Hear me out here.
You know how people always say Bert and Ernie are just a married gay couple?
Bert and Ernie are literally just if Quark and Odo got married. I will not elaborate, because there is no need.

Kayvan is so good at impressions. That Nixon impression he did in Sleep Hypnosis sent me into a coughing fit from laughing so hard.

I was surprised to see how many people hated Dougie Jones.
I was so enthralled by Kyle MacLachlan's performance, that the thought of Dale Cooper eventually coming back completely escaped my mind until he finally did. Then honestly, I missed Dougie.

So, I was watching Twin Peaks, which may be the most "That Guy" show in history. It is absolutely packed with television character actors.
Every scene with Harold Smith, played by Lenny Von Dohlen, this guy:

My brain is setting off familiarity alarms, but I couldn't place it. I try not to look up stuff on IMDB until I totally tap out. Mostly as a brain exercise.
About three days go by, and it finally hits me. I know where I know this fucker from.

Red Dwarf, in the episode Back to Reality.
It's no wonder it took me so long. That had to be one of the last things I would of even attempted to guess. My mind was all on late 80s and early 90s North American television.

Me: "I don't know... that doesn't sound like my type of movie."
Them: "It has Jeffrey Combs."
Me, already on the couch with fresh popcorn: "We doing this, or are you going to be a dick about it?"

I'm already seeing an endless list of complaints for the in development Star Trek workplace comedy, but I'm all here for it.
I've been a Star Trek fan for around thirty-five years, and even as a kid I wanted to see Star Trek from an outsider perspective, and now we're getting that. I never thought of comedy, but I'll take it.
In a modern world where everything is a prequel or general nostalgia porn, I'm very happy they're at least trying to do something different. Well, different for this world anyway. You're not going to break any molds with a workplace comedy, but at least it's fresh for this medium.

Rite Here Rite Now is absolutely the best live concert recording I have ever seen.
The band was in peak form, and were performing at a very high level. That production though? Fuck. I've never heard a live show recorded, mixed, and mastered that fucking excellent before.
Magnificent.

I love this prop.

Usually unless they have a deal with an actual company, you tend to see fake products in television shows. There are prop houses for that. Or the classic turning the label away from the cameras. You know what it is, but you can't confirm it.

But they were like, just change a bloody letter. It's fine.

Our Flag Means Death really highlights how great Con O'Neill is. Not that anyone on the show is bad, but putting a good actor with a great actor really makes the great actor shine more. Admittedly I'm relatively unfamiliar with Con, only seeing this show, and The Batman once. But the nuance of the things he does is just.. brilliant. Not to spoil, but for example when the crew gives him that gift with the note, and you know what he does... Brilliant stuff.

I was eight years old when Super Mario Bros. (1993) came out, but somehow I had never seen it. Last night, I finally saw it.
As a Mario Bros. adaptation, it is utter dog shit on every conceivable level. Absolutely.
Yet if you detach it from the source material... I liked it? I thought it was a ton of fun. If I would have saw it as a kid, I probably would of watched it a a lot. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, but I found it oddly charming. The tonal confusion and all.

There has never been a piece of Star Trek media I wasn't interested in at least seeing once, until this Section 31 movie.
I cannot wrap my head around the idea of the people creating modern Trek being obsessed with Section 31... it's as they missed the entire point of their purpose in Deep Space Nine. I feel like anybody who finds Section 31 to be cool, is the type of person who absolutely should not be writing Star Trek.
