I'm thinking of the IPC having diplomatic involvement with Caelestum, perhaps this involvement inevitably extending to Esra's clan, the Solheims, since u mentioned they are very wealthy; and u can bet that wherever the interesting stuff is burrowed, Aventurine has made sure to step foot into. Let them play in the highest grounds, the lowest grounds; make it life threatening. Make the stakes high. A daring gamble is better than being overly cautious; this is a line of thought that Aventurine applies to every aspect of his life. Will he get killed during the process? will he triumph and gain the entirety of a kingdom, turning it all into another one of his chips? It's fun, a thrilling game, one he is more than willing to play with Esra .

They know each other, they recognize each other, they have this mutual game of play-pretend. One could say; 'just get rid of him' but how would that actually follow up?
