You only hoped they were somewhere nearby as you took a seat at the edge of the water and opened the backpack to see an envelope with your name on it.

By late afternoon you knew Max, Charles, Lewis and Carlos were definitely about with Checo likely already having joined them too. It was Carlos’ laugh that alerted you to their proximity and you daren’t breathe as you dropped to the ground and rolled under a thicket of bush. Excitement of the chase warred with the need to get caught and it took all your self control to keep still as they passed your hidden position.

Another two hours had passed by the time you reached the northern beach of the island, long shadows chasing the retreating tide as the temperature started dropping. It was quite the relief to find that a glamping tent had been set up and inside was a warm meal as well as more clothing and there was even a solar shower after all the walking you had done.  There was no way you were going to pass up the chance to have a hot shower and quickly stripped off your clothes before stepping under the refreshing water. 

If you weren’t so tired from the unexpected exercise the afternoon brought you might have questioned how the meal was hot or why the tent wasn’t on the map. 

“Well, well, look who wandered in,” Pierre chuckled as he stepped into the tent with a towel hung low on his hips, George at his side with wet hair and a grin on his lips. “This is a surprise.”

You froze as you realised this wasn’t a supply tent for you but where the guys were waiting for their time to join the hunt. “Fuck,” you cursed and stepped out from under the spray of water to grab a towel.

Etta tricked out an ATV to fit her theme and made it hover/wall fly so she can still get to places that don't have the highrises that need her help. She controls it remotely sometimes to help rescue people or lead the emergency services to a location/criminals she's taken care of. This causes her Uncle Barney to think she is a close friend of Recluse and works on her tech. He likes Recluse but is highly worried for 'both' their safeties.

The only "Canon Events" she has gone through is the death of her parents and giving up being Spiderwoman for a while after she failed to save a little boy's parents during a train derailment caused by Sandman.

Miguel sent Jess and Ben to recruit her for the Spider Society after she dealt with a Vulture variant and he worried over the fact that her Gwen Stacy event hadn't occurred yet (death of Harry in her case, his spine snaps as he is GG when she tired to stop him from plummeting after a mid-air battle) they haven't explained this to her yet. Etta tries to stay in her world but really likes collaborating on inventions with other spider-peoples and usually sticks to the R&D or repair department over missions.

Is works besties with Margo but highly distrusts Lyla. She partial mentors under Jess and let's Gwen stay in her dimension sometimes when Hobie's world is overwhelming.

State Police Were Sent To Help - Beatings Followed!

SAGINAW, MI – John Haynes wasn’t having it.

The 69-year-old Saginaw handyman, who is Black, let Michigan State Police troopers know precisely how he felt when they pulled him over in his van a few years ago, according to a video of the encounter obtained by MLive.

“I have been getting stopped all damn week,” Haynes says irately after he’s placed in a patrol vehicle. “For what? You looked through my van; you didn’t find any drugs. You (are) just interrupting a good person’s life, and I’m tired of getting stopped … Is that what we’ve got to go through to live in America?”

Haynes ultimately filed a complaint and a lawsuit. His complaint is one of more than 80 filed in the last two years against the Michigan State Police in so-called “Secure Cities” like Saginaw and Flint – cities with existing police forces but not enough resources. Troopers, like those Haynes encountered, were brought in to help as part of a multi-million-dollar statewide program.

Complaints, criminal charges and lawsuits have piled up against state troopers in cities that participate in the Secure Cities Partnership, many of them racial in nature. Experts and law enforcement officials interviewed for this story said it’s the result of sending officers from an outside agency – mostly white state troopers �� into predominantly Black cities, stoking existing, well-documented conflicts between Black people and white police officers.

Since the program launched in 2012, three residents have been killed in high-speed crashes and a teen died after being Tased while riding his ATV. At least six lawsuits have been filed, costing Michigan more than $27 million in payouts. And most recently in Saginaw, three white state troopers were criminally charged in two separate beatings of Black men caught on camera.

Residents and activists have told MLive they want Michigan State Police out of their towns.

“Personally, I think it should it end,” Jeffrey Bulls, president of the Saginaw nonprofit Community Alliance for the People, said about the Secure Cities program. “If I truly believed more police equaled more safety, I would increase Saginaw police, the ones we know.”

But elected and law enforcement officials say local departments are underfunded and their cities wouldn’t be able to function without their help.

“State police is doing a great job,” Saginaw police Chief Robert M. Ruth said. “We work together as a team. The resources they provide to us are tremendous to keep citizens safe.”

‘He was calling me ‘boy’ the whole time’

In 2022, two disturbing videos of white police officers beating Black men in Saginaw emerged. Three Michigan State Police troopers were charged in the two separate beatings – criminal cases that are still winding through the court system. Resignations and reassignments of superior officers followed.

Getting There

Yara has one International Airport, Aeropuerto Internacional de Noventarmas, located in the Valle de Oro region. There are 2 weekly direct flights to and from Miami, Florida. Flights from Yara to Miami are on Mondays at 7:00 and Fridays at 22:00. Check your local listings.

Note: At this time, due to the current situation, there are no official, legal, chartered ships to and from Yara.

You can go hunting, fishing or experience the rush of skydiving and base jumping!

Things to Know Before Visiting Yara

Please read this section carefully for potentially life saving things to know before visiting Yara.

Nighttime Curfews Due to the current situation, some but not all towns impose a nightly curfew and residents and travelers alike are required to remain indoors between the hours of 8PM to 6AM. In addition to the capital city of Esperanza, towns like Segunda and Concepción are also under curfew. To find out if your city is currently under curfew, pay attention to announcements over the national PA system which will provide information in both Spanish and English.

Carry your Passport and Identification on your person at ALL TIME

Soldados of the Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa or FND, have the right to demand that anyone produce valid identification at any given time. Just show your papers. It is that simple.

Obey the FND at all times!

Yara is a... ehh.. highly regulated country and is under martial law at this time. As a traveler, it is your duty to obey the rules and regulations at all times to avoid incarceration or-- To avoid incarceration.

Additional rules There are many rules that may appear strange to foreigners but must be respected to ensure that you remain safe during your stay in Yara. No public gathering In light of recent events which resulted in violent protests, public gatherings of 6 people or more are prohibited and will be met with swift action by the FND. If you are traveling in a group, you can obtain a special permit from the Ministry of Culture. Restricted Areas and Additional temporary entry restrictions Yara is big on safety and signs. As you travel in Yara, you will encounter many signs prohibiting or restricting access to military sites and government owned and operated facilities. DO NOT TRESPASS IN YARA. Ever. Additionally, you may see areas that are not normally restricted add temporary restrictions at certain times, such as events organized by the Ministry of Culture, public executions, or public appearances by El Presidente de Yara, Antón Castillo. Restrictions on Tobacco Smoking of tobacco is not illegal in Yara, however, it is not permitted to possess more than 25 grams, the equivalent of two packs of cigarettes, at any one time.
