I like Inspekta, he's a little freak and a really interesting character to think about. While, for me, the twist with him wasn't totally a surprise (I did Not trust his cuteness the second i saw him lmao), I REALLY liked the way his character progressed throughout the game. He's your buddy! He's your pal! Don't worry about all these posters and weird plushies and standees and propaganda of him everywhere and how he keeps being called “the one and only god”, it's Fine it's Fine! He's sillay :D!!!

I'm generally just obsessed with characters who are put into leadership positions who absolutely Should Not have that amount of power over people, and I think Inspekta's a perfect example of that type of thing for me.

He had his own fears, loneliness, and jealousy cloud his judgment and that resulted in some Really Fucked Up Stuff. As a mortal he wanted to be special in the eyes of the public, so he gained enough popularity to get elected to be a god! Yay! But now he's scared of being forgotten and there's a new possible god being elected, wuh oh! Time to ruin Literally Everything because what's the easiest way to be remembered, worshiped, and loved by all if there's no more competition for your rule? Empty heavens, baby!!! Let's bring in an apocalypse!!! Yay!!!!!

I love how despite it all he still tries this whole Cute Buddy Friend act, even at the end with this Worm Form. Cause he KNOWS the other gods would trust and believe him and the lies he's spread about King's shocking letters, cause why wouldn't they? He's just a silly lil cutie pie! They all trust him! He's the God of Leadership! How could a Leader lead others astray? And he knows the Bizzyboys will follow him as well since he's been leading them pre-godhood for several years. He's a role model to them all, starting from nothing and now he's a god! He's just so trustworthy and sweet and will totally save the day!

Also I just wanted to include this somewhere. I really like this section (after Chapter 3, I think???)

He has this brief moment of vulnerability/sincerity/something that made him drop his “Cutesy Voice”. Like aside from this scene, near the end of chapter 5, and i Think a few parts i'm 100% forgetting, I don't think we actually see this more contemplative n genuine side of Inspekta.

He does instantly goes into gloating about himself and how he's Clearly the MOST IMPORTANT GOD OF ALL (before correcting himself to include the other gods, of course, of course).

Like if he didn't have that Ego-the-size-of-the-galaxy + Saddest Scaredest Loneliest Most Jealous Withdrawn Loser combo, all he had to do was to just Talk To People. He could've Talked to people about his Fears and Insecurities. Even the other gods; after all he's done, were still there for him! Like “Hey dude this is fucked up, we all already love you dummy, you can talk to us ya know you're allowed to feel scared!”

He's just the cutest most moe creature with soooo many issues and problems he needed to figure out.

NOW WITH HECTOR

Most of my Inspekta Thoughts can just be applied to him but slightly modified. I think it's interesting how he chose to go back to being a regular person, it makes sense cause he's like Aware of the amount of damage he's done/could've done. While he certainly won't be forgotten after Everything he's done, he isn't going to be as Grand and Powerful as he wished to be.

He's just a guy in his 50s who's trying to get over his God Complex of 33 years and also attempt to gain back the trust and respect of the Grove’s people. He's definitely going to be bearing the weight of what he's done for the rest of his life probably, but it IS interesting thinking about what he'd do to actually improve himself now, learn how to be a person again n such.

He’s also a sad miserable booboo beast of a man and i think him suffering in anguish is awesome!!!!!!! yay!!!!

This turned into more a character analysis of some sorts instead of solely my own personal thoughts, whoops. Anyways i think his designs, all 3 of em are really fun to draw. He's cute n stretchy and marketable, as all gods should be.

bUT. yes. outlines!!!! honestly my outlines are mostly rlly simple/messy? it depends on how much i’ve thought abt the concept, but usually i just write stuff down so that i won’t forget to include it while writing the actual fic!!! :3 anything from plot points to dialogue to actions to descriptions and metaphors… again, it rlly depends!!! i don’t like making my outlines toooo detailed bc i feel like that can be kinda constricting? but i also want to make sure i remember stuff so 😭 it’s…. a delicate balance!!

here’s just a random example of one of my sugu outlines for reference:

…. as you can see it’s 😭 literally just scribbles. for my own brain to follow. actions and dialogue that i think of ahead of time n wanna remember!!

buuuuut i also have some wips (like the wolf!sugu one!!) where i write out parts of it… randomly… instead of making an outline. it’s not something i see as very Smart bc it’s always hard for me to fill in the gaps between them :’3 but it’s fun in its own right!!!! overall i don’t think my outlines r. anything special 😭 it’s up to the writer how they wanna do them!! sometimes (Very Few Times) i get hit by inspo and write a lil drabble or fic with no outline at all… and that’s actually really nice. but it’s rare for me LMAO

ANYWAYYYY onto your second question!!!!! descriptions!!!!! I’M SOOOO HAPPY YOU LIKE MINE YOU HAVE NO IDEA 🥺 they’re probably what i like writing most…… wahhh it’s hard to give advice tho!!! it rlly does come down to the writer… i dunno if there are any things i really. keep in mind? while writing them… BUTT i love working w imagery!!! soso much!!!! and it’s especially fun when you let yourself experiment w them :3 there’s this One poem i like where the poet compares the stars in the sky to drops of milk and . stuff like that is so much fun!!! metaphors that r a lil weird.

so in general, imagery is an option if you feel like it!!!! another thing i like doing is to ’zoom in’ on small actions/details….. you can spend soooo much time describing a certain item but also just. a single line. same w an action!!! you have so much freedom when it comes to writing descriptions, it’s just a matter of what you Want to describe :3 i like. describing sugu’s voice………….

pleasingrry taking care of puppy when she's having an off day :((( like she doesn't know what's wrong, her classes have been fine, she understands everything at the moment, harry's been amazing (as per usual), and nothing crazy has happened at work in a while but something js isn't right :(( her head is foggy and she feels sluggish and huffy :(( heavy eyelids that honestly make no sense because she slept like a baby last night :( and then they're back at h's place after their long day and puppy could literally die like she's so mentally and emotionally and physically drained and frustrated because she doesn't know why!!! >:(((( like she should be her regular happy self but nooooo something is terribly wrong and nothing can help it :(( but then h is running a bath for her and cooking her favorite meal and making sure the sheets are warm before they get into bed :((( he gives her an old, tattered band shirt of his to sleep in, and for once doesn't hound her about wearing bottoms to bed :((( he swaddles her up in a big fuzzy blanket and feeds her dinner while they watch her favorite movie, small conversation going on between bites :(( and when she gets all snuggly and sleepy h lies them down and pulls her in close, kissing over ever inch of her face in delicate little brushes until she falls asleep :(((

like first off THANK YOU. i generally try to write my readers/ocs as not being cynical in regards to humanity just as simple baseline but with tee, it was a specific thing for her and in fact a pointed difference between her and miyuki. for me, i am also a humanity lover and just so tired of seeing cynicism/pessimism in regards to it especially in writing (and this is of course a nuanced convo but most of the time, i encountered just plain out pessimistic characters that made it so hard to enjoy the story LOL) so that’s why i did it. very glad another humanity lover can reap the benefits too. literally nothing makes me more happy to see others enjoying specific aspects i wrote for myself that they also enjoy as well!

NOOOO don’t worry it’s not annoying AT ALL ^_^ i’m literally SO happy to talk about it. dc and daiya have my brain held hostage, i’m constantly thinking about them together or separately. it was purely indulgent to make tee a dc comics enjoyer and i am sooo glad you are enjoying that too!!!!!

(which is not to say tim didn’t have that but he’s. well. you know. tim. and then damian. i love him but. he’s more of a shade of grey i would say — however we could also consider steph here too, since i think she embodied that light to batman’s dark very well, even if she was robin for a short period of time.)

for miyuki… that is so hard. deeply fun to consider however. my dc knowledge is limited unfortunately so i can’t consider a lot of people but i think he would either really like lois lane or john constantine. i know they’re both SO random but. genuinely feel like they’re good matches. for lois i am admittedly biased because tee makes a nice reference to clark and lois in the final part of dgfh but i also do think he would like her personality. they’re both. deeply stubborn individuals. and then john is. i think that one is self explanatory. he’s got that belligerence that miyuki would enjoy LMAOOOOOO

HMMM what are my thoughts on it? Well, let’s split it in two: Deku’s side and Todoroki’s side, because that’s how it’s split in my brain atm, and allow me to start from the second because it’s easier to get through for me

I’m in love with everything Hori is doing with Todoroki and everyone involved with him - that’s to say his whole whole family and Hawks and Jeanist too, all of it, I’m so into it it’s no joke at all. Always been in love with how he handles Enji’s character and his interactions with his family and the latest developments didn’t disappoint me at all, wasn’t very much into Dabi right after the “reveal” but the more I think about it and about the story from his pov the more behind it I am, forever and always head over heels for Shouto’s way of dealing with a situation that’s as complex as one would expect from a protagonist of their very own story you could really make a manga out of the Todoroki’s family plot from Shouto’s pov alone, it’s incredible I can’t state how in love with it all I am enough. And Hawks, don’t make me start on him I’ll straight up never stop, absolutely and most definitely my favorite pro-hero I would trust him with my money and my kids 100/10 just assume I’m constantly crying over him. Also Jeanist is just hilarious so bless him and his presence in an otherwise too heavy story

Deku’s side........ well, the main problems I have with it are that one, I don’t really understant the need to keep ofa a secret from the class for the biggest part of the story when the reveal wasn’t forced upon Deku, didn’t have a huge impact on him or his relationship with the others (his leaving wasn’t directly caused by him coming clean after all, he wouldn’t have had to leave earlier had he not kept it a secret and he would have still left at this point had the class already known all along) and didn’t, like. Matter. All that much. Two, this manga is called my hero academia and I’m genuinely starting to wonder why. What was the point of all the arcs set inside the school anyway? Most of the characters growth (Deku’s especially) and the progression of the main plot happened in the arcs outside of the school anyway, and at this point it’s clear we’re not going back to the school after this or even seeing anyone graduate. What of Shinsou? What was the point of his plot when we’re not even gonna see him being active part of the class in a school environment? I’m just confused about it all, I guess. Three, which is really my biggest problem with it all, is the way Deku’s set on saving Shigaraki. It’s not like I don’t like a story in which all the villains are saved and the good guys win and love prevails and all that, call it corny but they’re exactly my type of stories, but I’m not sure I can get behind it when Twice died like that, and Midnight did as well, and Aizawa lost a leg, and Nighteye died, and Hawks might have lost his wings, and Shirakumo ended up Kurogiri and it’s still unclear whether he can be saved, like... why does Shigaraki get to be saved when so many people suffered like that? And it’s not only about them suffering by his hands, it’s about Hori and how he was ruthless with so many characters but lets the story show arbitrary kindness to Shigaraki alone, it’s all... well. Unfair. The way I see it. At this point I at the very least expect kindness for Touya as well, here.

That said if I pick the chapters one by one by themselves I do enjoy them very much. I just don’t gotta think about the big picture lmao AH but it’s all a personal opinion, of course! I know people who enjoy the way the story is going and I can see where they’re coming from, this is all arbitrary tastes and preferences on my part, I’m aware of it!

THANK YOU happy to hear you liked jjk!!!! And that’s!!! a great question, I’m not sure I have an answer actually? I binged the manga in a day and a half, you see, and when I binge stuff that fast I rarely stop to overthink things - I did ship them as I read too since, well. They’re in love lmao but I shipped them in the same way I shipped itafushi or yuutoge after I read the prequel, you know? Just a general aknowledging of how good they were together. The main point with satosugu specifically was probably that satoru has been my favorite character since the beginning of the story and suguru got there as well as soon as I read their backstory, so once I was caught up they’re the ones I ended up spending the most time thinking about, both by themselves and together, and that ended up making me a bit obsessed..... just a bit lol

If I had to give one specific moment that got me by the heart and squeezed the hardest it’d be... probably Satoru’s “my soul knows otherwise”. And the way his voice alone could bring Suguru back, even for just a single moment. The thing about satosugu for me!!! one of the many things about them, but the main thing for me, is that they love each other. Be it platonic or however you wanna see it, they love each other. Despite everything and after it all, even if Satoru had to kill Suguru, even if Suguru killed so many and betrayed Satoru and they went their separate ways in the harshest of ways, they love each other. It’s insane, isn’t it? That they’d love each other so much they could pass over everything and anything. I’ve seen the “best friends become enemies” trope so often in shounen manga, but this is the first time I see it treated like this - with love so strong that they never blamed each other or turned that love in hate. The way satosugu do it is all-encompassing! It goes beyond the world and their differences and death itself! So if I had to pick it’d be that one, because that scene happens after it’s all over, and it all went to shit and way beyond too already, and still their souls resonate with each other and answer to each other and that sends me insane, just thinking about it. Like, god, they really still love each other. Satoru’s mourned for Suguru for a year, Suguru’s been dead for a year, they’d been separated ten whole years before then, and still! And still!!! It’s so tender I don’t know how to deal with it

AH i've heard of that book! i take a lot of classes on mental healthcare/patient care so it's definitely been in my circles often. that sounds like a super cool read and i'll definitely pick it up when i have time. if you enjoyed that you might also like when breath becomes air by paul kalanithi? it's abt a neurosurgeon who gets brain cancer and he mediates on life and purpose and medicine--another thought-provoking book, but it's so beautifully written!

and no i don't mind your rambling at all! my life has been pretty uneventful but in a good way! just spending time w friends and family and doing the things i've wanted to do before i graduate from college :)
