Alda held onto the boots and dog tags for more than 40 years after the show ended but decided to sell them through Heritage Auctions in Dallas to raise money for his center dedicated to helping scientists and doctors communicate better.

Getting sicker and sicker of the Associated Press

You guys are already running stories about how Hegseth's nomination is running into alot of trouble, so why are you also running fearmongering stories about how he'll totally ruin the military? You're not only counting your chickens before they've hatched, you're doing so after you yourselves were the ones to point out to everyone that maybe those eggs ain't gonna be incubated for long enough. And obviously the answer is agenda-pushing and click-generating, but I started reading this outlet back in 2018 because I wanted real, unbiased journalism. I specifically wanted to get away from this kind of nonsense. Guess that's on me for expecting a modern major newsorg to be decent. And I don't even like the guy! I think that just about anybody with more experience would be a better pick, even if we have to keep going against the spirit of the constitution and appoint yet another general. But this kind of two-faced journalism just gets under my skin, because there's no escaping it anymore. The only way to avoid it is to not read any news whatsoever, meaning I'm trading being ill-informed on some things for being uninformed on everything.
