OKAY. ok. so i have been putting off answering this ask because i’m admittedly very shy and very afraid of sharing my headcanons. and also because i have A LOT OF THEM.. but here we are!

here are my headcanon spies :) René works for RED and Jacques works for BLU!

where to start, where to start… i have a LOT of headcanons for them, i’ll be talking for FOREVER here. i’ll just start with story because why not! xP

René’s parents were also agents/spies, so he was always destined to be one as well. And he lives up to his parents’ legacies! He’s most notorious for destroying gangs and mobs and the like from the outside in. He was brought to America years ago to take out a dangerous mob boss, but unfortunately found himself infatuated (and involved) with the boss’ daughter. Luckily for him, the boss’ daughter wanted the guy dead, too.

René’s story is honestly a lot more fleshed out than Jacques’, but here goes anyway:

Jacques’ father was a very rich and powerful man in politics. Jacques himself was the result of an affair, and to keep it hush-hush, his father decided to raise him. Raise is a strong word, though— but he did help his father gain intelligence and blackmail on opposing political parties. Jacques proved to be a promising spy since childhood.

If anyone has any suggestions/ideas for Jacques’ story, let me know haha x) he didn’t have the greatest upbringing per se…

last thing on this section i wanna talk about is the Scouts. René is related to both of the Scouts; he’s RED Scout (Jeremy)’s biological father, and he’s BLU Scout (James)’ adoptive/step-father. Jacques has no relation to either scout, but acts as a guardian figure to BLU Scout.

anyway, this is the part where i continue talking about other miscellaneous headcanons! and these come with doodles :)

You couldn’t catch René DEAD without his mask, or his suit! He’d neeever take them off around other people (‘other people’ is mainly just Scout. For obvious reasons.) Meanwhile, Jacques is pretty lenient in letting his teammates see his face! Everyone on BLU’s seen his face at least once.

A big part of why René refuses to strip down is also due to the fact he has a LOT of tattoos. No doodle for this one because I’ve yet to decide on what tattoos to put on him (ideas are very welcome!!), but yeah! Most of the tattoos were ‘forced’ onto him/he had to get for jobs and ‘fitting in’ with bad crowds, but a good few of them were of his own accord, too.

Jacques doesn’t have tattoos, but he has a myriad of another thing: scars! Lots and lots of scars on this guy. Faded and old, sure, but they’re there. Most prominent ones are the one around his neck (from when the RED Medic beheaded him) and the ones on his forearms (those are from the LAST time he was imprisoned— looong story…)

René doesn’t cook very often for his team, but when he does, everyone’s always BLOWN AWAY by this guy’s cooking! René’s really bad at taking compliments, though— (“Cooking food that’s remotely edible isn’t a compliment, it’s basic survival.”) —but rest assured he’ll be thinking about it for the next month. Jacques, however… Do NOT let this guy into the kitchen. Ever. The BLU base has a special fire extinguisher “In Case Spy Decides To Turn On The Stove”

oooh, this one is an hc and a HALF to me. René much prefers working alone. It’s just in his nature, being isolated and whatnot. He likes to deal with things by himself– maybe he doesn’t want to burden others? On the contrary, Jacques NEVER works alone. It’s a trait he’s had even before being hired to BLU. You never know when things could go wrong, so it’s best to have someone else to fall back to… or someone else you can blame!

these hcs both have something to do with how René and Jacques show their trust in other people :) it’s a bit convoluted but it gets there:

René is, amusingly, very bad at remembering names. Almost laughably bad. There have been many-a-story of his days before RED where he’d get a target’s name wrong, even after he’d repeated it in his head dozens of times over. Names are difficult for him, so if he remembers yours, it means you mean a lot to him! He prefers using his teammates’ names rather than their titles. René is unaware of how charming this specifc trait is to his coworkers (they saw how much work and effort it took for him to memorize their names, they’re just happy with how far he’s come!)

Jacques has a… to put simply, very complicated relationship with food. But the one thing he’ll never turn down is sweets. His favorites especially being chocolate bonbons. Jacques has a hard time eating in front of others, let alone sharing his food! But if he genuinely likes and trusts you enough, he’d have half the mind to share with you. Admittedly, he hasn’t brought himself to share with most of the members of his team yet, except for a select few. Mostly BLU Medic and BLU Sniper.

and of course, eventually, EVENTUALLY, these two also become friends! it took a little bit but believe me, they both respect each other’s skill in their job :)

AHHg i could go sooo much longer about them— from things like their physical traits (how much teeth they have? it’s a pressing question) or different periods of their life (why did rené have to leave his family? why was jacques imprisoned for the last time?) BUT this post is so… so, so long. My fingers hurt from typing

AI ART ALERT

I'm not one to hate blog but god 4000 notes on a piece of ai garbage I'm posting directly so OP can't delete my message and others can hopefully learn what to look for. And before anyone tries to say otherwise I looked through the rest of this person's artworks to confirm if anyone wants to see for themselves. Tattoos and anything that's supposed to have words or small details are gibberish, their art style is all over the place and the coloring is extremely inconsistent. In fact there's so little style consistency that it goes beyond someone who happens to have multiple art styles given that the way they draw one specific character changes at least several times in terms of physical structure/hair, not to mention if they really have as much technical skill as their artwork is supposed to demonstrate then they shouldn't make such glaring technical errors in some of their works (irises not properly touching the edges of the eyes, wonky hair shapes, and I'm presuming because hands are still a challenge for ai that's why they conveniently leave them cropped out in quite a few "pieces". I understand hands can be challenging for some artists but again someone who is supposed to have this much skill should not be making beginner artist decisions like avoiding to draw specific features). They tried to take a picture of their physical hand next to their "sketchbooks" as proof of legitimacy but the lineart is far too clean to be made by a physical pencil or pen since even pen has some amount of unsteadiness to a degree in creating lines so it's definitely digital, not to mention it's more suspicious that they only ever post finished products without proof of process (I'm not talking exclusively about time lapses I'm talking about half-finished sketches, doodles, etc). Tell signs are harder to distinguish in this piece so I understand why people got fooled but the giveaways are the fact that theres no sense of framing in this picture with the way the background is just miscellaneous nonsense colors that serve no purpose in framing the subjects.

The over-detailing of the faces (going along with the supposed medium used to paint the rest of the "artwork" there should be some amount of texture to the faces but theres a dissonance which is given by how smooth they are in comparison to the rest of the piece) and... every artist is entitled to artistic liberty but they dont even fucking look like the characters themselves like Ekko's face shape is entirely off and I find it difficult to believe that someone who is supposed to be as advanced as this would fail at something like facial studies. Also again with the nonsense gibberish tattoo on Jinx's arm which is being masked by the roughness of the paint texture. And in case people still aren't convinced here's a screenshot I took from a different post claiming to be something they drew:

I mean good god those poor fucked up birds in one of their "pieces". Anyways we're living in really scary times where people will try to get away with passing off generative slop cobbled together by stolen artwork as their own cuz they're desperate for validation. Please try to keep your eyes peeled out there guys.

Like I already said, I’ve been busy, both with commissions and with another very exciting thing – a Mob/Idia event on pictSQUARE! It’s going to be our first JP online event, and we’re a little nervous, so we took our sweet time preparing; it’s happening over this weekend.  I drew a 12-pages long doujin that we even managed to get translated to JP… It was such a new and fun experience.

I am not sure if I am allowed to post things I drew for the event, but if I am, we will definitely be posting both JP and EN versions at some point in the future.

And also that darn Cater card that made us drop everything and just draw it for like 3-4 days in a row.

Yeah sorry I ended up rumbling a little bit lol I also feel like I needed a short break from daily replies, but I think I am back. I missed talking to you all.

I want to post more of my Yu-Gi-Oh! Art but it's tied to a very specific set of headcanons I have, and I thought a context post might be useful. Not that I'm expecting anyone to read it it's just nice to get my thoughts down!

Anyway, I've put it under a readmore along with some more doodles (annnnnnd more shadi!)

Basically, Pegasus's immediate "lets go to Egypt" after Cecelia died always felt a bit strange to me as a first course of action. (I get it, it makes sense in context of bringing a loved one back but still). And Cecelia was unfortunately so wasted as a character as a "Miscellaneous woman who dies" so I figured she'd be a fine blank slate to mold into something else.

I think it would be fun if she'd had an interest in Egyptology of her own accord, perhaps specifically in their powers of resurrection - maybe has an inkling that the items exist. I'd like her to have been on digs and whatnot - Pegasus as well seems like he would've been somewhat directionless before he started working on Duel Monsters, so probably just followed her to Egypt to have something to do. I like to think Cecelia is working on a PHD thesis or something. Anyway, I'm shoehorning Shadi in there somewhere because I like him and think he should've gotten to meet both of them.

I think eventually Cecelia would go to Kul Elna on her own and maybe take one of the items trials, and fails. Prompting Shadi to have to kill her as he does with the museum curator in Season 0 (The colonialist legacies of western Egyptology studies don't really endear you to wanting to give ppl items anyway). Also, it's more interesting than her just dying of a miscellaneous disease, to me, anyway. Not that Pegasus would be aware it was Shadi, he thinks she passed away of an accident or something along those lines. I haven't ironed out details.

However, if her research did touch on the Millennium items I think it would be interesting if the reason she failed the trial to be the barer of one is because the gods saw better use for her as a recordkeeper, similar to Shadi, and granted her a degree of the same purpose to fulfill like he has. If he's the one who keeps track of the items, maybe she's supposed to make a note of their history. That's all very self indulgent on my part though.

Pegasus then goes to Egypt partially for the sake of remembering her and partially because if her research was focused on death and burial, he latches onto one thing that he thinks might be able to bring her back. Pegasus then has a "oh YOU again!" similar to that one Battle City episode with Shadi, prompting him to follow Shadi down that tomb and receive the eye because LBR Shadi wouldn't explain anything.

I think that lends a fun little extra bit of guilt to the twisted/portraitshipping dynamic. Plus double ghosts!

Anyways silly doodle dump

Two croakers doing something while staying close to a large flier as to not get caught by a predator.

A small grouse analogue that has since lost its lower pair of eyes. They forage in tall grass in groups of 6-7. They’re a common game bird for croakers and owl folk alike, being startled into flying either from a resting spot in the trees or foraging spots in the grass.

Some possible feather variation on the head of croakers. Some beak carvings are shown as well.

More miscellaneous croaker doodles and a couple Korakian bugs

Two critters native to the plains and deserts of Koraki. The top one is a large lumbering beast normally found scavenging kills and foraging for roots and tubers but will take small prey if the opportunity arises.

The bottom one is a nimble omnivore that normally travels in groups of 3-4. They are skittish little guys.

A silly oc I don’t have a name for yet. They meet my other ocs Bob and Crek���Whi at a campsite. They become friends :D

i know that everyone has their own specific headcanons for who their starters are but i have always liked the idea of them having been given their haxorus as an axew as their first pokemon. i totally understand why people think of it as being ingo's with the whole mold breaker earthquake thing but especially with the whole heroes of legend and original dragon thing i think it's customary / traditional for people in unova to give children who are setting off on their journeys together a dragon to raise together. like as a reminder not to be too consumed with your goals that you lose the people who matter to you. or something. works out because i imagine dragons are typically prideful and kind of finicky to raise by nature. so making it a 2 person job is easier on all parties LMAO (their haxorus is jolly by nature so maybe less so but. yknow)

i also personally think that emmet really likes to cook. completely unrelated and i don't know why i think so but to me his love of battling translates a little as him being a guy who cares about his health LOL. he wants his team to be in good shape, so he should put in that effort too! because it's something he's very passionate about. and this applies to exercise but also food to me. it's an easy way to take care of yourself and it's nice to share food with people (<- necessary intervention to avoid ingo's 7th fast food chain burger in 4 days). + i imagine that pokemon who do a lot of battling like his do would need to eat a lot anyways, it's probably cheaper to make your own pokemon food than to buy as much as he'd need in bulk. maybe he got into making it for his team when he was younger and that translated into him learning to cook because he's already making something edible anyways LMAO, might as well do the same for himself

i think ingo likes to draw. no real reason for this one either he just strikes me as The Absentminded Doodler. never really considered himself to be super passionate about art but he is a dedicated hobbyist. in my head when they were kids ingo and emmet's parents tried to get emmet into journaling because he wasn't much of a talker and they figured it'd be an easier way to express himself. he did not really care for it and ingo took it up instead. lots of paper for writing and doodling. i imagine he sort of got out of journaling as an adult/older teen but got back into both writing and drawing more when he was in hisui. we know he's a man who appreciates physical reminders of things. less ephemeral than memories 🔥💯

i also like the headcanon that uxie is the one who stole his memories rather than it just being a result of The Dreaded SpaceTime Travel. like i know it doesn't actually make sense because how would he have possibly met uxie given the requirement of having god's blessing in your cell phone. but. OH MY GOD! IN COMES CANALAVE LIBRARY'S "A HORRIFIC MYTH" WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!!!!!!!!

^ i just like it. it's also the one way i will excuse the trope of zoroark transforming into emmet because the pokemon guarding uxie's cave is. an alpha zoroark. so maybe that thing has some special powers relating to the memories it steals like it can look into them to more effectively scare people away from it or whatever. because like. hisuian zoroark can't actually read minds. LMAO. but i'll accept it specifically for ingo through this

i am known to be an enjoyer of the headcanon that emmet is a pokemon breeder as a hobby. but specifically NOT just with joltik. i think he met lenora when he was younger when she helped him revive his archen from a fossil and he works with her sometimes now as a breeder aiding in pokemon restoration. i also like to ignore the fact this would likely require a lot of dedicated training and education and time on top of his job because i can do whatever i want forever. i think that elesa's tynamo is the anime was a gift from him :-]

on a slightly related note i also think that emmet and burgh are underrated "characters who have never interacted but i think they'd be friends" guys. in my head even ingo likes to draw he's not really much of an art nerd. but i think emmet kind of is LOL. i flip flop 100000x per day over their pokemon but specifically when it comes to the haxorus mold breaker thing i want to bring up how abilities on the battle subway are randomized. meaning that, to me specifically, it is not actually an act of malice 100% of the time. i KNOW that it was introduced in gen 6 but i think that mold breaker earthquake is more often a FUCK I FORGOT TO USE THE ABILITY CAPSULE AGAIN AFTER THE SINGLES LINE than a HA HA HA. FUCK YOU, TEAMMATE! ingo is also a guy who likes a thrilling battle and likes to win. if i wasn't as fond of the idea that their starter was axew i'd say it's a brought the wrong haxorus to work accident

Welcome to my journal series where I talk about points of the day related to my fortune. Sometimes, I may say beyond that.

When it comes to love, I seem inexperienced. I have been told before I hold myself in a very practical and rational manner. Because of this, I am also told I can be very cold and intimidating. These are qualities I do not think are so bad. My personality gives me peace and space from others who may think to try funny business. 😑

I think I love people affably and show kindness and respect to everyone at first, then whoever decides to reciprocate will realize I can offer more. There is no big science to it for me. 🤔

My best friend and I were speaking via SNS last night. I am sick with a cold, so my cognition is not very good. I think they were joking? 🤡

For this season, they are in a lovey dovey phase, and it is strange to be on the receiving end sometimes. 🤨

I am uncomfortable being referred to as "baby" or "daddy." I almost said something I would regret when they started calling me pet names. Feelings can be volatile if one does not concentrate but I remembered my fortune advice in time.

I erased my message and made my request to them in a comedic manner instead. "Do I look like I enjoy taking care of infants? Also, I am an old man. Don't call me baby or daddy. Call me grandpa." 👴

I am setting my boundaries as an old man that I do not want to be anyone's father. Ocassionally, I am called in for babysitting services, and that is as much as I am willing to do. 🤷

I said, it is strange to be called daddy anyway. My mother is still alive and my father is deceased. I love them both dearly and I have no desire to be called anything similarly, especially from someone only a few years younger than me. 😩

I have read manhwa and seen media where this can be sexy or like a meme joke, but I do not think it is personally to my taste. I want to vomit a little every time someone thinks I should have paternal responsibility in a relationship. I just want to take care of my friends without the romantic affiliation, thank you. 💔

Moving to the other portion of my fortune. Cleaning the kitchen is my task for today. Even if I am sick, I should be able to do as much as I can. I had moved to a new apartment recently and I use the kitchen a lot. Because of this, it has also become a dumping ground... 💀

There are boxes everywhere, clean dishes drying on the counter and dishwasher, the floors need to be swept and mopped, and miscellaneous items not for the kitchen should be put away. 🗑

I am slowly starting to lose my mind from the disorderly mess. Hopefully, will save myself in time. 🫠

Hi! Howdy! Hello! My name is Doppel how do you do?:>

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy to have ya folks:D I'll be your gracious host so allow me to introduce myself and what I do here:

I am a multi fandom artist and writer, I mainly focus on Oc content as they have been my biggest hyperfixation ever since I was a small child so that's what you'll find the most of here!

But my interest doesn't just revolve around my characters, I also just love learning and drawing the little guys of other folks in general!

Also I am a supporter of self inserts/self indulgent content because I'm a firm believer in the mentally of "if someone is just having fun and not hurting anyone then just let them be KAREN." So expect some of that to also float around here.

As of right now I'm quite busy! DWD OC Month: Day 26

FREE SPACE

Yeesh, been pooped for the last couple days. Anyway, let’s just have some old miscellaneous doodles of Rosie because she’s the one I draw the most.  

Confession time, I actually drew up sketches of Rosie set to “When Will My Life Begin” from Tangled (albeit with some altered lyrics to fit Rosie’s life a little more). Here’s a couple of my favorite sketches of that set. 

This was before I remembered the “cat polisher” joke in Jail Birds, and now it’s extra funny to me because here’s the one person in the world who polishes her cat

I don’t talk much about Rosie’s hair, but it’s certainly a wild mane. 

Anyway, there are other sketches from that set scattered among the other prompts, I’m sure you have some idea of what to look for. Dunno if I’ll ever color the entire thing, it’s about four pages of random hobby stuff based on a Disney song. 

Rosie would totally love Spike. She better be careful, though, Tuffy might get jealous. Also, I have this stupid exchange in my head:

Rosella: If you’re not going to be nice to him, I’m taking him home! *picks up Spike and marches out the door*

Was reading a thing, and it prompted me to draw Rosie in a suit. Doesn’t look half-bad, actually, though she prefers dresses. 

It is a crime that Baby Pictures wasn’t a prompt. What else am I supposed to do with Baby Rosie dressed in spooky baby stuff because her family couldn’t predict that she’d be more interested in bright colors than in black?

I have more thingies, but I’m not going to overwhelm you.

Not genshin related, as a heads up

Here's the thing- I can make miscellaneous content rambling to the moon and back about literally anything, but now that I actually have like- people who follow me, it gets really weird. Because now I can't help but get into a loop of like 'oh well what kind of content did they follow me for' or 'what do they expect' content wise- because on one hand- I can't pump out theories and AUs non stop cuz they take awhile to formulate and are hard to think of in the first place. But on the other hand it's the same deal for random ass headcanons.

And on the other other hand I could turn out with a bunch of rambles about like- what I think of different characters, or just random ass thoughts, or heck lmao I could even take my aroace ass and girlboss some x reader shit or I could make random doodles, or I could talk about mechanics and building characters and stuff.

But the thing is- now that I've made a fair amount of stuff, it's hitting me that some of the people following might be following me for a reason- and I have no idea what that reason is- or how broad of a range I can take this blog before the range of variety is too much-

Idk it's probably too early to take that into consideration but it's on my mind.

Anyway just a heads up that I may or may not start posting random genshin shit and removing mental boundaries for what I have and haven't been allowing myself to post, because shitposts are entertaining. And I've had a lot less idea for legitimate content lately anyways.

Babeeee you’re so sweet with your second message that you sent and I want to say no worries at all, and I love you <3 I like when yall get excited about my wips because it reminds me people will care when I update, haha. I probably will take a little longer to get to finishing the next chap because i’ve got some upcoming interviews that are stressing me out, but soon <3 and just for you <33 

Here is a snippet from the beginning of next chap:

“Wi- with wood? Not much,” Tony says, still juddering. “Usually m-my fires involve safety equipment and Dum-E spraying me with a fire hydrant, so - ”

“I can do it,” Peter interrupts, eyeing up the way Tony’s frame is curled in on itself. He backs up, then pushes himself up into a sitting position beside Tony, tail still in the water. Within minutes, he’s got a spark, then a humble little fire going which gives off pure, blessed heat. Its warmth gradually fills the small space, casting dancing orange light on the cave walls. 

As his extremities thaw, Tony also feels his cognitive abilities bouncing back - not having realized they’d diminished while he was flirting with hypothermia. He can now see the worry all over Peter, the way he’s glancing over every few seconds like a mother hen. 

Tony catches his eye and scolds, “Hey. I’m supposed to be taking care of you. How dare you make me feel like a damsel in distress.”

Peter looks up from where he’s poking the fire, face blank before it breaks out in a grin. He shrugs. “Firstly, not my fault, and secondly, it’s kind of nice for me? Because that’s all I’ve been up to this point.”

The man huffs in disagreement. “You were pretty heroic when you helped Pepper.”

He catches a pressed smile before Peter looks away and up, hugging his arms around himself. “Anyway, this is weird. Having you here, I mean. I’ve never had anyone here... obviously.”

The man follows suit, tilting his head up to look around and taking in the little lines of seashells, piles of miscellaneous waterlogged items probably picked up from sea trash… and catching sight for the first time of some markings on the wall. On second glance, there are a lot of markings on the walls. 

Two years’ worth of doodles from one thirteen- to fourteen- to almost-fifteen-year-old: pictures of stick figures and sea animals and math equations and scribbled words. There’s even a few drawings of Iron Man. Tony finds himself smiling as he looks at it: the notebook of a merkid.
