I enjoy taking commissions. I really enjoy doing research and learning new things and trying new things, and I find its easier to branch out if someone gives me a starting point. one of the suggestions I was given for this dude was to try making spots into constellations. this immediately led me to try and find a hyena constellation, which was fun, and led me down a few different rabbit holes.

but it also forced me to think about how I could make it clearly a constellation while still having it look like a natural part of the fur, and I'm happy with where I landed on that. it still looks like fur, it still looks like the rest of his spots, but the inner colour and the little lines of black fur make it fairly obviously a constellation (technically an asterism lol) too
