Au dernier CES, HP a dévoilé plusieurs PC portables, dont un modèle haut de gamme qui se présente comme un Macbook killer doté de lecteurs d’empreintes et de cartes à puce. Le prix de départ commence à 1 099 euros HT.

L’arrivée des dernières puces d’Intel, les Kaby Lake de septième génération, entraine un renouvellement des gammes de PC portables chez les principaux fournisseurs. HP n’est pas en reste avec la commercialisation du Elitebook x360. Conçu pour les entreprises, ce PC portable est doté d’un écran tactile d’une diagonale de 13,3 pouces (1080p ou 4K). Résolument haut de gamme, ce dernier arbore une élégante coque en aluminium doublé d’une partie inférieure en magnésium. De type deux-en-un avec une charnière renforcée pour autoriser l’utilisation en mode tablette – d’où le nom 360 comme le modèle Spectre plus grand public-, ce laptop affiche une épaisseur minimale de 15 mm.

Le design – très sobre – n’est pas sans rappeler celui d’un Macbook Air même si la connectique est ici bien plus fournie. On trouve en effet 2 ports USB 3.0, un USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 (avec fonction recharge grâce à un câble optionnel ou connexion à une station d’accueil), une entrée HDMI et un lecteur microSD. Apple fait beaucoup moins bien avec seulement deux connecteurs USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 pour le Macbook Pro d’entrée de gamme (sans la Touch Bar) et deux ports USB 3.0 sur le Air. Comme chez le constructeur à la pomme, la mémoire vive est soudée avec un maximum de 16 Go (DDR4). La partie stockage de masse est assurée par un SSD ou une carte flash PCIe (128 à 512 Go).

La sécurité n’a pas été négligée sur ce laptop avec un lecteur d’empreintes et un autre de carte à puces.

Des fonctions sécurité pour les entreprises

Comme nous l’a expliqué Justine Beck, chef produit PC chez HP, la sécurité n’a pas été négligée sur ce laptop avec un lecteur d’empreintes, un autre pour les cartes à puce, le respect du standard américain MLI-STD810G (pour ma résistance aux chocs), un contrôle de l’intégrité du Bios, mais aussi un écran avec un filtre de confidentialité Sure View développée avec 3M. Optionnel, ce dernier est activé à la demande pour obscurcir la dalle et réduire l’angle de vison afin d’éviter les coups d’œil intempestifs. Un modem LTE/4G est également disponible en option pour fuir les connexions WiFi trop curieuses dans les hôtels ou les espaces publics. Autre fonction dédiée à la sécurité, le verrouillage et le déverrouillage automatique du PC portable avec l’application WorkWise disponible pour les smartphones iOS et Android. Grâce à une connexion Bluetooth, l’app surveille l’usage du laptop (insertion d’une clef USB, déplacement de l’unité, charge de la batterie…) et envoie des alertes si nécessaires.

Un stylet est disponible en option.

Finissons avec les caractéristiques de ce produit, disponible avec une puce Intel Core i5-7200U (deux cœurs à 2,4 GHz), i5-7300U (deux cœurs à 2,6 GHz) ou i7-7500U (quatre cœurs à 2,7 GHz), épaulée par un circuit graphique HD 620.
