Beloved Mother Part 2.5 Rewrite
So this is a slight rewrite to my ASL x Mother!Reader short series that I wrote. just a minor thing at the end that I’ve wanted to do for a while.
The Orginal Part 1, Part 2, Part 2.5, Part 3
Warnings: Angst, dreams
Word Count: 1510
Three boys played in a field of flowers, a woman laughing and playing along with them. It was a perfectly sunny day and a picnic blanket was laid out underneath the shade of a tree, piled high with food as the family of four laughed and played.
“Sabo, Ace, Luffy, come on! You can’t gang up on your mother like that.” you laughed as you suddenly found yourself dogpiled by three young boys.
“How else are we supposed to beat you? You’re bigger than us!” Luffy whined, though the smile stayed on his face.
“Moreover, you’re stronger than us!” Ace huffed, pouting, though the pout only lasted for a second before he was smiling again. A thought seemed to dawn on Sabo, his eyes widening for a moment.
“Luffy, Ace run! It’s a-” all three boys suddenly found themselves unable to escape, wrapped in a large hug as you laughed.
“Rule one, boys. Never trust the enemy!” you laughed, making sure to smother their cheeks in kisses, even as they ‘screamed’ for mercy and ‘tried to escape’.
Two 10-year-old boys and a 7-year-old boy changed and grew, suddenly finding themselves at 14 and 11, allowing the three boys to turn the tide on their mother.
“Attack! We’re bigger, older, and stronger now! She can’t escape!” Ace cried as he pounced on your legs. Luffy quickly grabbed your left arm while Sabo pinned your right, each boy holding your limbs down.
“You’ve made one crucial mistake, boys.” you said with a winning grin.
“But you’re pinned!” Luffy groaned, pouting as he stayed wrapped around your arm.
“Yes, but you 3 were so busy pinning me that you failed to think about who’s going to exact your revenge.” you said with a chuckle, watching as the 3 boys looked at each other wide eyed before groaning and dropping their heads in defeat. The food piled on the blanket was a little less now, not that the boys noticed, too caught up in playing with their mother to think about the wonderful picnic that was supposed to await them. Luffy, Sabo, and Ace soon found themselves running around the field again, laughing and screaming as you chased them in an attempt to wrangle all three of them at once. They were older and taller now and despite your speed, holding one or two down while chasing a third was much, much harder. Once more, the brothers found themselves older, stronger, and taller. Ace and Sabo were now 17, their little brother now 14, the day Sabo and Ace would have originally left to become pirates, the day Ace did leave to become a pirate.
“HAH! Pinned by two! Prepare for revenge!” Ace shouted, standing over you as Sabo and Luffy pinned you to the ground.
“Ah, you have much to learn my beloved boys.” you said with a smile, shaking your head and confusing the boys. Luffy and Sabo looked at each other before glancing up at Ace, unsure of what you were talking about.
“Not only had you failed to remember rule one to never trust the enemy, but in your haste to pin me, you failed to notice you didn’t protect your weak spots!” you quickly threw Sabo off, sending the boy flying into Ace before starting to tickle Luffy, the boy screeching and laughing. Once he was ‘clearly incapacitated’, you launched yourself at the older two.
“Never trust your enemy, even if it seems you’ve won.” you laughed, tackling Ace and peppering his cheeks in motherly kisses, the boy screaming in ‘horror’ and ‘disgust’. Sabo was already running away, shouting about Ace and Luffy being on their own when he found himself face down in the flowers as you laughed from above him.
“Good try, but you know you can’t outrun me.” you said, tickling him. Sabo and Luffy were always tickled, but Ace screamed against the kisses while loving them the entire time, needing the love that you showed the boy, he was more insecure than the other two. In the distance, under the tree, the food was almost gone as it sat, awaiting the four of them.
Ace, Luffy, and Sabo found themselves a little older now, 20 and 17. Luffy’s rubber body was wrapped around you, pinning your arms to your sides while Ace held down your legs. Even as you struggled against them, you found yourself unable to escape. You stopped struggling after a moment before looking up at Sabo, the boy grinning with his arms crossed.
“Don’t let up! We can’t trust the enemy! Luffy, careful of your ticklish spots. Ace, move a little to your right, she can still use her legs to pull you close!” Sabo commanded, the other two boys doing as Sabo requested.
“You three have got me pretty good, not sure I can get out of this.” you said, testing Luffy’s grip once more.
“Like we’re gonna believe you. You’re the strongest mom in the world! No one can truly take you down.” Luffy said, pouting. Despite his tight hold on you and his attempt to help keep you pinned, he was still the same old Luffy, the one who liked to snuggle into you before laying down for a nap. You soon found the boy rubbing his head against your arm, it wasn’t much, but it was the best he could do in this position. You laughed, looking over them.
“You’re right not to trust me. Last lesson, don’t expect your opponent to play fair.” you said, wind suddenly swirling around you. Sabo shielded his eyes from the dust and dirt that kicked up while Ace and Luffy closed their eyes. Ace was soon blown off of your legs by the strong winds, not strong enough to hang on as he collided with his brother. The winds died down as you looked at Luffy who was still wrapped around you. You pouted and gave him the same puppy dog eyes they always gave you.
“Mommy really wants cuddles.” you said, Luffy’s grip weakening. You knew Ace and Sabo were too busy picking themselves to tell their brother ‘no’. Luffy slowly unwrapped himself before pulling you into a hug, his face buried into your stomach. The two older boys huffed as they looked at their brother, knowing that the boy was weak against you. A little ways away, the picnic blanket lay under the tree, bare of food aside from a few crumbs on the plates.
The sun was setting on two 21-year-old boys and an 18-year-old, their current ages. You stood, your back to them, an empty picnic basket over your arm, a familiar blanket placed on the top. The wind blew through your hair as the three boys stood side-by-side, staring at you.
“But why do you have to leave? Why can’t we come with you?” Luffy asked, worry evident in his eyes.
“It’s time for me to leave, I can’t stay forever.” you said with a sad smile, turning to face them.
“Why? Why do you have to go? We need you here!”Sabo argued, his hands shaking.
“That’s just the way it is. I have to leave, I’m not allowed to stay, I was only allowed one night, just until the food was gone.” you explained, holding up the picnic basket.
“No! We… we ne- I need you! You were always there for me! Always telling me that what other people said about me was wrong, that I wasn’t trash! You can’t leave!” Ace shouted, hands balled into fists. He couldn’t lose you, not like this. All three boys loved you, but you were the only family aside from his brothers that he’d ever known. The only mother he’d ever known.
“You don’t need me, I promise. You’ve all made so many friends, built crews, created a type of family. My sweet, sweet boys. I’m afraid I only have one thing left to teach you and that’s that sometimes you have to accept loss, even if you don’t want to. Sometimes things go wrong and they don’t end up how you’d like, but it’s okay. You’ll always have each other, be there to pick each other up, to help each other when you need it. It’s going to be okay. I’m… I’m sorry I have to leave, I know it’s not what you wanted, but at least this time we can say goodbye.” you said, tears brimming in your eyes. Gently, you pulled the picnic blanket from the basket, pulling the boys close to each other and wrapping the three of them together in it.
“No! I don’t want to say goodbye!” Luffy whimpered.
“You can’t go! Please, stay!” Sabo cried.
“You can’t leave us! I can’t lose you!” Ace sobbed.
“I have to. I love you all so, so much. Don’t ever forget that.” you said. A wind blew through the field and suddenly you were gone.
Three boys jolted awake in three different locations, identical tears running down their faces, each covered in a section of a familiar picnic blanket.

hi, could you write a fluff fic about carl x deaf!reader ? i think it would be cute if she could teach him sign and he could learn through books enough to tell her his feelings. maybe she was at alexandria when he got there and kinda kept to herself because no one could communicate with her but he was determined to.
i love carl and twd but i rarely see any deaf/hoh fics as a deaf person. thank you and have a good day ❤️
Here ya go lovey! I hope you like it!
I tried to make sure that the information on cochlear implants(since they're mentioned) is correct, I hope I got it right..

Isolation and Silence were your friends. Hiding was a friend, a cowardly friend, but one non the less. You were born deaf, when you were five your loving parents got you a cochlear implant. You could hear for the first time ever, at the young age of 5. The cochlear implant never left your head unless it was charging, using a USB cord.
But all of the safety the implant brought you was put on hold as the world ended. There was no way for you to charge your implant, so fear set in. Your parents changed as well once the world ended, your father became more strict and less loving. Your mother became more quiet and reserved. You felt more alone then ever once your implant died.
Anger went through your veins as you heard the beeping that meant that the implant has died. The last thing you heard was that cursed beeping. Sadness creeped in after that once the world went silent. You were so used to sound after 6 years of it, being only 11 at the time of the apocalypse. The next year your mom took the easy way out, your father became angry. He never tried to communicate with you, even though you both knew sign language. You were a bit rusty but was remembering it slowly. Two years later, your father allowed himself to be eaten by walkers. At the age of 14, you were alone, alone in a world were sound was critical to survive. A world where you had to look over your shoulder and starve and stay awake for days on end to make sure you were safe.
That was until Aaron found you one day, you were asleep in the back of your family car and allowed yourself to sleep. Aaron gently spoke to you trying to wake you up, but you didn't stir. He reached out with some hesitation and placed his hand on your shoulder, at the mere touch of his hand you sprang up with horror on your face. You tried to speak, to show you were a normal surviver, but the words came out in slurs, you couldn't hear yourself speak. The welcoming vibrations in your ears as you spoke was gone, there was nothing.
Aaron looked shocked and was trying to talk to you, you read his thin lips and he seemed to say, are you drunk?. You grew confused by the question and started to sign on instinct, his eyes widened. He didn't know sign language, he's never interacted with someone who was deaf before in his life. He got a bit closer to you so you can read his lips,
Are you alone?
You nod your head after a moment, he seems to frown and speaks to you again
Would you like to go somewhere safe?
You nod again, anywhere but the outside was safe. Aaron smiles slightly at your nod and he holds his hand out to you, you slowly take it with some hesitation and he gently tugs you out of the car. He looks around as you gather your things. A blanket you've had since you were a baby, and some books you've held onto. Books about ASL, or American Sign Language, everything fit in your bag. You were out of food or water so you didn't have much, Aaron leads you away from your home and you both walks in silence. One more willing than the other, and after a days walk you get to Alexandria.
You look up to see a large guarded area with people stationed on both sides of the large gate, each holding a good sized gun and staring down at her. Aaron must of said something making the gate open. He ushers her in and leads her to Denise, the leader of the close knit group, and she looks at you and begins to speak. Aaron seems to of cut her off, and tells her of your condition. Denise looks a bit saddened by the news, no one here knows sign language so communication will be very difficult.
"We'll station her up in an empty house for now"
"Why? She can stay with me for now"
"No one knows sign language Aaron, talking with her will be difficult."
"She reads lips, that's how I got her here"
"She is to go to an empty house for now." Denise had the final word, as usual, and Aaron is forced to comply. He brings you to an empty house and goes in front of you so you can read his lips
This is your home for now, I have to go back out
You nod as he tells her everything, finding it of no use to sign to him. He walks away after a moment leaving you alone. You let out a sign as you're isolated once again.
As the days go by, your actions don't change, Aaron never comes back to see you as he's to busy with his job so you stay alone. You go outside and sit by the lake, you're favorite area, with your feet in the water. You close your eyes as you can feel the vibrations of other walking nearby and the gently moving of the water that's around your feet. This is your daily routine, some kids try to come up to you and speak but you never reply, obviously, so they give up after a moment and walks off to never try again. Ron tried it, Enid tried, as well as every single teen in the small sanctuary. They all try to be friends with you but since you don't reply and seem to ignore them, they all think you're rude.
That was until Carl Grimes and his group enter the area. Aaron brings them back and he sees you by the lake, so he addresses the group.
"That kid over there" he points to you
"I haven't got their name but they're deaf, not rude." He knows of the kids finding you rude or entitled so he makes sure everyone knows of your condition. Carl's gaze lingers on you as your open your eyes and looks at the water. You can feel someone's gaze on you and look around seeing Carl looking at you. His face is blank but his eyes are narrowed slightly, as if he's trying to figure you out. His eyes go to their normal size as you make eye contact. Rick makes Carl follow the group, leaving you to your own devises once more.
As the days went on and Carl got to knows some of the teens, each said the same thing about you, that you're rude and entitled and speak to no one. Carl tries to tell them that you're deaf, but non believe him. So he decides, for some reason, to go up to you. You're at your usual place, with your eyes closed and bare feet in the water. You looked so peaceful that Carl feels a bit bad when he sits next to you and gently pokes your arm making you jump. His face stays blank as you look at him quickly, no one has touched her or gotten her attention in any way besides speaking so this was new. He starts to speak slowly, so you can read his lips
Hi, I'm Carl
You have a bit and sign your name, the letters being almost drawn in the air seem to amaze him slightly. He's never seen someone sign before. The use of your hands catch his attention as he watches the language.
Can you teach me?
He asks you, you nod after a moment of shock and adjust yourself to face him more. You sign a simple hello, the simple wave of your hand, he copies. You mouth the word "hello" he copies you and does the sign again. You begin to sign the alphabet, your hands amazing him as you sign the 26 letters effortlessly. He copies you slowly as you do it again, you mouth the letter that corresponds with the hand movement. You sign his name slowly,
C
A
R
L
He watches you and copies you again.
You both didn't realize that you gained some attention, Rick and Michonne watch you two.
"He's never done this.." Rick whispers softly. He had to deal with a teen angsty Carl for the last few years so seeing him willingly socialize with someone was shocking.
You sign your name slowly and he whispers the letters to himself softly then repeats your name to himself once he understands it. He says it again a bit louder making you smile, seeing him say your name was nice. No one has said your name in about a year, so it was refreshing to see. You continue teaching him sign language, finally gaining a friend after so long.

Hey teddy! I recently read the Caesar hcs and actually fell in love with you writing! I was wondering if you could do some more general Caesar hcs
Thank youuu 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
[General Caesar headcanons!] [PT2]
Tumblr media
Summary: Caesar x reader general headcanons!
Warnings: Romance between Caesar and You, takes place after War! Let me know if I miss anything.
A/N: Hi!!! I hope these are good, I've been brainrotting about him and Noa all day today,,, idk if this counts as general but i got into the groove and now we are here. Hope you enjoy 🫶
Tumblr media
Caesar who claims he wants nothing to do with you romantically, lying to himself that just because he cares for humans, that he took you in, let you stay and become one of them, doesn't mean he wants one as a mate.
He is the Ape king, it'd be a bad example, it'd never work, so he pushes it down and says it doesn't bother him when you're out with other male apes alone.
He's a fucking liar because he gets jealous. So jealous to the point, he gets territorial.
Caesar is not opposed to scenting you without your knowledge, everytime he brushes against you, it's a deliberate act to make sure other apes know he's been with you. It's a primal need in him to stake his claim. Whenever you explain that you're off to help the others, he makes sure you're walking off reeking of him. It's kinda obnoxious, no one is gonna steal you away from him, even if they wanted to.
Not alot of apes in current day do settle into a monogamous relationship with one mate, and no one really expects Caesar to stay in one himself, but he's pretty stuck onto you before he even realizes.
He tries to take up your time so it leaves little for others. He thinks he's being slick, but alas, Maurice knows. Maurice knew from the second you appeared on their doorstep that it'd be sure that Caesar would get attached to you.
He hasn't been expecting Caesar to want you as a mate, but he isn't against it. As he sees it, you two balance one another, and he knows Caesar still grieves losing his first family. You're good for the Ape king.
Caesar keeps you close, your nest is near his, when it is time for meals, it's typically you both with Cornelius in your lap, 'secretly' stealing berries from your pile.
"Stop it." Caesar signs, staring down at the little chimp on your arms, his nostrils flared ever so slightly.
Cornelius stops in his tracks, glancing up at his father, then to you.
You can't help but let out a giggle, which makes Caesar look up at you, his heart clenching beneath all the fur and muscle.
"It's okay honey, take as much as you want."
It's the way you say it so gently, readjusting yourself to Cornelius can reach easier to grab a fistful.
It makes the ape want to see you as a full-fledged mother (he sits up at night after this, staring into the ceiling with a "Oh shit." Look once he remembers)
He wants to be the one to teach you more ASL, yes he's aware Maurice can teach you, hell, he knows he himself has other duties that are at a higher priority. But he still takes the time, bringing you into his nest to have one on one time.
Watching your hands as you fumble is entertaining to me, taking in the size difference. He uses your mishaps as a reason to correct you, his much larger hands cradling your own and showing you how to form new words.
If you're hoping he doesn't see your face reddening, he does. He just won't tell you. God forbid someone else sees your blushing face that isn't him, though. He'll immediately shut it down and tell them to leave you be, that you aren't to be messed with.
He's a hypocrite.

Ask me to stay

Peter Maximoff x fem!mutant!reader
Summary: Peter stays by your side, bringing comfort, teasing, and a love that feels like home
Warnings: fluffy, light teasing, emotional comfort, mild suggestive language, established relationship, hurt&comfort
A/N: This was my first request and I was so excited! I hope you like it (and damn, I'm head over heels in love with it)
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It was hard to explain how someone like Peter had become the most important person in your life. He was a force of nature: fast, unpredictable, and impossible to ignore. From the day you met, he had never seemed afraid of you.
No, in fact, he found your power fascinating. It was strange, honestly, especially after spending years surrounded by people who feared to hear your voice. Your parents always suspected, but it wasn’t until your ninth birthday, when you showed up with a brand-new BMW in front of the house – just a simple request and the salesman himself drove the car over – that they knew their little girl was not like the other kids.
“You have a voice that can make anyone do whatever you want? What kind of comic book villain are you?” he teased at your first meeting, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he leaned in closer, his dark eyes shining with curiosity.
“I’m not a villain, Peter,” you replied, crossing your arms in mock indignation.
“Oh, sure, Miss ‘do as I say.’ And I’m Captain America.” He shrugged, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “If it were me, I’d make people bring me food all the time. Or let me win at Pong.”
“You don’t even need help with that, cheater.”
He laughed, tilting his head to the side as if about to respond, but instead, just looked at you for a few seconds. “I think that’s what I like about you,” he said suddenly, the tone surprisingly serious. “You stand up to me. It’s cool.”
You tried to hide the heat rising to your cheeks, but something in that moment stayed with you. Peter never looked at you like someone dangerous or different. To him, you were just… you.
And he never changed.
The years passed, and Peter continued to be the same boy who was impossible to keep up with. He spoke too fast, thoughts racing faster than his words, and loved to tease you.
“Are you really going to pretend you didn’t hear me?” he said, leaning against the doorframe, holding a Twinkie like it was a prize. “I know you’re in there. I’m going to count to three… One… Two—”
“Peter, if you annoy me, I swear I’ll make you leave here singing Abba in the square.” You hoped your voice sounded like a real threat, even though a smile fought to spread across your face.
“Oh, the power of the magic voice.” He rolled his eyes, taking an exaggerated bite of the sweet, cream smearing across his lips. “I knew I should’ve brought earplugs. What an amateur I am.”
And you just laughed, shaking your head as he kept talking, always jumping from one thought to the next without pause.
Your friendship was like that: full of teasing, laughter, and an intimacy that felt natural. It was easy to be with Peter, easy to forget the complicated world outside when he was by your side.
On that particular night, in the basement of his mother’s house, you realized just how much he meant to you. You had spent hours together, surrounded by old pillows and wrapped in the soundtrack Peter insisted was “essential to understand the decade.”
“You have to admit, Bowie is a genius,” he said, pointing at the tape player like it was a work of art.
“I admit he’s good,” you replied, raising an eyebrow. “But not as good as Queen.”
“What?” Peter placed a hand on his heart, pretending to be offended. “Take that back now, or I’ll be forced to challenge you to a Pong duel!”
“You always want Pong,” you muttered, but the challenge in his eyes made you laugh.
You spent what felt like hours playing and arguing about bands while sharing the almost endless supply of sweets he always hid. After a lot of laughter and sugar, you both fell asleep side by side in the middle of the mess.
You woke up first, senses still numb. It took a moment to realize where you were, who you were with. Peter’s arms were wrapped tightly around you, holding you close to his chest. His breath tickled the top of your head, and you could feel each rise and fall as he inhaled and exhaled. It was a feeling... good. Being held so tightly by him. You sighed, pressing your face into the curve of his neck. There was something there, a scent mixed with the warmth of his skin, that made your heart race.
Without realizing it, you gently pressed your nose to the soft flesh, letting his scent fill your lungs. The skin felt so soft, so smooth. What would it feel like to slide your lips across it? The thought triggered an alert in your mind. Friends didn’t think these things.
“Hmm… you’re smelling my neck now?” he murmured, his voice still rough with sleep sending shivers down your spine, making you feel even guiltier.
You pulled back as if you’d been shocked. “I… No!”
He opened one eye, the familiar glint of teasing starting to show. “Of course not. Didn’t notice a thing.”
You huffed, pushing his shoulder, determined to put some distance between you. “Stop, Peter.”
He laughed, but you felt the heat in your face as you looked away. Because, at that moment, you realized something you had been trying to ignore: you were in love with your best friend. Was there a greater tragedy?
And that thought stayed with you ever since, buried too deep for him to notice. Because, deep down, you knew Peter had always been the kind of person who could pull a smile out of you, even on your worst days.    (...)
The week had been a real nightmare.
Since Monday, obligations seemed to pile up like an avalanche. Exhausting training sessions with the team, a particularly complicated mission involving a hostage rescue at an enemy base, and the weight of final college exams. Even your powers weren’t much help—quite the opposite. Convincing someone to cooperate with your siren voice required extreme mental control, and using it during the mission only added to the emotional exhaustion you were already carrying.
“You’ve got this, Siren’s Tear,” Kurt joked, trying to lighten the mood as he adjusted the communicator.
You smiled at him, but the smile didn’t reach your eyes. Siren’s Tear. It was a nickname Peter had made up, a mix of joke and admiration that had spread among the X-Men. Normally, it made you smile. But this week, it felt like an extra weight.
The mission had been chaos. Explosions, confrontations, and life-or-death decisions in a matter of seconds. Even with Kurt’s teleportation and Ororo’s storm control, the enemies were better prepared than expected. You found yourself cornered more than once, forcing your voice to a dangerous limit to make guards lower their weapons. When it was all over, you could barely stand.
And yet, there was the rest of the week waiting for you: piled-up studying, reports for Professor Xavier, and a persistent feeling of inadequacy that whispered you never did enough.
When Saturday finally arrived, your body and mind were at their breaking point. All you wanted was a moment of peace, a break from missions, responsibilities, and any reminder of how difficult it was to balance the two lives you led.
It was in this state that Peter showed up.
You barely had time to process his entrance, as he appeared the way he always did—unannounced, without ceremony, with that playful smile plastered across his face. He held a bag of Twinkies in his right hand and a copy of Space Invaders in the left, as if there was no chance in the world you wouldn’t want to spend the next few hours with him.
“Hey, Siren’s Tear, missed you,” he said, completely ignoring the pitiful state you were in. He threw the bag of snacks on the sofa and started rummaging through the stuff on the table, talking so fast you could barely keep up. “I thought maybe we could relax a bit. I know you’ve had a crazy week, but guess who got the highest score at the arcade? Me. Of course, it was me. And I thought—”
“Peter…” you started, your voice hoarse from the repeated use of your power over the past few days. The pressure in your head was so intense you could almost imagine it exploding.
“—that maybe you could try to beat my record. But good luck, because I’m unstoppable. Seriously, they should rename the game ‘Peter’s Challenge’. What do you think?”
“Peter, stop.” You looked at him with no trace of humor.
He finally looked at you, confused, but with that smile still there, as if he couldn’t imagine that you weren’t on the same wavelength as him.
“Are you okay?” he asked, tilting his head, his dark eyes like coal examining you from head to toe. “You look like you could use a Twinkie. Or two.”
You closed your eyes, trying to take a deep breath, but fatigue and irritation finally broke through your self-control.
“I don’t need Twinkies, Peter!” you exploded, your voice louder than ever. “I need a minute of peace! Just one minute, without you talking nonstop, without you messing everything up, without you… Without you annoying me! Can you just disappear for a while?!”
The room fell into absolute silence. Both surprised, not knowing how to react. You had never shouted at him, not really. The weight of your words made your shoulders sink, a bitter taste in your mouth.
His eyes were wide, surprised, as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Peter Maximoff, the boy who never stopped talking, was speechless.
You realized the gravity of what you’d said in the same instant, but before you could try to fix it, he took a step back, the usual smile replaced by something much sadder and more vulnerable. You had never seen him look so sad. Regret made your stomach burn.
“Wow,” he murmured, his voice low and hesitant, fingers fidgeting nervously. “I… didn’t know you could be influential without your powers.” He commented, his voice dry and brittle.
You opened your mouth to say something, anything, but he raised a hand, as if asking you to stop.
“It's okay,” he said, forcing a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “I’ll do what you want. I’ll disappear.”
“Peter, don’t—” He disappeared long before you could finish your sentence.
The characteristic sound of his speed faded as quickly as he did, leaving only a heavy silence behind.
You stood there, frozen in the middle of the room, your hand still extended in the air, the words you wanted to say stuck in your throat. An overwhelming wave of guilt washed over you, along with the emptiness left by him. Tears came before you could stop them, flowing hot and silent as you collapsed onto the bed.
Why did you have to explode at him? Why did you have to hurt the one person who always made a point of being by your side, even when you didn’t want to be?
You knew Peter had good intentions. He always had. He just didn’t know how to show them the right way.
But now, he was hurt.
And for the first time, you felt completely alone.
(...)
Three days.
Three days without a sign of Peter.
The Xavier mansion, always so full of life, felt suffocating now. You could barely look at the familiar faces around you without feeling a tightness in your chest. Everything seemed darker, slower, as if the world were mirroring the whirlwind inside you.
The others noticed, of course.
“Are you okay?” Jean asked, her voice soft as she touched your shoulder. You just shook your head, unable to respond. There were no words for the weight of regret you felt.
Even Logan, always so distant, paused as he walked past you in the hallway and gave you a concerned look. “If you need anything, anything at all, let me know,” he said, his voice low and serious.
But nothing helped.
You barely ate, barely slept. When you closed your eyes, all you saw was Peter’s face, the sad smile he tried to hide before disappearing.
“I’ll do what you want. I’ll disappear.”
His words echoed in your mind like a curse, a constant reminder that you had done what you never thought was possible: pushed Peter Maximoff away.
He had always been there. From the first moment, when you arrived at the mansion nervous and lost, he was the first to break the ice. You were startled by his repeated closeness. One moment you were alone, and the next he was right in front of you, all silver hair and easy smiles.
“So, what’s your power?” He leaned in, eyes narrowed as he looked at you with interest. “Can you make people give you free pizza? Because that would be impressive.”
It was a silly question, of course, but the way he said it—with that crooked smile and energy that was impossible to ignore—made you laugh for the first time in weeks.
And from then on, he had been a constant in your life.
You played Space Invaders until your hands hurt, stole treats from the kitchen on midnight missions, and spent hours in his basement (his mother’s) listening to records of bands he insisted were the best in the world. You knew he had tough moments, but he never let it show. He masked the pain with jokes and speed, and you loved him for it—the lightness he brought to your chaotic world.
Now, his absence felt like a hole in your chest.
On the third day, you were sitting on the living room sofa, staring at a book you hadn’t managed to get past the first paragraph, when you heard Kurt and Ororo talking in the distance. A draft of air carried his words to you.
“Peter didn’t show up for training again today,” Kurt said, his voice full of concern. “This isn’t like him.”
“He didn’t come to breakfast either,” Ororo replied. “Do you think he’s okay?”
Your heart sank the moment their words reached you. It was as if the world had stopped, leaving only the deafening sound of guilt pounding in your ears.
Peter wasn’t okay.
You knew that.
Rising, you left the room without saying a word, ignoring the curious looks from the others. Each step felt heavier than the last, but you knew what you needed to do.
Deep down, you already knew where to find him.
The Maximoff house had a peculiar charm that always made you smile. A mix of the '70s, nostalgia, and controlled chaos that perfectly suited Peter. But today, as you climbed the steps to the porch, your heart was too heavy to be swayed by the usual sense of comfort.
At the door, holding the stack of sweets and the pizza box—the favorite of both of you, with extra pepperoni and that crispy crust Peter always called “a gift from the gods”—you took a deep breath before knocking.
Mrs. Maximoff opened the door almost immediately, with her warm smile and curious eyes. “Oh, dear! It’s been a while since I’ve seen you!” she exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug.
“Hi, Mrs. Maximoff,” you said, trying to keep your voice steady.
She stepped back, holding your face for a moment. “You look... tired. Are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine. Actually, I came to see Peter.”
Her expression softened, but her eyes shone with a touch of concern. “He’s in the basement. He spends most of his time down there lately.” She hesitated before adding, “He misses you, you know? And so do I. You bring good energy to this house.”
Her words were simple, but they hit hard. You gave a small, shy smile and a “Thank you,” before heading down to the basement, your heart pounding too fast in your chest.
As you descended the steps, a familiar soundtrack began to fill the space: the sound of an intense pinball game, interspersed with muffled music from a nearby radio.
Peter was in his element.
The first thing you noticed was the speed. He darted back and forth across the basement in a typical frenzy, alternating between playing the arcade game, taking bites of a Twinkie, and making quick adjustments to the stack of vinyl records by the old record player.
For a moment, he passed by too quickly, the movement so fast it looked like a silver blur. But even so, he paused long enough to take a good look at you. He noticed the dark circles under your eyes, the tired expression, and, most of all, the look of regret that seemed to weigh on you like a second skin. And, of course, you still looked beautiful as always, in one of those summer dresses that left your shoulders and collarbone on full display. God, he loved those dresses, and loved seeing you wearing them even more.
Peter went back to the arcade as if nothing had happened, but his game slowed down a bit, the movements less precise. It was enough for you to catch up.
He looked the same as always, but completely different. There was a crease between his eyebrows, his hair was tousled, and he looked disheveled.
You set the pizza and sweets on a makeshift table full of empty wrappers and called out, your voice wavering, “Peter, can we talk?”
He stopped pressing the buttons but didn’t turn around right away. For a moment, he stood there, his shoulders rigid, before straightening and turning to face you. “Sure. I’m all ears.” You felt small under his gaze.
The attempt to look nonchalant fooled no one. The tension in his jaw, the slight crease between his brows, and the arms crossed over his chest told another story.
You stepped forward, hesitating, really trying to find the right words. “I came to apologize. I was wrong, Peter. I was exhausted and overwhelmed, but that’s no excuse for yelling at you. I... I hurt you, and I’m sorry. You’re my best friend and... I really want things to go back to normal. For us to go back to how we were before.”
His eyes narrowed slightly, and he shook his head, letting out a long, heavy sigh. The gesture made your heart drop, as if you were falling off an endless cliff.
“No,” he said, his voice low but firm. A punch to the stomach wouldn’t have hurt as much.
“No?” you repeated, unable to hide the confusion and tightness that overtook you. Your heart sank in your chest, the feeling like falling.
Peter rubbed the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable, shifting his weight between his legs. “I don’t want things to go back to normal,” he explained, his voice even lower, almost a whisper.
You blinked, completely bewildered. “What does that mean?”
He took a step toward you but stopped, maintaining a small distance. His eyes met yours, and the intensity in his gaze made you hold your breath.
“It means that I’m sorry too,” he began, his voice heavy with emotion. “I shouldn’t have provoked you like that, especially when you were already exhausted. But... I do it because...” He stopped, clearly struggling to find the right words.
“Because what?” you urged, feeling your palms begin to sweat.
This was it—Peter was a tiny step away from ruining everything again. But damn it, he had to risk it. He couldn’t just pretend he wanted to be just friends. How could he? It was painful to be so close and so far away at the same time. He needed more; he wanted more.
“Because I like your attention, okay?” he finally blurted out, his voice louder than he intended. “I like when you look at me, even if it’s to tell me to shut up or roll your eyes. I like when you smile at my stupid jokes, even if you pretend you don’t find them funny. And, damn, I like being near you.”
“Peter…” you began, but he raised a hand to interrupt you.
“I know, I know,” he said, laughing nervously. “I’m terrible at this. That’s why I always hide everything behind jokes and teasing. But... it’s true. I like you. I really do. And I don’t want things to go back to normal, because, to be honest, ‘normal’ was never enough for me.”
You stood still, each of his words piercing deep into your chest, but in a sweet, almost painful way. He was there, completely vulnerable, and you didn’t know if it was possible to love him more than you did at that moment. Your heart slammed against your ribs with each painful beat.
He felt the same. Peter felt the same.
You felt tears prick your eyes, but you kept your gaze locked on him, taking in every word.
“You’re unbelievable, you know that?” you finally said, your voice heavy with emotion.
He raised an eyebrow. “Is that good or bad?”
“It’s annoying,” you replied, a small smile playing on your lips. “But it’s also… everything I needed to hear.”
His eyes widened slightly, shocked by your confession. “Really?”
You shrugged, feigning casualness, but your smile gave you away. “So, are you going to kiss me or keep stalling?”
The surprise on his face turned into a mischievous grin. “Oh, so now it’s me who’s stalling?”
“Peter,” you warned, but he was already closer, so fast that you barely noticed the movement.
His hands cupped your face, purposefully slow, still with a small smile curled on his lips as he moved closer and closer. Your eyes closed as you felt his breath intertwine with yours, his sweet breath making you imagine that his mouth must be even sweeter. Gently, his lips molded to yours, remaining that way for a moment before he pulled back. You felt his chest rise and fall unevenly, as if he had run around the planet. Peter murmured something, too fast for your ears to understand.
The next second his lips pressed against yours again, hungry. His hand went down your spine, firming on your waist to pull you closer, crushing you against his chest as his lips explored your mouth. You sighed as you felt his tongue, soft and warm, slide across yours, kissing you deeply. He kissed you for what could have been an eternity, stealing the air from your lungs, turning you into a fragile creature dependent on the caresses of that wicked mouth.
When you separated, he refused to stop kissing you, rubbing his lips along your jaw, leaving love bites on the side of your neck, adoring every part of you, as if to make up for all the lost time. Small noises of pleasure escaped your mouth, your knees barely seemed capable of keeping you upright, so your hands quickly found support on his broad shoulders. “Peter.” You sighed weakly, feeling your face heat as he straightened, leveling your faces. His mouth was red and swollen, with a crooked smile, his eyes darker than ever.
“I should do this more often,” he teased, his voice low and husky, his fingers still kneading the soft flesh of your waist.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t stop the smile. “Maybe.”
He chuckled, gently brushing your hair away from your face, looking at you more closely. “You’re tired, aren’t you?” he asked, his tone more serious now.
“A little,” you admitted, shrugging, afraid of ruining the moment.
“Then I think it’s time for you to rest.”
“But—” He didn’t allow any objections, guiding you to the bed nearby, wide enough for both of you. He settled down beside you, pulling you to lie against him. His fingers traced calming circles on your back. “You can’t send me away anymore, got it?”
You nodded, your face pressed against the curve of his neck, inhaling the familiar scent that dulled your senses. The accumulated exhaustion finally began to ease. “But I can still make you dance to ABBA in the street.” You joked, smiling as he shuddered dramatically.
“Do your worst, you little troublemaker.” He pressed a kiss to the top of your head, then another to your temple, and countless others until he reached your ear. “Ask me to stay,” he whispered, and just because he could, he nipped the sensitive skin just below.
You shivered, holding him tighter in your arms, feeling his chest vibrate with a silent laugh. Raising your face, you used your siren voice. “Stay with me, Peter.”
His eyes widened in surprise, staring at you for long seconds before his lips curled into a devilish grin. “Fuck, can you do that again? Please, we need to test your powers when—”
“Peter.” You cut him off with a laugh, burying your face back against his chest, feeling your cheeks burn at the direction the conversation had taken. “Later, okay? Can we just rest now?”
“You don’t have to ask twice, love.”
The familiar sense of security you always felt around him returned in full force, but this time there was something more. Something deeper, more intimate.
With your face pressed to his neck, you hesitated for a moment before placing a soft kiss there, a silent thank-you for everything he was.
Peter tightened his embrace, and for the first time in days, you felt whole.

Could i asked for a ScarLizzie x daughter reader fic please?
Lizzie is finally introducing R to her girlfriend Scarlett for the first time. (Hectic filming schedules have gotten in the way of the three meeting up)
R is deaf and Scarlett has been learning sign language in secret and both mother and daughter are delighted.
Scarlett soon becomes R's favourite person (other than her mummy of course). "You're nicer than daddy".
Or something like that
Please and thank you 😊

Y/N: 7 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV The day has finally come. Lizzie's introducing her girlfriend to her little daughter.
Scarlett and Lizzie have been dating for nearly a year now. Lizzie wanted to be sure with her relationship before she would introduce Scarlett to her daughter and when she finally decided it's time, her hectic filming schedule just didn't allow it.
But it's here now and Y/N's going to meet the woman that won her mother's heart. Y/N's been super excited to meet her mommy's girlfriend. She knows a lot about Scarlett from Lizzie, even saw some pictures of her and it's finally about to happen.
One thing leaves Scarlett nervous though… Y/N doesn't hear. Ever since Lizzie told her she's been learning sign language. And to be honest, she's doing quite well, yet she's still a little nervous about it.
Y/N's currently in the living room, playing with her toys while Lizzie's finishing cooking dinner. Hearing the doorbell Lizzie goes to open, smiling at the sight of her daughter while walking around her.
Lizzie greets her girlfriend with a hug and a kiss before she leads her to the living room where the little troublemaker is.
As soon as Y/N notices a movement in the living room, she lifts her eyes from the ground, locking them with her mommy's girlfriend's.
Before Lizzie can start signing her daughter anything, Scarlett stops her.
"I'll do it" Scarlett smiles, taking a deep breath before looking at the tiny girl in front of her. "Hi, Y/N. I'm Scarlett. It's so nice to meet you" Scarlett signs, Y/N immediately smiling widely.
Y/N signs 'nice to meet you too' back, making Scarlett smile even more while Lizzie is completely shocked.
"Since when you know ASL?" Lizzie asks confused.
"I started learning when you told me about Y/N" Scarlett smiles and just this gesture makes Lizzie fall in love with the blonde even more.
Everything goes great, the three have dinner together, Y/N and Scarlett always smiling at each other when they lock eyes.
———
Scarlett has surely become Y/N's favorite person, beside her mommy of course, and even best friends over the time Scarlett's been coming over every now and then.
The little Olsen is one hundred percent sure that Scarlett is the best one for her mommy and that made Lizzie really happy when Y/N admitted it a few days ago.
Scarlett's over right now, watching Y/N and playing with her as Lizzie needed to leave to buy some groceries as the fridge is completely empty.
Somehow Y/N ends up sitting on Scarlett's lap while playing which the blonde doesn't mind at all. She loves Y/N as her own already and the fact that Y/N feels comfortable around her makes her happy.
All of a sudden Y/N looks up at the older woman, giving her an adorable smile which Scarlett returns.
"You're nicer than daddy" Y/N signs, warming Scarlett's heart while tears fill her eyes.
Y/N's father isn't the best, but also isn't the worst. He stops by every now and then to check up on his daughter, yet Y/N isn't as comfortable around him as she is around Scarlett.
Scarlett can't help but just pull the tiny girl in for a hug, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. And once they pull away, she signs her response. "You're the sweetest little girl I've ever met. I love you, Y/N"
And she means every single word. Y/N really has a special place in her heart by now, just like Scarlett does in Y/N's.
"I love you too" Y/N smiles adorably, melting Scarlett's heart even more.
What they don't know is that Lizzie's already standing at the doorframe. She's seen the whole interaction and she couldn't be more happy.
Both girls notice when Lizzie approaches them, taking a seat next to them.
"I love you both so much" Lizzie smiles, saying it out loud while signing and making both of her girls smile widely before Y/N practically jumps into her mommy's arms to give her a cuddle and show her how much she loves her.
It's safe to say that Y/N's absolutely thrilled about her mommy having such an amazing girlfriend who's so far the best friend she's ever had, except for her mommy of course.
They surely have a bright time ahead of them and all three are more than excited to see what the future holds for them.

Bakugou x Black!reader
A/N | I feel like I did a pretty good job with this. I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
You didn't know what to say. Staring at him as he lays on your chest like a son would lay on his mother. You were shocked. Even throughout your near year and a half month relationship, he has never initiated touch like this. During a night full of deep conversations and wine, he had revealed to you that the idea of someone touching him further than a pat on the back or high five made him writhe in his skin. You respected it through and through, but for some reason, you couldn’t shake the feeling of sadness that sat in the back of your mind.
It struck something in your heart to see him making an effort to show affection towards you, to show you that he really cared in a way he wasn't suited to. You loved seeing how he would slowly reach his arms around you to reciprocate a hug. He knew physical touch meant the world to you. He didn’t understand why, but he told himself that he didn’t need to, that he only needed to try his best to make you feel appreciated in the way he knew you would see.
It was an unsuspecting, rainy day when he entered your shared apartment. You were immersed in a book for an assignment due in the coming days, blasting music through your headphones.
You weren’t paying attention to your surroundings, and he didn’t blame you for it. He couldn’t, for he knew you wholeheartedly felt it unnecessary to be ‘constantly on guard’. You told him that it wasn’t good for the soul to be in a frequent state of paranoia. He knew you only told him this to avoid a lecture when he scared you as you were walking down the hallway leading to the laundry room shared by everyone in the apartment complex.
He tapped you gently on the shoulder, effectively and unsurprisingly making you jump. “What the hell!” You squealed, putting a hand to your chest. He doesn’t tell you off like he usually does, instead just looking at you with glossed over eyes and drooping shoulders. “Babe, what's wrong?” You questioned, taking your airpods out and putting them in their respective place. He doesn’t answer, opting to lay, almost collapse, onto your chest and torso. He wraps his arms around you and buries his face into the valley of your breasts.
Your eyes widen in shock. He’s never done something like this. What almost stuns you more is his scent. He took a shower at Best Jeanists’ agency. He nevers does that, only resorting to cleaning himself there when he’s too covered in the labors of his day to comfortably walk home. You were about to ask him what was wrong, but then you feel a tear dampen your shirt. More start to follow, and before the two of you knew it, he was full on sobbing. He hiccups and sniffles as his arms come around your waist, circling you as if you were going to disappear if he didn’t hold on tight enough. You freeze, not knowing how to go about this the right way as to not make the situation any worse. You wanted to cry yourself, seeing the love of your life be so sad. But instead, one hand goes to his back, and the other to his head, caressing him in a comforting manner. He cries his heart out, and you let him, continuing to soothe him in the best way you know how.
Eventually, the sobs turn silent, and the pair of you lay there in silence, not daring to say a word. You go on with your ministrations, stroking his head reassuringly. You hope he gets the message of your actions, that he understands that whatever happened, you’re here. You sigh a breath of relief when he lifts his head, gazing into your eyes. He sighs, asking if the two of you can talk about it in the morning. You agree almost instantly, telling him to not worry about it. And you sit there with him in silence, simply basking in the presence of each other until you fall asleep.
You wake up to find yourself in a room with no one besides yourself. Rubbing your eyes, you walk into the kitchen to find him washing dishes, back facing you. You walk forwards, standing next to him in a silent way of saying good morning. He turns the water off and sighs, not knowing where to start. “Yesterday… I was at work when…” He stops in his tracks, rubbing a tired hand across his face. You could tell he was getting frustrated, so you don’t say anything, only looking at him while he tries to formulate his words. “While I was patrolling yesterday, some shit broke out outta nowhere, and this kid ended up dying.” He pauses, groaning at the memory. “I was with him the whole time, and he was talking about how he couldn’t wait to see mom because they were supposed to watch a movie together when she picked him up. He couldn’t have been more than six, and he just… bled out, right in front of me. And what hurt the most was that I couldn’t do shit about it, and I just had to tell him that it was gonna be okay when he knew it wasn’t. He knew I was lying, but he had a smile on his face the whole time. ” A tear slips down your cheek, and you rush towards him. “I am so sorry Kat.” You say, and he knows you mean it.
You hug him, and he hugs you back. And he hurts, he hurts so bad. But he feels as though he can feel better in your embrace. It doesn’t make him nauseous to feel your body on his anymore, and it makes the pain a little bit better. You make him a little better.

promises, lies (alice wu-gulliver)
Tumblr media
summary: your big sister was everything you had, especially after lorna’s passing. what happens when she breaks the biggest promise she’s been making to you since you were little?
fic type: angst
pairings: alice wu-gulliver x deaf!sister!reader (family)
warnings: angst, mentions of ableism, kids being real bitchy, sadness, feelings of abandonment, major character death (alice), grief, heartbreak
word count: 1.3k
Tumblr media
You lived in a world of silence until your third birthday, your third birthday was where you could hear the sound of your sister’s voice, your mother’s songs, the birds outside and the roaring sea.
Yet with the silence gone, it somehow remained. Where others made friends quite quickly, you were turned away from every social setting. Perhaps it was because of the way you spoke, the method of speaking—ASL?
You were six years old, in a new neighbourhood. Summer had just begun and you really wanted to play football with the others outside, since a few kids had invited you at school that day.
Alice, your 16 year old sister, watched as you ran outside excitedly, football in hand, going to the street outside where people played usually.
But nobody came.
You stood there on the empty street, with nothing but wilted lawns and blistering heat occupying you. You kicked the ball a few times, before giving up and sitting down on the curb, holding it in your hands. The shaking of your shoulders showed that you were crying, and it was an instant reaction from Alice to rush outside and tap your shoulder for your attention.
She put out her hand and smiled, helping you up.
“Play with me,” she signed to you, speaking at the same time. “You don’t need those kids, they’re probably really bad at football,”
You sniffled and nodded, feeling her thumbs brush over your cheeks, wiping your tears.
“We put the tears away, yes?” She asked, smiling down at you, making you grin.
You both spent the afternoon like that—playing football together in the empty street with nothing but wilted lawns and blistering heat to spectate.
A year later you came home angry, holding a pair of broken hearing aids in your hands.
“What happened?” Alice asked, tapping your head for your attention.
“Bullies,” You signed back, frowning.
The very next day, the same boys produced a new pair of hearing aids for you, sporting black eyes and busted lips.
The day was bleak—Lorna was dead. You knew she had died, but to keep you from spiralling, Alice tapped your shoulder and knelt to your height.
Her own eyes shining with unshed tears, she signed, smiling through it, “Let’s go for ice cream?”
You brightened and nodded, going to her car excitedly, sitting in the front seat.
“Britney?” She signed, grinning at you, making you nod.
So she turned on the radio, shouting off-key lyrics with you as she just drove, drove, drove.
Where trouble threatened to lay a hand on you, Alice fought it away. She was the one between you and the world. She was the one who kissed the scraped knees, the one who held your hand through everything. She never left your side, not once, for your whole life.
The Thursday evening was stressful for her. She had gotten fired again, and it was not any consolation that she’d been almost recruited in the infamous Agatha Harkness’ coven.
“Hi, Trouble,” she signed after tapping on your head, smiling.
“Hi,” you smiled and signed back, giggling as she tickled your sides gently.
You watched how her demeanour was sagging, and how she looked ready to cry.
“You’re okay?” You asked, head tilted. “Need something?”
She thought for a moment before nodding. “Hug me?”
You nodded with agreement, and did just that, squeezing her tightly as she hugged you, inhaling her pumpkin spice perfume, tucking your nose into her neck.
When she pulled back, she sighed and sat down in front of you, her eyes closed for a moment as if she was composing herself.
“Y/n,” she signed, speaking at the same time. “I have to leave for some time,”
Your eyes widened. “Leave? For how much time?”
“A week at most,” she admitted. “Maybe more, I’m not sure,”
You scowled, “Can I not come?”
She shook her head. “It wouldn’t be a good idea,”
“Why? Because of me being deaf?”
“I didn’t say that,”
She sighed. She knew this would be a hard conversation.
"Listen," she said. "If I go on this road, I can help you get your hearing back,"
That wasn't entirely true--what she wanted out of the road was answers, not solutions. But how else was she to convince her little sister that she had to go on this journey, like it or not?
You nodded slowly. "Is it full of danger?"
"Yeah," she nodded. "Full of it,"
You nodded slowly, possibilities rushing through your head as she waited for your response.
"You're leaving me," you concluded. "But you promise to come back?"
She smiled and nodded holding up her pinky. "I promise,"
As you linked your fingers, she leaned forward to press a kiss to the knuckles, 'sealing' the promise.
And so you waited for her return, day in, day out, wondering where she was, how she was, what she was doing.
You were always in awe of your older sister. It was a fact. But one night, you had a dream--a flash of orange and purple, the sight of a bony face. Death.
Before you could think of anything, you grabbed your shoes and ran, your body tingling, your mSind heavy with the weight of something unfamiliar. You stumbled and tripped through the darkness, caring little about the branches in your face and hair.
On the Road, as Alice fell to the ground, you felt pain--white hot pain coursing through your veins, igniting your body with every passing second, making an agonised scream rip through your throat.
She appeared when you cried, when there was a river of sorrow, of grief, spilling down your cheeks.
Rio knelt, her hands in full view as she signed and spoke. "I'm sorry,"
"Sorry?" You signed shakily. "Sorry means nothing from you,"
She didn't flinch, didn't wince. While you weren't the first mortal to say this to her, it stung because there was the underlying tone of a broken promise.
"You took her from me!" You signed, sobbing. "She was my everything, and you took her!"
"It was her time," she replied simply.
"Flip the hourglass," you scowled. "Have you no mercy?"
"I showed mercy when I took her away,"
"You're a creature who is evil, evil and incapable of mercy,"
She looked down. As she had taken Alice to the afterlife, she was rambling over and over, "I promised, I promised, I promised,"
"She promised," you said, signing with trembling hands. "She promised she would come back, she wouldn't leave like this!"
"She died protecting someone--" she began but you gripped her hands tightly--the deaf equivalent to silencing someone.
"She died protecting someone? Someone she'd known only a few days? What about me? She was only supposed to protect me, I'm her sister!" You exclaimed, angry. "Why did she abandon me for someone she doesn't know?!"
Rio pulled you into her arms, nodding, able to feel your pain. It was nothing she hadn't seen before--only that two words made things worse.
She promised.
Promises were like the breeze--there one day, gone the next. But this promise bore the weight of a sunken ship, of a home burnt to the ground, of a bullet to the heart. Your pain was burning, it was bubbling, it was demanding to be felt in the worst possible way.
Because she promised.
You beat at Rio's chest with your fists, exclaiming curses and hateful words. You pushed at her, kicked at her, tried to do something, but her hold was heavy. Her arms were tight, and you couldn't escape it. But when she put her chin atop your head, the way Alice used to do, you broke--the tears not stopping, sobs making your throat go hoarse.
Your mind flashed with images, of her laughing, of her smiling. You thought of that summer afternoon, kicking around a ball and talking about the neighbourhood kids. You thought of the time you tried baking a cake on mother's day, only to make a pit stop at the baker's on your way to get flowers. You remembered the boys with their black eyes and the new hearing aids, you remembered all the times in the past, the good, the bad, the ugly.
There was always one thing in common--when everyone left, Alice always stayed. That was the fact.
But sometimes things change, people die, promises break.
You just wished it wasn't this one.

Narcissists are a special breed of people. Concerned about themselves and how they look. Charismatic and welcoming to the outside world. But to their inner circles? Their families? They see the hidden truth.
Having one as a parent is a specific kind of hell. It's underhanded comments and insults masked with laughter like it's a joke. It's always having your privacy invaded to make sure you aren't getting any ideas or talking about them in a negative light.
It's giving up on fighting because it's easier to just do what they say, to give up any semblance of control over your own life. Always being exhausted because you're either arguing or watching any kind of hope for life you had wither away.
The optimal thing to do is try and tell someone, but nobody believes because they can't see the evidence. They don't see the way her mom dresses her up like a doll or the comments whispered in her ear. They don't know that behind the closed bathroom door, her mother pokes and tugs at her skin and forces her to watch in the mirror. They don't know the control it takes to make herself not eat from such a tender age. Always trying to fit into the clothes that are too small for her. Purposely purchased that way.
She learns to love the compliments when her mother gives them. As her body whittles away into nothingness.
She meets Oscar while in a fragile state. Dolled up for some fancy dinner she's attending with her mother. Some kind of business thing with McLaren.
She's always thought the reason they had so much money was because they don't eat. It's how they have extra to invest into whatever they choose. Her father likes money and her mom likes appearances. A lovely combination that she's caught in-between.
She orders a salad for appearances. Nobody can see what's truly going on. They'd asl questions if she acts strange. She takes small bites and pokes around anything on it that might hold a few extra calories.
She makes conversation with herself in her head. Missing the looks the Australian driver is throwing her way.
They attend the race that weekend. Guests to the McLaren garage. She tries to avoid anything that even remotely looks like a camera since it adds five pounds to the image of her.
Saturday after qualifying is when Oscar finally starts a conversation. An encouraging nod from Lando has him making confident strides towards her.
He offers her a tour and she accept. Her mother isn't paying too much attention to her. Not like she ever does unless she looks acceptable in her loose-fitting clothes, so nobody says anything.
Oscar is nice. He makes good conversation with her. It's different to the people her parents approved of. Oscar asks her about her interests and reciprocates with his own.
They agree to a date after the race on Sunday. He takes her to some park he'd discovered over the weekend.
She hides it away. Desperate to keep this one thing for herself. Untouched by her parents.
She texts Oscar far more than necessary. Her co-workers notice how her mood lightens.
He comes to see her at every opportunity he can. she can't seem to get away from her parents. Every time she tries it ends badly. Then they get suspicious and start looking through her things.
Oscar takes her to eat a few times. She keeps up appearances. It's strange that someone is encouraging her to eat. Oscar looks soft every time she indulges in the foods that had been restricted for her entire life.
Her mother notices. Because every calorie shows. Like somehow, she knows every time she puts any kind of food in her mouth.
Oscar spends summer break staying with her. She takes a deep breath introducing him to her parents. They play nice in front of him.
Afterwards is a different story. They catch her alone in the hall and pull her away. They lecture her about not knowing anything about him and how he won't be any good for her.
She sleeps separate from him all summer. She keeps her distance physically. He doesn't notice how far gone she is.
Oscar asks her to come with him. To drop what she's doing and travel the world with him.
She acts on a whim. She leaves everything and follows Oscar around the world.
He figures is out eventually. He knew, always had, but he sees how bad it is. Her resolve breaks, she doesn't know how to combat these thoughts in her head. They are overwhelming, they eat away at her in the form of depriving herself.
But Oscar is a patient soul. He works at her pace.
Oscar comes up behind her when she gets lost staring at her flaws in the mirror. He doesn't drag her away; he points out every beautiful make she has, every perfection like it's a drug to him.
He asks about confronting her mother; about defending her and setting some hard boundaries. She begs him not to. They cut contact and leave it at that.
It's different being with someone who doesn't care what she eats. Who doesn't make a big deal about when she pokes at her food or indulges in a favorite snack.
It's amazing what happened when one has a decent support system. When she is able to look for Oscar when she's stuck staring in the mirror and picking at her skin. When he stays with her despite relapses that make her sick.
Oscar still holds and compliments and makes sure she knows she's loved despite it all. He tells her that seeing her smile is worth every weird joke he tells.
He's doing what her parents should've done. And maybe one day she'll see that she never needed their approval, that she has always been perfect. But for now, Oscar is there to make sure she knows she's enough for him exactly as she is.

Mother tried her best :ASL x Ex-Member of the roger pirates.
Type: angst, mother love, death, Marine ford, Spoilers, fem reader.
A/n: it's a bit crappy at the end but I tried.
-------------------------------------------------
How did I get here again? Right...to save him...but why is he sitting there, stunned?
"Luffy, Ace why are you crying?"
.
.
.
"A chosen one?" Y/N repeated her captain's words, "one who will surpass us," Roger clarified further. Y/N and Raylight exchanged glances before smiling/smirking at their captain.
"I wonder if it's going to be my son" Roger inquired, "You do not have a son?" Raylight interjected, "How about Shanks and Buggy? There kids" Y/N reminded, "that's true HAHAHAHA" oden, Roger, Raylight and the rest laughed together.
.
.
.
"Y/N shanks stole my stuff again!" yelled Buggy, running towards her and hugging her with teary eyes to gain sympathy. "It does not have your name on it!" showted shanks while running after him, "can't the two of you share?" She said, picking up the buggy by the back of his shirt, "No, it is mine!" Buggy protested, and when Shanks caught up, he was also grabbed by the back of his shirt, "What is this thing you are fighting over anyway?" starting to get impatient she finally asked taping her foot on the ground, "it's a treasure! A mysterious box!" shanks answered first as buggy nodded and finished the sentence,"and it needs a key!".
How can you say no when they forgot what they were fighting about and, after setting them down, she requested that they show her the box......"Where did you get this, boys?" A simple question with a serious tone...."I told you we would get caught!" whispered yelled buggy to shanks "we haven't been caught yet" answered shanks in a similar tone, "IDIOTS!! YOU WENT TO ME AND TOKI ROOM AND TOOK MY STUFF!" hitting them on the head, BY began scolding them for both stealing and lying, "Are you sorry?" Another question with dead seriousness, "Yes, we are very sorry," answering in union. NY sat next to them and grabbed the small box. "You could have asked, but it is a music box." Pulling out a key, she opened it and turned it on, allowing them to enjoy it for some time.
.
.
.
"so it's true that garp hid a kid here?" she said looking at the 7 year old Ace, "the hell you want?" he barked at her, "the names YN and......." a small moment of hesitant crossed her before she answered "I am your aunt"
.
.
.
It happened quickly and without thinking. "Why did you do it?" Ace screamed, "Why did you push me away!"....right, that magma man tried to attack Luffy Ace, and she wanted to take the hit...but she pushed him away, and that is how she got a hole in her chest.......but why did she remember Shanks and Buggy instead of these two in this moment...is it because they are so far apart? So she believes that everyone is on her side right now?...... "I told you not to put yourself in harm's way in a fight, and Luffy, we are in a war right now, so do not let your guard down or you could get *Uhhahg*!" Without realizing it, she started scolding them until she threw up blood and fell to her knees. "MOTHER!" The two shouted as they snapped out of their shock, holding her falling body, "Why am I always surrounded by kids?" "Y-y-your injuries are going to be fine, I-I can find a solution...Marco, where is he?" With Ace falling into panic Luffy was trying to keep it together, "Ace, it is no use..." With a weakened voice, she tried to stop him: "NO!" "There must be something we can do-mph!" She hit his head with her fists to wake him up, then hugged him tightly.
When the brothers returned the gesture, she finally said, "Do not cry....it will be okay...try to get out of here..." "We can not leave you here...mom," luffy said, interrupting her.
"My beloved son, I love you. I am sorry I can not see you achieve your dreams. Please grow strong and remain humble." The last of her strength was summoned, and she consoled her children while sobbing and saying, "The old era ends here you two are a part of the future so go on live!" Looking at her two crying children one more time, Yn finally saw the cold light as it faded from her eyes. Hearing distant shouts of her children, she thought as a final word of comfort to herself, '....mother tried her best...'

ASL X MOTHER READER
Sabo finds out his mother death.
Two years ago, Sabo and Koala came back from their trip, and they're returning to Baltigo. When they went inside, they saw people running in the hallways.
Sabo doesn't know what's going on. "Oh, chief of staff! You came at the right time!"
"Come to the situation room now!"
"The Paramount War between the Navy and the whitebeard pirate has ended!" Everyone was reading about the outcome of the Summit War of Marineford.
"A kaiju was Paramount War?!" Everyone was shocked, "it says shin godzilla, use atomic breath, and blast the war before dapeare"
"The navy has a lot of casualties, too. Seems like it was a hard battle as expected."
"What about ivan-san?! Is she alright?!"
"It doesn't say she died or anything"
"The one who died in the war is..."
"(L/N)... (Y/N)..."
Sabo heart dropped when he heard that name.
"What?! (Y/N) the devil child?! Nobody heard from her!"
"Yeah, it said... she died from protecting fire fist ace and Straw Hat luffy."
"But more importantly, Dragon-san, look..."
"Is it true?! Is straw hat luffy your son?!"
"Hm? Yes, he is." Said dragon, everyone was shocked. Sabo picked up the newspaper and saw her face, her smiling face. Sabo eyes went wide, and he began to remember.
"I'm gonna become a pirate... and defeat others and become infamous! It'll be the only proof of my life! It doesn't matter if all people in the world reject me or despise me!"
Sabo started to remember ace voice.
"A boy would be the son of royal. But you, sabo. Shall be mine."
He rember his mother voice, and rember how she sang him lullaby. Sabo slams the desk as he begins to tear up. "Sabo-kun, what's wrong?! You're acting strange!" Koala asks.
"I can't believe that Ace was Gold' Roger's son... and (Y/N) was his step mom..."
"It says that luffy was also his (Y/N) stepmother..."
"Did you guys know?! They say Akainu punched a hole right through her body! (Y/N) was the government want a hands-on."
Sabo cries and cries when he remembers another memory.
"We can become brothers if we exchange this cup of sake!" Said ace.
"Brothers?! Really?!" Luffy asks.
"When we become pirates, we might not be on the same ship, but our brotherhood will always be with us! So, from now on, we're brothers!"
"Yeah!"
"Are you alright, sabo?!" Hack asks, sabo still tearing up, then he let out a scream, yelling.
"MAMA!!!!!"
"Sabo-kun!"
"Sabo!"
'Now I know... the one who died wasn't some unknown person... she wasn't just a threat in the pirate era that needed to be eliminated! Or be the world government slave!' Sabo thought, remembering all the memories of his mother.
"Sabo, welcome home!"
"(Y/N) is my... mother!"
A few years passed, and sabo went his mother grave, with much flowers and notes on them.
"I finally... managed to get here... mom." sabo put the flower down, then he took out some newspaper. " Look at this. Luffy started to make his way to become the king of the pirate again. And ace join in, too."
"It's so ironic. Since you've been gone, the old memories keep recurring to me vividly. I now belong to the Revolutionary Army."
"My colleague, ivankov, told me what happened in marineford in detail. And... how... you sacrifice yourself."
"I guess you, luffy, and Ace are mad at me." Sabo started to cry, "I couldn't go save you... I'm sorry! I wish... I wish I could've seen you again while you were alive! I'm gonna inherit your will!" He said.
"Luffy and ace is our family!" Sabo, stand up and walk out.
Now, sabo knows about his mother past and her home. His goal is to find her home before the government finds it.

"On foot
I had to cross the solar system
before I found the first thread of my red dress.
I sense myself already.
Somewhere in space hangs my heart,
shaking in the void, from it stream sparks
into other intemperate hearts."
--Edith Södergran, 'On Foot I Had to Cross the Solar System'
On one unfortunate night when you were seven, a drunk driver hit your parents car. Your mother on the passenger side died instantly, your father later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. You were injured severely, but the doctors managed to keep you alive... At the cost of your voice. Chunks of glass tore through and stabbed your neck; the damage to your larynx was the worst, the second was nerve damage. You could speak in a very harsh, almost whisper-like, voice but it caused an intense amount of pain. You were upset. You hated that driver for what they took from you.
Your aunt and uncle took you in, and were able to help you adjust as you grew. They learned and taught you sign language, they helped you cope with the loss of your parents as best they could, and were always supportive. Despite their work lives keeping them away, they always tried their best to give you attention when they had the free time.
You found ways to enjoy life again, particularly in the stars. They were almost comforting to you when you were alone, looking out your bedroom window. You weren't sure why you have such an affinity for space and what it holds. Maybe because your father brought you out at night to point out all the constellations and their stories. Those moments with him started your interest. And now, you believed your parents were amongst the many stars in the vast universe.
You grew content with not having a voice. You adapted and overcame the curveball life sent your way. You just wished the pain wasn't constantly lingering.
---
It was the day you started going to your new highschool in Forks. It wasn't ideal transferring to a different school, but your uncle's job called for it. He was a firefighter and he was offered a sizable pay increase and rank promotion to fire captain if he took up the position for the Forks station. Your aunt, a nurse, was able to transfer to Forks hospital. They discussed the idea of moving with you of course, and you not wanting to hinder your uncle's promotion or damper his excitement, you supported the move from California to Washington.
You could already tell this rinky dink school wouldn't have anyone that understands ASL and the school said they are still looking to hire someone to be an interpreter of sorts, so you were mentally preparing yourself for the mess you may be entering. At least you transferred only three weeks into the new school year, that would make any school work you needed to catch up on relatively easy. It also helped it was your senior year as well.
As soon as you got out of your car, all of the heads of the student body snapped in your direction. You guess they've never seen a new kid before. You make your journey towards the building, hoping that no one would bother to talk to you. You already saw a teen walk up to you, he had straight black hair and a toothy grin.
"Hi, I'm Eric. You're the new kid." He seemed friendly.
You offer a little wave and sign, hoping he would get the inclination you could not speak.
"Shit... I don't know sign except..." He gave you the sign sorry before pointing to his ears and back to you. You shook your head and tapped your throat. "Oh! You can't speak." You nodded. "Sorry about all the confusion. Welcome to Forks High, home of the Spartans. I'm pretty much the eyes and ears."
You simply nod along when necessary and smiled as he gave you the very quick run down of most of the immediate gossip of school, which was centered around you, the new kid. He seemed like a nice guy but glancing at the clock you passed by in the hall you knew it was close to your first class.
"And don't get me started on the Cul-What?" You interrupted him as you held out your schedule to him, pointing to your first class. "Oh yeah, guess class is starting soon. Lets see... you're in 103 for English with Mr. Baker which is..." He glanced up. "Right down the hall. I have History right next door."
You smile at his help and follow him through the sea of students.
You wave Eric goodbye and enter classroom 103. You felt eyes of everyone land on you, but none more eye-catching or captivating as the gold pair near the back of the classroom. His gaze was intense, eyes wide, as he stared at you. You held his gaze. You weren't sure what to think at the moment but before anything could come to mind, an older gentleman walked in and stole your attention. You assumed correctly this was Mr. Baker.
---
Edward was the first to arrive for his first period class. He was always punctual, but there was a difference now. He no longer had Bella in tow.
It was a mutual end to their quick relationship. While her blood did appeal to him greatly, the fastness of their relationship hurt them both emotionally at the end. It was purely fascination of each others beings that they mistake as something else. While it did hurt, Edward could admit to himself he wasn't distraught over it. They remained friends and he was content with that.
Slowly, other students began filling the classroom as the clock ticked on. Everyone filling seats they usually sat in despite there being no assigned seating. No one ever sat next to him, often feeling intimidated by his status as a Cullen. The vampire paid them no mind, occupying his attention to watching the typical Forks rain traverse down the window he always sat by. He tuned out everyone's thoughts the best he could, letting his usual melancholy about his nature linger in his mind.
Edward perked up when he heard an fast-beating heart breakthrough his attempts of zoning out. Shifting his focus to the doorway his eyes latched on to the new student.
You.
It didn't take reading thoughts to feel the buzz of a new student arriving in the small school.
He felt... strange. Much like with Bella, your scent invaded his senses and made him thirsty, yet, that wasn't what caught his immediate attention.
It was the eyes. Something about them captivated Edward. He wasn't sure what about them had him staring at you, who now stared back at him. The vampire attempted to discern your thoughts and he caught an inkling of curiosity starting to bleed out before the teacher took your attention away.  His stayed on you, and didn't pay him any mind or had any idea he wad, and focused his enhanced hearing on the conversation.
"Hello, new student?" The teacher greeted and softly spoke your name. The auburn haired male watched as the you nodded.
Edward's curiosity peaked when he finally heard their thoughts, clear as the days outside of Forks.
"Yes, that's me. Do you know sign?" He heard their thoughts as he watched their hands easily relay in sign language. I'm expecting a no they internally sighed.
"Oh shoot I wasn't told..." A worried look passed on the teachers face as his sentence trailed off. Edward can hear his thoughts complain that the school failed to inform him about the new student outside their name and grade. A look of exasperation briefly flashed on your face.
Who would of fucking thought Forks High, a small-ass school, would not inform their teachers. Fantastic. Wonderful. I love it. It was a pointed statement that had Edward both mildly shocked at the language and pretty amused. I wonder how much others outside of Eric will put up with me here.
Edward sighed. He knew he shouldn't involve himself with another human but he couldn't help it. Whatever captivated him and the resignation you mentally expressed already had moved him. He got up from his spot and quickly moved to the front of the classroom.
"Apologies, I don't mean to cut in but I know sign."
---
You blink at the golden-eyed student he approached you and the teacher. You felt a grateful smile tug on your lips as you faced him. Immediately, you felt some appreciation and felt good about being wrong on your previous assumption.
"Thank you, Edward." Mr. Baker smiled in relief. Edward gave the teacher a small, tight lipped smile at him and faced you. The teacher introduced you to him. "And this is Edward Cullen."
"I'm sorry for any inconvenience." Edward spoke as you signed, his voice soft and velvety. Observing his face, you watched as his brows furrow at your statement, which became almost a second nature for you due to the way your previous school treated you. You often faced irritated glances or your existence ignored entirely outside the feo close friends you accumulated.
"Please relay to them-" Mr. Baker spoke but you immediately shook your head and held up a hand.
"I am neither deaf or hard of hearing, sir. I just can't speak." Edward translated for you again. "I look forward to class with you both." A smile appeared on his face again.
"You too. And you aren't being an inconvenience at all. It's the fault of the school, really." Mr. Baker offered a kind smile. Edward left the two of you, as if knew he wouldn't be needed again. "Take a seat wherever you want, I don't do assigned seating unless it becomes an issue." Mr. Baker gave you a kind smile and gestured for you to pick out a seat, while he moved to the classroom computer. You take a glance around, only seeing three spots open.
Your eyes landed on the one next to Edward, causing you to perk up. Though, you hesitated, his small smile and the single, subtle nod assured you it was fine to sit by him. Holding your backpack strap a little tighter, you move between desks to join him.
---
Edward watched as you sat next to him. You offered him a quick smile before you started pulling out your notebook and your small pencil case. You didn't look over at him as you stared up at the board, waiting for class to start.
The vampire was curious and while he knew it was an invasion of privacy, he couldn't help but try and focus in on more of your thoughts. Except he was met with...
What? His brows furrowed. Edward felt overwhelmed for a moment, his sense felt almost deprived as he tried peering in your mind again.
Edward suddenly saw what he perceived as a galaxy. Stars, planets, moons, a sun... it was vast and it was breathtaking. It wasn't something he never saw before, this detailed, in a humans mind. He was able to view this scene for just a few fleeting moments until he suddenly felt warm energy push against his mind.
The vampire blinked. His presence was back in classroom 103. He glanced toward you. Paying close attention, he didn't see anything that indicated you were in any way aware of what just occured. He heard the teacher swear under his breath as he attempted to get the projector working, and used this moment to speak with you.
Softly, he called your name, bringing your attention to him.
"How are you liking Forks?" Edward recognized he was a bit awkward, but you gave no inclination that you minded or judged him.
"It's wet. But I don't mind it. The scenery is nice." You signed and it was as if the cosmos that warded him from your thoughts was lifted. Hearing your thoughts again after being blocked out by the cosmos left him perplexed and curious.
"Forks does have its charm in scenery." He chuckled. "But I assume that isn't why you moved?"
"No, but it definitely is a bonus." You smiled. "My uncle got a promotion so we moved up from California."
"What does he do?"
"He is now the fire captain here."
Edward had a kind smile and offered a small congratulations to him. He then spoke again, "What does your class schedule look like?"
You reached into your zip up hoodie pocket and pull out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it, you slid it to his desk. His golden eyes scanned the paper and he felt some sort of happiness that your schedules almost align completely. The only class difference was your last two classes, which would have you taking gym and history without him.
"Looks like we will be seeing each other a lot. We have almost all the same classes."
That's a relief. Edward suppressed a smile at your thoughts. I hope we can be at least friendly with one another.
"Since we have most of our classes together, would you like to be friends?" He asked. He could already hear Rosalie scolding him for getting involved with another human, but he didn't particularly care what she would think.
You were another anomaly to his, otherwise, stationary life. He has no plans to try and initiate a quick romantic relationship again. He simply was curious to the stars that lingered behind your eyes.
---
It was nearing lunchtime. You glanced out the window of your math class while the teacher closed out her lesson and began explaining what the homework was going to be. You were very grateful for Edward sticking by you in each course. He was able to help you talk to your teachers, answer and ask questions, and made Forks high a little more welcoming.
You had met two of his siblings in that time frame, Emmett and Alice, who were both a delight. Alice already expressed how much she was excited to finally get to know you, which you assumed she was wanting to meet the new kid, and Emmett offered to watch your back in gym with the biggest grin you've seen on a persons face. It also warmed your heart to find they also knew sign too.
The initial worry of being a forever outsider like before began melting away. So far things have been pleasant unlike your last experience.
As you mind wandered off to old school memories of bullies and loneliness, you were still unaware of Edward trying to discern your thoughts again. You missed the look of confusion and frustration on his face. Although, you did manage to hear him make a noise that sounded like frustration, which snapped your attention on him.
"Everything okay?" You ask him. He glanced up at the teacher who was now facing the board writing the homework down.
"Just... wanting class to be over." Edward gave you a tight lipped smile. "Mrs. Johnsons' classes are usually a bore."
You nodded with a smile and silent chuckle.
The class bell rang, signaling an end, and practically everyone ran out for lunch. You eyed the crowd trying to leave and shrug your shoulders. You scribbled down the equations Mrs. Johnson assigned before putting your class materials away and preemptively pulled out your brown bag lunch.
You glanced to Edward while you both stood up. You weren't sure if you should continue sticking by his side until it was time for your last two periods or find your own corner to decompress. Perhaps giving him a break from-
"Are you ready?" His soft voice cut through your thoughts. You blink, pausing for a moment, before nodding.
"Lead the way." You smiled, though you were sure it came off as nervous. There will be so many people...
"Would you like to sit with my family and I, or would you like to go somewhere quiet?" You looked at him a bit shocked, were you that easy to read? You could see the twitch of his lip like he was going to respond but he kept quiet.
"Somewhere quiet, just for today."
"Follow me then."
---
Rosalie sighed as she leaned against the table, waiting for her siblings to join her and Emmett for lunch. She then looked to her partner and leaned against him, who laughed and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Her golden eyes followed Bella's form with a glare as she sat down with her friends.
"Come on, babe. Her and Edward have no hard feelings." Emmett spoke in a quiet tone.
"It's still a danger to us." She grumbled.
"Nope! She still becomes a vampire like us." Alice suddenly sat down with a bright smile.  Jasper was quick to sit down next to her.
"Even after what happened with the Volturi and James?" Emmett asked.
"Yep. While the course of her and Edward's relationship definitely changed, she still becomes a part of our clan."
"Great." Rosalie rolled her eyes and then glanced around at the table. "Speaking of Edward, where is he?"
"Probably off with the new kid." Emmett smirked. "They seem pretty nice. Edward's been helping them since they can't speak."
"Another human?" She looked to her partner then to Alice. "Did you..."
"Have a vision of them? Yes. The day before Edward and Bella parted their romantic relationship, I had a vision of them coming to Forks. And then after meeting them, I saw them and Edward, looking pretty close." She smiled and giggled.
"Great, another human who is going to choose to be a vampire." Rose scoffed.
"Rosalie-" Alice's usually bright expression drops. Everyone at the Cullen table looked at her with worry as it appeared her eyes glaze over. Jasper immediately gripped her hand under the table as he could feel a wave of sadness wash over from her.
"Darling?" Jasper whispered.
Alice blinked rapidly. She looked to the others with a worried expression. "I... I didn't see the specifics but... It wasn't their choice."
It was silent between them. Rosalie's eyes were wide, Emmett clenched his fist under the table, Jasper tried his best to calm everyone, and Alice simply blinked and tried looking to the future again.
She could see you, crying and writhing as the venom from a bite on your arm took hold, blood all over you. Edward and Carlisle were right by your side, speaking. But she couldn't hear what they were saying.
All she heard was a high pitched ring.
And then the vision flashes a blinding white and she swears she could feel intense heat against her face.
She was back at the table again with her family. It was the same vision as before. Never had she seen such a bright light, heard such a noise, or felt anything like that from a vision.
"We have to talk to Carlisle."

Even if no one else comes. ASL Brothers
 𓂃Pairings: ASL Brothers x Big Sister!Reader, Father Figure!Shanks x Daughter of Consideration!Reader, Father Monkey D.Dragon x Daughter!Reader, Grandfather!Garp x Granddaughter!reader
𓈃Summary: What would it be like to be the older sister of the ASL brothers, and Luffy's older sister by blood? it would be many things but if you cared for your brothers with your soul, body and mind along with your heart it made Shanks want to protect you just like his father and grandfather and how would their reaction be when they found out that you are the keeper of eternity with a 50 Billion reward for Belly, who did horrible things but it wasn't you.
RAIDEN SHOGUN!READER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「 Time where everyone is still a child, Luffy 7 years old, Ace and Sabo 10 years old and Reader 13 years old」
⤑ Well, as you grew up caring for and protecting Luffy from everyone your biological father, Garp and Shanks got to know you first than everyone else
⤑ When Luffy wanted to prove his courage to Shanks and sent the knife in his face we say that you were like this: 🤨😐 to Shanks and when Makino took care of Luffy's wound Shanks was distracted and then you... hit him with a big slap doing his head hurt at least all day and he said that if he did shit to his little brother there would only be the straw hat left as the rest of him
⤑ After that day Shanks realized how you were the mother figure to Luffy and how you protected him with body and soul, from that day Shanks started to respect you as a real mother to Luffy and took care of you like a daughter in that moment he saw how you I wanted to have parents to support but I didn't
⤑ Dad Shanks springs into action! Luffy and Uta love you along with the crew since you were the oldest there and with the greatest sense and that was funny all of the redhead's crew besides him were surprised at your maturity compared to your age
⤑ When the redhead teased you, you just looked at him like this: 🤨 ( Side Eye ) and he looked at you like this: 😗 ( Sweet daughter )
⤑ When Luffy was caught you literally shed your blood to save him and even Redhead's crew had to stop you from going after him just so you wouldn't get hurt anymore, in short Shanks gave the straw hat to Luffy and to you the mission of take care of your brother
⤑ ( Shanks sees you as his little eldest daughter and he loves you, plus he cried when you called him dad for the first time, hush friend )
⤑ Well now going to Ace and Sabo, they admire you a lot Sabo maybe admit it but Ace will never admit it
⤑ You are the mother figure of the three and period! being the eldest of the three you help Dadan with these devil miniatures, she thinks you are an angel who helps her every single day
⤑ It doesn't matter to you if Ace was the son of the former king of pirates Gold D. Roger to you he was Monkey D. Ace your other little brother! along with Sabo and Luffy
⤑ Do you still remember when you fought with Ace and he said he hated you and you just replied that you didn't hate him and that you loved him, poor thing he stood still trying to process that you even added that since that day they met he was your brother and you took care of your family
⤑ One of the best times for the three of you was when you made a bonfire and huddled together while you read stories or created to amuse or frighten them, but one thing they loved beyond that was watching the stars and moon with you or your hugs
⤑ When you made a promise to sail you said that you would be the last one to take care of them and not leave Luffy alone
⤑ The three are protective of you no matter what or who this is pure truth!
⤑ The three are protective of you no matter what or who this is pure truth!
「 The day you became Raiden Shogun or known as Raiden [name]」
⤑ Everything happened so fast for you, seeing that woman with purple hair staring at you as she said: I found you
⤑ She wanted a host and you wanted to protect her brothers and sisters, it was an unfair exchange, she didn't keep the deal and that resulted in it and all that
⤑ Trapped in that empty time with no one just meditating as she took your body to Inazuma and pretended it was you
⤑ No matter how many times you wanted to fight there was no escape
⤑ One of the only times you broke her conscience was to save Ace and kill that damn man who wanted to hurt her brothers
⤑ Boy, you destroyed almost everything making everyone impressed but soon Raiden came back to consciousness and took you back to Inazuma and you couldn't even talk to anyone
⤑ In the end, for this to never happen again, she tied you with the strings of memories and imprisoned you again, leaving you alone
⤑ In the end, for this to never happen again, she tied you with the strings of memories and imprisoned you again, leaving you alone 「Current time, everyone is alive」
⤑ Congratulations my little grasshopper you have the highest bounty ever with 50 Billion Belly making everyone amazed
⤑ Shanks wanted to congratulate you your granddaughter reached that level but realized it wasn't you, there was no way you could be as cruel as that woman everyone called Raiden [name]
⤑ All of these ( Luffy, Sabo, Ace, Garp ) had the same impression of Shanks, Ace almost jumped off Whitebeard's crew ship just to go to Inazuma to confirm that, poor Whitebeard had to hold Ace for him not to go, O Ace's captain was also shocked by this because the stories Ace told about you to him, you seemed like a kind and innocent girl who didn't kill anyone who went against you
⤑ Little Luffy couldn't believe those lies dirty from you! The whole crew had to hold him back so he wouldn't go looking for you, they tried to convince Luffy that you changed but he didn't believe he would never believe!
⤑ Now when Sabo saw this he was in disbelief! how could a sister who took care of him like a mother do that!? He then showed it to his father and even Monkey D. Dragon was amazed that his beloved daughter had turned into a monster
.⤑ Everyone went to Inazuma to see if this was true until Luffy found Shanks but he wouldn't return the hat the reason they went there was to save his sister! (ASL brothers and their daughter for Shanks and Dragon)
⤑ After a lot of fighting I mean a lot of fighting!, you managed to get out of that damn control of Raiden and realized what you did, you thought everyone would leave you for doing that they did instead Shanks put you lying on his lap like he used to do when you you were a child, Luffy, Ace de Sabo ran to hug you saying they loved you
⤑ At the end of it all you became an honest and kind person unlike Raiden but you were very strong and ended up becoming a Yonko ( papa Shanks and pirate brothers are proud! ) and they made a feast but each on their ship
⤑ You became known as various titles but it didn't bother your father (Shanks and Dragon) or your brothers or grandpa Garp they were proud of how you cared and how you were Raiden [name]

I’m at One With the Silence — Luke Castellan x f!Reader — Part One
Description: Luke learns sign language in order to get to know you, the silent, angry daughter of Apollo. Warnings: canon-typical violence, injury Word Count: 1.2k A/N: The reader character in this fic is mute and uses ASL! Descriptions of signs will be used, but it's super duper hard to describe hand signs with text, and I'm not a fluent signer myself, so don't use this as a learning device. Also, I have no idea how many parts this will be yet. Let's say three? Four, maybe.
Part One ☆ Part Two →
Tumblr media
Luke wasn’t generally one to people-watch, but this was… a sight.
Your hands were balled into fists as you stormed out of Apollo’s cabin, the sound of a dozen talented singers battling for supremacy spilling out behind you. You were saying — mouthing — something, your lips moving a mile a minute. You cut through the center of camp like hellhounds were on your ass and, as you approached the edge of a hill, bent down to pick up… a pile of pebbles.
Luke watched. Maybe it was the anger in him that enjoyed the anger in you. Maybe he was just curious what your problem was, or what you meant to do with the pebbles. Maybe he liked what the sunset did to your face. He watched.
You began tossing — no, hurling — the tiny rocks at the sky. The sun, he realized; you were looking right at it, a feat only the children of Apollo could pull off without going blind. You were throwing rocks at the sun.
Not hard to figure out the meaning of that.
Your lips kept moving as you attempted this small act of violence against your father, your jaw wild as though you were shouting, and when you ran out of pebbles to throw, you’d move your hands, too, as though by sweeping them wider, you could sign louder. And then you’d dip down again, scoop up more, and repeat.
If Apollo cared at all, if he even noticed his daughter’s rage, he didn’t show it. The sun kept setting, and no one came.
The gods were deaf to their children. Luke knew that better than anyone.
He kept watching, even as you tired of throwing rocks at gods and shuffled off — still away from your cabin, he noted. Not tired enough to go back there.
He didn’t know why you were angry.
Oh, he could guess. It couldn’t have been easy, the fall from grace; going from your father’s favorite child — the gods all picked favorites, it was only the less honest ones who pretended that wasn’t true — to just another in the pile mustn’t have felt good, especially for you, the demigod who gave everything.
But was that it? Was that why you hated your father? Because Hades had silenced you?
Your voice had been beautiful, for whatever ‘had been’ was worth. Luke had only heard you sing once before it was ripped from you, but he remembered being mesmerized.
You were fourteen then, too. It was your second — maybe third, he wasn’t sure, he didn’t know you personally — summer at Camp Halfblood, and his first. He’d been shy, not that anyone remembered that now, and he hadn’t spoken to much of anyone other than those who slept in Hermes cabin, let alone pretty girls with older, meaner boyfriends. But he’d been dragged to a bonfire party by an older brother of his, and you were there, with your guitar and your sunbeam smile.
Luke had never liked old music. His mother had all these dusty records that she’d put on and dance to like they were the only things that made sense, but they never made sense to him. If the lyrics had meaning, he didn’t get them, or at least couldn’t relate, not like the nu metal he’d ripped onto his mp3 player.
But you were singing something that night, a Prince song he’d heard before, and on your lips, the words made sense. They were beautiful, even.
He could still see it, the light flickering across your face, your fingers moving fast as light against the strings. You were talented with your guitar, too, though he hadn’t caught sight or sound of the thing since the quest that took your voice, either. The way you played reminded him of the mariachi bands he’d seen on the New York subways — hard to believe a person could pluck so fast.
And you sang. He could still hear it, too — When Doves Cry. It was different, of course, acoustic and melancholy, but the song was the same.
He must have been staring. You must have noticed.
You were coming towards him. He didn’t think anything of it at first; you twirled, you danced, you walked.
“Touch, if you will, my stomach. Feel how it trembles inside.”
And then you were in front of him, so close, and looking him in the eye, and his breath caught. You seemed to almost smirk at that.
“You’ve got the butterflies all tied up. Don’t make me chase you,” you sang, to him. “Even doves have pride.”
And then you turned away from him, like it had been a blip, like you had never been looking at him at all. You danced on.
“How could you just leave me standin’, alone in a world that’s so cold? Maybe I’m just too demandin’—” you grinned there, head turned up to the sky— “maybe I’m just like my father, too bold.”
And then your eyes changed, cast out to the lake, like your mind was elsewhere. “Maybe I’m just like my mother, she’s never satisfied. Why do we scream at each other? This is what it sounds like when doves cry.”
The next day, you embarked on your quest. You did well, too — returned a week and a half later with the item you were sent to steal back from Hades. Hades the place, it turned out, but not the god himself; it was Persephone who had stolen one of your father's precious sunbeams. She'd missed the sunlight in her months down below, she told you, and took it to keep herself warm. An understandable desire, certainly, but it'd lead to snow in the Sahara and summer blizzards in Boston. She gave it back over without a fight, but her husband hadn't smiled upon you sneaking into his domain.
If it weren’t for one of his furies catching you just outside the barrier and digging its claws into your throat, they’d have marked it down as a flawless victory.
The staff managed to save your life, but not your vocal chords. When summer came to an end, they said they commended you for your sacrifice, as though you’d had a choice.
Maybe it really wasn’t that big a deal; half the kids in camp were willing to die in service of the gods, and given that you’d collected more quests than beads, you were probably in that number. But then, dying is different than surviving with a disability. Not worse, but different. What kid actually considers the limb when they’re risking life and limb? What risks would one take if they had to live with the consequences?
Worse yet, as far as he could tell, your daddy never called you back afterwards. No ‘thank you’s for the maimed daughter, no more gifts. Insult to injury, used and discarded.
He’d throw rocks at the guy, too.
Which brought him back to that moment, alone in the settling darkness. You were gone by then, off somewhere, likely pushing your anger aside for something you considered more productive, though Luke couldn’t begin to guess what that would be. He didn’t know you, still.
He might like to, though. Perhaps the two of you could be… allies. That thing inside him that burned, that he hid… he could, potentially, share it with someone who felt the same.

Market day in Mallorca was always a beautiful affair. Rows and rows of tents adorned the streets, bursting with vibrant colors of fresh fruits and veggies, various paintings, clay jars and mugs, the smells of homemade snacks and treats filling the air as people bustled past each other, lightly bumping shoulders with each other as they set their eyes on something they want.
But Javi's favorite row was for the flowers. Beautiful blooms and plants bursting from various pots and glass jars, some massive and sitting in large pots on the ground, other small and dangling in the air at the end of macrame chains. He stops to look at each and every one, touching some of the petals or leaves and smiling to himself before moving on to the next.
But today is different. As he nears the middle of the row of tents and tables, he notices a new vendor. Her area was smaller than the others, but the plants and flowers she had were breathtaking. Bright colors and green leaves strategically placed on a couple of shelved hand carved wooden tables created this ambience of tranquility despite the bustling crowd. But this was nothing compared to the woman in front of him, straightening up from placing the last of her pots on the ground, gently dabbing at her brow to rid her skin of the few beads of sweat that had accumulated. She turns and jumps when she sees Javi staring at her.
"Oh!I'm sorry I didn't see you. Welcome! Is there anything specifically you're looking for?"
He's momentarily speechless, her green eyes shining up at him, her face framed by her auburn hair, the sun catching it at the right angle and making it glow.
"I… I don't.." Why can't he speak? She's staring at him, a friendly smile on her face as she studies him.
"That's ok. Are you looking for a gift for someone? Your mom or significant other?"
"Oh, no. My mother has passed and I am not… I mean, I don't have…" Javi sighs. "I am single."
Is he imagining the slight flush to her cheeks at his answer? Her eyes flick away from his for a brief moment before returning, her cheeks still a slight shade of pink.
"Well then.. are you new to plants?" Javi nods, trying to regain his composure. "Ok great. Then may I recommend…" She looks around for a few moments before reaching for a plant with green oval shaped leaves cascading down vines out of a small hanging planter. She turns and holds it out for him, his breath catching in his throat when their fingers touch briefly at the exchange. She clears her throat a moment layer, shaking her head.
"I uh… this is a pothos. Very easy to take care of. Water once a week or so and make sure they get some light. They're pretty sturdy."
"Th-thank you, miss…"
"Ally." She extends her hand and Javi shifts the pot into his left hand, extending his right to shake hers, his body nearly shaking when they touch. He hears her breath catch as well. Could she feel the same?
"I-"
"Hey lady! Do you have any monstera?" A large man pushes his way past Javi, nearly knocking him over to stand in front of Ally.
"I uh…yes. Right here." As she shows him the plants, he proceeds for tell her some long winded tale of his own garden, her eyes flicking back to Javi apologetically. After several minutes it becomes clear that he won't be leaving soon and Javi had to head home for a meeting. He sighs, pulling out some money and setting it on the table for her. At the last minute he decided to write a little note, taking the pen and paper she had set there to make notes about plant care for people.
I hope this is enough. I'll be back next weekend to make sure.
Javi leaves the paper and makes eye contact with Ally, her small, sad smile and nod indicating she saw him leave the money.
Javi can't stop thinking about her all week.
—----
Javi returns every weekend for 2 months. At first, he makes up excuses for coming, looking for plants, what does a slight discoloration mean, anything he can think of to talk to her. He's never been very good at flirting or picking up signals, but she laughs at all of his jokes, blushing whenever he compliments her, and he swears he's caught her more than once checking him out.
One weekend, Javi decides enough of enough- it's time to ask Ally out. Mayne just for coffee so if she says no, he can cover it up as a just as friends coffee. Or a thank you coffee. Something.
Javi walks to her stand, waiting a moment to watch her, back to him as she moves about arranging her plants, her fingers lightly brushing against petals and Javi imagines what it must feel like to have those same fingers brush against his skin, digging into his arms as they meld their bodies together…
He shakes his head. Now isn't the time for lewd thoughts. It wouldn't help his nerves. Javi stops at the entrance to her booth, giving her space to move about.
"Hi Ally. Got anything new today?"
She doesn't turn around, still moving about her plants. Javi clears his throat a little louder than he normally would. Still, she doesn't move. No turning to give him her brilliant smile that warms him up. Did he do something wrong? Say something wrong? His brain works fast, playing through all of their interactions. Nothing seemed amiss. Could he have misread something?
"She can't hear you." The vendor next to Ally says as she comes to stand next to Javi.
"What?"
"Her aids are being repaired so she doesn't have them today."
His eyebrows pull together. "Aids?"
"Hearing aids. Did you not see them?"
He hadn't. He was too taken in by her sweet words and gorgeous eyes, her obvious love for the plants she so lovingly cares for. When he doesn't reply, the woman turns more towards him.
"She's losing her hearing. It'll be totally gone one day, I think. At least that's what she told me. She taught me some basic signs too in case she didn't have her aids. Lovely girl."
Javi watches the back of Ally, still tending the plants she loves so much. "I have to go. Can you tell her 'Javi has some work to do but he'll be back soon?'"
The woman nods and Javi thanks her, turning promptly on his heel and heading straight for his car, pulling out his phone to call his assistant to help him with his task.
—----
A month later, Javi nervously approaches Ally's booth. What if she's mad at me? I hope I did not distress her too much. He swallows hard, taking the last few steps to her booth, watching her brush dirt from her hands, fingers rubbing gently on the gardening apron she always wore. She turns and sees him, eyes locking on his as she freezes, her eyes studying him, her focus slightly upset. She opens her mouth to speak but before she can, Javi raises his hands, willing the nerves to leave him as he starts to move.
[Signed]"I am sorry I have not come. Your neighbor-" He points to the lady in the next booth over. "- told me about your hearing and how you use ASL-"
Her eyes well up. [Signed] "You know ASL?"
Javi shakes his head. [Signed] "I didn't. I spent the last month starting to learn it for you."
Pure shock flashes across her face as she points to herself. [Signed] "For me? Why?"
Javi takes a few steps towards her, closing the distance between them. He brushes a short strand of her auburn hair from her face, the sunlight glinting slightly off of the tiny tube connecting her hearing aids to the ear mold and he smiles, meeting her eyes.
[Signed] "Because I always want to be able to talk to you, hear your thoughts. Anything you have to say."
Their eyes lock onto each other and he glances down at her lips, slightly parted. He brings his hands up slowly to cup her cheeks, giving her every chance to pull back. Instead, she grips his shirt, pulling him closer as their lips meet, soft and wanting. He wraps an arm around her, pressing his tongue to her lips as she eagerly responds. After several seconds, the lady in the booth next to Ally clears her throat and Javi pulls back, glaring slightly at the woman. Ally follows his gaze and looks at the woman, who is now smirking. Javi puts his finger on Ally's cheek, turning her head back to his.
[Signed] "Will you have dinner with me?"
Ally smiles wide, brightening the entire area and warming Javi up as she nods enthusiastically. "I'm free tonight?"
Javi chuckles. "I'll pick you up at 8 for dinner."
—-----
Javi thinks he's never seen someone more beautiful than her. The dress she wore fits her perfectly, enhancing her physical features, but it's more than that. As Javi listens to her talk about cross pollination, he watches her confidence grow with her excitement about her plants, a non stop stream of words and he drinks in every one, his chin leaning on his fist as he watches her, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"And oh my God I've been talking the whole time, haven't I?" She blushes, hiding her face behind her hands, elbows propped on the table.
"No, no. Please continue. I love watching you talk."
She lowers her hands and looks at him. "Watching me talk?"
"Yes. The way your passion for what you do pours out of you, touching anyone near you."
Her face heats up more and she fans herself for a moment. "You flatter me too much, Javi."
He catches her eye and signs. "That's because I really like you."
As dinner continues, he learns more about her. Her childhood, how she ended up in Mallorca, how her illness is causing her to lose her hearing, eventually a total loss. So she wanted to spend time listening to the small sounds, the way the wind moves through pine needles, the way water splashes against the leaves, the way grass flows against the breeze.
"Can I show you something?" Javi asks as he nervously offers his arm to Ally as they exit the restaurant. She takes it almost instantly, leaning into him and making his ears feel warm.
"Of course. Anywhere you'd like to go, I'm there."
Javi helps her into his jeep, driving back towards the compound. The guards let him in and he drives down the winning dirt road, turning down a nearly hidden path. He follows it down until it clears a little, overlooking the water. He reaches behind him, grabbing a thick blanket from the backseat before getting out of the jeep, walking around to offer his hand to Ally, helping her out of the jeep. Their fingers lace together as she follows him towards a small, clear space where he puts the blanket down, spreading it out. He offers his hand again, grinning at Ally as she sits, laying down next to him when he lays down.
"You see those stars there?" He points to the sky and Ally follows his fingers, squinting at the rapidly darkening sky.
"Yeah I think so."
"That's the Scorpius constellation."
"Really?"
"No idea."
She laughs, turning her head to him and finding him already looking at her, a faint smile on his face. She watches him back, eyes roaming over his handsome face, with his prominent nose and curls you just want to touch. She leans in and Javi meets her halfway, their lips crashing together as she slides her fingers around his head, tugging at the curls at the back of his neck. Javi feels his pants tighten even more and he pulls back, his eyes moving between hers, his eyebrows raised in question. She replies by gripping his shirt, pulling him to her as she unbuttons his shirt, sliding it off his broad shoulders, only breaking the kiss for Javi to toss his shirt somewhere over his shoulder, both of them giggling as he lays her back, slotting himself between her spread legs.
He holds himself above her, his soft lips pressing to hers as he grinds himself against her, feeling her heat beneath his pants. Then her fingers are at his pant line, fumbling to open his button and the kiss breaks, his forehead pressed to hers as she manages to open the button, sliding his pants down just enough for him to spring out, hard and wanting. He pulls his head back just enough to look at her, his own lust echoed in the depths of her eyes.
[Signed]”Are you sure?”
She nods. “Yes. Please, Javi, I need you.”
He slides his hand up her bare thigh, pressing his fingers between her thighs and moaning as he feels how wet she is for him, her own moan at his light touch mixing with his. She grips his hand, showing him how to touch her, his thick fingers sending jolts of pleasure out from where he touches her. But then he pushes her panties aside, Ally silently grateful for wearing a dress as he touches her, his skin on hers, sliding his fingers and touching her how she showed him. Her release comes from nowhere, a loud gasp and moan coming from her as her back arches, her body tensing with pleasure. Her back lowers, her chest heaving as she looks up at Javi, his eyes nearly black in the low light and she wraps her legs around him, trying to get him to move. He smiles and presses his hips forward, slowly pushing into her as he watches her face contort with pleasure at the feel of him stretching her open, small pants puffing out into his face until he bottoms out. Javi stays like that, pulling out only a little before pushing in, just to give her a moment, until he feels her hands grasping at his back, her heels digging into his ass and he gets the hint. He sets a comforting pace, not too rough and not too light, adding in his signature thrust that has her pulsing around him, his name tumbling from her lips as he comes with her, unable to resist the feel of her engulfing him.
They stay like that for several minutes, her fingers lightly tracing a mindless pattern across his sweaty, bare back, their breathing syncing together. Slowly, Javi pulls out, a hiss on his lips as he pats at the ground for his shirt, helping to clean her up with it before himself. He chucks the shirt on the ground again, laughing lightly with Ally before laying back down, pulling her close to him as he feels her hand on his chest. He presses a kiss to the top of her head as they watch the stars.
6 months later, they get married, happy to spend the rest of their days with each other, thankful that Javi stopped in the market that day.
