doors for us to be able to run. Can you imagine, an Alien mayor?” Sorren asked.

“Maybe one day,” Lauren replied wistfully.

“I’m so glad you dropped by, Belinda. Are you sure you don’t want to stay?”

“No. It’s still harder than I can manage for long. Surrounded by all of you, I keep expecting Athena to walk in from the other room and then I remember that they are gone.” Belinda wasn’t crying herself to sleep anymore, but the grief was still very deep.

“If there’s anything we can do, you let us know. You are one of us,” Skye reminded her as she headed out.

“Should we ban these sorts of movies?” Charlotte asked Europa and Aaricia as a trailer for some Alien invasion movie appeared. “They can only fuel the fear that some people have for Aliens.”

“Definitely. Appropriate representation matters, and all anyone sees on TV are that Aliens will come down in their spaceships and attack. No one has ever seen a single spaceship, although they must exist to abduct people.” Europa hated the misinformation that left most people completely confused about what being an Alien meant and how they arrived on Simterra.

“Maybe once we find the new Sixam, people will become better informed,” Aaricia mused while she played with RonRoneo.

“Can we please not start about New Sixam again,” Skye said with frustration.

“Not all of us are Simterran lovers, Skye.”

“What’s that suppose to mean?”

“If I had the opportunity to live on a planet dominated by Aliens, I would do it,” Aaricia replied.

“What makes you think that New Sixam would be dominated by Aliens, and not by Humans as well? Sixam might well be, but who knows what a New Sixam would be like.”

Skye and Aaricia’s argument was quickly and suddenly de-escalated by the rather wet sound of kissing.

The two looked at each other, and burst out laughing before Aaricia cupped her hands and called to Peter and Gemini “Get a room!”

“I apologize, Aaricia, I am not against a New Sixam. I just worry it sounds like a promised land with all our problems solved, and that just won’t be reality.”

Aaricia took her point. “I do like Simterra. And I like Simterrans. It would be nice, though, to not be the ones considered “Other.”

Peter and Gemini, meanwhile, did take their advince. The room they found was the bathroom, but that didn’t stop them from making out.

“Did you two escape the argument in here?” Lysander asked when he found Charlotte and Europa hanging out in the bedroom.

“Yes, Charlotte was just telling me that Aliens are not only qualified to go to University now, but also to private school.” 

“Sit with us,” Charlotte beckoned.

“These are important changes. With better educations, it will mean Aliens can’t be excluded from jobs as they have been.” Charlotte was already working with the Mayor to implement new changes. She would have to wait until Summer for the next election to run for a seat herself.

“It’s like we are back to what things were like 30 or 40 years ago. What’s to stop a backswing?” Europa asked.

“We are,” Lysander replied, “There are more of us now, and we know who our allies are. We have to keep pushing. Even if it’s exhausting.”

Charlotte said nothing. She would keep pushing, but she also understood that she did have the privilege of being able to stop if she wanted to. Lysander and Europa would push because they had the heart, but also because they had no other choice.

While Skye’s standing invitation was for all the newly-arrived Aliens, it was Barish who came over the most frequently.

“Is everyone else settling in all right?” Aaricia asked him, “They are welcome here too, you know.”

“They know. They are still uncertain. Like all of this might be snatched away any moment.” Barish, too feared that, and by the expression on Aaricia’s face, he could tell that the thought had crossed her mind regarding her own situation more than once.

“My brother, Matthew Hunt, he’s the Law in Huntsville Region. And Mayor Hogan has just granted all Aliens in Huntsville the right to vote. Which means your people can help keep her in power so she can continue to do right by us.” Aaricia would never forget what it meant to be an Alien, both the good and the bad.

“Am I looking old, Lysander?” Skye asked, feeling more annoyed by it then she wanted to be.

“You’re an elder. You look wise and important.” He narrowed his eyes, “You haven’t fretted about your looks in a long time. What’s going on?”

“Nothing. I just celebrated my birthday, that’s all.”

Lysander didn’t quite believe her.

“What tips do you have for a fellow whose just crash-landed in your backyard?” Barish asked Lysander with just enough of a smile to sell the joke.

“What kinds of tips are you looking for?” Lysander left an opening for whatever Barish was hinting at. 

“Well, take that photo over there. That’s Skye and a Human, right? Is he Astra’s father?”

“No. Astra’s father is a piece of shit who hates us. Skye thought...well, he wasn’t who she thought he was. He was pretty horrified when she got pregnant, since it’s so uncommon. And then there were triplets.”

“She’s their birth mother? But the guy, who’s he? A boyfriend?” Barish was understandably confused. The Alien women he had known chose Alien partners or no partners at all.

“Daniel was the love of her life. He died, an illness. He loved her, and her children.” Lysander didn’t mention that his illness had been used against them, an implication that loving an Alien brought a healthy young man down.

But Barish seemed to have other thoughts on his mind.

“Does it matter if old Sixam existed or exists? Finding a new Sixam makes more sense anyway,” Apollo tried to reason with the older Aliens at the table.

Skye and Aaricia could well take his point, but they didn’t want to. They had never had real hope of finding Sixam, but Astra and Apollo believed they could find a peaceful new planet perfect for habitation? 

“Apollo, you and Astra can talk about this later.” Aaricia’s tone ensured that they changed topics of conversation.

While Astra didn’t put much effort towards her own hygiene or appearance (note that she is still in her pajamas), she was very cleanly. She would wash up the dishes unprompted after every meal.

If asked, she would say “Death by flies is an ugly way to go.” Most people did not ask her more than once.

“Oof” Aricia moaned as she caught Lysander in a hug. She could catch him, but just barely. “You want to get out of here?”

“Yeah, let’s head out. Thanks for dinner, Skye!”

“Are you coming, Apollo?” Aaricia asked.

“No, I want to stay and hang out with Astra.”

So Aaricia and Lysander said their good byes  and were on their way.

“Is everyone starting to get settled in?” Skye asked. She knew, as the leader of her community, that Barish’s frequent visits were due to his being the leader of his. She didn’t let herself consider other options.

Barish considered the question. “We’re definitely set up in the apartment until we figure out next steps.” The eight who had come were currently all under one roof, but compared to their previous home, it felt quite comfortable. “The children seem fine, they can adjust so fast. The teens, I think they really want to believe they can trust this. Sisko too. I worry about Ronan.”

“He doesn’t trust Humans, I noticed,” Skye said, “And I can understand that, generally. He does trust you though.”

“His partner died giving birth. The baby died too. They refused any medical aid. I did what I could, but I’m a scientist, not a doctor. It’s been 3 years, but some things don’t heal.”

“I understand that you were the one who gave birth to your triplets? That you were able to conceive?” Barish hoped it wasn’t too impolite to ask.

“Yes, I did. And I lived, as did they, although I lost my uterus.” She didn’t mind sharing with this man who clearly understood how complicated it was for Aliens to give birth, but also how normal it was for it to be hard.

“It’s no wonder you are the leader here, you are absolutely incredible.”

Barish took Skye’s hand. His hand was gentle, hesitant. She could have pulled away if she had wanted to. But she did not want to.

Barish made her feel important in a way she had not in a long time. Important as a woman to a man who had desires. Important as an individual. That what she did could transform the universe for one other person and for herself, when she was so used to acting for a collective.

It felt good.

Aaricia and Lysander’s wedding was the event of the season for all invited.

Skye - This is such a beautiful event. It’s such a shame Athena is not here with us.

Sorren - And Belinda too. Coming today would have been too hard for her, but her absence is really clear.

Lysander - So, you and Peter, kissing here for all to see?

Aphrodite - What of it?

Lysander - Nothing, I guess? Look, the food’s being served. Let’s focus on the dinner.

As Aphrodite and Peter joined Gemini and Sorren at the table, Lysander was pleased to see that his sisters seemed to be pleasant enough to each other. Whatever was going on with them and Peter made no sense to him, but he just wanted them to be happy.

Meanwhile, Skye did a quick-change after realizing she and Europa had been wearing the same outfit, and Mars tried to stay low-key, playing with Charlie and hoping to avoid Aunt Margery tasking him with homework

Aaricia - Lysander, Matthew, grab some dinner before it’s all gone.

Things got pretty crazy when a kicky-bag competition broke out in the kitchen.

Archer - Oh, sorry, do you mind if I join you? There are so many people here, and this room seems the only place to get a quick break.

Pilar - Not at all. But I should clarify, since two people lying on a bed like this often is followed by woohoo. I’m gay, so I’m not interested.

Archer - Ah, yes, I can see how this might give that impression, however, I am happily engaged and have no intentions either.

Pilar - Glad to hear that.

Archer - So...um...did you watch the SimAwards the other night?

Aphrodite - *And I thought Peter had intentions of going home with me tonight.*

Apollo - This party has been absolutely amazing. I can’t wait until I find my life partner, like Aaricia and Lysander have.

All the guests were present. Aaricia and Lysander were ready to get married.

Lysander - You look incredible in that dress.

All the guests gathered to watch.

Lysander - Aaricia. I have loved you for so long, I don’t remember what my life was like before you. We have been partners through the worst of times and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life as your husband through times that will continue to be better and better, not the least of which because you are my wife.

Aaricia - Lysander. The moment we met, I knew it was something special. We may be finally allowed to legally declare out love as a marriage, but the way I feel about you, the relationship we have had so far. This is a reaffirmation of our love. It has been, it is, it will continue to be.

The crowd jumped to their feet. The applause so loud that surely those in Ashford City or on Huntsville Island could hear the cheering from Nickelton.

Lysander and Aaricia Goldsun are husband and wife.

Matthew - *I’m so happy for Aaricia*

Aphrodite - *I’m so happy for Lysander*

Peter - Congratulations, Gemini, you must be so happy for your brother.

Gemini - What an intimate hug.

Peter - Of course. I want to be as intimate as possible with you.

Spring - Days 1-3; Household 32: Lysander Goldsun; Aaricia Hunt; Mars Goldsun; Apollo Goldsun; Charlie the cat

Aaricia Hunt is both an Alien and a Hunt. Her younger brother, Matthew, is the heir. Her existence influenced the man he became. Her relationship with her family was strained because Matthew was playing the long game to get the support he needed to put proper protections in place. But this post is to introduce her, not him.

Aaricia loves science. A Natural Scientist, it’s a wonder she only has one pet. A Fortune Sim, she has always valued how much money can make a difference, even in the worst of times.

At 49, she has been in a relationship with Lysander Goldsun for over 25 years; not married, as it was not previously allowed, but what difference does that make exactly? They were never able to have children of their own, but took in Mars and Apollo when the twins were abandoned by an abductee who wanted to part of what had happened to him. A made family that made her so very happy.

Lysander is the oldest of the Goldsun family. He and his siblings, Europa, Aphrodite and Gemini, continue to mourn the loss of Athena. A hard loss when they had thought those losses would end, with the laws drastically improving for Aliens in Huntsville.

At 48, the Family-oriented Sim is excited to finally be able to have a wedding. He only wishes Athena, his parents and his younger brother were still with them to see it.

While Aaricia is all about science, Lysander is passionate about art and music. 

Apollo Goldsun is 16 years old. He a pretty typical teenager, for an Alien. A Family Sim, he hopes to one day find a partner with whom he can build the kind of life Lysander and Aaricia have together.

Mars Goldsun is in many ways the opposite of his twin. Far more aggressive towards Anti-Alien types, he gets in a fight or two a week. Aaricia and Lysander understand his anger and frustration, although fighting is not their prefered solution. A Romance Sim, Mars is just as passionate where he has affection as where he has conflict.

Charlie is the family cat. Getting on in years, he’s greyer and slower than he once was, but is still beloved by all.

Regardless of romantic drama or plans for the future of Alien-kind, Lysander, Aaricia, Mars and Apollo still had to take care of daily tasks.

Lysander - Another essay? Those teachers are working you hard.

Apollo - This one is for extra credit so that I can get more access to the planetary databases. Mars and I are going to find a new Alien Homeworld.

Lysander - Really? Good for you, son.

Mars - When we found the new Sixam, it’ll make both worlds welcoming to all people.

Orlando - Cool. How do I invest?

Mars - Give me your money and we’ll log your investment. Once we’re making a profit, you’ll be making a profit.

Aaricia and Lysander were both proud of the boys plans. In her spare time, Aaricia started working on side science projects that would be of benefit on another planet.

And thus Spring, Days 1-3 came to an end for Aaricia, Lysander, Mars and Apollo.

Aaricia got on well with her siblings - at least the oldest three. She was already 23 and moved out by the time the triplets were born. With the change in political current, her brother Matthew was becoming a bigger part of her life.

Lysander - Good to see you, Matthew.

Matthew - Lysander. Thank you for having me over.

Matthew - More and more of the popular television shows out there have a supernatural bent. Hopefully as people continue to fall in love with werewolves and witches and vampires, which don’t even exist, it will increase their acceptance of Aliens.

Lysander - That would be nice.

Aaricia - Honestly, Matthew. We’re green. Our eyes are black. We have coloured patterning on our faces, but it’s no different than freckles or birthmarks. We can’t do magic and the only reason any of us have ever wanted to harm a Human is because we so often feel unsafe. 

Aaricia - You should be offered an award for what you have achieved here in Huntsville. It was becoming a terrible place for Aliens, and you have now made it one of the best in the world.

Lysander - Part of that, though, it because so many other places are still so very terrible. I’ve heard that in Desert Valley, the Aliens there are kept in a small enclosure. Is it like a zoo, for people?

Matthew - I don’t know all the details from Desert Valley either, but from the sounds of it, yes, it’s very bad. We’re working on a deal that would allow Aliens from there to come here, but it is getting some push back. I won’t stop, though.

Matthew, Lysander and Aaricia continued to talk politics until the boys got home from wherever they had been hanging out.

Aaricia - Were you at Red’s? Who won at pool?

Mars - Apollo beat me and Caelum, again. I’d say it was with Nathan’s help, but, no offense Uncle Matthew, it really was all Apollo.

Matthew - I guess Nathan will have to read up on how to be better at pool if he is to help you out, Apollo.

Matthew - How are they doing in school?

Aaricia - Their grades are excellent. And they have a solid group of friends, both Alien and Human, that they generally feel safe.

Lysander - It’s the younger ones who worry me. So far, Hathor, Helo and Ares have decent teachers who work with them and teach the whole class that we are all different in our own ways, and that makes us stronger. But what if one of the teachers is Anti-Alien. What about classes where love isn’t being taught?

Matthew - Good night, Lysander. Good night, Aaricia. Liz and I would love to have you over for dinner sometime.

Aaricia - See you soon.

Huntsville Revived #235

After the wedding, a calm settled over the household. There were no more preparations needed. Aaricia and Lysander were as they were before, but now legally married!!

Unfortunately, Aliens were still targeted by the Anti-Alien jerks in the area. If they didn’t bring their newspaper in right away, there was a good chance it would be stolen.

Thomas - Haha, I’ve got their paper. Oh, no. A skunk!

Thomas escaped before he was sprayed.

Charlie was trying to figure out what was going on and who all these intruders on his land were. Unfortunately, all it earned him was being sprayed by a skunk.

Aaricia - Poor Charlie. I’m glad we’ve got you all cleaned up now. You shouldn’t try to play with skunks!

Lysander - I thought Aunt Margery helped you with your assignment? Wasn’t that due a while back?

Apollo - That was the paper on one of her novels. This is a new assignment. I am comparing her romance novel to her treaty on the Watcher.

Lysander - Let’s invite Margery over after school this week to help you out. This assignment isn’t due today is it?

Apollo - No. Thanks Lysander.

Mars - I already finished my paper. It’s about Soylent Green. Have you seen the movie? It’s based on a short story. Spoiler - the big reveal at the end is that Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!! 

Aaricia - I literally have a spoonful of food in my mouth. This is not the time to say things like that. Gross!

Aaricia and Lysander had said their vows and were officially married. Now it was time for the party to start.

Matthew - Congratulations, Aaricia. I’m so glad you and Lysander are married. Thank you for inviting me.

Aaricia - We may not be as close as some siblings are, but I know that for you, the ends justify the means, and me being able to get married today is an end I am very happy about. Which is, of course, really a beginning.

Matthew - Know that I am here for you. I will continue to do whatever I can, but you probably know far better than I do what will actually make a difference. But this is politics, and today is your wedding. Time to celebrate!

Margery - Aaricia. You look to stunning. That dress, it is so perfect on you. I’m so happy you are married to a man I know makes you happy.

Aaricia - Thank you, little sister. It means a lot to have you here.

Margery had always been the sibling Aaricia was closest to. 

Skye - What do you think, Violet, is Charlie trying to herd us inside?

Charlie - Mieeeeeeeoww!!!

Violet - Yes, I definitely get that impression. Shall we head in, Peter? Oh, good grief.

Skye - Wasn’t he just hitting on Aphrodite? 

Violet - I don’t want to know. I’m not going to ask.

Not everyone passing by wanted to wish the happy couple well on their special day.

Gemini - Brett Zealand, what are you doing in Sixam neighbourhood?

Brett - You can’t tell me where I can and can’t be.

Matthew - The lady was just asking your business. Do you have any here?

Brett - No.

Gemini - Then go away.

Matthew - Yes, move along. Now.

Brett did, without causing any trouble.

Peter - Well done, sending that jerk on his way. It must have been stressful. Would you like a massage.

Gemini - Sure, Peter.

Margery - Congratulations, Lysander, I know that you are going to continue to make my sister happy. I’m so please you were able to get married today. It’s wonderful.

Lysander - Thank you.

Lysander - You know that we’ve read all of your novels, right? In fact, Apollo has a paper on one due tomorrow.

Margery - Tomorrow?

Apollo - Aunt Margery, should I really be working on this in the middle of the wedding reception?

Margery - This paper is due tomorrow! Now, let’s review your arguments. No nephew of mine is going to turn in a paper later!

Aaricia and Lysander had been together for over 25 years, but they had not been legally allowed to marry, until now.

Lysander - Are you ready to marry me in front of all our friends and family?

Aaricia - Yes. 100 times Yes!

The guests gathered outside Aaricia and Lysander’s small house in the Sixam neighbourhood. The wedding would be outside; the reception inside.

Romance was in the air.

Sorren - Darling, I can hardly wait until it is our turn.

Lauren - I can hardly wait either, but today is all about Aaricia and Lysander, so let’s try to be a bit patient.

Peter - That dress looks terrific on you. It would also look terrific on my bedroom floor. But perhaps we should save that for later.

Aphrodite - Sounds great to me. I’d like to see that suit on the floor myself.

Gemini ignored what was happening just out of her peripheral vision. Today was the day her big brother was getting married. That was all that mattered. And what an exciting day, with so many guests, including Matthew Hunt!! The Heir was at the first Alien wedding in Huntsville Region. And no wonder, it was his sister getting married.

Huntsville Revived #180

Europa and Gemini organized a memorial for Athena. 

Aliens naturally felt great sadness when they lost someone close to them, but they had also experienced so much hardship that they preferred to celebrate life. This party would be festive.

Aphrodite and Belinda sat on the couch watching home videos of Athena and their family.

Caelum - Little bunny, Athena would have loved your dance moves.

Hathor - I wish they were still here.

Caelum - I know. Me too. 

Aaricia - *I wonder how Belinda’s holding up. Celebration and mourning don’t work for everyone* When’s this video from?

Aphrodite - It’s from out 12th birthday, when Athena first cut their hair short. Mom was horrified, but then realized Athena was so much happier.

Belinda - Have you seen this one? Europa, Aphrodite and Gemini put on a play for their parents and Lysander. Athena was in charge of special effects.

Venus - Aunt Aphrodite, aren’t you embarrassed by that costume you wore?

Aphrodite - The key to happiness, Venus, is to never feel embarrassment about anything. Athena knew that. They would want you to know it too.

Aaricia - I don’t think you were likely to win any awards for that performance. No wonder none of you became actors.

Europa - Indeed. Even Aphrodite, who is an amazing dancer, cannot deliver lines that are believable. 

Ares - Mom, can I become a special effect technician like Athena?

Gemini - Of course you can.

Ares - Venus, will you be in a movie with Helo so I can do special effect?

Venus - Well not right now, buddy, I’m making dinner.

Aaricia - Archer and Margery once dressed up as robots and acted out some distopian novel Margery was reading. Matthew wouldn’t participate. He said, as heir, it was important that he be seen in the audience. 

Europa - Younger siblings are so weird. And twins or triplets...I’m not sure my sisters know how to be alone.

Hathor - I don’t like to be alone.

Caelum - Dance with me, little bunny. I promise you’ll never be alone. You’re one of us, okay.

Ares - Hi Katherine. I’m going to make a movie. Do you want to be in it? Perfect.

Belinda - Athena was always sensitive to the sun. One time, in Three Lakes, there was a heat wave. They got sunstroke! They cursed and cursed all night, even as they shivered and I took care of them. We always laughed so hard about that.

Huntsville Revived #52

Though Lauren was obviously different, the Alien community had welcomed her with open arms. And while Huntsville and Nickelton had become a lot more accepting of late, the local Aliens were friends and enjoyed each others company a lot.

Lauren and Sorren could not keep their hands off each other since they had been reunited. 

Aaricia - I don’t know if I would be making out with quite such passion if my sister was right beside me.

Europa - That’s because your sister is not happily married. You know her husband is Hathor’s father, right?

Aaricia - I do, and so does everyone else here, but Margery doesn’t. And there’s no reason for her to learn it either.

Skye - Honestly, Aaricia, watching these two reunited is more romantic than a Hallmark movie. These chips are a great substitute for popcorn.

Gemini - So Violet really got abducted?

Peter - That’s what she said. I’m glad it wasn’t me. I’m not sure I’m ready to be a father.

Gemini - Good to know. (Does not remind Peter that she has a teenage daughter and twin sons).

Aaricia - Should we start making out in front of everyone?

Lysander - I think we can leave that to Sorren and Lauren.

Lauren - *Kiss* *Kiss* *Kiss*

Sorren - Oooh Lauren!!!
