“ See you tomorrow,” she told Lev as he dropped her off before their ‘house’, parked it, and took off towards his wing. It’s been a long day and she could use a hot bath. Maybe Kai will join if he isn’t busy. And he was busy more often than not, thanks to her brother. He has his work cut out with building his dojo back up to its former glory. She removed her coat and switched on the light.

‘Kai’, she called out. He doesn’t answer. Was he downstairs? She opened the fireplace/ door which led up to their hideaway and descended. It didn’t feel like he was there but she checked the place thoroughly anyway. That’s when a white sheet of paper near the bedside lamp caught her attention.

‘You know where to find me, Little One’ was written in his neat, elegant handwriting. What does he mean by that? If he put it that way, they visited only two places frequently, The Pope and the church. But it’s been a while since they had been to the former due to the renovations, so it only left out the church. Oh, Kai what have you planned? Whatever it was, she couldn’t wait.

The church looked abandoned at that hour of the night. Kai’s Audi was nowhere to be seen. Was he not there? Where else would he be? She pulled her coat tighter around herself and trudged forward. The inside of the church felt haunted with its empty pews and her echoing footsteps. She shouldn’t have worn her heels.

‘Kai, where are you?’, She called out for her husband. Husband. Her life took a turn for the better after she married him. She loved her life. She loved him and every second she spent with him. She snapped out of her thoughts when she didn’t hear any reply. What game was he playing at?

‘Do you want me to find you myself? Is that it?’ She asked even though she knew the answer. Was he going to play Father Kai or the sinner today? She walked over to the confession side of the booth to find it empty. So, Father Kai it is.

Constantly thinking about how kai's not so subtle possessiveness is overlooked coz Banks' is more prominent. He was the most protective of all the horsemen honestly

My mind constantly keeps going back to Banks and Parenthood.

Just thinking about how intimidating it would have been for her initially, it took me back to this little sentence

This embodies her fears. Yes, she has Kai and his parents but it just wont be the same as her own mother(even though Lucinda has never been a proper one). She might have worried she was going to mess up the kid throughout her first pregnancy but Kai must already be a pro in dealing with her ways of thinking. I imagine she makes mistakes along the way and doubts herself with how she is handling certain things with her kids but she really does give them her everything.

Like here, Mads says 'she was trying to do what she thought parents should do'. And then him giving her a hug so SHE would feel better. For the most part I always thought Banks and Rose Calloway(from addicted series) would handle kids the same way. But it surprises me she is a hug person but not at the same time coz she hugs Damon all the time. And then there is her bond with Jett. I love how she is just so comfortable and safe with Banks. Them having a makeover together and potting plants? That's some real sweet mother-daughter bond(until Jett becomes a teenager anyway🤣). And dressing her daughter in pink and giving her the type of emotional and physical security she never got from her parents. Before NF came out I assumed Banks would have an easier time parenting her son considering who her brother is and how she grew up. But how completely wrong I was. This isn't to belittle Banks and Madden's bond but it is interesting to me how more in ease is her relationship with her daughter compared to her son. This is might due to Madden being in the spectrum possibly.

Or I might be way off on all this considering i got all this from few little scenes. Thoughts are welcome definitely

Circling each other, almost meeting and passing by without colliding has become kaibanks trademark. To think the number of times they were in the proximity of eachother but never knew they were in hands reach of their soulmates. Something about this makes my heart squeal

Kai used to live in the 'other side' of Thunder Bay till he was 5. So did Nik and her mom, possibly with whoever her then boyfriend was. I sometimes wonder if they crossed path in the street or in the playground. It's cute to think how it will go full circle if it did happen.

Nik first met Kai when she was 17 and Kai was a senior in HS. Their paths were never meant to cross. Logically they would never work out. A girl who had been neglected her whole life with serious abandonment issues who has no future in front of her and is completely dependent on her brother who has no real means of taking proper care of a teenager and a rich guy who is expected to achieve great things and carry forward the hard worked legacy his father built. Kai would go off to college while Nik would wait for her brother to finish his studies so he could get her out of the house where no one cared for them. this didn't stop either of them from exploring their chemistry and they definitely wanted more from each other. But their problems and worries were worlds away.

Nik was never allowed to have any friends other than the bodyguards Damon hired for her. Being a teenager with a social life was something she could only dream about. It was never within her reach. Damon never allowed her to be a part of any parties or functions. She was always an outsider (even in her own 'home') and only lived vicariously. Then her early twenties were used up surviving in Gabriel's household and earning his 'respect' and then finding/ protecting Damon from his friends. She never got the chance to worry about assignments and exams. Her problems were worlds away from what a normal teenager should experience. And the canon is as much as she had her hands full she still thought about Kai and him alone while he was around living his own life. He was the only 'good guy' she knew and she held onto him as tight as possible even though they might never meet again.

I think this one would make more sense from Kai's pov. Nik understood him in a way no one had ever did before and that was important for Kai. He hardly spent a day with her and he knew that type of connection with attraction was rare. He searches for traces of her in every person he meets. And he spends a lot of time wondering about his cold, rude girl and what they could have been.

This is just my haphazardly put-together analysis so don't mind me. Thoughts are welcome.

This was asked in that fb grp. PD's answer for kai not dealing with Ilia was that the series was 'female centered' and Banks doesnt need Kai to do that for her or somthing along that line. This made me laugh so hard coz

1. This is NOT a female centered seires. They basically centered EVERYTHING around Damon.

2. Banks would have loved nothing more than for Kai to take care of Ilia. Like this girl had to go through everything alone. It would have made her immensely happy though she would never admit it out loud

They were the first couple i loved in this series 🤭 and were the reason i even continued.

Their dynamic and banks attitude was worth it.

How they wanted 1 another but banks had to choose damon and kai just couldn't understand why.

The scene where kai teaches banks how to read and them in the shower because banks was shivering was so soft.

Banks deserves someone who will take care of her not because she can't but because he wants to and that's what kai will do.

He loves her and he has no problem showing her as he said in firenight, its just why can't we get a scene where he does that?? 😭😭

I loved it when he gave his family heirloom to her 🥺, it shows how just not kai but his parents too adore her. She is the daughter they never had.
