Ignore anyone telling you to skip any part of this show, especially the first time through. The payoff is so great and you will be the worse for not seeing it in its entirety. Season one plants so many seeds, wait and see and fall in love.

​Believe me, if I get people selling me hard enough on sticking around for the good shit in later seasons, I am never skipping the first season. I'm a Star Trek mark, I know first season is where all the core lore is buried. You tough that shit out, and you get rewarded later with glory.

Watching Babylon 5 for the first time and this first episode proper is... rough. This pacing is all over the place, and honestly I’m finding it to be a chore to watch. Hopefully it’s up from here.
