IND vs AUS: India Wins Seventh One-Day Series Against Australia, Ashwin-Jadeja Shine After Iyer-Gill
With the series victory, India has turned the tables on Australia in this year's one-day series. Earlier this year, Australia had defeated India 2-1 in a three-match one-day series in March. The third and final match of the current series between the two teams will be played in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27.

India secured a series win against Australia by winning all three one-day matches. In the second match played at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, September 24, India won by 99 runs based on the Duckworth-Lewis method due to rain affecting the match. This marks India's seventh victory in bilateral one-day series against Australia. The last time they had defeated the Kangaroos was in a three-match series at their home ground in 2020, winning 2-1. In addition to the series win, India has avenged their one-day series loss to Australia earlier this year. In March, Australia had beaten India 2-1 in a three-match one-day series. The third and final match of the current series between the two teams will be played in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27. Australia Restrained at 213 Runs Speaking of the match, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first. India scored 399 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 50 overs. Due to rain, Australia had a revised target of 317 runs in 33 overs according to the Duckworth-Lewis method. The Kangaroo team was bowled out for 213 runs in 28.2 overs. India's Highest Score Against Australia In this one-day match, India achieved their highest score against Australia. Prior to this, India's highest score against Australia in ODIs was 383 runs, which they achieved in November 2013 in Bangalore. Moreover, this marks India's seventh-highest score in all one-day internationals. India's highest ODI score is 418/5 runs, which they scored against West Indies in December 2011 in Indore. This also happens to be India's second-highest score at the Indore ground. Shubman and Shreyas Shine with the Bat For India, Shubman Gill scored 104 runs off 97 balls, Shreyas Iyer made 105 runs off 90 balls, and captain KL Rahul contributed with 52 runs off 38 balls. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav played a blistering innings towards the end, scoring 72 runs off 37 balls, including six boundaries and six sixes. Ravindra Jadeja managed 13 runs, while he and Yadav shared a 44-run partnership in just 24 balls. India scored 54 runs in the last five overs of their innings. Cameron Green took two wickets for Australia, while Josh Hazlewood, Sean Abbott, and Adam Zampa each claimed one wicket. Ashwin and Jadeja Dominate with the Ball For Australia, Sean Abbott scored 54 runs, and David Warner made 53 runs. Marnus Labuschagne contributed 27 runs, and Josh Hazlewood scored 23 runs. Cameron Green added 19 runs, and Alex Carey made 14 runs. Matthew Short scored nine runs, Josh Inglis made six runs, and Adam Zampa scored five runs before getting out. Captain Steve Smith couldn't open his account. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja delivered a stellar bowling performance for India, each taking three wickets. Krishna, who is known as Shardul Thakur, took two wickets, and Mohammed Shami claimed one. Indore Records Seventh Consecutive Victory India has continued its impressive streak in Indore, where they have now won seven consecutive matches. The last time they played a one-day international here was in 2006, and they have never faced a defeat in seven ODIs at this venue. Additionally, India secured their second victory against Australia at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. In 2017, Team India defeated the Kangaroos by five wickets. Return of Rohit, Kohli, and Hardik For the third match of the series, regular captain Rohit Sharma, star batsman Virat Kohli, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya will be back in the Indian team. Along with the World Cup squad, Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar will also be present. Both Ashwin and Sundar will have another trial before the World Cup. If injured Axar Patel is not fit, either Ashwin or Sundar may be selected for the World Cup." Read the full article

Australia beat India Australia won by 10 wickets
Australia's bowlers again produced the goods, forcing out India's lower order with three wickets in each of their first two sessions like Moissanite diamond to take a 12-run lead at tea. But their efforts were undone by an afternoon session when the visitors smashed 286 off just 153 overs, including 59 fours and nine sixes.

[ad_1] Nitish Kumar Reddy at the MCG (PC: Debasis Sen) You are just 21. How are you handling the sudden pressure of being with the Indian team and all the eyeballs? Reddy: To be honest, it was a good feeling. Nerves are there, pressure is there, everything will be there. You will have to handle the nerves and pressure. You know you need to go and perform there. It feels very good when you go out there in front of Indian fans and perform. It feels like you are making your country and your state proud as well. Thankful to the BCCI for the opportunities. Do you feel you are ready to face Australia, and that too in Australia? Reddy: I am ready to give my 100…110 per cent for the Indian team. The BCCI has chosen me and I have to respond accordingly. As an all-rounder, I have both the skillsets and I want to give my 110 per cent, whichever way I can help them. I’m a good fielder, I can help in fielding as well. If I’m not playing, I can be the 12th man and carry drinks with all my heart. I can help by taking good catches. If I’m playing, I will be trying to give my maximum effort. It’s a crucial Test series for India. It will be very, very crucial series for me as well. How do you manage both batting and bowling? It can really take a toll on your body… Reddy: There was a time when I wanted to leave fast bowling and do off-spin, when I was something like 17. I was completely trying to avoid bowling because I was getting tired a lot, and eventually my batting stats were going down. I was not getting scores and was worried about my batting. I worked a lot on my batting. And then, I spoke with my coach. He said, ‘Nitish, now you are feeling in this way, but in senior age groups or when you play at senior level, when your batting fails you, your bowling will be rescuing you. A fast-bowling all-rounder is very rare and you’ve got that ability. Don’t leave that.’ So, yeah, and at the time, I felt like, ‘Okay, let’s keep on working on what I can do.’ I tried to score at No. 5, No. 6. Eventually, that all-rounder thing came into me. Did you notice any change, as in India we play with the red SG ball? Reddy: Obviously, the SG and Kookaburra, there is a lot of difference. Because, with SG, it gets rough easily on one side and it is easy to maintain that shine and rough. With the Kookaburra, it doesn’t… I guess it’s because of the pitches or it’s because of the outfield. I don’t know. It doesn’t get old that quickly. And it doesn’t get rough on one side. It gets rough on both sides. We can’t find much swing here apart from the initial stages. If you are bowling first change, second change, you can’t find that much swing here. You can trust that off-the-pitch movement though, like scrambled seam, hitting that scrambled seam. You can trust the bounce as well. You can play with that. That’s what I felt. What’s your individual goal as a cricketer? Reddy: My ultimate dream is to become one of the greatest all-rounders. That’s my ultimate goal. Like Ben Stokes, Hardik Pandya, Kapil Dev – in that kind of league.
